61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin became the decade’s biggest unicorn on: January 22, 2020, 02:51:31 PM
The term unicorn did really made a fuss. But what is really the similarity of bitcoin and the unicorn. The unicorn is a kind of horse with wings, a mythical horse like no other. Bitcoin on the other hand is the king of cryptocurrency like no other.  Unicorn can fly and soar in the sky and so is bitcoin it can soar to the moon during bullish moments but just like the unicorn who gets back to land after it fly bitcoin also has bearish moments.

But seriously, bitcoin is a unicorn because bitcoin is legendary. It has made greater feats in the cryptocurrency world and up to now is still the king and the leading cryptocurrency in the world. It has brought about big changes in the financial economy and has brought many people into riches in just years of holding. In short  bitcoin is the mythical cryptocurrency that is loved by many.

Isn't the horse with wings is called pegasus?  Unicorn on the other hand is a horse with one horn in the middle of its forehead.  It is a mythical creature that can only appear in a person's dream or wild imagination.  Though I am a bit confuse about being Bitcoin a unicorn since as what Wind_fury stated it is out of reach while Bitcoin  is already within reach.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 01:21:16 PM
Value starts with the technology and ends with peoples attention.  I think the two should be considered when we are talking about value.  Technology for its usefulness in peoples' life.  But it does not ends there, the realization of the value of a technology if people took notice of it and get interested with it.  Same goes with other items such as gold.  If people are not interested in acquiring gold, would it have its current value?
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the right way to teach them? on: January 22, 2020, 12:17:41 PM
We all know how worked hard Satoshi Nakamoto made the blockchain, for the ease of all of us, should we not do anything for this?
So the answer is yes, we too should do something.

That's why I and some of my friends have decided that we will. We will build a small academy with only two or three rooms, where we will tell people about blockchain, without any fees.

I want to know this from you, is this a good idea? Please tell me if this is not the right way.

We can only invest two or three months for this Academy.

Lessons:
How blockchain works.
How to send or receive.
How to buy/sell cryptocurrencies ( Trading).
What is the private Key.
What is the difference between Coins and Tokens.
What is ICO or IEO.

Sound like a complete pacakge to me.  I guess those topic are enough to enable your audience to have a grasp about cryptocurrency and how to buy them to get profit.  One thing to add, you shoul also give them information about possible scam projects and scam company that take advantage of investors through the disguise of being cryptocurrency.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do cryptocurrencies diversify each other? on: January 22, 2020, 11:26:18 AM
Buying different crypto is also a form of diversification.  Each cryptocurrency have their own phase of rallying since they have different project owner and developer.  They also have different roadmap and different set of investors.  One crypto may crash yet the other one may rally.  So I believe cryptocurrency is different and diversify from each other.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin moves like Gold? on: January 21, 2020, 02:34:55 PM
I do not think that Bitcoin Market moves like Gold Market, if we look at their chart history and plot it together, they don't move at the same pace, sometime they even move the opposite direction.  I think it is just a coincidence that at recent movement, Bitcoin moves like Gold.  Well it can happen to all stocks in the market.  There is always a certain point in time that a two different stocks can move at the same pace.
66  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Okay. Charge tax on bitcoin. Is this fair policy? on: January 21, 2020, 02:02:43 PM
I am ok with the government imposing tax in our crypto (Bitcoin) profit.  Government needed our taxes to improve infrastructure, maintain the order and defense of the country from any invading forces. It (tax) is use to fund the country's welfare and use for public services.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price on: January 21, 2020, 01:28:38 PM
You should have bought btc while it was cheaper i know its easier said than done but that's a fact when everyone is expecting good returns because of the btc halving. If you really want to earn good return then you should take the risk. Not all the time btc's price is dropping there are certain time it will pump.

Well it was already in the past, there is nothing OP can do about it right now.  All he can do is look for another opportunity to buy Bitcoin at lower price and I think today might be a good time.  There are still several months before the halving and Bitcoin rally is just starting and it is best to buy during the start of a rally then sell on or after the peak right before the price goes down.  That way he will get a good profit from his investment.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price on: January 20, 2020, 12:11:44 PM
I had a bitcoin but withdrew like a month and half ago on coinbase to pay some college loans especially since the value kept dropping.  Obviously not the case now, I have $4,000 in the bank, what can I do now to make the best of bitcoin or can you give me strategies as it starts rising again?
Well, I'll just recommend you to purchase right now while it's not too late because Bitcoin halving is getting close because there is some speculation that Bitcoin will enter the bull trend. However, if bitcoins price goes well then you could still HOLD it and that is the strategy I can give, just HOLD and wait till the right time comes that you think would be profitable enough for you then sell.

