61  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportbet.one unethical and don't abide by responsible gambling on: May 08, 2024, 07:57:26 PM
The chat log is from september 2023, if you're still gambling irresponsibly you shouldn't stay like that, hoping that any casino will exclude you. With Web3.0 and dapps you will always find some casinos or gambling games allowing you to bet big stakes without any protection unfortunately. So you should take your addiction seriously and consult a psychiatrist in order to treat your addiction. Risk addiction is a dangerous condition.
This casino is half-decentralized, and the centralized part is licensed at a small autonomous island (Moheli) from a small third world country the Comoros.
I don't know the gambling laws of this jurisdiction, but it's very likely that it won't be easy at all to take any legal action there for a self-exclusion dispute as a foreigner IMO.

62  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake Casino Scam Locking 45k$ Balance on: May 07, 2024, 09:35:52 PM
Yes, even if the casino has really been able to provide some convincing evidences about such "potential fraudulent activities". It's rather biased to close and conclude the case without saying if this seizure of funds is legitimate and lawful according to them finally, and without a word about the very fishy, unprofessional and uncooperative attitude of the casino through all the course of the dispute. They took 2 months and a half to reveal what they are suspecting actually(and only once OP exposed a private message from them) and to send clues about it, only talking about endless KYC issues dishonestly before. At least, it's not respectful to the platform, neither the customers. An honest and professional casino would have been transparent since the very first day.

64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will this stack make me a USD millionaire? on: May 05, 2024, 06:50:38 PM
I don't feel like 2025 is the year for bitcoin and that you'd be able to hit that million by that year with just 7 bitcoins, I'd say that it will be around 2030 or higher before you can hit that number, maybe you also need to focus on other things too, there's the fact that you can have that USD if it's enough to try and get yourself to move to a country that has a really favorable exchange rate with USD like the tropical countries in Asia, South America or maybe even in some Caribbean countries, find other ways to make money not just your work to increase your bitcoin investment and you can easily reach millions in USD if you do that.
I agree with you it's very unlikely to happen, because Bitcoin and Ethereum are already very high and close to their ATH, especially BTC. So those assets are more likely to go down now than to go higher. There is no FOMO events scheduled in the coming months anymore, ETFs have been approved and halving has now passed. I see above one guy (OgNasty) telling "odds of it happening in 2025 are still probably better than not that it will happen" I would be curious to know how he came to that conclusion. Because it means that he thinks odds for this outcome to happen, are higher than 50%, that is to say less than 2.0 in decimal odds. That would be crazy if it was realistic.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football/Soccer Winning Strategy on: May 05, 2024, 06:19:23 PM
Have you tried to backtest your betting strategy on past matches by chance? How many times are you able to guess the winner of the game by applying this strategy on 100 matches for example?
I don't understand why you wait the 2nd half to place your bet BTW, since you are taking live odds, it's more profitable to bet earlier because the less time remains in the match, the lower are live odds for the team leading because it will win even if no other goal are scored, and the more the time passes, the less likely it is to have another goal. So if your strategy is just to bet on the first team to score, it is certainly more interesting to bet on it right after its first goal.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Becareful with telegram wallet! on: May 05, 2024, 10:07:28 AM
It's only someone who doesn't know much about cryptocurrency could go that extent to store their funds on telegram without even storing their asset in none custodian wallet. We should know how risky it's to entrust our heart earned money into telegram that usually or concurrent ban their user for any little slight mistake or when you post in a group and it's happens that they were reported then it leads to ban and restrictions without the owner having complete access to some groups and they will mistakingly go store their funds over there.
You shouldn't believe everything people say, especially when they are obviously shitposting like many people previously did in this thread.
Firstly, Telegram crypto wallet is not only available for premium users, contrary to what OP said. You can open and install it in your home menu through this channel https://t.me/wallet
Besides that there are 2 crypto wallets available on Telegram actually, and one of them TON Space is a real non-custodial one, you can fully access its mnemonic seed phrase and import it in any other wallet supporting TON coins, you can also recover its access through email.

Quote
Wallet and TON Space are two different wallets within the TON ecosystem. Wallet operates as a custodial service provider, whereas TON Space serves as a non-custodial wallet. Here are the main differences between them:

A custodial wallet is a service where the private keys (keys to access the wallet) are stored by the service. Examples of custodial wallets include centralized or private exchanges. This enables the service to offer unique features such as swaps, commission-free transfers, promotions, security settings, and more.

A non-custodial wallet grants users full control over their crypto assets, stored on their blockchain address. Only users have control over the private keys. Access to wallet and security control via Seed phrase are the main features of using non-custodial wallets. This provides users with bigger opportunities in ensuring the safety of their crypto assets, but also entails bigger responsibility.

