After the Facebook fiasco they got a huge revenge over their once friend Mark Zuckerberg. These guys made it to the top by believing in what bitcoin could have been in the future not only investing in the asset itself, but also building an empire around it! Kudos

I hope he will read you and to go listen those songs  Grin

I sincerely doubt it, because when a man writes about some serious things, he should at least be able to be intelligent enough to use search engines or visit YT. Yet I don’t think he meant literally that no one wrote a song about Bitcoin, but that it wasn’t done by one of the famous singers, or at least known to him.

On gold, I wouldn't be so strict since we all know that bitcoin can be considered a digital form of gold. They share many characteristics with the main difference being the fact that with bitcoin you can carry as many of them as you want. With gold, well, that's tricky. Cool

There are already countless discussions about everything that is and is not common to gold, silver and Bitcoin - but I personally think that they have very little in common. First of all, Bitcoin has a max supply which makes it very attractive to invest because we all know in advance what will happen in this regard in the next 100 years. On the other hand, no one can say with certainty how much gold has been mined so far and how much is still there on planet Earth, and how much is there anywhere else in space.

If the plans to start commercial mining of gold and other minerals/metals from asteroids in the next 50 years really come true, what will happen to the price of gold?
I know what you mean and given the current economic chaos started by the pandemic I'd have imagined a gold price of 3 to 5K (and that never happened). Of course a space gold rush, which looks quite near, would change everything.
Therefore, on that specific part, bitcoin is not affected!
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 13, 2021, 08:02:30 AM
Very interesting article in Marca today: ''Zidane's warning to avoid a repeat of Real Madrid's 2004 collapse''
''The Real Madrid boss indicated that his players are already their limit physically, and he is still unsure as to how they will finish the season.''

Zidane is clearly afraid of repeating the history he personally witnessed in 2004.
Real really have a tough schedule in the Champions League and the Spanish league and a lot of older players in the team and the question is whether players can sustain that pace to the end.
What do you think?

How could it be that they are so physically stressed and fatigued? I don't buy this article, sounds like some shitty propaganda to combat Zidane's great comeback.
Do you guys remember that less than a few months ago many here were calling for him to leave Real? Many said his time was over...and look at him now! Running for Champions League and the Spanish title altogether.
625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis of Bitcoin and other Altcoins on: April 12, 2021, 03:39:44 PM
Bitcoin and other Altcoins

Bitcoin is not an altcoin.

If you said, "Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies", it would be like saying "Man and other animals". Technically man is just an animal.

Saying "Bitcoin and other altcoins" is like saying, "Man and other sub-human species". No comparison.
Seconding the Bitcoin officer, because this thread title is very outrageous to say the least. You should amend it because it doesn't belong here.
Altcoins can't be really put on the bitcoin apple, it's not even like comparing apples and oranges but more like comparing a Ferrari to a skateboard.

My job is not well paid even for my poor country, but I have no moral right to quit. This is a dream prestigious position that I worked very hard to get. It requires talking with people mostly about computer technology and Bitcoin for 6 hours ... per week (edit: plus 5 months paid vacation per year). Yes, my bosses are idiots and they try to humiliate me in every possible way. I could become a boss too, but that would mean I have to work 8 hours per day, no thanks! But they have no idea that my wealth is equal to the yearly budget of the whole organization (which has hundreds of employees), so I am quite happy for now and gloat from the inside Grin. But I'm thinking of finding an income on a certain island where for now I intend to spend each Summer. And at some point I can settle permanentrly with the help of the stash I have. Theoretically I could buy a small 200-500m2 villa and live without an income for 2 decades, relying only on my BTC stash, but I am afraid to take any risks. Hopefully this dream will become true soon. Hitting 200-300K price target will make the things much easier for sure Wink
Inspiring, I'm not even close to the wealth you mention but I'll keep my job to be able to stack more sats and enjoy my wealth at a later stage. I also like my job and even if my bosses are like yours, I don't care.
I'm doing this until my kids will get older and able to control our own bitcoin wealth Smiley
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 12, 2021, 11:29:43 AM
Atlético Madrid is feeling the pressure of Real Madrid, you can feel it and it can be seen when they play. Yesterday's 1-1 is the sign they are on the brink of collapsing if they don't find a way to manage the psychological burden of having lost many points in the last games.
It's gonna be very interesting to watch this final part of the season Wink
In the end, I think Real will prevail, experience always plays a huge role in this.