I agree, currently Bitcoin sentiment just turned bullish.  It means the Bitcoin rally is just starting, buying at this point will possibly give us a profit  when the rally reaches its peak.  Aside from that, Bitcoin is nearing its having, so more hype and bullish sentiment is thrown in the market.  Who knows, with this a FOMO might happen and that will really gives those who buy today a good chance for a greater profit in a short span of time.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we been entertained? on: January 20, 2020, 11:45:11 AM
On my study and analysis, I discovered that the bull runs like four years interval, and with this too,if you observe it is planning to confirm my analysis. Now, all the news about baktt advances breaking and all the likes, are they just crypto-drama or arranged news to keep us busy and entertained?

This crypto events are here to give more awareness to the people.  I do not think they are just dramas (except the CW case claiming to be Satoshi) because they contribute on what Bitcoin is today.  Aside from that adoption also raises the bar of adoption for Bitcoin and somehow help with the demand in the market. They are not only entertainment but a real life case where Bitcoin is being utilized in real life.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Reach $400,000 After Halving, History Dictates on: January 20, 2020, 11:14:44 AM
$400k after the halving?  Maybe after another decade or 3 more halving after this.  But I can say if OP is talking about this coming halving then it is very impossible.  Bitcoin is really struggling to break its ATH or cross that $30k barrier, it is an exaggerated claim in my opinion and think how much money should the investors to pour in to Bitcoin in order to hit that amount in a very short period of time.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Plunged $700 Upon Reaching $9,060, Correction or Reason To Panic? on: January 20, 2020, 10:17:44 AM
Funny how OP got worried about the $700 dip, there are far more worse cases of Bitcoin where Bitcoin even crash for more than thousands of dollar in just less than a day.  This is normal with highly volatile asset so there is nothing to panic here.  People who bought under $8k  are shorting to reap their profit.  After all the selling is done, we can see another rally so there is no need to worry.

4. Pagkatapos mapili piindutin ang right click at piliin sa dropdown ang spend from

(Note: the current fee is 12 satoshi per byte this sample was created noong mataas pa ang transaction fee)

73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin touch 9k USD next month? on: January 19, 2020, 01:28:55 PM
Congratulations you don't have to wait next month to see Bitcoin 9k$ price. In the morning it was 9100$ and all of sudden while I was having my evening tea I saw a downword slide of approx 500$. Now Bitcoin is at 8600$. You cant ever predict this currency with accuracy.

Well as we observed it is short lived after hitting $9k.  It hits $9k yesterday and revisted it again today, then after that  sellers become to dump Bitcoin pushing it downward to $8600, do you think price will go below $8k, I read some negative view about Bitcoin revisiting $6k after this rally to $9k.  Is it even possible while Bitcoin sentiment is bullish?
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we now confirm that he's Faketoshi.? on: January 19, 2020, 01:08:15 PM
No keys, no proof.
By this statement, it only shows another lie from him. Another proof that the only thing he know is to lie and benefit himself.
And what is that thing he said that he will received the key in the future, what a nonsense talk coming from him. Is he making a fool of the court and all people. LOL.

Indeed he is making a fool of the court and the people who believe his statement.  Honestly, there should be no discussion like this nor argument if he is really Satoshi or not.  If he cannot provide the needed signed message then he is fake.  Even if he had provided and signed the key, we should also look deeper on the character.  His knowledge about coding compared to the real Satoshi, his way of speaking or even his sentence construction.  We can't fake habit and style of writing and sentence construction.  As long as these things were not proven by Craig, he will always be a Faketoshi and an Identity thief.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright provided the list of addresses that contains 1.1 million btc on: January 19, 2020, 12:28:48 PM
Here is latest on that 1.1 million btc
Quote
"Wright responded in the affirmative, claiming that a “bonded courier” who possesses the keys to unlock the encrypted Bitcoin would arrive this month. Until the appearance of said courier, Wright said that the alleged “Tulip Trust” containing the Bitcoin would remain inaccessible."

