When LISK "launches", how do you get yor LISK? Can you send it directly from LISK homepage to whatever adress you want? Do you first have to dl a wallet and access your LISK there?

We will also release a guide tomorrow.

@ LiskHQ  The guide is not ready ?

Within the next 1-2 hours.

Attention! A lot of people are now spreading FUD like a delayed launch or exact launch times! These information are all not true. Only official announcements by Joel, Oliver or me are valid!
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 23, 2016, 05:56:45 PM
And Please say me exact time of LISK launching (UTC or GMT)

UTC

2100 utc

Where you got this info? It's not true. Until now we are still at "evening hours". No exact time given.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 23, 2016, 05:51:07 PM
NEWS !

LISK launch is delayed (one more time) !

THIS IS WRONG! STOP SPREADING FUD!

I just reported your account to BTT admins.

You can put all your caffeinated drinks away. There won't be a midnight launch.

It's always midnight somewhere.Wink

is this midnight in Europe or US?  When is it safe for US to sleep haha?

UTC. It will be in the evening hours tomorrow. Smiley
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 23, 2016, 12:52:17 PM
We already know that, no need to repeat the news. Do we have right time for the launch?

Not everyone follows up with all news all day long. Wink

There was a simple question above, it it so hard to answer or you are not sure about the right day of the launch yet? Smiley

This question was answered a lot of times already. We don't have a specific launch time yet. It's 24th May, but we can't give the exact hour yet.

What do you mean "we don't know exactly" ?? Its tomorrow.........
When will you know? you've been planing this for months now....

There are a lot of moving parts involved. If we would announce a time and we just launch 5 minutes later, we would have a flame war going on here. Wink

Just be patient, lean back and wait for the launch on the 24th to be among the first users. Or just go offline and come back online the 25th. Smiley

How to tell you have jumped through all the hoops correctly to claim the tokens?

so far i have

a passphrase

an address

a public key?

is that all you need or should there be a private key by now?

how to even login and check you account? the old link just says ICO over now?

also to claim the sig campaign - when is the deadline for claims to be made?

I estimate during the next 5 hours we will publish a blog post which explains the process. Very easy.

Anybody have 1st day bonus showing in "My exchanges"? I see only 15% but not 1st day bonus.

1st day bonus are coming from our own pockets. Will be distributed 1-2 weeks after launch.

Lisk to Move Developers from Blockchain to Sidechain

Lisk plans to launch a modular cryptocurrency which it says would satisfy the growing interest to use the blockchain as a decentralized database for different use-cases outside of FinTech May 24.

Lisk Gears Up for May 24th Launch

The May 24 launch follows a highly successful ICO between February 22 and March 21, during which the team raised over $6 million USD. The team says that the funds raised during the ICO were in bitcoin “and other digital currencies.” Preparing for the launch on Tuesday, the team is putting the “final touches” on their platform.

Hi guys. I wish you all a great launch with no problems. As for me, I wasn't lucky enough to get some lisk in ICO (bought some in bloombit later for much higher price).

I wanted to ask, when exactly is the launch? Is this countdown completely correct:

http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/launch?iso=20160524T21&p0=%3A&msg=LISK+LAUNCH&font=serif&csz=1

It's not exact. We didn't release an exact time yet.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 22, 2016, 07:06:09 PM

You can calculate your final amount by using the final exchange rate: 0.0001821238671 BTC/LSK

Here are some rough calculations I made for a reddit user:

  • Week One Rate: 6314.38381842 LSK per BTC
  • Week Two Rate: 6039.84539153 LSK per BTC
  • Week Three Rate: 5765.30696465 LSK per BTC
  • Week Four Rate: 5490.76853776 LSK per BTC

We encourage everyone to verify their total amount.

I contributed XCR for LISK in the first week and now my total amount of LISK has decreased once "bonuses" were paid out. Is this because bonuses came from the already instated supply?

XCR deposits were not eligible for any bonus. You need to calculate YOUR_XCR * 0,000013 / 0.0001821238671 to know how many LSK you will receive.

anyone selling lisk coins as an iou with escrow before launch? whats the going price per lisk, thanks!

lots of interest so nobody knows but not too pleased with max kordek thinking investors invested in lisk for speculation purposes oh well 2 days should be fun. fudders wear your nappies

Sadly the article has a lot of mistakes. I already sent Julie an email with 10 corrections, I hope she will fix it soon. What I mean in the section you speak about was, that "I think the majority participated in the ICO due to speculation on the LSK token. While the minority don't care about the money and just want to see the platform succeed.", both reasons are 100% legit. Smiley

One nOOb question...
Is this POS (dpos) only or we can (clasic) mining Lisk (coin)?

