601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: January 06, 2024, 11:49:46 PM
Lying will alter your relationship mostly, being a man with faults with hobbies even if not always positive I dont see as bad; this is normal everyday occurrence and should not be the biggest thing.  The easiest way to dissolve a relationship is to lie as it puts distance between the people and they are lost in their common ground even if you disagree with someone you should at least know the nature and basis of differences between yourselves.    Plenty men get drunk on a regular basis whether their partner likes that or not, its part of what they look forward to when working etc.   Thats a disagreement and I place alcohol as a greater threat in terms of vices then gambling for most people, either way the most destructive thing of either disagreement or difference would to be not open on your differences because then you dont know where you are.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich, you have to become immune to the money.......! on: January 06, 2024, 11:37:29 PM
Simple take on that is money is not the destination its journey or means to acquire the things you want, really its only the language of trade.  Money itself especially loses value, there are far more valuable things to possess then just plain money.  Our whole FIAT system is based off debt more then value in the money especially so it seems the books written on tax efficient debt are probably closest to the truth of how to get rich and stay rich;  essentially you align yourself with the largest player in the game which is the central government and the Federal reserve when you do that it only needs small margins on the large amounts available to be essentially rich.
603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Kickstart January in style on: January 06, 2024, 10:04:39 PM
Most simple take so far is we declined back to the 50 day average before recovering most of that price movement later.

On Jan 5th the Dollar index fell back about 1% before retaking alot of that selling to end the day even, if dollar can sell then BTC can quite easily still gain more while that is occurring.   The biggest signal for me besides the ETF news or other big mainstream news events would be the DXY moving below 100 and staying there which is likely to be part of its resumption weaker and a trend lower.  If BTC is to really gain from here Im waiting for DXY to lose 100 so that the source of much liquidity can flow to BTC or similar risk on assets in the marketplace.
We gained 4k from the start of the year and in that sell off sold 5k but have moved back to a positive gain so far this year.   Thats a good take for how it will proceed imo we see gains but dont forget sometimes it will sell off, if its all so defined in selling as we just saw and brief that will leave us still positive to continue ie. its a buying opportunity.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can two clubs owned by one person participate in the Champions League? on: January 06, 2024, 02:42:43 PM
44% seems a very large amount to own, its not in theory 'the owner' but I could understand them excluding a club on that basis of a conflict of interest.   However I imagine the clubs will go ahead unimpeded because any adjustment required in ownership % could be done on request, it would only need a sale to a friendly partner of that large holder.  Because of that I would guess it wont be used as a reason to exclude the clubs from playing against each other without actual evidence of a genuine concern as to conflict of interest etc.
605  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 05, 2024, 11:59:53 PM
Weekly doji candle in stark prospect for this week is pause for caution I think.    We have the prospect of the BTC price breaking out but its still sticking to the ceiling like a fly, upside down defying gravity  ready to fly or drop.   I presume upwards but it seems too much of the market is tied to the ETF which makes me personally apprehensive.
I keep reading people saying the BTC ETF is coming and it has to be positive but that is opposite of what trades can occur.   If we speculate, bid and buy into BTC on this presumption of positive news then you already have your move before the event arrived.   We can and do often over speculate, over anticipate and quite ironic but often true the arrival of whatever good news can mean people swing to sell into the news hence we can certainly go down despite good news.   Also its obvious to say if ETF is denied or most likely of all just delayed ad infinitum as on prior considerations legally that would equate to negative action for this month or more.
My main objection is I dont care about the ETF!  this protocol isnt an ETF, its outside finance and its not truly the most bullish thing for BTC its more about dollars and other markets, secondary reactions by main markets to BTC is whatever; the long term truth of a bull case for  BTC is about its actual usage, trade exchange hold by more new people thats all that matters.
606  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 05, 2024, 11:47:38 PM
The whole world has a bias to western trade and banking via the global reserve currency system.  I agree there is definitely some unfairness and bias in that system but its not especially something I'd place on UK.  Uk is about 8% of global reverse banking from what I've read, there was an empire generations ago and now only a very light voluntary 'commonwealth of nations' which is mostly separated so I don't see the enforcement or rule had by a foreign power especially.
Its clear Dollar favors those countries closest to its own trade, so the largest trade partners and the banks which are multi national and able to buy US treasury debt as primary dealers then favor their home markets they are receiving a great help from that home advantage.  No Nigerian bank is given primary dealer role on US treasuries that I know of so that part is unfair I agree that much.  Nigeria is part of OPEC, they do have some self control over how and who they sell their oil reserves to as part of that trading cartel.     Other situations like EU is a trading cartel that in effect works against non members, I'd agree to lots of arguments like that but I dont think they are controlling Nigeria remotely; not that I ever read of anyhow.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 05, 2024, 11:33:53 PM
Why should they get to judge about gambling, people do judge everything of course and if in work or somewhere restricted perhaps you should do not do personal activity like gambling.  However I would not worry at all, you could be gambling away your life savings or a bet placing the price of sandwiches for lunch its your choice.  Most of the time I would only laugh about anyone assuming they know my business at all.   Dont give them any ammunition, even if it was the biggest bet of your life stay humble and act like its nothing.   When you buy a desert island with your winnings you wont have to boast about it, presuming you did win that big of course Cheesy
608  Economy / Speculation / Re: WSB Style Best Bitcoin Related Stock Picks for 2024 on: January 05, 2024, 08:25:44 PM
Wall street bets is an awful precedent, they are basically trading off memes.  They had some success with outmatching the over shorted weak stocks by buying them regardless, it was impressive to see that dynamic but it doesnt make the underlying business a successful one unfortunately.   Overall as I understand it the losses of the average investor just trading memes and whatever stock is popular at that moment is not good.  Challenging shorts can work for sure , they can spike back up in any case even without a widespread effort to make that occur its a natural risk for short sellers.

