961  Economy / Economics / Re: China closes exchanges on: September 22, 2017, 11:04:13 PM
I guess that is good news, the cat is out of the bag and no more rumors. China closes all exchanges based on the fact that they are operating without a formal license.

Which means there will be regulation and licenses coming soon, a good step forward.

https://www.coindesk.com/document-lists-closure-steps-for-chinas-bitcoin-exchanges/

yeah that is a good thing about the action of Chinese government regarding these "hostile" action against exchanges that has no formal license.  I believe Chinese government is going big in Bitcoin this coming months, when all the unlicensed company that deal with bitcoin shutdown.  China will be trading with Clean Bitcoins.  Is not that great?
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: September 22, 2017, 10:02:48 PM
Crimes had been increasing even without Bitcoin. I do not think that Bitcoin encourages the growth of crimes and illegal activities.  I also think government had been mislead by this anti Bitcoin group into thinking that Bitcoin is the reason why illegal activities like fraud and money laundering increase.  If they only knew bitcoin is so transparent that moving even a single satoshi is recorded in the blockchain.
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: right time to buy alts on: September 21, 2017, 11:52:13 PM
I think this depends on the altcoin you are investing.  If this altcoin have a huge community then it is really best to invest when it is going down,  But if the altcoin have no future then stay away from it even if this altcoin is plummeting.  I think the best time is when there is FUD lingering around the market of the coin.  Weak hand will definitely sell at a lost.  Another one is invest at its ICO stage for there is a possible bonus program for early birds.
964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Falling Down? on: September 21, 2017, 11:41:56 PM
Bitcoin is still falling down right after the recovery from the previous dip.  I do not know what caused the dip now though I think the support had already exhausted making Bitcoin price to go down below $4000 again.  I think it will continue to fluctuate this way until the market is clear of this Chinese FUD.  Sad we have to wait another month to see the real effect of closure of exchanges in China.
965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Prices Reach $5,000 Again Without China? on: September 21, 2017, 11:24:59 PM
Definitely Bitcoin will reach that price even without these Chinese investors.  It may take a while but we know Bitcoin is expanding its market everyday.  More and more people are going into cryptocurrency so this gap that Chinese government made will eventually filled by the new bloods in cryptocurrency.  Let us just wait and see how Bitcoin recover its price and break the $5000 barrier once again.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who owns the technology, owns the world on: September 21, 2017, 11:10:01 PM
Kind of a side note, but I just watched an interview with the founder of Alibaba - Jack Ma - who says that in the coming decades, data will be the new "water & soil" as it is becoming ever more important in today's world.

The more data you have, the more powerful you are. It is that simple. If you don't know anything, or in other words lack any significant amount of data, you will walk around ignorantly as others who do have data become rich.

So it all falls down to information.  We are already in an information era, so definitely having more data is an advantage.  One can't take advantage of any technology if they do not have information on how to use it.  Or no one can create another advanced discovery if they do not have the fundamental data in their hand.  So it is true that "He who owns the information, he owns the world".
967  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-22]Will Ireland Become The Home Of Crypto As Government Backed [.....] on: September 21, 2017, 10:50:50 PM
Any country that accept and supports cryptocurrency will become home of it.  So I guess Ireland will be one of the country that will produce high volume trading in Bitcoin.  Aside from that, if Ireland really released their first ICO then it will be but I checked all the link in there and  my browser cant find the DNS.  Is this a hoax trying to get attention towards this mingocoin?  Or some errors in your linking?
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU AGREE? on: September 21, 2017, 10:33:59 PM
OP's statement were during the Bitcoin bull run, it seems the speculation failed already.  At this state, Chinese getting very aggressive in controlling Bitcoins transaction to the point of banning them and the possible shutdown of mining farm in their country.   I think Bitcoin needs a lot to recover from this dip.

I only see bitcoin going to $5k or maybe $6k by the end of the year, those prices are realistic, i dont expect 1000k by december, because that is not going to happen, and you all know that... by the way, i still believe in bitcoin, but the are too many optimistic people who really thinks that bitcoin will reach that fantastic price, maybe it will happen in some years, but not now people.

That is what in my mind too but there is still another quarter for Bitcoin rally, so I guess there is still a possibility even though it is slim.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Big Threat According To China on: September 21, 2017, 10:13:10 PM
I believe bitcoin is not a threat to any government.  It only address the flaw of financial institution.  That is the reason why PBOC is pushing Chinese government to ban Bitcoin exchanges and control its transaction.  It is not the government itself but rather the financial institution that feels the threat brought by bitcoin.  And I agree with OP that Chinese government will give a strict regulation regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency  but the time will come that it will embrace the change brought by Bitcoin in their financial system.  It is inevitable, so they have to.
970  Economy / Economics / Re: To be a millionaire in the United States is to still be poor on: September 20, 2017, 10:55:00 PM
Wow,  i thought that having a living in United States was cheap, i was wrong. A lot of my friends that are living in USA told me that they were earning a lot of money, and that everybody could easily live in there and afford spending some money everyday. But i see that there is still necessity in all the countries, but i didnt imagine that it happened on usa.

Definitely you are wrong Cheesy  in my place where a dollar is 51x higher than my countries currency means I have to earn 51x my current earning to live a decent life in US.  But well why do I have to problem it when I am happy living in my tropical country Smiley besides Bitcoin and cryptocurrency can be use by everyone.  Let's just be happy about that  Grin.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN DISADVANTAGES on: September 20, 2017, 10:39:19 PM
- Very high shipping costs
- Very long delivery time.

