262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to fill bag with altcoin on: July 07, 2019, 07:05:56 PM
With the recent changes in BTC price, altcoin is getting weaker against BTC, so, this is a good time to pick and fill the bag. Another important part is, after BTC bullrun, once BTC get stable, altcoin follow the bullish trend.
Is it right decision to pick some more altcoin?
I’m not sure, i don’t trust altcoins that much and besides, BTC will not be stable in price, it will always be volatile and will surprise you everyday. Anyway, bitcoin price has gone higher already lately but we don’t see any sign that alts are following. It will still be your decision but be wise, pick the ones that have already built good reputations for a lower risk.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't bite more than you can chew on: July 07, 2019, 07:01:39 PM

- For bounty, participate in projects you can finish at a time. If you combine too many projects together, you might end up not getting anything reasonable from all the projects. I wonder some times when i see spreadsheets where some have 0 stake almost all through.

This true. I also wonder why a lot of participants registered and listed but majority do not have stakes or do not have activities. They might have joined in every bounty they considered good but do not have the capability to perform all the tasks.
264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Facebook’s Libra + Bitcoin + Trump + Israel = 666 Orwellian Dystopia on: July 07, 2019, 06:54:50 PM
Are you serious? How then did the number 666 came out with the additions you made? The bible said that 666 is a number of a man and not a thing.

Revelations 13:18
“Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”
265  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-06]Iranian Official Says US Congress is Working to Block Iran’s Crypto on: July 07, 2019, 06:44:35 PM
So have Iran changed their views to cryptocurrencies especially when they recently are "concerned" with cryptocurrencies taking up too much power from their mining operations? The way I see it is its more like a political move rather then a diplomatic move done by Iran. Nevertheless this still sounds good overall for their crypto industry in terms of looking at the big picture especially when they are planning on how will they make things work for the industry.
That is if Iran is serious about cryptocurrency or more serious in making political issues with the US? I don’t see anything good with this poor hypocrite country. I guess they will not be able to sustain miners with good electricity if they are also struggling economically. They better focus on building their nuclear plants.
266  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: British FCA proposing full ban on crypto CFD on: July 07, 2019, 06:27:59 PM
at least for now, we can squeak by with VPN. whether the service providers keep letting that fly, who knows?

I have reasons to believe that service providers are allowing VPN.access to their services, and will continue to do so because 1.) they are not getting caught and; 2.) that is still profit no matter how you put it. Regulators might be pressing down hard on exchanges and services, but then again services need to make profit, and they'd do silly things, even going so far to bend the rules and act as if nothing is happening just to get that profit.
Yea but for the meantime this is not yet happening. For the meantime exchanges are still asking for kyc and sometimes not all but few are still tight when it comes to requiring documents to prove identity which frustrate some small traders like us but its the truth, exchanges need profit ,I do hope they will really overlook some imperfections in the part of the traders as you said by bending rules.
267  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can We Expect A Legally Compliant Bitcoin Bank Soon? on: July 07, 2019, 06:18:58 PM

In the bank you can file a loan with your bitcoin or crypto as the collateral. Maybe even have the facility where you can deposit your bitcoin under the bank's safety platform.

And what are you expecting to loan, fiat? If it is a bitcoin bank or cryptocurrency bank then they keep cryptocurrency so that will be another thing if you are expecting to take a loan in fiat and use your deposited cryptocurrency as collateral because you can just cash out your deposited cryptocurrency  or else you will need to loan bitcoin and make other assets as collateral.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token Sale Evolution? on: July 06, 2019, 01:18:43 PM

They call it be different name but it seem the same thing as IEO.  Sooner we may call it Exchange Token Distribution and the first time who use the kind of term will make it look like they are the first to have done it but certainly its still what it is. People invest thru it. We'll soon lose track of this evolution and then facebook will have its own as well..
True. Its like the same soup naming it differently according to their own dialect. I think they just want to make it sound differently to make a different impact to new investors but people cannot be fooled, they will always put their money in what they believe to be profitable and reliable.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Would you participate in new project if it is not listed in ICO rating websites? on: July 06, 2019, 01:10:39 PM
For me it doesn’t matter if it is listed or not as long as I know the project itself and the developers already have credibility in handling the said project. You know there are developers that are already known to be handling successful projects in the past. Besides, ICO ratings is not that reliable, we all know why and even if the project is listed, having high ratings does not guarantee that the project is not a scam but, nevertheless, I don’t see why a good project would refuse to be listed in ICO sites. First, that will a plus popularity and not to deny that there are investors that really consider listing to be a big deal.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: July 06, 2019, 12:05:15 PM
It will surely have good impact on crypto market in general but some are saying it will outrival bitcoin which is very hard to believe for me ,globalcoin will do fine no doubt but can't rival bitcoin
Naaaaa! I don’t believe it. This incoming new altcoin will surely be centralized, will be a stable coin from which i’ve heard about and will have its specific purpose different from that of Bitcoin. It will surely be for the use of these leading social media facebook and WhatsApp and can’t be considered a digital asset like bitcoin.
271  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Kapa-Community Ministry Investment scam on: July 05, 2019, 10:03:09 PM
From what I know meron na silang Cease and Desist Order from SEC pero nag-file sila ng petition sa korte.

