Belgium and France have scored plenty of goals in the group and knockout stages so far. They also have some of the most prolific attacking formations in the tournament. Logically there should be goals in today's semi-final but I am gonna bet the opposite. I think both teams will try to play it slow and be careful on the defence. I have HT 0-0 and under 2.5 goals. I will bet on a penalty in the match as well. Cheers  Cheesy

Sports apparel stores in Turin have started selling Cr7 shirts already lol. Looks like Real Madrid won't be able to hold onto the star for another season. Juventus are ready to offer Ronaldo a lot of bonuses if he signs with them. By the way I am not sure if Ronaldo would like to play under Mourinho at United. I think there was some talk about him returning to the club at a later stage but that was when Sir Alex Ferguson was still the manager.

Croatia played very well vs Argentina and after that they just faded away. I am not impressed with their performance in the knockout stage so far. I think England have the better squad in terms of attack and defense. Croatia have better midfielders but still they are lacking good attackers in my honest opinion. It's 50-50 chance though. I still prefer England. I agree that if England underestimate Croatia that will be their downfall.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia - the Journey on: July 09, 2018, 05:41:06 AM
"It's coming home"  Grin Haha jokes aside England really had it easy till now and their fans must be very surprised that the team has advanced far given the recent failures. And I think England have probably 90% chance of getting to the final because Croatia should be very exhausted after their last 2 matches. Maybe this is England's World Cup I don't know any more. Everything has been so crazy. My guess would be France - England at the final even though I would love to see Belgium there. Let's see what will happen.

I just read some interesting news about the hottest topic of Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer and wanted to share it here:
Quote
Cristiano Ronaldo rejected a 200m euro offer from the Chinese Super League
  http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2018/07/08/5b411e2d268e3e6b538b4651.html

This sentence is important:
Quote
This offer came in December 2017 before Real Madrid came to an agreement with Jorge Mendes on the terms of Ronaldo's exit; a 100 million euro release fee.

So what this basically means is that Real Madrid agreed to sell Ronaldo for 100m should he want out of the club. I think Real Madrid might have shot themselves in the foot with that contract clause lol.

Shame Russia were rubbish in the penalties, I was rooting for them to win.

Yeah they were flawless in the penalty shootout vs Spain and I was surprised they failed vs Croatia. I thought the Russians have been practising penalty shots specifically for the knockout stage. Maybe the stress was just too much for them to handle. Anyways Russia overachieved and went farther than anyone had expected. Respect Wink

I just saw that Buffon is officially going to PSG. Why? They already have Areola, don't they? PSG is already OP, and now they want the best goal keeper? Talk throwing money away. It'd be really sad, if PSG win no titles even with the best players.

About ronaldo's issue, he felt like so bad that his Real devalued him from 1 Billion to a 100 Million. He even said that, 'Real doesn't love me anymore". I had a good laugh on that, and why are Juventus fans celebrating about Ronaldo's possibilities of joining Juventus?

PSG are going to sell a bunch of Buffon jerseys and other accessories which will make them a lot of cash. Buffon is old and I wouldn't regard him as the best goal keeper at the moment. I think PSG signed Buffon as a marketing move to attract more fans of the Italian. That's all.
Juventus are doing the same with Ronaldo. He will be their cash cow.

I don't know what's up with Croatia but after that flashy thrashing of Argentina they are playing with great difficulties vs mediocre teams and now they have played 240 minutes plus penalties in the knockout stage. I think the Croatians will be tired for the semi-final. England have the perfect chance to play at the final after such a long absence.
609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the relation of Bitcoin with Blockchain? on: July 07, 2018, 04:20:44 PM
Obviously the OP is not a native English speaker and looks like we are lost in translation a little bit so I will try to explain this in the simplest way possible haha. Bitcoin is the cash and the Blockchain is the cash register. When you want to send cash to someone the cash register tells you how much you are sending, how much you are left with and records the transaction. Hope that helps  Grin

I think Russia have exhausted all their luck after the defeat of Spain so today everything should go according to plan and Croatia ought to be the one going through lol  Grin By the way I think Croatia have better chances to advance to the next round than England  Cheesy Sweden are not to be underestimated. Croatia - England are the most likely pair for the semi-final however.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more valuable when the altcoin bubble bursts on: July 07, 2018, 10:29:10 AM
Altcoins won't disappear until trading Bitcoin yields higher profit margins than trading altcoins. Pump and dump schemes are synonymous with altcoin trading. It's easier to earn more trading volatile altcoins than stale Bitcoin. I think the altcoin bubble isn't going to burst any time soon.
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin May Soon Be Worth Nothing on: July 07, 2018, 07:18:55 AM
Why bitcoin may soon be worth nothing:

I thought we’d finally get rid of bitcoin. But the fake “currency,” which I like to call bitcon, just won’t fade away.

Bitcoin’s price rallied to over $6,600 yesterday, but it had been well under $6,000 last week. Even at $6,600, bitcoin is still worth 70 percent less than it was at the beginning of the year.

