You guys chill out, try to avoid throwing something personal that might hurt your feelings. Some people are sensitive and that might not end up well here, you should cut the crap, get the fun going and discuss something good for MetaWin.com...

Criticism is normal as long as it's constructive as that would help the casino to improve if they have something to, but please avoid using unpleasant words, keep this thread according to its purpose. PEACE!
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving don't make wealth on: March 06, 2024, 11:50:58 PM
Saving money might not make you a billionaire overnight, but it's like having a financial superhero cape ready for action.

It won't turn you into Iron Man, but it can shield you from unexpected expenses like car trouble or a surprise medical bill. These things can feel like a financial sucker punch, but with a savings safety net, you can weather the storm without going into debt or selling your investments at a bad time.

So, don't underestimate the power of saving. Even a small amount can make a big difference down the road. It's like having a financial bestie who's always there to catch you when you stumble.
Saving is highly as important as investing. However, we are talking here on building our wealth, not building our savings safety net. And the easiest way to achieve it is through barking on potential investments which includes bitcoin and the crypto space. But make sure you have to save first before trying to take risk in such investments. Investing with your hard-earned money and on the amount you can afford to lose is always better than investing through taking loans, so that if you lose them, at least you won’t have monthly dues that will make you struggle to pay.
603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: March 06, 2024, 10:21:17 PM
I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?
You probably have had several anwsers to your question, but then, I am still happy to further say that you are right with all that you said about merit, merit is one of the most important aspect of this forum as far as a user is intrested in ranking up and staying relevant, and earning merit on this forum is very easy, all one have to do is make really good and quality posts, doesnt matter whether if it's a new thread you are starting or you are just commenting on another thread, make really good quality post or comment, and readers will gladly send you merits depending on the level at which they understand what you said and found it useful or very useful.
While other people may seem easy for them to gain merits, but there are still a lot of us here who are struggling to earn merits. DYOR is the key and make reading a habit in the forum and even outside the forum. That way, you will gain a lot of new insights that you can add to a certain discussion in the forum. But don’t get obsessed with getting merits, that will eventually happen in time when you have improved the quality of your posts being posted in the forum. Instead, focus more on gaining new relevant information all about bitcoin and its crypto space. There’s higher advantage to gain merits if you have a lot of new knowledge to share that you think will bring benefits to the majority in the forum.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: keep pleasures without incomes aside and Chase after profits on: March 05, 2024, 11:46:21 PM
Just do your thing, if you think celebrations can be delayed and it's just a pleasure and your wife is totally okay with that. That's your relationship and there's no one that will stop you to use that money to anything else or by investing in the crypto market.

I just think that since you have your money on investment like Bitcoin, you shouldn't have proceed to marriage when you know such things will bring problems, you know the kind of woman you marry, you know better and see better than most of us here that are dropping our one cents and opinions.
That's right, you know your woman better and she knows you better too. Don't get overhype with expectations over reality but it's up to the kind of arrangement that both of you have.

If it's part of your plan to have a better life in the future, good luck to all of us who are investing and keep on investing and holding bitcoin.  Cool
Women are women. They will be upset today but eventually it will vanish after couple of days. So just talk to your wife heart to heart and I think if she’s looking forward for a great future with you, I know she’ll understand. Focus on your bitcoin investment but at the same time, do not let your wife feel ignored. Tell her that she’s a big part of your plan, and her emotional support on what you’ve been doing is a big thing. Maximize your bitcoin accumulation so that when bull run comes, both of you will come to prosper. Celebration can be delayed but big opportunities like in bitcoin never comes to your door all the time.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 05, 2024, 10:57:45 PM
Holding, most of the time.

Especially when the surge is almost everywhere, you just have to pick what you have to pick on this market and you need to sit and tighten your belt before the market leaves you.

