621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do with over $4-5 worth in BTC? on: August 11, 2014, 02:19:30 AM
I cant beleive you wrote that much words or even thinking this hard for $5  Cheesy

Because $5 doesn't mean much to you perhaps it does for other people and I know a lot of people would love to have a spare $5 every single month.

Might be true but $5 isn't that much and if people spent enough time on faucets they would be able to earn that much every week if not more.

That $5 may be quite a bit of money for those living in developing countries.
And if he get it by solving captcha 10 hours a day for a whole week, it means a lot to him lol. Wink

I was wondering what all the numbers next to trust meant. I know one of them is positive trust, but what are all the other ones? Thanks!

Please take a look at the following two threads by theymos.
For the trust system: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0
For the trust score formula: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=337207.0

hi guys today just now i got banned for no reason the reason stated that you are banned for spam posting or pm messaging ..
i did not send any pm to anyone and i dont spam anywhere no the forum you can see my posts.. here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=76446

Want a help from a moderator.

U r perma-banned or banned for a certain period ? If it is your first time, then most likely the second one is true and u should feel lucky that Vod has not already turned u Red for asking loans without co-laterals. Moreover, in your last post u said your alt account can be a co-lateral... this may also be a reason for your ban, though I'm not sure about the exact forum rule of holding alt accounts as co-lateral.

Theymos clearly stated that alt accounts are permitted, as long as they aren't used to evade bans. OP is doing this, evading a ban, and will probably be IP banned or something similar.

Where I can check my or others ip? Only mods can do it? IF he has not permanent IP someone else can be banned instead.
Only theymos can check IPs, he will only release it if he receive an official police report. Anyone can easily use TOR to evade the ban, IP ban doesn't really work.

IIRC, people need to pay a fee to register a new account with Tor, but they can use Tor to login their registered accounts without any problem. Smiley
628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poll : do you trust an exchange to hold your bitcoins ? on: July 11, 2014, 05:13:05 PM
Nope, as the old saying goes, if you don't have the private keys, you don't have your bitcoin. Smiley
629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the BEST way to buy bitcoins with Paypal? on: July 11, 2014, 05:10:49 PM
Hello everyone, what is the absolute best and safest way to buy. BTC with Paypal? Also which site doesn't ask for documents and gives crazy headaches?

I haven't used it myself, but from what I heard and read here, Virwox is a reliable site for you to buy bitcoin with paypal. Smiley
630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what exchange do u use? on: July 11, 2014, 05:07:42 PM
Localbitcoins only, because I can buy/sell bitcoin fast and easy there without revealing my identity. Wink
631  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoins in bulk on: July 11, 2014, 05:05:38 PM

In other words, his buy order will drive the price up significantly and cost him a lot more lol. Cheesy

634  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mydailybitcoin.com ? Scam or not? on: July 11, 2014, 04:50:58 PM
To whome it might concern, I invested 20 BTC and lost them like many others.

I would like to ask to the scamming people to think about my kids and not only their needs. Perhaps I was a fool to believe honnest people were around on this blue ball.

You "invested" $12,000 on that HYIP, seriously dude?  Huh
635  Economy / Services / Re: XBTec - campaign terminated on: July 11, 2014, 04:37:54 PM
I doubt if XBTec made a profit on this signature campaign if his website is not finished yet. There are still no products displayed on his website until the campaign is terminated.

Yeah I believe he started the campaign a little too early. Smiley

So after running the sig campaign for over a month, he still has nothing to sell?  Huh

Yes, XBtec still developing final product. It's not bad to advertise before finishing product.
Now it will help them when product will be finish because mostly now know XBtec name.

I am not sure it will help them, as they have damaged their own reputation with the sig campaign mess ironically.

637  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Invest bitcoins? on: July 11, 2014, 04:32:01 PM
I would just hodl my bitcoin, rather than lending it out, investing in casinos or trading bitcoin/altcoin.

This could perhaps explain his 'illness' as well as his foundation status. Care to explain these accusations upDown?

That is really interesting. Seems like Updown is the one behind the mtgox leak. Smiley

Why should you admins/mods not banned this guy which is a scammer?!

You may create a thread in scam accusations and ask those on the default trust list to give OP a negative trust feedback.