I think if this can not be overcome, it will be difficult to make bitcoin as the world currency.
Both of these issues remain my mind whether anyone can cope or never will

Lol, it is way cheaper than a parcel from one city to another city, besides if you paid the right transaction fee, it is faster than delivering a goods from one sector to another sector.  We just need to know the right fee.  But if you failed to know this you will always be imprisoned with that thought.  Oh btw, that is why segwit2x needs to be activated soon Cheesy

this is really  the big problem in bitcoin community the transfer rate ! theres really a high price to pay but the solution here will be answer sooner or later and i hope a new ICO to be launch will be base on this and will give solution on every bitcoiner!

sample:COINS.PH wallet
CASH IN : almost a dollar for any amount
CASH OUT: 0.014% for minimum of 200 USD and fixed $2.8 for 200 USD below
MONEY TRANFER or BTC to BTC = $10 almost
CONVERTION : almost 160 usd difference on buy in and sell out of bitcoin

This is a third party processor sure you have to pay more for fee, this is why bitcoin needed to be adopted by every individual.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: September 20, 2017, 10:23:07 PM
As much as I love to keep this Bitcoin if the needs arises and I have to convert them to fiat currency then I will.  But if I have the budget to support all my needs then I will happily keep it for another 5 to 10 years.  I always want to see Bitcoin to hit it goal of having a price of a hundred thousand dollar a piece  Grin.  I will be too happy to encash that 1 BTC gift by then.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: September 20, 2017, 10:02:14 PM
Bitcoin is changing the way we live.
Bitcoin is changing the way we do business.
Bitcoin is changing the way we travel and save our assets.
Bitcoin and blockchain technology has open new doors for people to do business with one another without the intervention of third parties.

What do you make of this, huh? Share with us what you think. thanks Smiley

It think at the current adoption of Bitcoin, it is too little to take notice on how it changed the world with regards to economic scale.  But I guess it has really huge impact on the technology.  It is where it stands out in changing the world.  As first mover to decentralized blockchain, it gives inspiration to many aspiring developers to create their own blockchain projects and contribute in the technological industry.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy or wait? on: September 20, 2017, 09:28:54 PM
I'd say buy if you can't wait for Waves to decline in price.  But since there is an upcoming new development, I can say price will not likely to fall this time, it might increase in price as day passes.  So I think it is better to buy now than wait for the time that  it is more expensive than today's price.  Remember development means hype to the market and naturally price will increase during that time.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge is Dead? on: September 20, 2017, 09:08:40 PM
I thought doge won't rise to its current price, it was too idle for so long then some months ago all of a sudden doge move up in price, probably a pump but it keeps the community motivated and somehow gather more supporters.  But with its large supply and no cap, I believe Doge is just overpriced at this point.  There is no way for doge but to decline in price though I can say it will survive for several years before eventually forgotten in the cyberspace.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO fundrising survive at 2018+? on: September 19, 2017, 09:35:52 PM
Ico will survive.  This had been the vehicle of startups that are promising but lack in project.  As long as blockchain technology exist, I believe Initial Coin Offering will survive, it may change its name just like IPO, ITO, or any kind of crowdfunding.  Now if blockchain ceased to exist then that will be the sign of ICO not surviving.
977  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins has price drop to below USD 3500 on: September 15, 2017, 11:13:29 PM
Bitcoin already recovered now.  I believe those who bought at the bottom are already grinning now.  And those who shorted above $4k and did not fail to accumulate during the dip are very happy thinking that they are smart guy to take advantage of the right timing in selling and in buying.  Though I think Bitcoin price is yet stable since many exchanges based in China are declaring their closure but probably this thing will pass and will be outweighed by the coming upgrade of bitcoin.
978  Economy / Economics / Re: China banning bitcoin exchages, good or bad? on: September 15, 2017, 10:37:04 PM
China does not want to close legitimate exchange but only those who does not comply with their standards.  I read that these exchanges are closing because they do not have license to operate and does not comply with the requirement of the Chinese government.  People mistakenly understood this and think that China is banning Bitcoin.  I think they just wanted to clean their country of  exchanges that does not follow their strict requirements and possibly prepare a cleaner services for Bitcoin.  Probably this is better for the future of bitcoin.
979  Economy / Economics / Re: how can bitcoin help the community? on: September 15, 2017, 10:25:59 PM
One way Bitcoin help in the community is giving every person to have an opportunity to earn.  With the booming industry of Bitcoin, it offers lots of freelancing job that a qualified person can take advantage.  Aside from that it also serve a  a good store of value so buying it means investing and saving at the same time.  It also enable the community to send transaction from their own control wallet to other people and avoid the trouble limitations set by banks and financial institution.
980  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin single handedly dropped 20% in the last 24 hours! on: September 15, 2017, 10:10:05 PM
Would be hard to see it coming if there are people doing insider trading with it, right. The Chinese didn't do anything to confirm or contradict the rumors that they are closing exchanges. That silence speaks volumes.

I don't believe they'd close exchanges, the result of that would be chaotic for the common Chinese folk investing in BTC. I wouldn't be surprised if the government is just allowing this to be able to buy coins for cheap though

I do believe it is not over yet. I'm not familiar with the technical side but it seems we'd still see another scare come November.

Chinese government wanted these exchanges to comply with their regulations and rules.  I think those exchanges that shutdown do not have licence to operate since one of the exchanges stated that they do not need a license to operate when they started.  And now that the government of China tightens its rules, they have to shutdown first before complying.  I believe they will be reopen their services once they had all the necessary documents for the operation.