I don't want to take chances in trading, if I want to add some of my balances because I have to take time checking it from time to time. I'll just use my money and simply gonna buy that in addition to my portfolio.
Actually one can do both trading and hodling as long as he’s good enough to succeed from his trades. If there are bigger probability to be in profits, then why not? But don’t forget to continue DCA as well as you are not just preparing your portfolio with this upcoming bull run but definitely in the next year bull run as well. So trade if you know there are reasons to trade, but never stop from accumulating more bitcoin because that’s the surest and safest way to gain decent profits in the market. If your trades do not work as planned, at least you still have good amount of hodlings that will give sufficient amount of profits when you decide to sell them at a higher position.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just a friendly Bitcoin friend reminder - High price = more scams on: March 04, 2024, 11:59:08 PM
Great advice, and yes. Do not click on any link in your emails and never open and try to figure out the "Spam" Folder. It's literally spam.
And one more thing, do not open any PDF file you receive from someone. It can be malicious too and can empty your wallets (mostly Metamask and extensions).
So take care of your funds, and keep growing. <3
Scams are everywhere. Whether online of offline, you have to secure your investment 100% so that they won’t see any holes that will give them hints to steal your coins. And curiosity sometimes might be misleading. Don’t be deceived with different emails and try to open them, it will create immediately an access to your investment that will lead them to steal your bitcoins. As much as possible, have a separate phone for your personal email account and another phone for your bitcoin wallet. So that even if your email account will be hacked, at least your bitcoin wallet will not be put into danger.
607  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: March 04, 2024, 11:30:04 PM
It's getting closer to bitcoin reaching All Time High (ATH) price after bitcoin touched $66k about few hours ago, based on coinmarket cap data, current the all time high price of bitcoin around $69k and left under 5% for bitcoin raise the new all time high price only third months of this year. I think in the early of 2024 bitcoin hit new all time high price its not close the most highest price of bitcoin record will make in this year regarding more than 9 months left.
I am waiting with tomorrow will bitcoin getting more closer with all time high price or get bit correction before getting close to raise new all time high price, seems optimistic in this week we can see the new ATH of bitcoin price without waiting until the end of this year but difficult to see altcoin can break out to higher price such as how significant movement with bitcoin.
When the current price of bitcoin will cross the previous ATH price, it does not mean that we have already reached the new ATH. No one knows what will be the next ATH for bitcoin and when it will land in the market, but most likely it will hit the market when bitcoin bull run is happening. However, what we have right now are just speculations based on the past history of bitcoin ATH. For now, let’s focus more on DCA so we can be more massive when bull run finally comes.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery ticket sports bets on: March 03, 2024, 04:19:42 PM
it's just as you said, $0.05 per ticket and you win $50,000 that sounds a lot like a lottery.

i have never tried this before but i might just try this to see how it will work. it there are just some experts who share their predictions then it will make it easier for us to reach 25 bets. it will be hard to win this. even with 5 multibets, you will need to be the luckiest still.

I'm not sure if there are bookies out there that would accept a minimum bet of $0.05. On the bookie I'm using, if I recall correctly, the minimum was like $0.1 per bet, so that's what you need to risk every time you make a lottery-like parlay. Also, there are bookies that limit the total odds or bet combination, so you won't be able to make a lottery-like ticket if you are aiming for huge winnings.

The maximum combined odds I have tried was around x1000, so if I were to bet $0.1 to win, that is only $100, and that doesn't look like a lottery winning at all. I guess I'll try again. Great idea from OP; I hadn't realized it's possible to get huge odds with a minimal bet. My fear now is, will they pay me if I win a significant amount of money, like $100k, for example?
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: March 03, 2024, 03:23:41 PM
Every business has a struggle at the beginning; maybe they realize that they are not ready yet for the big competition. The good news is they were able to keep their fiat casino, as I believe it was already in operation before they started their venture into crypto gambling. The gesture is still kind of positive, as others may just easily leave doing some "exit scam." Here they never attempted it, so if they come back in the future, they can still keep their positive reputation.

I doubt this due to tough competition since they strong marketing already that running well. They should just stop the promotion if they think the problem is competition and just re-evaluate their next step for marketing.

I think it’s more on rebranding part or legal issue since operating crypto casino is different to fiat. They probably come back again soon in different brand name. This is common strategy of fiat casino when they are opening a crypto arm casino.