I use the term “worth” cautiously because bitcoin is really worth nothing, since it’s backed by nothing or no one. It’s a confidence game that has value only because people are convincing other people that it’s worth something.

that is all?

you did not use convincing arguments and you do not show some basis for this very serious charge, you are making a very serious charge and you do not show convincing evidence. No one will take you seriously and about bitcoin is not worth anything, you are wrong, In the future bitcoin will be worth much more, there are many countries and people that will use bitcoin.

Ponzi scheme. Fraud.

Proof?

I think you didn't quite understand the OP. These are the exact words of John Crudele, a NY Post columnist. OP only quoted the text from the NY Post article. The journalist obviously holds a grudge against Bitcoin and this 'article' is nothing more than a personal attack. Objective journalism has turned into subjective one  Grin
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 07, 2018, 06:39:55 AM
Neymar biggest disappointment of this world cup.
What about Messi? C.Ronaldo? I think people expected a lot from those two than Neymar who barely made it to WC after the injury. But it's true though, overall Neymar had a poor performance (Coutinho was Brazil's best player), I think people will remember his dives and all the memes rather than his performances.

I think the biggest disappointment of this world cup is the German national team. The former defending champions were eliminated in the group stage placing last in their group. Heck even the team of South Korea were above them lol. This is a devastating blow to the country's rich football heritage.
As for Neymar, I will remember him for his spaghetti haircut first and foremost and then for his dives. God that haircut was fucking awful.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia - the Journey on: July 07, 2018, 06:31:44 AM
So today we have the last 2 quarter-finals Russia - Croatia and Sweden - England. The host country Russia advanced after beating Spain on penalties. The Russians parked the bus the whole match and played defensive anti-football. I think they will employ the same strategy against Croatia today. Everything thrown in defense and hope for the best with lucky counter attacks. Croatia are by far the stronger side. Obviously with such defensive play this is likely going to be a game with few goals. I will try HT 0-0 and under 2.5 goals.
Sweden are a robust team with strong defensive game as well. I think the English forwards will struggle today. I like HT 0-0 and under 2.5 goals in this match.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 06, 2018, 08:09:30 PM
Huge match for Belgium! Tactically sound and super dangerous on the counter attack. Looks like next semi-final will be between France and Belgium. I think whoever wins this match will go on to lift the cup as well. The teams who play tomorrow are simply inferior. Belgium or France deserve to win the tourney hands down.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 06, 2018, 04:13:03 PM
Edinson Cavani who already scored 3 goals in this tournament will miss match against France due to injury. It's likely that he will be replaced by Stuani in starting XI. But I hope that they can beat France. Uruaguay is one of my favourite teams since World Cup 2010.

Cavani is one of the most important players of Uruguay, there is no doubt that his team will be significantly weakened in today game. France have some very good players, but one is showed true art of football in game against Argentina - Mbappe. I would like to see how he will play today, can he repeat his last game?

In my opinion this should be a fairly equal match, but I still give France a small advantage just because there is no Cavani.

And as expected Uruguay weren't able to do anything in the absence of Edinson Cavani. This has probably been the easiest money to be made in the knockout stage so far - 2.0 odds at fairly low risk. I hope you guys jumped on that nice offer on time  Grin
Now if Belgium somehow throw Brazil out of the competition we are going to get an entirely European final which would be pretty awesome haha  Grin Belgium you can do it!
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo's next club betting on: July 06, 2018, 04:04:51 PM
Why are the odds of joining Juventus so high - x2.0? I think Ronaldo has already agreed to join Juventus right? He hasn't signed yet but has given his word. Real are going to sell him and not stop the deal aren't they? Does anyone know what the transfer sum is and if there will be other players involved?

'Most likely' but that's not a sure thing.  We haven't even seen PSG's bid yet.  Smiley  Let's wait til they sell Mbappe or Neymar (maybe both).

And the thing to watch here is Real's interest in acquiring Mbappe.  So maybe PSG would be interested in the deal only if there's a cherry on top (Ronaldo).  Grin

Do you think Ronaldo would want to play in France? I find it strange that Ronaldo is particularly interested in Juventus when there are other clubs with more money that could possibly offer him a higher salary. We know Ronaldo likes money a lot haha  Grin I thought he wanted to go back to the Premier League for his final couple of seasons before retiring.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2018 Russia - the Journey on: July 06, 2018, 01:47:47 PM
Important news!!! Edinson Cavani is not in the starting lineup. He is replaced by Christian Stuani whom I haven't heard of. I think France FT @ 2.0 odds is a bargain in my honest opinion. I am gonna load up on France some more. Unless Uruguay park the bus the whole match, the French should be able to snatch the win before extra time.

By the way there is a chance that Edinson Cavani will not play against France today. He was substituted last game because of injury. I don't know how serious his injury is or he has recovered already and will be available for today's match. If he doesn't play that will be a big hit for Uruguay as he has been their most prolific scorer so far. Luis Suarez should step up big time if Cavani is out.
