Manchester City lost. Now Liverpool is losing. Let's play Crystal Palace win against Chelsea. Grin

Liverpool can still win the game. It all depends on Jota, Firmino and Salah.
What a surprise the game between Man City and Leeds!
It was a real siege by Guardiola's boys. 29 shots in total with 7 on goal, while Leeds were able to defend virtually every assault and score 2 goals out of 2 shots!
It happens sometimes.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Table games VS slots on: April 10, 2021, 03:26:08 PM
I'd definitely go for table games, mostly because I like the fact that you can play with others which is cool. Playing slots is too impersonal, it's you and the machine, I don't really like it, it's not my cup of tea. Table games give you both the fun and the suspense to get to know who you are playing with also on a psychological level.
 Way better.
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2021, 03:21:03 PM
Set a sell order at $67k just incase... for... reasons. Not that I expect it to shoot up that high, this soon.

Full Disclosure: Reset near-term sell target at $60.5k to take some pressure off. Order is waiting to be executed.

I am OK with this decision.

Off to get coffee and start our day.

bob you must have some serious steel balls as I remember you are fuckin' trading the high since 2017!
I couldn't ever do that!
respect

When will this high power resistance on 60000 USD fall? Feels like an eternity ranging in my humble opinion. Surely we storm the fort in the next week or two.
It's stronger than predicted, I think the altcoin small upside seen recently is preventing that barrier to be crossed again. As soon as the alts crumbles 60k will be in reach.
Weak hands will collapse and smart money will go back to corn.
About time.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: April 09, 2021, 12:39:35 PM
Spot on as always. I read it this way:
As we at HSBC already have our compliance troubles let's not add more shit to the fan as it might fire back again. Let's keep our shady business into the real world as we can't keep up with the virtual one.
Something like it, I think.

Can anyone here point me to relevant info sources about the ongoing developments put in place to transition the crappy ETH there is today towards to new cool Ethereum 2.0 PoS based?
I personally haven't found much but if you have any updates that would be great. I don't follow ETH but I'm quite curious.
647  Bitcoin / Press / 2021-4-9 Bloomberg - Bitcoin is displacing gold as an inflation hedge on: April 09, 2021, 12:33:09 PM
Quote
How to explain bitcoin? As I said a couple of weeks ago, it’s hard to dismiss the digital currency as a classic investment bubble because — unlike any of the other historical manias which have seen similarly extreme gains in price — it has formed a series of bubbles, which have burst and then reinflated. Bubbles aren’t supposed to do this: They are booms grown so large that they cannot gently deflate and must burst, never to return.

Bitcoin has many of the symptoms of a speculative mania, led by the sheer excitement it inspires in its believers. But it’s hard to say what the digital asset’s value should be. Like gold, value is in the eye of the beholder. It has no intrinsic value, and while the same is true of banknotes, it has no government standing behind it.

bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-04-09/bitcoin-is-displacing-gold-as-an-inflation-hedge

Very interesting article IMHO. Bitcoin's performance over the last year is directly aligned with movements in bond yields where whe these last ones rise, so does bitcoin, implying that BTC benefits directly form the "reflation trade" or the belief that inflation is actually coming.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 09, 2021, 12:28:51 PM
Barcelona is at the top now, with a huge winning streak while Atlético is clearly suffering the burden of being first. El Clasico is gonna be like a final for Barça and Real and could send a very big warning alert to the colchoneros. La liga is far from being closed and el clasico will be epic to watch!
I think Barça will prevail because Madrid has an eye on Champions League.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 09, 2021, 12:24:06 PM
I did a research and in Serie A it happened in the past that a team that was leading the standings before the end of the season then lost the title. Juventus Inter (66-67), Juventus Milan (72-73), Lazio Juve (1999-2000),
Juve Roma Inter (2001-2002).
Conte's Inter looks too well equipped to win the title but history tells that everything is possible in Serie A
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 08, 2021, 04:03:20 PM
I was seeing Inter already the champions on the last week.
Inter are not safe because they still need a few more win to make sure the Scudetto is theirs. Meanwhile, Inter are likely to drop point for the rest of the match and I wouldn't be surprised by that. AC Milan and Juventus still have the opportunity to improve their concentration and consistency in each match, but they must hope Inter lose some important point this time around.
Yes, there are at least 9 more matches to go through and there are still 3 matches for Inter against top teams like Napoli, Roma and Juventus. But because Inter will definitely focus only on Serie A, it is like a guarantee that Inter will really win this season, even though there are still matches left. I personally really believe Inter will go through with good results. Therefore, with such a big difference in points, it seems that there is no hope for Milan and Juventus to win the top position.
I have to face the fact and admit that I underestimated Inter and Conte this season. They are gonna win Serie A and focus on the players' market to be able to both keep themselves competitive for the next Serie A and also try to compete at a high level with the big European teams in Champions League.
Will Milan keep the second place, that' what puzzles me now.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 08, 2021, 03:58:57 PM
Yesterday's UCL game was quite interesting and it revealed a lot about both teams. Where we saw a Bayern Munich creating a lot of chances both not having the required finishing as Lewandoski was absent. Bayern dominated most part of the game having over 14 shots and 7 was on target but were able to convert only 2 into goals mean while, PDG on the other hand had only 5 shots of which, 4 was on target and they were able to convert 3 into goals. That's what we call efficiency on the side of PSG. PSG didn't come to dominate but to win the game and they did.
Its high time they focus more on Kylan Mbappe as the star player and keep Neymar Jnr aside. K. Mbappe has always been productive towards the team and has his effects in important games. Neymar too did well yesterday, creating the needed assist that lead to the goals. The PSG team was commendable yesterday but then this means, the PSG team should watch out for an angry Bayern Munich in the returning leg.
Amazing games yesterday, don't you think?
Chelsea showed an absolute supremacy over Porto and the semifinal is only 90' away, I don't see Porto posing a threat to them.
PSG and Mbappé keep on surprising me, even Bayern had to face the fact that PSG is a huge candidate for the title. Next game between the two teams' gonna be epic!