I hope that's the reason. If it's just a simple compliance with the law, they should be able to comply, as they have been running a fiat casino already, and I think it's more regulated than crypto casinos. Maybe let's just wait for their official statement, as they haven't made any yet. But if, in case, they don't go into details, we have to respect their decision. What matters is that they were here not to scam us.
610  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 03, 2024, 12:07:57 PM

The good thing is that the pie they are sharing is a huge pie. The crypto gambling industry is already in the billions, and with the ongoing popularity of crypto, the numbers will just continue to grow. Each platform has its own way of introducing itself to the public, and the more they are eager to advertise, the more the industry will improve as a whole. This casino is quite new but is already gaining popularity here, and probably outside the forum too.

I’m surprised that they managed to land their promotion here in Bitcointalk while they already have strong marketing on social media. This only show that our forum is being valued even by casino that has strong marketing already outside here.

Truly as a result of the publicity and awareness, Metawin casino became much more popular that each gambler wants to get registered. I understand that social media is okay for advertising but I think this platform has a good advertising strength when it gets to do with online casino that involves Crypto currency. Every one individual or gambler here are conversant and farmiliar with crypto currency and coupled with the fact that the population here is in millions so that is an added advantage to take charge of.
Metawin coming here is never a mistake and I strongly believe the promotion is creating more awareness and publicity for the casino.

They are a crypto casino, and this is the best place for that. It's the right thing to do, and as they continue to promote here, people will recognize them as one of the most popular casinos on Bitcointalk. There are some casinos that just come and go, but they probably don't have a good marketing plan and budget. I believe Metawin has both.
611  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: March 03, 2024, 11:10:42 AM
It's revenue. They have lost a significant amount already in 3 months. They are quite experience in the industry as they have 2 fiat business, there's no way to go anything wrong. Price fluctuation has nothing to do with the decision as far as I know.
It's very strange that they are shutting down crypto casino but are leaving fiat casino open. There is way bigger competition among fiat casinos compared to crypto casinos. I think that 3 months is a little for casino, amazon was was operating without profit for nine years since its foundation. No doubts they are more experienced than me and decided to close the crypto casino but I find it very curious that they survived in a fiat casino world but failed in crypto.
Btw is it possible that they'll add cryptocurrencies to their fiat casino? Or did they abandon crypto forever?

Every business has a struggle at the beginning; maybe they realize that they are not ready yet for the big competition. The good news is they were able to keep their fiat casino, as I believe it was already in operation before they started their venture into crypto gambling. The gesture is still kind of positive, as others may just easily leave doing some "exit scam." Here they never attempted it, so if they come back in the future, they can still keep their positive reputation.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 02, 2024, 02:29:32 PM
West in tough for the Warriors, they might not even get pass the Kings if they will face them again in the playoff. Although they win again, it's going to be a lot of effort for them to land in the top 6 now.

Wiggins seems to be out again, Moody as replacement is good but can they sustain it? Again, I think something is missing with the Warriors right now. Maybe it was Klay scoring output, or Looney not asserting himself in the middle as he used to with double rebounds every game and then manning the middle. It could be that they are playing small. But let's see, they have the championship DNA and it might carry them in the playoff again.

I don't know, but I have this feeling that the current Warriors lineup is quite better than last season. Still, it will rely on Curry; if he keeps himself healthy, then the Warriors are still a very dangerous team. Warriors vs Kings, this will be good as the last time they met, it was a 7-game series. But honestly, I think the Kings have a lack of consistency now, while the Warriors are maintaining their consistency well.

We can look at the standings, https://www.espn.ph/nba/standings

They are only at the number 9 but their last 10 games are very impessive, 8-2, while the Kings seems to be struggling with 5-5 on their last 10.

They just came from championship if I'm not mistaken, so the crew they have last year, correct me if I'm wrong, majority of them are with there last championship team. So yeah, they could be a better team as compare to last year.

But the issues with them already started even before the season. Draymond punching Poole, and then Jordan Poole going into the public how his minutes is diminishing and Kerr is not putting him in the 4th quarter in the second round of the playoff. So  there's a lot of issue last season. But this year, with the way that they are playing after the All Star, I will say that they are better than compare when they have Jordan Poole as their 3rd scoring option.

