I wonder if the beta version of the gpu miner has been already distributed to a few donators..there is a recent increase in difficulty "9.32315743" as of last checked. Or it might be the result of the recent HP9 roll-out. Or it might be the combination of the two.
I donated 2 BTC and didn't receive anything yet, though there were probably some higher-paying people than myself. Donated too and still waiting. |

I tried directly with wallet mining. I got one of the other comps to start GPU mining. The main rig seems to hate this coin and won't mine at all. lol |

You're rewarded for using the Folding @ Home client and solving Work Units. (like mining shares/blocks for BTC/LTC mining) And Folding @ Home ( http://folding.stanford.edu/) specifically runs protein folding simulations to find cures for diseases like cancer. Other users have been doing this for years but this is the first project to try to link coin rewards and F@H. |

What I meant is that you can't use your asic miners to mine this coin currently or ever as it was designed to mine only sha256 coins like BTC. Of course if you already know this, my apologies. Yeah good to know. Anyways, the directions simply don't work for me. It's the neocoin software trying to initialize USB for some reason... Its scrypt not sha256. These directions do not work for me, I get errors trying to initialize my USB ASIC miners. The difficulty is very very low (0.0002) you can mine hard... and coins per Block are variable (exponential moving average'difficulty/reward adjustment) It's easy to mine for people who don't know: 1. Run setup-neocoin.exe
2. Cick on Neocoin Server on your Desktop, wait...
3. then Click on Neocoin Miner on your Desktop you are mining! that's all! You can also download a ZIP version without autoimatic miner. |

After formatting my mining computer and re-installing windows, my F@H clients are finally working properly
5850 - 13k PPD x 3
6950 - 15k PPD x 2
For a total of around 70k PPD with 5 gfx cards.
Still nowhere close to the 79xx 120k PPD, but I'll take it.