I didn't know that one of the most interesting ways to find an agreement on how to possibly implement a bitcoin upgrade could have been the old fashioned coin toss! Grin
https://www.coindesk.com/final-taproot-activation-specifics-chosen-bitcoin-blockchain-coin-toss
Is that really what happened? Isn't that awesome, uh?
It actually wasn't, the timing was just unfortunate. AJ and I agreed on the method to use, and the PR to close prior to the coin toss. However, it happened to be that I posted my comment with the resolution of that discussion at around the same time the coin toss occurred. Since that resolution was also what the coin toss came up with, it gives the appearance that this was decided by a coin toss, but it really wasn't.
I see, thanks for clarifying. I understand that from a press point of view it is very clickbaity and juicy to use such wording and avoiding to be specific. Shame on them as usual.
Now, whatever the way we should move on, let's get this upgrade on its way.

654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2021, 06:49:25 PM
Champions League is the true goal of Manchester City this season, the one that it's been pursuing for almost a decade and to win CL City's management decided to hire, five years ago, one of the most successful and revolutionary coaches in history.
I don't see Borussia stopping Guardiola's boys! Can't wait to watch the game!

Like I wrote Borussia was not able to win against a fantastic City but they were able to score one goal whcih could be a major threat if we think about the next game in Dortmund.
Tonight I'm about to watch Porto Chelsea and since it looks like a very difficult game for both of the teams I decided not to bet.
If I could make a bet without hurting myself I'd say that Chelsea's gonna win by one goal.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 07, 2021, 06:44:59 PM
Damn, if Inter didn't concede one score to Sassuolo I'd had won a huge bet: I placed two correct scores Inter 2-0 and Juve 2-1!
I was damn close  Embarrassed
I watched the game between Juve and Napoli and it was a very exciting game to watch, Juventus is kind of showing some consistency during the last games and Ronaldo is seemingly replying to his critics by scoring one goal after the other.
Inter, though, is getting very close to the title. Lukaku's being their ace really.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 06, 2021, 04:14:47 PM
The only interesting match to watch for the upcoming Europa League turn is definitely Ajax Roma where I see the Romans being able to to hit the jackpot both playing home and when away in Amsterdam.
The only team that could make it to the final is Manchester United, the others are not good enough to get there.

Yes, super nice victory by the Hammers against Wolves! I supposed they were going to win by one goal which they did eventually! I played a single bet which resulted in big and deserved profit after a long bad streak.
So glad, the international games are over, this week's been very exciting!

In fact, institutions are likely to be more of a stabilizing influence on the bitcoin market than retail traders

Quote from the article!

The headline of this topic is not appropriate here, there isn't anything risky for Bitcoin here! And it's a nice article, it's talking about the money that gets into crypto, new investors, and about some long-term price analysis... which can be accurate, or not... time will tell!

In the end, it's the freedom and free market! Each of us can do whatever we want with our coins, so can big institutions! I will go with the article here and say that "Institutions are in BTC for the long haul"... and maybe the price will be a lot stable one day because it will be hard to push the price down while institutions with their capital can maintain their buying level!

Being honest there are risks related to the fact that, let's put it this way, if GBTC or TSLA or MSTR and the likes lose access to their bitcoin funds, this would reflect on the price short-term (by plummeting) but on the long term not having these coins on the market it could make BTC more valuable.
