To speculate now

Speculation as a human character is quite normal, everyone does it.

If Lisk has a Term Weekly Summary then of course the people ask for the last 3 publications.
How can Lisk counteract such speculations? Easy. Power simply a Four Weekly Summary.

This week we will post a blog post regarding the weekly summary and all other reports. We are currently refining all communications, our social media and forums we have.

Rebranding was talked about like MONTHS AGO.

Max has targeted the Q1 2017, perhaps Q2.
This are the last informations at the community meeting on February 11.

https://forum.lisk.io/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=1420

Question 15

Definitely Q2.

Good. That means between the meeting and today there was progress with the topic and you would definitely say that the rebranding is happening in the Q2.

Officially it will span a little bit longer. (People are ignorant if they believe it's just a matter of hiring a $10/h designer and let him do it in 2 weeks)

However, by Q2 we will have a lot of things ready to show. The whole rebranding consists of strategy, corporate identity, brand identity, logo, media kit, website, desktop/web client , mobile client, blockchain explorer and style library.

Should focus on SDK rather than makeup jobs I thought Max. They all can wait. Can you tell current state of SDK? Can definitely Q2 for SDK?

Has nothing to do with it. Logical SDK is already in the focus.
But by the way, the design agency can still work on rebranding.

And that's what we're talking about related to Q2.

Exactly. They are distinctive fields which will be worked on in parallel. This was our biggest flaw in the past, everything could only be done sequentially because employees were missing. Now we have more and more people in our team and things can be done in parallel more.

Yes I agree to the $ 10/h designer...  Bitcointalk is full of designers  Cheesy

What do you think about a preview of the Media Kit e.g. for the community, maybe in chat?

We will show the results once they are ready. We just started and it's a big job.

Rebranding was talked about like MONTHS AGO. Id have to say im starting to get quite disappointed in the level of progress compared to the success of the ICO. Its become apparent that Max and Co are not great businessmen and anyone that is left holding will be relying on a fluke at best for this coin to go anywhere other than down in 2017. Very disappointed in LISK. I was one of the original defenders.... bext time I will do more research in the team. Im pretty sure now that devs are just waiting for everyone to give up and then enjoy their money alone. Could even call it a scam. Nothing tangible in over a year. Same wallet, same ugly logo and price had died. I wont be selling but I have wasted $1200 AUD believing in people I shouldn't have

Have you read our roadmap (soon to be updated)? https://blog.lisk.io/lisk-development-roadmap-5afc4cd0612e

Are there already any Dapps fully running on Lisk?
Yes, Blocksafe.
There are also many testnet and alpha projects waiting on the next version of the sdk.
We tested 6 separate games for instance
Battlechain has asteroids and space invaders, happy luck has poker and other games, Lisk Space mission, etc
I've had a ton of fun with the sig campaign crew alpha testing them for bonus stakes Grin

Is there a way to make this thread "self moderated"?

No. Other projects are creating whole new threads or close them down completely because of these on-going FUD campaigns.

I think Waves has tried that too with a new thread, but that did not work and the community was angry  Shocked

I see. Yes, we will definitely not create a new one. Especially, because I don't like moderated, public threads at all.

Is it something we should consider so has to keep this thread "fud-free"?

No, we just have to continue to deliver consistently and move into the real world. You can't run away from FUD on BTT.

Furthermore, a pre-payment of around 200,000 EUR (213.610 CHF) was conducted with one of the Lisk Foundation's main contractors which handles development, marketing and community support. This pre-payment is not for January only, after the first quarter the real costs can be better estimated.

the team doesn't even do their own development. they contract it out to a third party - who knows who this is?? lol

garbage team.

Lol its a non profit, they can't pay themself with it.  But they can pay LightCurve thou...   It's only a structure to be able to use those funds according the the country laws

It's seem to me majority of Lisk coding is done by fixscrypt but now fixscrypt already moved to Ark. I read on Ark forum Lisk codebase is full of bugs because of rushing out so fixcrypt rewrote it again for Ark. It need to be bug free before they can releasing Ark. My experience I have ton of problems with Lisk on Polionex, deposit and withdrawal. I'm surprised Poloniex still have Lisk.

Every contribution can be seen here: https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk/graphs/contributors

Make your own assumptions, however please with accurate data.

What is the timetable to increase Lisk to ARK's supposed 5 tps, Bitcoin's 7 tps, or eventually to a number beyond these other coins?

Transaction-per-second capability matters.

We could potentially support more already, with the changes in the next 3 versions we could probably support A LOT more. However, we will just keep it at 2.5 tps, as we don't need more at this point. That means we are reacting with a very generous lag here in order to increase security.

Lisk takes home the 2016 Wolong Award for Best ICO

Congratulations!

Thanks!

"It has grown by thousands of lines of code, but what hasn’t happened is the growth of the Blockchain Applications SDK with the changes in Lisk-Core. While the existing implementation does work, it is not as easy to leverage as one would expect. Going forward the existing Applications SDK will be deprecated and archived."

So the roadmap is going to be rewritten, how long of a development setback is this weeks, months, years?

This has nothing to do with a development setback, just a re-adjustment of the roadmap. Which will likely happen every few months anyways.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: February 07, 2017, 07:17:43 AM
Lisk started with a bang but has become real quiet. Calm before the storm or RIP?

I think the calm before the storm, because in the long term, LISK great future ... I look after the purchase of the coin ...

LISK has great potential. But it has a strong competitor now: Nxt 2.0. That's why I do think LISK developers should work harder

https://www.reddit.com/r/Lisk/comments/4ud6yp/nxts_ardor_and_its_childchains_sound_a_lot_like/

No competitor.

We did almost 4,000 in Haskell with just a single team in under three months: https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-sl Smiley

With such a big team and a project started from scratch it's definitely faster than one developer (2016, core) on an existing code base. No one is going to argue that.