273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Would Really Buy Facebook Coin? on: July 04, 2019, 09:16:33 PM
Quote
This will be a “stable coin” so will presumably remain at a fixed price, pegged to a basket of international currencies, and not just to the dollar as other stable coins currently are.

If it will be a stable coin remaining at a fixed price so I don’t see any chance to profit from it unlike bitcoin and other altcoins that are volatile. It cannot be regarded as an asset and will not be profitable for investment and will solely serve as a mean of payment and for transferring money from one end to another. Facebook users may probably buy it for the purpose of its usage but not to be stored and held like bitcoin and even if I buy of it and store in a wallet they’ve provided, my money will unlikely grow since its price will be stable unless they give interest for storing it in their wallet.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: July 04, 2019, 08:52:14 PM
They are not limited to bounty promoters, some project developers are also promoting their ICOs in cryptocurrency sites by making announcements and other cryptocurrency platforms. There are articles that are being published and videos made about the project in youtube and besides, most investors can also be found in cryptocurrency sites like bitcointalk and other related sites. The fact that they fail in reaching softcap and hardcap does not really mean they lack promotions, some of the investors do not just trust ICOs anymore.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Psychological Technique - Play without Pressure on: July 04, 2019, 08:36:37 PM
But players do not always have the same kind of motives as yours. Some are really doing the strategy 2, for the purpose of doubling or tripling their money and from this comes disappointment and stress. It is indeed good to set aside a certain amount of money that you are willing to lose but some gamblers believe that they should never think of losing but always of wining because they say it is bad luck to think about it so it is really difficult to adopt  that kind of mindset in strategy 1.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi aka Craig Wright seems goes straight to jail :D on: July 04, 2019, 02:58:52 PM
Will he actually go to jail for this? I don't know the US law, but he'll probably just pay a few grands in fines for wasting court's time, which is like nothing to him.
I don't follow his case closely, are there any things that could actually send him to jail? Would stealing Kleinman's qualify for that? But regardless, things won't change much - almost everyone knows he's a fraud, and those who follow him are either trolls, lunatics or morons.
If it will not do him any harm to pay some few grands for fines how do we think will it affect his reputation, his name, face and credibility? That would be a very shameful thing if proven that he did his best to perform identity theft. A fame whore of a kind.  Anyway, he has nothing to lose that could just be natural to him.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason we need cryptocurrencies on: July 04, 2019, 09:54:33 AM
Well, there’s a lot of things to be considered as advantages of cryptocurrencies. Aside from the advantages mentioned above, one of the best advantage it gives is, it gives the less fortunate individual in finding jobs to have the chance to earn and employ themselves by finding strategy on how to earn more in crypto. Though it needs capital to be able to acquire one single currency but there are also ways it gives to acquire them for free. Bounties, services paid in crypto and trading items with crypto and a lot more. You cannot find options as advantageous like these in the outside world unless one agree to rob a bank.  Grin
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people bought Bitcoin because of you? on: July 04, 2019, 09:47:21 AM
One good friend of mine bought bitcoin because i shared to him the success story of bitcoin in 2017 when bull run hit the market and he bought it for $18,000, now he’s still holding and hoping he will be able to regain his capital. I almost ate myself for what I did but i didn’t tell him to buy though.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How can a new exchange, assure investors that it is not a scammer? on: June 30, 2019, 09:15:27 PM
There are well known existing exchanges already, you can choose from those that do not have yet any bad records or less complains of users. It is indeed scary to trust those newly opened exchanges that do not have yet any credibility since there is a lot of new exchange platforms that are coming out today.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of the crypto currency on: June 30, 2019, 08:49:59 PM
Sincerely I don't know what the future holds for cryptocurrency but I am optimistic that the future will be bright and there will be more adoption of cryptocurrency in the world probably some years from now. I am positive as regards the future of cryptocurrency and I wish for a better future of crypto.
If I look at the tightening of governments on cryptocurrency by imposing tight regulations, taxations etc., I already suspect that these things will kill cryptocurrency in the future, but its too good to lose hope so I still hope crypto will survive and users will also fight and hold on.
