641  Economy / Economics / Re: If Banks make money out of loans then they should reward those who borrow on: January 08, 2024, 11:40:05 AM
~

It is so easy to blame the system than making an effort to squeeze the better out of it that is why OP chose the easy way for not becoming financially successful. I am not a supporter of the banking system either because they are the one fooling the people in the first place but when we need loan there is nowhere to go other than banks which may be hard to accept but that is the fact and banks only help people who qualified in certain criteria not just every poor.

Exactly. I mean, if you are in your right mind. You can always borrow from some gangsters, but you know what is going to happen next, most likely. And you are right, banks don't help people who are just poor. Maybe it's "unfair", I don't know, but it is like it is. OP thinks the rewards to those who borrow from banks must be bigger, well, I used to think the ice cream must be cheaper when I was a kid. Smiley

It makes me question what they protocols are for casinos to handle those situations, If I had to guess, I would assume they would allow people in that state to gamble as much as if they were sober. What do you think?

Even in some movies people under heavy influence of alcohol are asked to leave by staff or the casino owners. I'm sure there are such casinos in real life too because not everyone is a cheater, and allowing people in that state to gamble is very close to cheating, to be honest. I don't mean drunk people are less lucky or something like that, but in that state they are prone to risk more. They can go all-in when the chance of winning is less than 1%, or they go all-in when the chance of winning is 50%, while when you sober you know that you shouldn't go all-in in any case.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: January 07, 2024, 02:04:39 PM
~
Speaking about efficiency then it wont really be that something ideal that you would be doing gambling at work. It would really be affecting your effectiveness in speaking about job performance plus
you would really be putting up yourself on risk on losing your job once that your fellow workers would really be having some complaint then you might be losing  your job
and this is something that we dont really like to happen. For me i dont really gamble at work, there's always the right time on everything on which it would really be just that better that you
should be gambling when you do got home or into your vacant time. Dont risk up your job on something about leisure because its never been worth.

Yep, although some people think that they can earn money regularly through gambling, in fact gambling is about leisure, as you rightly said, and it's very stupid to think that you really can earn some good money from this activity. We earn money from our job and it's not worth it to risk losing your job because of doing something for our entertainment like gambling.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 07, 2024, 11:49:49 AM
Yes, I do have alter ego in gambling. When I gamble I count on Luck more than in real life. I want to win something the chances of which are 0.1% or 0.01 % or maybe even one in a million. That's why we gamble, right? In real life such approach was only possible when I was young. Adults usually don't go on thin ice hoping for the best, and I am trying to act like an adult too.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 07, 2024, 11:02:27 AM
Their terms and conditions are lengthy enough to read which make a user annoying and that's why most of people just  quickly agree with them, don't care what is written in those. But i think people should atleast read or should knowledge the some important thing about that casino like about KYC system, VPN is allowed or not and their policy while withdrawal fund. I use to read such thing. And then i check about blog and YouTube videos if they have any serious negative issue or not. I think such information should be checked before joining any Casino. If everything looks good then its good to go.

I think on scam sites terms and conditions may look perfect, but that doesn't mean you won't be scammed. So, nice looking terms and conditions is definitely not enough for depositing your money and playing on a site. It's only when you are dealing with known and reputable online casino, you turn to reading terms and conditions and see if it's good enough for you.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: January 07, 2024, 10:31:27 AM
Yeah, I mean, when we see a new slot do we go to info section first? Who does that? It's good if we go there after several days of playing, but go there right away? And also it has made the way we forget about what was there in the info section in a minute. Our brain is wired to feel optimistic when some jars are getting fuller and fuller. We expect it's not for nothing.
I do it, especially for a completely new slot, I mean not just a re-themed slot.
Info section is important for me to know the basic thing of the new games such as payout, RTP, max win, and other features.
Once I read the info section and I think that the new slot is not something that I like, I will not play it.

That's what I should be doing as well, I think. The thing is that I enjoy the uncertainty when it comes to playing slots. So, in some cases I think I will be playing without looking at info section still. Smiley

~

This made me think of reading the manual when you buy something new  Grin

Some people will never read any manual whereas others won't even touch the new thing before reading it fully.

I guess it depends on the person.

Yeah, as I said above, uncertainty may be interesting. But not when you bought a new microwave oven. Then you don't need surprises, do you? Smiley

~

What a nice win! Congrats, @panjul07@!
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: January 06, 2024, 02:58:25 PM
I am not a gambler but I prefer to bet on some teams that I support as a supporter. For example Argentina for Football. And since I am not a professional gambler I prefer to make a bet before starting the game for actually doing some fun.

But for professional gamblers, I think it's better to bet after starting the game and based on the situation.

No, no, you are doing it right, mate. There are some drawbacks of betting on live games. Like when it's easy to predict the win of a team then bets are either not accepted or the multiplier you get is around 1.01. Like, how much you have to bet in order to win something decent? $2,000 to win around $20? It's not funny, it's stressful, right?
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: January 06, 2024, 02:27:10 PM
I have watches some casino streamers in the past, and the only thing I have learned from them - always stay calm and human. I've seen various reactions on big losses or wins. I've seen rage, people crying, going nuts, trying to find peace alcohol. I've seen casino streamers humiliate others or people were ready to do something low only to get money from streamers. Maybe this was all done on purpose, to get more hype and attention to casino. But they have influenced on me in a way "I dont want to be like them".