With Wallet, you can easily purchase crypto by card, use the P2P Market and swap cryptos, such as TON, USDT and BTC.

TON Space gives you the opportunity to send and receive any Jettons and NFTs minted on TON, swap them and connect to decentralized applications (DApps).

68  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake Casino Scam Locking 45k$ Balance on: May 05, 2024, 02:48:59 AM
What I'm saying is Stake will not change that decision even if the player went to Gibraltar where stake have paper regulaTory to sue them.
Because even if the player prove 99% he have nothing to do with the game being rigged and stake have 1% still stake is thebpartybwith power and the one holding the funds
Since the game proven rigged Stake will not even care whatever the player did. Even if he is in the right side and stake in the wrong there nothing can be done and no legal decision will affect stake. Also they are so big that they don't care the reputation in a forum or even in askgambler.
Beside that maybe they don't even know the player exist as there hundreds of same accounts on  The same game . They bring banned. By the way it's only a little of people who come to bitcointalk a lot of others like 98% doesn't come to bitcointalk to open a a scam accusasion
.
I said for the player to move on because there nothing he can do. If he hire a lawyer ( he might get scammed again by those Gibraltar iffshore lawyers ) they can do nothing.

If Stake was a small casino and worrying about losing a few customers they might care. . . .

There is another risk of betting online beside the odds Wich is the casinos have all the power and they are the ones hold your funds and the risk of being refused payment must be put in consideration beside the odds when betting your funds.
Maybe try a decentralized betting site like SX then you might reduce that risk.
Why are you talking about Gibraltar? You are the first one mentioning this location here. I hope you don't say that because OP seems to live in a Latin American country and you think it would be too far away for him. In fact, this casino is obviously registered in Curaçao, "owned and operated" by a curaçaoan company incorporated there. Their ToS allege an “exclusive jurisdiction” of the courts of Curacao regarding disputes, in addition. You shouldn't mislead people, OP is maybe very close to this location contrary to most customers, if he's actually living in Central America. Distance is probably not such a big issue for him.

The old battle was with sim swapping, to gain access to peoples assets, and now that a good blockchain called Ton is using telegram as their main based wallet, they are giving more power to scammers to start going after people through their sims, I will never get into Ton unless they made their wallet available else where.

Or maybe if telegram start allowing users to registered a telegram account using email account and not sim cards, this is the most stupid thing to do.

Possible bad events

1. You wake up one day and your sim card is no more working.

2. You somehow lost your phone.

3.  Thieves working in network provider centers knowing about sim link with telegram accounts and the existence of TON network, a good way to hit the jackpot for them.

A real decentralized crypto project supposed to give users their revoveery seed without it having any relationship with users sim card, but since its running on telegram its a big turn off for me.
You can use Telegram on PC or tablets and they have not SIM cards inside, so even if you lose your phone or if your sim card doesn't work anymore you can still use Telegram if you haven't disconnected your account on the other devices, and you can easily change your phone number even if you no longer have access to the old one. https://bugs.telegram.org/c/58
Against sim swapping, a two-step verification option is available, if you use it, the rubber of your smartphone or of your phone number will need to know your password to access your TG account. In addition you can set up a passcode on your wallet on top of it.
And of course, TON coins are available on non-custodial wallets, including the most common and the best known ones such as Trust Wallet, Ledger, SafePal, Tangem,...

70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do casinos require users to verify their identity through a KYC policy? on: May 04, 2024, 08:58:41 PM
They usually claim their gambling licenses require to KYC their customers, they also invoke AML laws and regulations, those accepting fiat currencies can also pretend to be forced by their banking partner like some exchanges say. But in reality it's mostly to be able to detect and prevent multi-account abusers who cheat bonuses, promotions of tournaments and also to be able to ban more efficiently good bettors who are able to earn money from them in the long run instead of giving money to them.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think US Paypal Users would be interested in buying cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2024, 07:59:44 PM
PayPal started accepting crypto currency 2022 in their payment platform in when they first announced it, but one problem it had at that time was their high fee rate when you wanted to withdraw to an external wallet.

In August last year, they also launched their own stable coin, "PYUSD," which was discussed here in the forum . PYUSD, a.k.a. Paypal USD .