Craig just found an excuse.  I bet this bonded courier will never arrive.  Or he will do a scenario of hi-jacking such important file.  Craig had been lying all these years, why do we have to believe him?  This event is a staged one created by Craig himself to delay and mislead people to the actual information.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi think that quantum computers will exist? on: January 19, 2020, 12:10:29 PM
There's a lot of time to update Bitcoin to an even stronger encryption.

We will have a quantum resistant upgrade. People will transfer their coins to quantum resistant addresses, but a lot of coins (million+) won't be moved to these secure addresses as they are "lost" coins and nobody can move them.
Which fork will you use post quantum?
a) the fork with all Bitcoins where quantum computer owners will get the "lost" coins and will be the new owners.
b) the fork where "lost" coins are burnt and can't have new owners.

It seems the first choice (a) is inevitable.  Once fork started, those addresses that did not follow instructions or left untouched will be vulnerable to being decoded by quantum computers.  Unless the developers got the first hand on those coins, there is no other option but that first one (a).
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best methods for sending BTC with low fees? on: January 19, 2020, 11:38:52 AM
<~~~~>

there is also a step 0 to this that sometimes some beginners mess up.
0. don't accumulate dust in your wallet.
"dust" is the small transaction outputs, or in simple terms it is the small payments that you receive from different places like faucets, micro jobs,... not only it is a waste of time but also when it is time to spend all those coins the resulting transaction size will be huge and require a much higher fee.

Few days ago I made some transaction from my electrum wallet and a response was "Transaction could not be broadcast due to dust output", until today I haven't understand the disadvantage. Thanks for the explanation.

If you are still encountering the problem you can do this method provided in this site: https://freedomnode.com/blog/78/how-to-sweep-bitcoin-dust-to-a-single-wallet-address-with-electrum,  that also includes on how to lower the fees needed in sweeping dust in your wallet.
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit 15K in 2020? on: January 18, 2020, 01:18:51 PM
I am not good at predicting price through chart movement so I always look for price prediction on the internet and read articles and news regarding Bitcoin.  While searching the net almost majority of article are writing about a possible $14k rally before the halving and possible $20k at the end of the year due to the halving hype effect.  I don't dare to say that it will hit $15k this 2020 but I am hoping that bitcoin will.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Hodlonaut? on: January 18, 2020, 12:42:49 PM
So it looks like CSW is losing all his battle in the frontline.

i don't think he cares as he is feeding of the drama and loves to prolong it as long as he can.
besides he may actually be happy about this because the court didn't rule against it (nor for him). the case was just dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction instead of proving that CSW is a scammer which is obvious to the rest of us. and he will continue scamming...

Indeed, its a win - win scenario for Craig because if Hodlonaut wins, it automatically label Craig a scammer and all this drama will automatically end.

this case and problem are not finished yet, if I give advice, it seems there is some truth to it from some people, we don't need to discuss people like CSW don't need to discuss it again in this forum so as not to increase their popularity here, I often see him playing with the law usually ending in defeat at the end

But we can't help but to discuss it because it gives us more information on what is happening aside from the Bitcoin market.  It also warn us of people to avoid and not to trust.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 18, 2020, 12:16:01 PM
Do you think celebrities in the mainstream world are still using Bitcoin for their own benefit? If so, which famous people are deeply into Bitcoin right now? I'd love to see someone like Keanu Reeves, Microsoft's Satya Nadella, or even Apple's Tim Cook using (and patronizing) Bitcoin someday. At such degree, I think Bitcoin would've reached massive adoption within the mainstream world. Thoughts? Huh

What any reason would a celebrity have in participating in cryptocurrency.  Like many of us I think they are in for profit.  Company hires advertisers and known individual to promote their services, so probably that is one reason why known personalities are surfacing now telling their audience that they are using Bitcoin or support cryptocurrency.  Though they have their profit in it, it is very good for crypto community because it will help in accelerating adoption.  Imagine if their fan follow them in using and participating in crypto market activities, that will be a good boost to the industry.
