I’m absolutely convinced that NaPoleonX is a great project. But, I wonder if the bots have errors leading to losses, who will be responsible for the profits of investors?  Im pretty sure they will test the bot first before they launch it. dev will prepare it with perfect before launch, and if there is error, it must be human error not from the bots, so the user must understand what they do to avoid errors I agree, even the most reliable equipment in the hands of an inept person can lead to disaster. if there's a monitoring system in place the damage should be minimal. but it's worth remembering that you take a risk when using these bots. Probably they will implement that. Still, it will be a learning process for who use the bots. At the start, using bots should be lower funds than the decided invest amount. I won't do an all-in in the first moment. I think that users should spend a little of profit to buy insurance, If there's a problem, the company's insurance pays for it.  They will have insurance? Which ones? They will have some arragements with some insurance projects / companies? Not really, as of yet, but it could be a good idea for the future. There are various instruments for decreasing loss for investment instruments on fiat market, why shouldn't there be something similar for crypto? I wish we could buy some insurance against bots negative performance but I am pretty convinced it won't happen. The best insurance is diversification through uncorrelated strategies. |

In The black paper I see also there is a algorithm to predict long term futures on Forex's Like Sp500 and HSI.
Will the algorithm also be used for forex?
First time I ever quoted myself. However my question got lost in all the post in this topic, still hoping somebody can give me an answer  You are right that we could develop bots to trade Forex as opposed to Equity indices. However return in this space are usually more limited because volatility is lower than in equities and you need to more than compensate on leverage. To be opened, we have developed a bot on EUR / USD exchange rate with a Sharpe of more than 1.25x, however, we are still doing some research on the execution side as the forex market is a 24/24 market. As we have said all along, we are presenting only a fraction of what we have in store in our Blackpaper. In due time, we will propose these additional bots once we have launched the first 10 DAFs. |

I am still not 100% sure what I can do with the demo. For now it's just to look things up, like the performance of the bot and audits, right? You can't vote on bots or did I miss it? Yeah, that is right. The demo just shows the theoretical profits and losses the algorithms developed by NaPoleonCrypto would have gotten if they ran it in the last 23 years. That is why the beta site has the subtitle "Index Publisher". It is not a beta of the investing platform. Its an interesting presentation but we all know its just theoretical. Unfortunately theory doesnt always work in trading so we will have to wait for an actual results of their bots after the full version. You are touching one of the more fundamental point in our value proposal: execution risk. We have opted for low frequency trading, and in the Blackpaper all our strategies have weekly / monthly signals ie very few trades per year. In this case, the execution risk is very limited. It would have been completely different should have we launched High Frequency strategies where execution would be a key component of the P&L. When you have a trade that has a 3-5% monthly return with a 2x max trade, and that for each trade, you are executiing at market close where liquidity is in the several hundred of million, your execution cost is in the 0-10bps (0.1%) bracket ie negligeable vs your return expectation. |

i believe that they will make changes to the platform by taking our answers into account it is still a beta and is just showing off, ok, we have here something working, not final, but working You are right. The point of having a beta version is to get feedback from the users. Also, you have to understand that the platform we need to launch will have much more features, including the voting system, that what you can see today. The reason we are raising money is to have enough manpower to tackle all the issues. In our project, we need R&D to develop performing trading bots, which we have, we need the index publisher to check the Proof of Performance mark, we need the voting system to give governance to our NPX token holders. We will want to also have additional features such as an education section, a reporting section ... This cannot be done overnight with our current team, at least not quickly enough to please us and our future investors. |

I understand that the trend is your friend. How does a mean reversion engine help with volatility ?
For the 2. volatility helps as what you are trying to capture is noise around an attraction point. If prices are sticky, when they move they do not come back. When prices are volatile, they usually revisit intial levels and hence you are able to make a profit. However, it would be noted that on the long term prices tend to follow trend following models whereas on a much shorter scale, they tend to mean revert. |

I just checked their website but cant find an enddate. However if they reach the hardcap of 100.000 Ethereums the ICO is finished. Is it possible that an ICO (of Napoleonx in this case) has no end date? Usually an ICO lasts one month. it can't not have an end-date. ICO = INITIAL coin offering  The end date will be 4th January 2018. All other dates have just been communicated earlier in the Thread. Why do u need to set up the a bot? As I know napoleonx controls the algorithm, and you just buy the tokens. To my understanding you don't actually run a bot yourself You dont have to setup the bots. The bots will be ready and the community will give the chose to what bot should be used. Then you give tokens to the bot and let him do the work . Very easy for everyone. No video for that You are right for US citizens. We will not propose our NapoleonX project ICO to US citizens. What sort of assets do the trading bots operate on and do they achieve consistent results?
Most of the assets traded are real assets. We use Futures as they are easy to trade and cheap from an operational cost point of view. They also enable the use of (controlled) leverage to optimize returns. At last they don't require the full usage of funds to get the appropriate exposure, hence a big part of DAF assets will remain in crypto to limit exchange rate risk. so do we going to get paid dividend in ETH or NPX tokens?
I'm not sure, but I've wondered this myself and havent been able to find the info. Anyone know? As far as I understand no dividends are paid. Indeed, there are no dividents in this project. There is a commision but no dividents. Why is the time going so slow... I'm ready to join this crowdsale :p I need to read the whitepaper again, what do you mean no dividends but commissions? Isn't the whole point of bots having dividends from the profits? There will be regular payout from DAF to NPX token holders depending on the performance generated by the DAFs. However, these payout will be made in the form of free DAF token attribution. NPX token holders will then have the choice to either accumulate these tokens or sell them in the secondary market to raise ETH. As payout will come from different and independent DAF, NPX token holders will be able to tailor made their stream of revenue and portfolio construction. This will not require additional investment, only the participation in the voting cession. On top of that, they could also decide to participate directly in DAF with a privileged access. But it is not necessary to claim the payout described above. |

Are the payouts for the token holders on a weekly, or monthly basis? Or is it quarterly? Also, will token holders recive payouts of Ethereum, or NapoleonX tokens, from the percentage of gas transactions?
Payout will be made on a monthly basis and in DAF tokens only. Then NPX token holders will have the possibility to sell automatically these tokens to constitute their own and tailor made revenue stream. Only performance fees will be paid and no management fees. No gain for DAFs investors, no gain for NPX token holders. That is why making the right decisions during the voting cession will be important. Hopefully, Napoleon Crypto will provide pertinent advices. Here again, no good advices, no remuneration for Napoleon Crypto. All interests of stakeholders are thus aligned. |

All my attempts to trade were unsuccessful. Until now, I have a large colony of coins, which only fall. I'm waiting for automatic trading from Napoleon
I know that feel. I also have a pile of tokens now. They go up and down and I just watch them doing so but, I cannot decide when to sell or buy. Look at support and resistance levels, pre determine when you want to take out a bit of original investment. dont let emotionals control your decisions. People think panic sell is the worst, but HODling without reason it worse  or wait for napoleonx!! The problem is the number of different tokens I have. I can not keep up with each and every token so, I need something like NaPoleonX to handle this sort of stuff for me. Will their bots be able to trade different tokens at the same time, or they will be programed for specific coin? If its the first one, than it will be doing a job of accountant and a broker at the same time Our bots are necessarily designed to trade tokens. Most of our existing algos run on real assets where liquidity will enable the DAFs to trade large size and hence boost returns for NPX token holders. Each bot have been design to trade a unique underlying for clarity and lisibility. |