Manchester United played the best game of the season, it was such an exciting game. Tottenham probably didn't deserve the two goals gap but Man United was able to score at 90+6 and secure the final 3-1.
If they keep consistently winning, the Citizens should really watch their back from now on (don't forget United is one game behind).
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 12, 2021, 11:15:37 AM
Looking at the recent posts here, it seems everyone has forgotten about Milan and the title race. Everyone is just focused on Inter and Juve. Considering Ac Milan messed up their chances themselves, I understand. I wish they can still compete at the level they were doing the start of the season when they had an unbeaten streak before Juventus handed them their first loss. I still think Milan is going to push a bit to try and see if they can still meet up with Inter. Won't be an easy task since Inter just can't seem to stop winning.

10 wins in 10 games is a pretty impressive run with 30 points  boost.
I don't think anybody here forgot about AC Milan but the thing is that Inter Milan is leading by a lot of points and given that, only the nerazzurri can lose the race to the title. We'll see how it goes in the next three games because if Inter manages to win all these three games then it's almost done.

Silly Twitter fad
Was cool for about a week.
Now it's outdated.
Everything that has been done in the garden of bitcoin is aging apart from bitcoin itself.
Let's move on, I never liked the laser eyes fad.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What skills do you need to have to find new Hidden altcoin gems? on: April 11, 2021, 03:45:42 PM
There are no hidden gems come on, 99% of alts should be valued 0 or less. It's only mere speculation for these useless coins which survive the days thanks to noobs who spend their hard earned money waiting to find the new BTC. Clearly, on the long run they are gonna be disappointed.
633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 11, 2021, 03:43:25 PM
Can we already crown Inter as Champions of Serie A ? because they worked so hard for two years in a row to win the tittle and with today victory they have 11 points over the 2nd place and very low chances to lose the tittle.

There are some rumors in Spain that Zidane will leave in Summer and head towards Juventus. This will be nice to see.
Think so, even thought better say over until it's over.
Surely, there's a clear fight for the second place where Milan and Juve are the only two clear contenders.
Only if Atalanta wins tonight against Florencia we could consider them as the last team to battle for the second place.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 11, 2021, 03:36:56 PM
After a great win by Real in the Clasico now it's time for the colchoneros to show some pride and defeat Real Betis to keep their hands on the title. I think Simeone's gonna inject his rage into his players' blood and take home this very important three points!
635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 11, 2021, 03:31:59 PM
Sometimes even ghosts can appear and score a goal! Suat Serdar gave a joy to his supporters and his teammates after a long losing streak.
The guys at Gazprom must have done a very important risk/benefit analysis before signing more years with Schalke: I don't understand why keeping ties with a team that's losing its good aura.
636  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-4-9 Bloomberg - Bitcoin is displacing gold as an inflation hedge on: April 11, 2021, 03:18:22 PM
Not that the article is generally bad, but that obsession with gold/silver in relation to Bitcoin has already become a bit irritating, especially if someone analyzes the gold/silver ratio in the past 300 years and everything that happened in that period - trying to find out what it can mean for Bitcoin that is barely over 10 years old. There is a lot of speculation, but the main problem of all journalists who deal with cryptocurrencies is that they really have nothing to catch when looking for facts to justify their assumptions.

The author of this article also has basic problems with searching the Internet, because there are so many songs dedicated to Bitcoin - and he is obviously not aware of that.

As far as I'm aware, nobody has written any songs about bitcoin yet. Please fill this gap in my knowledge if you know of one.

Here's something for you Johnny -> All About That Bitcoin - by Naomi van der Velde + Lovesong for Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin Whitepaper
I hope he will read you and to go listen those songs  Grin

How many early adopters do you think are still out there who have kept the majority of their coins? I don't agree with you because coins have spread so much after 2014.
I don't see this centralization you are seeing and it's actually good that those who hoard now are doing that seeing the big picture.

638  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the Market is Thinking About Bitcoin Differently on: April 10, 2021, 03:59:18 PM
Whoever has been smart enough to take some time to study, understand and comprehend all the various aspects that constitute the fundamentals of bitcoin , I think will never regret transferring part of their wealth into the orange currency.
Today, exchanging fiat currency for BTC is a bit like taking out an insurance policy on the future. I still consider it a zero-sum bet but I'm increasingly happy to have entered at the right time and to have been consistent with my choices despite the (many) mistakes made. I digressed a bit to say that visualcapitalist is great, I've been watching it for a while and it's clearly a bookmark of mine.

639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A Must See Why Binance BNB is Stil SUPER Cheap on: April 10, 2021, 03:52:32 PM
Now I'm convinced that this small altseason is gonna end very bad considering the amount of youtubers spreading tips on how to get rich. BNB is not bad but the predictions made there are absolutely nonsensical. There's not enough value on that chain and I doubt billion dollar projects will move there.

Bayern Munich's small misstep allows Leipzig to recover two very precious points in the race for the Bundesliga title!
It was a phenomenal away win for Leipzig, who beat Werder 4-1 at home.
5 points difference with Munich is a huge gap but let's see how confident Leipzig will stay.
