6221  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 81btc on: March 07, 2013, 06:07:48 AM
Shiftybugger, thank you for starting this thread.  I was considering using Coinabul, but the complete lack of accountability shown in Coinabul's response made me think twice.  They are not going to refund your order because you bugged them after months of not receiving anything?  Completely inappropriate response.  I'd like to get Casascius to weigh in on this, he also a lot of experience sending insured orders paid for by bitcoin and I'm sure he would refund the order in a case like this.
+1

I ordered a gold coin from coinabul. I waited about 7 days, sent them an email asking when I'll get it, will take "7-10 business days". Okay. Later, haven't got anything, sent them another email, not shipped, "You will get a tracking number in your email within the next 2-3 business days.". Still no tracking number. Sent them another email, "should be no more than 1-2 business days at the most." - after nearly two weeks, not shipped.

Messaged coinabul here and finally it got shipped. Go figure. Tongue

We are quite close to winning this board game! Smiley
6223  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PrimeAsic - 80 Ghash/sec Asic Miner on: March 07, 2013, 05:54:43 AM
They could have striked a deal with Avalon team to be a reseller.
(basically they just buy the chips/modules from Avalon)

Then again, if I'd be reselling the only real Asic known so far, I'd advertise this as big as possible on my website Smiley
ASICMINER.
6224  Other / Meta / Re: Register of Moderator Interests on: March 07, 2013, 05:52:27 AM
You must be joking, have you seen the garbage mods have to deal with already? The last thing I'm gonna do on this forum is share my financial information publicly. For the most part, the mods are good people who care about bitcoin and the community. In return for them donating their free time to help the forum, the very least they deserve is the same privacy everyone else gets.

I think what's more important is no conflict of interest - ie don't moderate a controversial XYZ thread if you own 10% of XYZ. Pretty obvious and I hope this is being adhered to.
6225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Ripple/XRP compete with Mt. Gox???? effectively on: March 07, 2013, 05:48:45 AM
Sure, but you got to trust the gateways. Because your 1 USD on Ripple is NOT USD, it is an IOU (debt) that is under 100% of circumstances worth less than 1 USD.
6226  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 07, 2013, 05:47:12 AM
What's wrong with this transaction ?

http://blockchain.info/tx-index/58710888/06585f02e5992bd7fdf28f69b1d3f6f91a5a6969c79061ec67c29c17c7f5a1f5
not confirming... hours later

That's proof of share ownership.

low fee, lots of dust, lots of other transactions waiting.

it will sooner or later. don't worry.
Or double spend the coins with a fee the default client considers acceptable?

Plug: I am longing ASICMINER shares. I will pay 0.7 BTC in the next six months per share. PM me if you are interested.
6227  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER: BitMofo on: March 07, 2013, 05:45:51 AM
It's gambling. SatoshiDICE aren't scammers for not doubling your coins.
6228  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Trade Fortress on: March 07, 2013, 05:44:11 AM
Explain how I'm supposed to pay for something I haven't got an invoice for and with no response from judge.me. In fact I've followed them up on the email and still no response.

Seriously, I'm just going to ignore you if you keep posting BS to stall and want to get 4x of what you paid for without actually going through arbitration.

Let me make this clear:

YOU ARE NOT WAITING ON ME. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING AND I'M NOT GETTING ANY EMAILS BACK FROM PETER-JAN.

YOU ARE WAITING ON JUDGE.ME OR JUDGE.ME IS WAITING ON YOU (or the FBI).

I'm not even going to bother pointing out your colluding / lying messages here, because I'm saving that up for judge.me.
6229  Economy / Securities / Re: MPOE/MPEx has a monster month on: March 07, 2013, 05:36:47 AM
Like what I said in another thread, it's like someone ddosing NYSE's website and saying they hacked the exchange.
6230  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace on: March 07, 2013, 05:35:33 AM
This is definitely the best graph of any bitcoin exchange Cheesy
6231  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: March 07, 2013, 05:31:19 AM
Must have pissed off Anonymous somehow.  Everyone knows that they are responsible for all hacks.

HACK THE PLANET

Its more likely to be Something Awful who hacked it. Because MP was an idiot and challenged them.

Wait, so a DDOS attack is a "hack" now?

Please go to http://mpex.coinbr.com, a web proxy to the MPEx backend, and tell me if it's been "hacked".
It's like someone DDoSING NYSE's website and then claiming they shut down the exchange.
6232  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: March 07, 2013, 02:09:38 AM
Well, no BTC was stolen (unless mp ran away with the coins).

This is just downtime really.
6233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we watching the crash, or watching the crash of 30 minutes ago. on: March 07, 2013, 01:41:28 AM
Canadian exchange (cavirtex) is lag free (obviously having miniscule volume by comparison) and has already rebounded to 39 at the time of this post...

could be a dead-cat bounce.. who knows?
could be? nah, the crash already happened, bitcoin will stay around the $38-$40 mark but greater resistance (finally)
6234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 07, 2013, 01:37:35 AM
Dead cat bounce? No, it's a correction from $32.
6235  Economy / Speculation / Back to $40, what did you expect? Bitcoin is not going to go under $30. on: March 07, 2013, 01:32:58 AM
We had a correction down to $40. While people were busily trolling on OTC on how bitcoins will be worth 1 cent again, the price is now back at $40.

Bitcoin has grown a lot, and we won't have another crash to the extent of the first one again. Just corrections.
6236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 07, 2013, 12:53:34 AM
We just need someone to buy a million to push the price back up again.
6237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we watching the crash, or watching the crash of 30 minutes ago. on: March 07, 2013, 12:48:00 AM
Goxlag is still at an insanely large amount. I think the crash is significantly influenced by the goxlag actually.
6238  Economy / Speculation / Re: panic time on: March 07, 2013, 12:39:55 AM
back at $38

I'm going to be very surprised if we get below $30, this crash is heavily influenced by the goxlag.
6239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 07, 2013, 12:15:40 AM
Last price:$38.30000
6240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 07, 2013, 12:12:20 AM
Hmm, I wonder if MtGox lag influenced the crash. I don't expect it to go lower than $30 through.