Nope, it was the Denver Nuggets who won the championship last season. But prior to that, it was the Warriors when they beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals. After that, the Warriors' chemistry has been going down the drain, and the reason was the punching incident in the practice between Draymond and Poole. But, as we can see now, it seems like it was really Poole who has the attitude problem, as he is also struggling now with the new team, which he called his own.

Poole with the Warriors was averaging 20.4, while now his average has gone down to 16.3 points only. The worst part is he is playing on one of the worst teams in the NBA, so the playoff chances are out of his range now.

613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 02, 2024, 10:48:40 AM
I think it's wrong to believe that we should only bet 5% to 10% of our monthly income. This percentage is considered as bankroll management. If you think of a monthly income, it implies not winning at all and incurring a certain monthly loss on average.

When you are gambling and set up a decent bankroll, that will give you the kind of thrill you are looking for. For example, if you have a monthly income of $1000 and apply 10% of your monthly income, that's only $100 a month, not an amount that could deliver excitement.

In my opinion, I would try to raise a bankroll of $500, and from there, I will manage it based on a percentage per bet. So, how can I manage to raise that? If I am earning $1000 per month, I could raise that bankroll in 3 months of working. I think it's not too big to be deducted from my salary, and then everything will be fun. My goal now is how to be profitable and grow my bankroll.
614  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: March 02, 2024, 08:51:54 AM
There are a lot of gamblers here, and each casinos are competing for that slice in a pie.

It's not just that. In addition to the gamblers that are on the forum, the signatures that we wear make the casino rise in terms of SEO, and we must also take into account the people who visit the casino without being registered, who are an important part too, and can access the casinos that are advertised here by clicking on the links in the signatures.

I think that's already been given, if you advertise here and have members promote their signatures, SEO will come into fruition. So it's really a competition, the more members who promote, the more SEO and link juices going into this casinos and who knows, when someone searches them in the big G, their casino name will be on top in page 1 because of the promotion here.

So it's a win-win for them not just Metawin, we have seen one of the oldest casinos still promoting their sites here. And then we have those who was born from the pandemic also still here and doing good. It's highly aggressive competition from this companies, new and old. But I guess the real winner here is us gamblers as we will have a lot of options moving forward.

Definitely, the bigger the competition, the better for gamblers like us. MetaWin came at a timely manner as the market is bullish. Based on my observations in the past, when the market is bullish, lots of people come in, not only to invest but also to gamble at the same time. It's like when the market is bullish, many people are becoming profitable, and one way to entertain themselves with their profit is to gamble.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much knowledge is enough to satisfy an individual on: March 01, 2024, 11:59:58 PM
There's no amount of knowledge that will satisfy a human being. Even the most intelligent and the wealthiest person in the world will never gain satisfaction on what they have achieved so its just goes to show that learning will continue to evolve and develop while you are alive and kicking in this world full of mystery.

There are times you fall into errors and losses in your life, but that does not tell us to stop learning but instead it will build more motivation for us to keep going and embrace more knowledge and skills development in life.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: March 01, 2024, 09:58:42 PM
Bitcoin will gain higher returns if you hold it for long term, simply because bitcoin is indeed for long term. However, hodling may not be as easy as others may imagined like you just want to invest and decide to hold it forever with no plans to sell. There are always inevitable temptations in the market and if you are weak, you will easily fall on the market’s trap and end up selling earlier.

Fears and doubts are common for hodlers most particularly for those who have never experienced risk management. This is the reason why one should study its investment first before trying to indulge in it. So that there will be no regretting in the process, and you just stick to your plan and goal which is to invest and hold and reap massive profits when the perfect time comes.
617  Other / Meta / Re: Should Merit-Sources send merit based on their feelings or quality of the post? on: March 01, 2024, 09:29:38 PM
Before anything, these are human beings you are dealing with & emotions are very much part of the biology!
So understanding the point raised means , if you choose a path that  will put you in bad books with merit sources and not get you these golden nuggets you have yourself to blame, and let's not forget this isn't an easy undertaking especially that this isn't a paid job for them to spend time going through threads looking for posts that qualify to be merited... otherwise naturally merit should be based on the quality of the most just like they do when making applications when trying to become merit sources.
Honestly, it’s hard to send merits to those posters you dislike in the forum. But I don’t think we should tolerate this kind of feeling towards other members in the forum since we are here not to compete nor take an edge over others but to work harmoniously with other members. Anger nor envy has no room in the forum.

