621  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] AltcoinHub's Bitcoin Faucet - Payouts DOUBLED+ on: February 14, 2015, 12:49:14 PM
** UPDATE **

Even though ad clicks haven't reached the point I'd hoped they would by now, I've gone and bumped up the payouts
as promised. In fact, I've more than DOUBLED the payouts AND added two new prize levels. So the new possible
payouts are:

300
500
700
1000
1200

Still every three hours and still minimal ads and NO pop ups / pop unders / redirects.

not see much promise in altcoins.

Aw how can you say that? Altcoin development helps propel innovation in digital currency.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which are the bright new altcoins of 2015? on: February 13, 2015, 10:48:39 AM
I've had my head under a rock the past couple of months, scrambling to make ends' meet, but now I'm back
and trying to get a feel for what's already come out in 2015 that's worth looking at and what is *going* to be
coming out.

All opinions welcome Smiley

Steven,

Folks in this thread aren't trying to be mean, but when someone new comes along and starts asking for funding
before they've even really made an attempt to engage with the community (I see you only have 8 posts), it sends
up a red flag and makes people suspicious.

Aside from all of the snark, some good resources have been listed for you. Take advantage of them and best of
luck to you!

Cheers,

Cynthia

626  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Website Developer on: February 11, 2015, 01:41:32 PM
WordPress + WooCommerce (which has a Bitcoin payment add-on, I believe) would do the trick. I've been
doing web development, design and SEO for over 18 years and have lots of experience with WordPress.

Feel free to PM me if you're interested in talking further.

Best,

Cynthia

If I am using my BTC address with Microwallet, am I still good to keep doing that or do I need to switch to
my XAPO account?

To all faucet users:
would you prefer SolveMedia captcha (the one I'm using now) or AreYouHuman captcha (for example the one used by superbitco.in)?

Are You Human. I know you don't earn as much with it, but it's less irritating to users I think.

You could always sell your hashing power. Depending on where you are located, NiceHash.com or WestHash.com (same company,
different server locations) are a good place to start to look into that.

I know a lot of folks dismiss faucets, but if you're just getting started and have more time on your hands than money,
it isn't a bad way to get introduced to Bitcoin. The trick is not to waste your time on the faucets that only pay out
minor duckets. Focus on the higher paying faucets instead.
637  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What a mistake.... on: February 09, 2015, 05:54:38 AM
So I bought myself two 10gh/s miners from BFL (max 25gh/s).
What a waste of $118...
I should've done my research before I bought these damn bricks.
At this difficulty i'm making a grand total of $.06 a day... wooo.
Can anybody advise me on what to do with these bricks (besides not being and idiot and doing some research prior to purchase)? are there any altcurrencies out there worth mining?

If it's cold where you are, use 'em to help heat your house Smiley I have 4 little mini gridseeds and even with
their heatsinks and whatnot, they still put out a fair amount of warmth when I used to mine with them.

No funds in the faucet. Are you going to top it off? Please let me know. If you're going to leave it empty, I'd like
to remove it from my rotation.

Have you figured out a way to make the advertising iframes responsive? Not as big a deal for the 300px and 250px wide ads, but for
the 468x60 and 728x90 banners it becomes an issue.

well the problem is not the iframes themselves, you can make those responsive easely, the problem lies in the CONTENT of the iframe, not beeing responsive, wich is something i cant do anything about ...

I wonder if something like this would work:

Code:
iframe img { display:block ;
width:100% ;
height:auto ;
}

I'm going to try it later today and test it out.
