Verstehe.
Was meint Ihr?

So now the price is becoming too expensive because of the inflation ?

No.

And about the delegates, I don't think you will have much trouble finding people who want to run delegates for LISK, if the manual is readable I think it's a nice way to earn back a Pi3 Wink

And about the ETH inflation numbers... That's their choice, this is not the ETH ICO...

I have 18 months of experience with DPoS networks. It's not as easy as you think. Wink

Yes, this is the Lisk ICO. But looking at other projects is good to see how things can be done, and shouldn't be done. Mix this with a good sense for own decisions, and we are golden.  Cool

In the first year it's 15.77%, so the Lisk community has to grow about 16% to maintain the same prices. At a 2M marketcap that's about $877 a day. That's really peanuts, in comparison Ethereum currently creates about $400,000 of new Ether every day. Bitcoin about $1,500,000. And remember, they are mining based. That means people need to sell the Ether/BTC in order to pay for their energy costs.

At Lisk however the LISK don't need to be sold right away. In fact if the community sees that a delegate is always selling all his LISK they will remove the votes from him. Because running a LISK delegate is so cheap ($5 a month), the delegates should pay themselves a part and use the remaining funds for promotion, for the Lisk users, for the faucet and so on.

Also the inflation is not happening over night. Your "45%" are happening over 1825 days! That's a crazy huge number of days for the blockchain space.

** I hope my calculations are all correct. It's getting late here. Smiley

But why 16% inflation in the first year? Why not a lower value? What problem is solved with a 16% inflation?

Creating a competition over the delegates. In the first year these 16% might be a big number in LISK, but still a small number in USD. This will create a huge demand to become a delegate and securing the Lisk network as good as possible. Also remember these 16% are distributed between 101 delegates. In the future the delegates number might even be increased.

At Crypti we had like 10 community delegates, at Lisk we want a real decentralized network.

How long are block times?  Or, better question, if there are only 101 delegates, what should be the average Lisk payout per day, per delegate.

Last question, how many delegates exist today?

Ok, just so I'm clear, in an "ideal" situation, block times are 10 seconds?  Let's a pad that number for safety sake and say that it is more realistically 15.  So if there are 86400 seconds/day, and 101 delegates, 1 delegate should make ~4275 Lisk/day.  Sound correct?

Also, I asked how many delegates exists today?  I thought I read somewhere that the Lisk servers are running so that servers can accumulate votes?  Is that correct?

I ask because 4275 Lisk/day isn't to shabby.  I may fire up a node tonight.

In an "ideal" situation the block time is 10 seconds. If one delegate is offline then one time in the round the block time will be 20 seconds. So the block times are always n*10 seconds long. Smiley

A day has 86400 seconds, so 101 delegates have the chance to forge 8640 blocks. That means one delegate can forge 85 blocks, which results in 425 LISK per day.

Right now we only have a testnet (test network). Lisk officially launches in the end of March, after the ICO and once we created a Genesis Block with all users from our ICO.

Perfect organisation ! The delegate handbook is easy to learn.
Yes.

Only the first 101 delegates can forge ? Like NXT ? Absolutely nothing for the others ?

Yes. We hope long-term we will see many "delegate pools", which pay out their rewards to their voters. Or at least to some cause like Lisk marketing or Dapp bounties. Smiley

We just released the first version of the Lisk Delegate Handbook which explains many facts about our Delegated Proof of Stake consensus algorithm, delegates, votes and forging. If you still have questions later on, please contact me and I will add the questions&answers to the handbook.

From time to time we will release other handbooks, which explain different parts of our system in layman terms. If you want to see something specific, feel free to contact me on the Lisk Chat.

Smiley

What language is used to code Lisk smart contracts?

In JavaScript, however you can't really talk about smart contracts in our case. Our dapps are not structured in op_codes, more like a regular app built on top of a blockchain.

I just noticed the version number you plan on using is 0.1.0. Why not 1.0? It's based on established and proven software, are you not confident it will be ready to go? 0.1.0 just sounds not confident.