DPoS only. No Mining.

Why did my total lisk # recently decrease?

https://blog.lisk.io/ico-bonuses-are-now-applied-to-your-exchanges-8b50e0adf9e5

Is ico.lisk.io site down? I can't get access to it.

Works for me.

Rise vs Lisk

Much success with your efforts. You are obviously going into another direction than we are. Smiley

I think it's important that you state that these features on the comparison chart are planned features, not finished ones. E.g. we don't have a mobile client yet. Smiley

Btw. How are you guys going to implement smart contracts? Will you modify the Lisk SDK and integrate EVM-js into it?

There is a description on their webpage. lisk.io

You will need to download a wallet, and transfer the lisk from there to the exchange. If that is what you want to do.

We will also release a guide tomorrow.

The LISK delegate system is a little bit unfair..

What do you think?

Lisk delegate owners can continue to vote on own delegate servers (with different wallets Wink), and because they get forging reward they can use some of it for votes. As a result, they are at a given time no more to beat.

So the rich become richer...a
nd about a few years they control the 101 delegates. am honest, what are 101 server now worldwide, that means nothing, which is not even one per country!

Like always... this is how a DPoS algo/system works, if someone will buy a lot of lisk they can setup his own 101 delegates and start to forging.

You can't block him Wink.

And 101 delegate servers is not decentralized, we own a hosting company and with almost 0 costs we can start 300 independent delegates in 6 hours...

We do not have sufficient Lisk to vote and start our own delegate server, but otherwise we were able to control the 101 network from the early beginning.

and if we technically can do this  ... others with enough LISK ico, will surely run this scenario.

You certainly don't understand the system. You can't "continue to vote on own delegate servers". 1 LSK is 1 vote, you can also only give a vote once to the same delegate. The normal PoS is a "rich get a little bit richer" system, DPoS is a "popular people who provide a great node and have great initiatives get the chance to use their funds" system.

Read this: https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-handbooks/DelegateHandbook

Thanks. Smiley

I understand that i cannot vote 10 times from one wallet.

Okay, and what for example i own 100 wallets, each balance of 1 LSK (different IP address is no problem)? Than i can vote 100x on the same delegate?

100 wallets with 1 LSK each: You have 100 votes

1 wallet with 100 LSK each: You have 100 votes

Exactly the same. But in the case of 100 different wallets you will have to pay the vote fee 100x. Wink

For another view on the price.

The following is a list of fees for different types of transactions:

0.1 LISK of amount sent for a spend transaction
5 LISK for registering a second passphrase
100 LISK for registering a username
100 LISK for registering as a delegate
1 LISK to add a contact
500 LISK to register a dapp
5 LISK per member for registering a multi-signature group.

That means, if lisk hit 5usd/1 lisk Then it would cost 2500 to register a dapp on the blockchain.
That means, if lisk hit 10usd/1 lisk Then it would cost 5000usd to register a dapp on the blockchain.
That means, if lisk hit 25usd/1 lisk Then it would cost 12500usd to register a dapp on the blockchain.

How many developers of dapps are willing to pay those prices?

If lisk should fly, and get big over time, either these prices should be adjusted, or the price of lisk should be low.
I hope the developers will lower these prices though. Because it would give better value for the developers to get into lisk. And will get the price to go up for the investors.

Im an investor my self, and want all the best for lisk. But we need to have a realistic view on these things

Fees can and will be changed down the road. They will also be lowered at launch.

is it true max kordek is planning a new project with the DOA ?

I just stated that there is a big possibility we will work on a DAO (or something similar/better) down the road. Right now it's all Lisk core. Wink

Hello everyone,

I just updated the Lisk <-> Ethereum comparison chart. Please note that as a fan of all decentralized technologies this is a serious effort to compare both platforms. Unfortunately, I'm not up-to-date on Ethereum. If an information is wrong, please send me an email and I will fix it asap.

Under Blockchain Apps/Smart Contracts, it says "defined by dapp dev," it should be blockchain app dev with change in terminology.

Thanks. Fixed. Smiley