Merits are actually given freely to those who are deserving high quality posters in the forum, and I think we should stick to this idea because merits should be earned, not to serve as an exchange for some favors.
618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we understand market going to be Bear? on: March 01, 2024, 08:56:45 PM
Identifying a market shift to bearish trends can be done by several signs. For instance, worsening economic conditions, declining trading volumes, reduced investor interest, and an overall negative market sentiment may indicate that the market is turning bearish. It's important to closely monitor news and market changes to pick up on these signals.I also know that some people determine it using technical indicators, but I'm not familiar with them

Yes, these hints are enough to say where the market is going. Else you can also see it in a very basic manner. If more people selling the coins in any particular exchange, then that will lead to the bear market. As they are not buying the coins, and not increasing the demand. Also this trend is seen after the bull run only. So there is always high probability that you will see a bear season soon after the bull run. But if you are a long term trader, then these seasons will not affect you a lot.
Its normal to see a bearish market after a bull run, since the market is only composed of two market seasons. Now, if you are seeing the opposite trend of bullish season, obviously we are entering already the bearish market. But to be honest, we should not be worrying about this since this offers a big opportunity for all investors to buy again and maximize bitcoin purchase. However, for those who still fear about bearish market, I guess they don’t really understand that profits in bitcoin was built first during bearish market.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: March 01, 2024, 02:54:32 PM

Anyways, the strategy I'm considering is something like, when BTC crosses $100K CAD, (it's currently at $83K CAD) I plan on selling 0.01 BTC per week. Kind of like DCA but in reverse. Then possibly increasing that amount alongside BTC value, so if it crosses $125K, sell 0.0125 BTC per week, 0.015 per week at $150K, etc.

Since it's impossible to predict exactly what will happen to BTC price over the coming bull market, I'm hoping to get a decent return over the course of the cycle without completely selling all of our BTC. Then when it inevitably flips bearish again, start DCAing back in like we have been up to this point.

What do you guys think? Does that sound like a reasonable strategy? Is there anything else I need to consider?

Thanks  :-)

Not bad of a strategy if you don't want to sell all your bitcoin while maximizing your opportunity to make profit. However, it would be best to just let that bitcoin sit tight on your wallet since we're heading to another bullrun in the post halving. We are most likely gonna see another unprecedented pump that could potentially hit the 6 digit mark in USD. So, I thought it would be wiser to sell all your bag in one setting when that happens.
Nevertheless, bitcoin will for sure hit more than $150k CAD sooner.
For most of long term hodlers, this would be the option they prefer most. Selling only when bull run hits the market with its new all time high. However, this is not the only profitable strategy in the market, either selling all at once or selling portion of bitcoin consistently, same will result into profits. So I think the strategy planned by OP is still good and reasonable.

This depends on individual preference. What matters most is you don’t rush to sell at a loss, but you are still waiting for the right time to sell and that only means selling when the price is higher from the position you first bought your coins.
620  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 29, 2024, 11:53:36 PM
How many of the actual graduates hold the knowledge of what they are graduated? They just learn something in a top college public colleges to get a job then just sit in their comfort until they retire but one who is rich now worked their Ass to get into this stage and only they know how much struggled to get here and importantly they found a solution to the existing problem in the society that can be monetized is the most efficient way to make quick money.
Of course, you can’t make money and get rich if you don’t work hard for it and even struggle. There’s no shortcuts to succeed, everything is paid with hardwork and perseverance at first. And even graduates are not an exception. They should still consistently apply the theories they have learned in their colleges, and if they excel to that and manage to make extra efforts, then being financially successful in the long run will always be possible.