Among other payment platforms that operate in the US, I think PayPal is among those that have been working hand in hand with regulatory bodies, so I assume it will be very easy for them to partner with other payment platforms and offer crypto currency services to US citizens without them being sanctioned.
It seems their app in US was able to receive, to store and to send Bitcoins (and few other cryptocurrencies) but users couldn't buy or sell Bitcoins against fiat currencies or against other cryptocurrencies. Now it will be possible to do that according to the announcements. It's a great news if american users are really able to buy Bitcoins on Paypal and to use them and not to just buy and sell them on the same service as CFD, like some banking apps are offering. But I hope Paypal will extend this service to other countries soon.
It's sad they still don't accept Dogecoins though while Elon Musk is one of the founders of Paypal.
Quote
https://www.economiematin.fr/cryptomonnaies-fisc-controles-fraude-declaration
75  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A doubt about onchain transactions on: May 04, 2024, 06:36:10 PM
I don't understand what your case has to do with a legal issue and why you posted it in this section. You should post it in the Beginners & Help board instead. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0
Anyway you should check if one of the output addresses belongs to you (the 9th is just a change one according to blockchair) and if you own the private key or the seed belonging to this address. If yes just try to import the private key or the seed into another fresh wallet.

76  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake Casino Scam Locking 45k$ Balance on: May 04, 2024, 06:06:41 PM
I understand what you are trying to say . but Imagine if Stake Paid him his deposit Back .  Like Ok Man you tried to Scam Us and Book on a Rigged Market We catched you so here your deposit back and will Void the bet . (It will be like a slap in the wrist )  and encourage all other  shady bettors to try to do the same risk free if they caught they lose nothing if they not caught they cashout.
you should understand from the point of view of a huge business and bookie like Stake .

based from the news i read  it was some American Bookie who raised red flags about that Betting line and there was a huge flow of money from a lthousands  of accounts(since there bet limits)  so who knows if the OP was one of those accounts?

Iwould say for the OP you are lucky you are not in the US right now and you didnt Use a US Bookie . they dont play games in there  you would end up being investigated by the FBI
add to it the Shohei Ohtani and his his translator Scandal last month they are serious about investigating such things.
It's not what you said above, you said that even if he bet on a rigged game by pure chance, he should accept the decision and move on, because the case is already over according to you, while it would have nothing to do with trying to scam anyone. Now you claim he's a cheater so he deserves to lose his deposit and to be arrested by the FBI, it's not the same thing at all. If he didn't cheat it's none of his business how the casino manages cheaters and tries to afraid them, and he shouldn't lose $45k because of some casino business politics.

I wonder if this script can send a withdrawal request or change the withdrawal address though. Since it has an access to the client side, it can do whatever it wants. (From your side)

Yes, it can do both. An unauthorised withdrawal was initiated on my account. And it was able to bypass my profile address.

Shiet. Now we all can panic.

TheQuin where the hell are you man your establishment has caught FIRE!
Absolutely!

If you have 2FA enabled you won't get a payment request confirmation email from freebitco.in

What you will get is a payment sent confirmation email.

The attackers targeted the bigger fish. This time...
If the attackers are able to bypass the 2FA security and to initiate withdrawals whenever they want why you are the only user reporting it till now? They would have no reason to wait before withdrawing as much funds as they can, so I think many people would already be here complaining about random withdrawals happening spontaneously. That's why your claim is a little bit surprising. Are you sure no one living with you, has been able to steal your funds? If yes, are you sure your 2FA device is safe and hasn't been compromised too?
78  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 03, 2024, 09:50:10 PM
I did not know exchanges that allow to set up 3 confirmations together for account security and withdrawals, what I know is you can choose confirmation code through: emails and 2FA.

2FA itself can be a code from an authentication application or SMS code/ Telegram.

Did I miss something like three layers of protections, not 2 layers?
Well it's a little bit off-topic, since the platform currently doesn't offer 2 or 3 authentication factors (on top of the login password) for withdrawals but only one : a confirmation link through email or a 2FA code as mentioned above. What we call 2FA here, is the Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP) method actually. That is to say the method requiring an additional device/software to generate timestamped codes. It has nothing to do with a code sent by SMS or Telegram, because those codes are not time-based, they are just static or one-time codes. Those codes allow to check if the user is the actual owner of the phone number or the Telegram account while TOTP ensures the user owns an initial shared secret key(into a software).
79  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake Casino Scam Locking 45k$ Balance on: May 03, 2024, 08:42:36 PM
This case is already over. .
What a chance for the OP to bet on a rigged game
Also American Bookies (including Stake US) made decisions similar to this one.
Also the OP used to play casino games most of the time untill one day he decided to bet all his money on a rigged game . Even if it was pure chance this will not help your case Wich already over.
I don't think Stake will ever change it's decision. And for the OP better to Move on.
How he could move on, if he didn't make anything wrong? You are about to give him $45k to help him to move on? I don't think so. If he didn't cheat he has no reason to move on, and he should refer his case to the license regulator as he said or to a court. The casino representative said to Askgamblers they will send elements supporting their stance, but they "require additional time" for that despite the 3 months that have already passed. I guess neither OP nor anyone else will know what elements will be communicated to AG at the end.
