If the warranty expires, the replacement parts may be available for purchase.

The controller board is bricked, no chance to connect by Ethernet anymore. BitmainWarranty is only servicing north America. Also BITMAIN gives only three month of warranty.

Build-in PSU can't handle OC... Not Enough Juice Thanx! I'll try it after weekend.  Well, I have just upgraded my S2 with this new FW (paycoin fever...). -100 Gh to hashing speed even with 200 on "advanced" tab... Will try to OC later. p.s. found now that OCing of S2 with this new FW is not so obvious task... Please someone share how to do that...  |

Wire Transfer payment Processing Time varies depends on where you send the money from and if the sending bank has direct wire to the receiving end or it requires intermediary bank then to out of the country. Example, the wire transfer from the major bank that doesn't require intermediary could show up as the same night, or the next business day. While the originating bank that requires intermediary bank to send the international wire may take 3-4 business days before Bitmain receives pending incoming wire notice and 1 additional business day to clear the actual wire. Wire payment should show PAID in your account, as those are manually processed by the international sales team. What's the usual confirmation time on an order getting switched from unpaid to paid after a wire transfer, or does it never update? My recollection from the S1/S2 days is that the website often never gets updated with that kind of thing, but it'd be nice to make sure the transfer made it through.
Since its a manual process it wouldn't hurt to follow up with an e-mail to info@bitmaintech.com with the relevant details.. |

For S4, if the miner powers up, the back light of the small LCD comes on but screen shows blank, highly likely it is the MicroSD card either got loose inside, or data on the microSD card got corrupted. You will find the MicroSD card inside the case, behind the LCD panel and next to the PSU. There is a Black Colored Beagle Bone Black and there is a little MicroSD card slot on it. Lightly push the card and it will pop right out and push it back in. Then please try to power it back on and see if it boots up. If not, you may have to use this software to reimage (Write) the factory default data of S4. You nearly had me there. Had my finger over the buy button but just couldn't do it with the shipping as well. I'd really really like an S5 but just at the current cost/difficulty level plus what I pay for electricity I just can't bring myself to do it. PM sent!!! I have a S4 B1 and S4 B2. The S4 B1 is working great but the new B2 that i got in a couple weeks ago worked great for the first few days now I cant get it to hash more than a couple hours. The box would stop hashing but it would stay on, the fans on with a blank (but lit) LCD screen.
I re-seated the SD card and it worked for about 10 hours and started doing the same thing. It works if I turn the power off and turn it back on, but only hashes for a couple hours.
I got a new SD card and flashed the image from the original SD and that worked for a few hours and then it stopped hashing.
I emailed tech support and they sent me an image that I flashed to the new SD card and the same issue.
This is frustrating! I know it works, I just dont understand why it keeps stopping.
well I thought I had a fix to this but it started happening after 24 hours. I have been in touch with BITMAIN tech support and I am getting frustrated. I have asked for a RMA or a replacement motherboard and power supply to try. I think the hashing blades are OK as I have disconnected them one by one and they hash fine for 30 hours. However, when I connected all 4 of them together the unit stops hashing after a few hours but is still on and I can ping/manage the device via it's IP address. I dont see any "xxxxxxxxx" in the "miner status" screen. I think it is the power supply, i think the load is too much and one time i heard a click when it stopped hashing. I have another S4 but it uses the PCI-E power supply where this new S4 does not, so i can't test that. It hashes fine with just 3 blades hashing, so that is what I have running now for the past few days so I can get some value out of this S4. I hope that BITMAIN helps me on this one. I have not had any major issues with my other S4 or my S3's. I really do like BITMAIN products... |

That still works for S4 and S5 For the best heat dissipation wouldn't it be more efficient to have the fans go bottom to top since the chips are releasing heat at the top?
or simply a large fan blowing air toward the miner-worked great for me in S1. |