Simplywall is useful site, they cannot give you investment advise its just stats and data useful to have.

I was right and I was wrong and it dont matter because it took till yesterday for the price to get its break out either way.     Its amounted to a blip and BTC already doing better, I would argue we are now more bullish because price was tested to the downside.
The details of why we sold off yesterday probably dont matter as much as it was fairly brief and contained, the recovery is impressive so far.   So in conclusion I think we have to remain bullish in the price outcome for Jan now, keep watching but this is a big green tick for future positivity so far in 2024.     Its already hard to hit the bullseye on the monthly bet but also the odds are reguarly quite decent to bet on breakouts, I like the game idea.
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm before the storm on: January 04, 2024, 11:27:01 PM
Such exciting action this week I missed all the drama yesterday still recovering I guess.    What we can say is not absolute price objectives or targets but we can already see the volatility is definitely picking as we progress.
So my immediate take in this day after BTC graph is we remain bullish and a test passed is always good in general across life including something as diverse and varied as BTC around the world.   Imo we need the world to rotate and every market to agree every price move, it cant just be that BTC moves in a couple hours while the half of the world is asleep or really not trading in full strength.
We hit the 50 day average and recovered, we were more regularly touching the monthly average there since end of year basically and now BTC price action has done well enough that we are back above the weekly average.   Because we drifted for so long all the averages became more compressed, so out of nowhere came a storm literally it could be linked to Japan earthquake possibly but the famous phrase is not incorrect.
611  Economy / Economics / Re: These are the top 100 brands by value in 2023 on: January 04, 2024, 11:11:37 PM
Seems like it should feature more brands then just western names, theres a couple in there but I cant help but think I should expect the time when the entire top ten is (for me) foreign words and/or brands I dont use directly.   India is about to overtake China in numbers of people, its the worlds largest democracy and so will have growth in a different way possibly in a larger way then China.   India currently does lots of work for others with their best workers going to Microsoft etc., I just wonder what occurs if India works for India and their best workers represent Indian companies.  I've owned stock of a few Indian companies but not that many truly massive ones, they are around and its easy to be a large company when you are part of such a large nation I just hope they invent lots of useful efficient things because that helps everyone in the global economy eventually, at present it is too western orientated for historical reasons imo,
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 04, 2024, 12:08:45 AM
Elections years would correlate to bullish movements because the chances of a hard monetary policy is less likely in a year the population is asked on their hard opinions of political outcomes such as management of the economy.   Its well known that a recession equates to a loss of power for whoever is in office at that moment, generally a sitting president can rely on reelection if they have kept their head above water in terms of people losing their jobs etc.  The inflation situation was the biggest threat, it appears to have receded but the reasons for its occurrence have not and I expect further trouble ahead.
Myself personally I think we are a little too optimistic in combination with the ETF news.   People are saying well it has to be bullish but this isnt how markets work, buy the rumor sell the news is the dynamic and all that can happen in that ETF news is it arrives and you have in effect a sell event at least short term.   Halvening might be 3rd event behind all these other factors.
613  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 03, 2024, 07:12:15 PM
Tab Betting but the bets of crypto prices are not available yet.