It has nothing to do with being confident or not. Lisk is new software and it has to start with a version number. I will ask Oliver to give a statement to the 0.1.0 number. Smiley

@LiskHQ are you running any ads for the Chinese? It is is a huge market and it would be a shame to not get them on board Wink

We are in contact with someone from China. It has to be well coordinated. Something I learned at Crypti is, to not release every bit of news immediately. Better release the news in a package, this will create much more buzz. Wink

Maybe I don't know enough about the LISK concept. I have a question:

Can LISK sidechains be with integrated with any blockchain, or is development confined to the LISK blockchain? Can LISK be used to create an "Internet of Chains" as opposed to "Internet of Things"?

So, could I use LISK to write a sidechain that unifies something between 10 different alts, for example (with the LISK blockchain acting as an intermediary)? Or am I restricted to the LISK blockchain?

It could be programmed, yes. E.g. that you also save the hash of your Lisk sidechain on the Bitcoin blockchain. Using Bitcoin within that sidechain is much more complicated though. Smiley

Lisk can be used to build an "Internet of Chains", yes. It would be a whole network of different Lisk sidechains each having their own purpose or hosting its own website.

If you want "to write a sidechain which unifies something between 10 different alts", then it depends on what you want to achieve. Can you give more details?

are the bounty over? I can't even set a signature?

Yes, the bounty campaign is over. You can still add our signature though. You just won't get free LISK for it anymore.

Lisk forms Strategic Partnership with Chain of Things for Blockchain and IoT Research

We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the research lab Chain of Things. Together we will investigate merging points for blockchain technology and the Internet of Things. Through this new partnership, we hope to find possible areas of cooperation between other members, and help formulate open standards that will benefit the industry as a whole.

What exactly are you doing with the crypti? I see, that after IPO you will own about half of it?
So you have a strong force on the price of it.
Tell us:
Will you dump all crypti and let it die?
or will you horde it and let it skyrocket?

I feel scammed, if I give you crypti for peanuts and you let it skyrocket and also if I keep them and you let it die by dumping...

Everybody wants to know that, but why would they give us inside? You can give them 50% of your crypti and keep the rest 50%, for example.

As investors I think we deserve that information...

First of all we will have to hold the XCR for 1 month. Then we will see what we do. Probably nothing.

I can tell you my personal opinion, Crypti will be insignificant in the future. We have over 50%, that's enough reason.

you have 868 likers on facebook why you say 662?

There are a few Facebook pages who liked our page, I don't count them in. I suspect that some users have privacy settings which forbid me from seeing them. At Facebook I have access to a section at which I see all likes, and these are 100% the correct and (until yesterday) only ones.

Your coin has been listed on Crypto Database, if it is missing information or some information is incorrect please let me know.

You can view it here, http://cryptodatabase.net/coins.php?cat=L

Thank you very much. It would be great if you could change the icon to this: http://max.lisk.io/lisk-icon.png

Too much hype for this coin, tshirts in exchange of thousands of bitcoins? Huh

The T-Shirt shop was started by a Lisk community member. I'm very glad that our users are showing initiative.

We are not associated with the T-Shirt shop. Smiley

Any updates on Bter's withdrawals?

Unfortunately, no.

- Sehr viele Front end Fixes und einige Back end Fixes
- Forging Rewards

Wink

I just saw that YoBit has the option to add coins to their dice game. And for only 0,5 btc they also email the news about the new coin to their users. @LiskHQ until there are some lisk apps for gambling this is a very cheap and great promotion in my opinion... When the coins will be available of course Smiley

I would couple this with mobile wallets, getting some exchanges on board for trading of the coin, a good marketing budget and then further on ATM contracts (first off add them to existing BTC ATMs and later maybe even Lisk only ATMs...).

YoBit is on our list. Thanks. Didn't know the dice game, will take a look at might contact them at launch. Wink

Thank you. Smiley

Please no Yobit.... they launch fake ICO's to solve liquidity problems... same for BTER... you should not link your name to them...

But that's just my thoughts...

From a professional standpoint, I have nothing to say about the reputation of Yobit. Personally however, I would not like to see Lisk associated with Yobit.

As I've heard some people affectionately call it, "Yolobit."

Being on an exchange does not mean we are associated with it. I just said they are on our list. Not that we are actively trying to get added there. Wink

Fair enough. For future reference, just make sure to stress that point - that there is no official affiliation.

Will do. Thanks. Smiley
