It's really sad that it happened, but people shouldn't be so stupid to store their 'savings' in an online wallet.
I wouldn't call people stupid just because of that... The whole point of inputs.io was SECURITY. Everything about inputs.io revolved around it's security; Second of all, TF said he would cover any loss up to 40 BTC if something would go wrong. Turns out he lied to us about that, too... He lied about the security, and lied about being able to cover any loss up to 40 BTC. People assumed it was safe. They weren't stupid, they have just been f*cked by the owner of the website itself. I think that 40 BTC was for individual issues, not a site wide hack. I would still call someone stupid for storing multiple BTC's on an online wallet, no matter how safe they claim it is. People should understand that offline wallets are savings accounts and online wallets are banking accounts. You should only use an online wallet for small transactions. i agree with you, i would never keep any of my coins on online wallet it is stupid thing to do And you also don't use an exchange like Mt.Gox, i presume? Never played on a bitcoin casino? Well, most people use what exchanges are meant for: transferring cash to BTC or BTC to cash. They don't constantly keep the cash in the exchange. And for casinos? Well, you know the risk of losing money if you gamble, besides that, most people withdraw their winnings (or what's left of their deposits) after they're done gambling. Also, don't forget that exchanges, in most cases, are run by companies with people whpse identities are easy to access, while TF was but a sole, unknown persona. |

There hasn't been any news lately. Seems TF is still active on the forum but hiding away.
He is just busy thinking of a good solution to all this... And destroying websites with false copyright claims. And he's also busy gambling with your money. Honestly, if i had 1.5 million dollars i would probably be spending a lot of time thinking what i'd do with all of it, too... He took down your website because you were using a modified version of his code. He didn't make the code open source, he only allowed the usage, not modification. Besides check the note at http://glados.cc/myfaucet/. Even though he lost the BTC of so many members around here which is not cool  , but he still has full rights to decide whether he lets you modify it in one or another way or whether he doesn't. |

What steps does the Coin app take to prevent cards from being added fraudulently? A. The Coin app requires that you take a picture of the front and back of the card, type in card details, and then swipe the card (using a reader we provide) to ensure the card’s encoded magnetic stripe data matches the card details provided. It is not possible to complete these steps unless you are in physical possession of a card. As an additional safeguard, the Coin app will only allow you to add cards you own. Well, I meant actual physically stolen CCs. For example, a dude leaves his card unattended. The thief takes it, photographs the front, back, types in the details, and swipes it and quickly leaves before he arises too much attention. The card owner comes back and takes a card and happily loads it with even more cash. The only safeguard here is the PIN code which can be bypassed by most services. |

Haha, I am looking for 1 too but I am not willing to pay any bitcoin cause it is going to open beta soon and it is free... So I guess I will wait like everyone does....