I think we'll reach 50K$ by March.

Could do both, sharp rise & BTC bonks its head on some ceiling and falls down to say 40k.    I try not to forget BTC can be very volatile, sometimes it drifts but its true nature is erratic action.   My larger reference for that would be the Dollar itself, a quick check once again we hit the 100 mark on DXY and its risen from that point strongly.  2% rise in a few days when we're talking trillions is like a wheelie performed by an oil tanker so thats a door slam for BTC getting an easy path upwards for the moment at least.
I'd rather bet on downwards objectives (Jan end) ideally unexpected with good odds for that outcome.  I'm generally bullish in a developing kind of way though, just my view is the long and winding cliff top road.
614  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for January on: January 02, 2024, 04:59:48 PM
I thought 40k area would be the ceiling, it was barely a speedbump.  The pullback to that area was bullish I guess though I think all of this action is quite brief not high volume which is to say i think we can revisit and establish more volume in this area in future.
For now BTC target is 49.3k which is alot of the weekly top prices for 2021, thats a nice area to revisit we are back to full health surely.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 01, 2024, 11:58:40 PM
Good start to the year, gaining 4% in the very first day and most importantly threatening to break the recent holding pattern to the upside.  Would be nice to see a whole first quarter year be full of gains before halvening I just never imagine such a simple nice outcome occurring unimpeded.
Im hoping 2025 is even bigger then 2024 but I dont mind we move from this monent on not requiring any further time.  Alot of this positive push might be linked to the ETF not sure, so I can only really be sure of the underlying more important move after we get past ETF whether its passed or not the event confirming will put us into the next stage.
616  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: January 01, 2024, 05:49:41 PM
Patents run out even if you invent something amazing the process to keep making new products is continual.  Basically you need to own a business with an ongoing interest, the most obvious would be to be a chemist a retailer and land owner in your local community.  That business could be passed onto the next generation hence be a long term wealth in your family but you need to qualify to be a chemist to do that so you rely on the children or next generation being capable of doing so.    Or you could just choose the right stock to own and it performs well, long term some have done well.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 05:29:13 PM
VPN protects against some of those things, Im surprised it was possible to connect to gamble via a shared IP.  Normally they restrict all kinds of sites that would be considered 18+ like a gambling site is included in that broad category.   As said its not too safe to use a public computer or a publicly shared connection, for alot of things its ok but if you gamble with a large balance its something I would avoid also just in case.   Keyloggers are sometimes installed on public computers and that kind of thing is something that has to be considered, dont use any big balance account is probably for the best as a precaution.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Ithiopia bankrupted? on: January 01, 2024, 05:16:46 PM
Greece had the same problem but was able to negotiate with its debt holders to come to some agreement where payments would continue to be made.  An ongoing agreement can be superior and in the interests of the creditors over calling a straight bankruptcy.  Its quite hard to take the assets backing the debt and not the preference of most bond traders, thats why the price goes so negative and often does not reflect value properly.  I imagine the country will attempt to navigate repayment before it admits any default as it is very damaging for years after to finance business interests in the country.
619  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Bear Market over? on: January 01, 2024, 04:57:36 PM
Supposedly the bear market is when we decline 20% or more but since BTC is more volatile then that, you have to include wider ranges of error in estimation.  I think obviously we did out run the bear market, the inverse question is the bull market and how long this can last when do we know its over.   Unfortunately its more obvious in retrospect then prospective price action.
The best clue is a set of rising lows over a month or more then shows hidden strength or the mirror of that at the top should be a warning sign.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 31, 2023, 11:51:39 PM
Safer betting would be something considered over time, live betting has to be taken as more risky because you must decide in a moment far more.  Some people just enjoy the live action far more then anything slower and more drawn out, I think the bet you can place on a game especially sports betting is the best value betting there is.     I would recommend just sticking to what is your account beforehand from what you decided you would spend for that week for example, same time you pay the bills you have something left to put on the betting account.  If dividing everything up equally in that way then the decision is yours either way just stick to that budget dont alter for factors on the day of playing you will be ok.
