601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we earn bitcoin by Torrent seeding ? on: November 01, 2015, 07:01:38 AM
There are or at least was a few altcoins that had the goal of integrating torrents into their protocol. It would have been like an alternate internet where everything can be downloaded peer to peer and maybe some content creators could sell files (such a movies or short videos) for the altcoin. It would be very efficient to pay very small amounts to watch a video because of the low fees.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The lack of newbie friendly tutorials on: November 01, 2015, 06:44:18 AM
I haven't found a tutorial for turning my AUD into Bitcoin. I really needed to a few months ago but I couldn't. So I am forced to use a paid signature.

For some reason the -rescan command doesn't do anything so I am unable to check the balance of these addresses:

FhKKwkwbq3m5VGCDsQjdZmhK1TmxBHHEaT

I'm pretty sure we have none... Sad
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website to verify bitcoin signatures anno 2015? on: October 31, 2015, 10:15:23 PM
http://coinig.com/

I still personally prefer to use a wallet software over a website. You will need to trust the website owner enough to not change the code so that a message with an invalid signature does not display as being valid.
Oh awesome, I needed this last week. Thanks, now I never need to start the QT again. Smiley

I was going to check with the remaining wallets but the blockchain is taking forever to sync.
It is a bit vicious circle problem. The blockchain is slow because there are few users active and there are only few users because the blockchain is slow.
In my case it took me three full days to sync starting from scratch.
What I can do to speed up this process is the following:  I can upload an image of my blockchain and that would reduce the waiting time considerably.
You would be able to download it and substitute your copy of blockchain and then just download the few remaining blocks to be fully sync.
If you could do that I'd be very grateful.

Aww come on! That is just.... Damn it.

Wellp there goes that idea. I guess we're stuffed.

Edit: Oh, wait a second... Please tell me this works....
you probably have to wait until the wallet fully syncs. It seems that the wallet you had the access to, was the faucet wallet. Faucet distribution ended in January 2015 and the remaining coins were supposed to be burned. If that is true, as it seems from your screenshot, then we have to check for the remaining wallets: exchange wallet for the purpose of migrating from FindYouCoin and the bounty wallet. Having explorer up and running this process would be much easier.
I was going to check with the remaining wallets but the blockchain is taking forever to sync.

Now this, this will be interesting. I can't wait to see how long it takes for the
rm -rf /
command to be executed. Smiley

Edit2:
Hey have you guys seen this? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mOTrqckdetCoRxY5QkVcyQ7Z0gcYIH-Dc0tu7t9f7tw/ Has nothing to do with Spreadcoin but I thought it was pretty neat.
608  Other / Off-topic / Re: Watch dog or Gta 5 which you will prefer for playing? on: October 31, 2015, 02:28:13 AM
GTA V is soo much better. It has a better story imo and GTA V is more polished with great physics, unlike Watch Dogs.

Watch dogs has terrible car physics and the novelty of the hacking aspect of the game wears off after a while.

Developers have long left the subject. In my personal opinion the coin was created to steal purses with more valuable cryptocurrency. Checking on virustotal can not give anything.
Well now i'm back, and I think I might be able to compile the qt for windows.

Well well well, what do we have here...

So, now what?
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FIND] FindCoin | Update Wallet If You Haven't! | Community Anti-Scam Token on: October 30, 2015, 10:41:25 PM
Holy sh*t this coin is still active?
I think I have access to to login details to the account that controls most of the coins.
then, this may be a game changer. If we could get first the explorer up and running to get all sanity checks then we could get excited.

Yeah. Hang on, I'll check real soon.
I hope quadmium hasn't changed the passwords.

I also deleted my wallet.dat so I have no coins. Sad

Something is happening behind the curtains, I can't see it but I know it's all good

I suspect Chinese bulls driving the price up to ATH, nothing more. Even though their volume looks really rigged, still you can't deny that they are the primary drivers of this rocket ship towards da moon. An hour or two they should be awake now and the price rise will soon begin again. Smiley
Didn't bitcoin get unofficially unbanned in china? Lets hope it doesn't get officially banned again! Last time that happened there was a slow but steady crash.

It would be great to have option for multiple players in the same field, even if it's 5 or 10 bikes at the same time, and the one that get's the coin wins ofcourse.

Who would control the rewinds?
Does that matter? Couldn't you just control your own?
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys... I'm having this feeling again on: October 30, 2015, 08:19:09 PM
This upwards trend will take Bitcoin to 400 $ is coming days and there will be a slowly but steady uptrend from now on wards. In my opinion the price at 230$ were suppressed and now it is reaction and prices reaching where it should be really.

Nice prediction. We would like steady rise from here. So I hope your prediction come true. Slow rise up is desired.
I think last time china made the price rise. When people heard about it they all went for it and shot up the price. Then bitcoin was suddenly banned in china and everyone tried to get out quickly.
Now hopefully bitcoin won't be banned in china after they accept it.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 30, 2015, 11:05:55 AM
Whatever the reason (except for important matter), as much as possible hold your coins now folks. More price increase are expected to happen in the first week of November according to some trader's speculation. After that week then decide if you still want to hold more. Smiley

I got some profit out of 5 BTC. I bought 5BTC at 220$ and now is time to sell those.
And I'm holding the ones I paid more
Nice trade! I really wish that I held all the Bitcoin I made. Most of the time I invest in an altcoin and get bored waiting for the price to increase. So I sell the alt coins and move on to another coin. Meanwhile the altcoin doubles in price. I swear this happened to me 3 f**king times. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People become believers when they see you pay IRL on: October 30, 2015, 11:01:14 AM
So my friend was in Canada and it was really cold, none of his friends had change, he had some Bitcoin in his phone. Happened to find a place where they would accept BTC. He bought some coffees and warm chocolate and invited all of his friends with it. A quick payment into the guy's Bitcoin address which was printed in a piece of paper, delivered a nice breakfast for him and all his friends. Then they understood how Bitcoin is money no matter what others might say. They stopped seeing it as some geek weird thing. I think using Bitcoin in real life in return of some useful service in front of clueless guys that still think it's not real money, is a great way to teach them how Bitcoin is very real and the real party hasn't even begun yet. Thats why we must never forget about the importance of small transactions like those. Buying some coffee in exchange of Bitcoin impressed them more than any of the revolutionary protocol tech stuff you could explain them.
One day I wish my school cafeteria would accept bitcoin, but I think we're a long way away from that.
Most of my friends don't understand Bitcoin and think it is just some fake currency that can be hacked. Maybe in the future they'll wish they asked more about it. Smiley
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 04:50:43 AM
For me personally the problem with bitcoin is that it is not anonymous (http://www.bitcoinisnotanonymous.com/), at least not yet.
Yeah this is my problem too. I doubt we can do anything about it unless we switch to an altcoin.
Maybe ETH or Tau Chain / Zennet?
620  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price should I buy at? on: October 30, 2015, 04:47:00 AM
Is it just me or has this forum just exploded in activity, I remember the front page would have replies from hours ago. This was just last month or so. Jeeze, I guess a higher Bitcoin price increases the activity of this whole forum.

Edit: Oh wait, the front page still has replies from hours ago, but there is much activity in just the first few threads.