Of course it was all done on purpose! They are popular streamers and they know what they are doing, they know their audience. I just want to add that not only I don't want to be like them, but most importantly is that I can't. I don't have millions following me whatever I do, and then to make my life easier I decide "I don't want to be a popular influencer". But do I want to win like them?

Do I want to feel like this guy at least once? I certainly do.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: January 06, 2024, 01:49:57 PM
~
Negative thoughts are often demonized by psychologists, however if they were not useful we will not have them, and often the ones that begin to show some problematic behaviors of any kind are the ones that fail to see the possible and even likely negative consequences of their actions, and this has been corroborated on the past, as people that commit crimes often only think on the good things they will obtain from their actions, but they never think about the possibility of getting caught and the effects that event will have on their lives.

I like how you put it. Indeed, the positive impact of negative thoughts is highly underestimated. If people were not so confident, we wouldn't have so many irresponsible gamblers around.
We also have a lot of examples about this on the market with all the newbies that invest on shitcoins, for us that can see the negative consequences of investing in those coins and how likely this outcome can be, there is no way that we will take the risk of investing in those coins, but newbies try to fake it till they make it, and invest in those coins only thinking about the benefits they can obtain, and it never crosses their minds the possibility they can lose their money and are totally surprised when that happens.

Yes, trading is gambling in a way, for most "traders" anyway, ad investing sh*tcoins is similar to irresponsible gambling, especially if a lot is invested. Overall, irresponsible gambling(and trading) is not when you make wrong bets, but rather when you a lot of money on the unknown outcome.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: January 06, 2024, 01:29:26 PM
~snip~
It's not rare that gambling addicts have more of the "experience" than gambling regulars. What thye need is just sit and calculate how much they've lost over the years. And I'm not taking only about the money, but time also.
You are right. Gambling addicts often have more experience than other gamblers. That's because they gamble more often, whether they win or lose, but it's the experience they gain. And if we can learn from gambling addicts, we can avoid what we should avoid so that we don't become addicted to gambling too. We are responsible for ourselves, so we must be able to gamble moderately and avoid losing. That's all, even though in reality it will be different. And it is true that we lose not only money but also valuable time that we should be able to do other things, but instead, we use it for gambling.

That's right! As one wise man once said, smart people learn from their mistakes, but really smart ones learn from the mistakes of others. Can we learn from the mistakes of others all the time? No, it's impossible. We are not superhuman beings, we are just humans. And mostly we learn from our own mistakes, but in some cases, and gambling addiction is one of them, we simply can't afford the hard way of learning.

@Betwrong BTW I just got my first GT from WoF spin this week. Count me in for the lambo race, lol.

~

Congrats, mate! Now you are officially in the race.

I already have two tickets, and each step like this

not only gives me 50 sats, but brings me closer to the third ticket. Smiley

But of course if we are not talking about hundreds of thousands, it doesn't matter much how many tickets you have. It's all about luck provided you have more than zero tickets.

@Betwrong I would like to add that one should not just find time for wagering but they should also find the time for researching on what or whom to wager because even if these bets are free one can still earn decent if wagered correctly. Furthermore Sportsbet also adds a personal touch and it’s no wonder why so many user’s play here on a loop and that I feel is a big reason why they’re so successful.

I absolutely agree with you. If you just pick nice odds and hope to win a nice amount, like I did recently, you are very likely just going to lose your free bet.

But you can earn a decent amount of money if you spend some time on researching and then wager correctly, as you said. You still need a bit of luck to win your bet, but just a bit, it's not like your desired outcome is totally depending on luck like in the first case. So, I did my research and the results were great:

Thank you for this amazing opportunity, Sportsbet.io, to start 2024 this good!
653  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: January 03, 2024, 12:57:11 PM
352x of your bet, what a win, mate, congrats!
But, as I can see, it's only second spin from your 10 free spins. What was the win in total? I mean, you couldn't lose anything on the remaining free spins, could you? Smiley

The last 8 spin resulted to dead spin that’s I didn’t add it on screenshot here. Honestly, I thought I can hit the max win because I have an early big win and typically max win behaves like this when I’m watching streamers video hitting max win. I withdraw my funds immediately after this bonus round because I was afraid to become greedy because my expectation on hitting max win didn’t come true. Cheesy

I will try again next week after new year. Been busy lately due to holidays. What slot game you are playing right now?

Oh, I see, well, I wish you to win big in the beginning of 2024!

Regarding the slot game I'm playing right now, it's Bitcasino Billion, my favourite slot of all time. I just won 26x of my bet

but, I tell you what, for this game it's nothing. It can easily give you more than a 100x of your bet, like a piece of cake. What you need is internet connection, a bit of Good Luck and Bitcasino, of course. Smiley

Yeah you had a good time there with your high-risk multiple-game selections, you are still lucky to have won the bets with an amount of $1 staking to win such an amount.

Thank you! Normally if I bet with high odds it's below $0.50 my bet is, but it was for the Perfect 10 contest, and you should make a bet of $1 minimum, with odds 10.00 or above and with betting on minimum 10 outcomes. And after selecting 10 games I saw that my odds where unnecessary above 50.00, and I thought "Ah, f*ck it, I'll leave it like that!" And I won. Smiley I lost my bets with the odds like 12.00 and 15.00, but I won with 54.46. Smiley

I was not that lucky in my last night bet,  although my staked amount was bigger than yours which is the reason why I am so unhappy with the outcome of the bet since it didn't go in my favour after all the trials and risk,   but in your own case goi won your bet so congratulations for that and also looking forward to my lucky day again anytime soon.

Win big anytime soon, mate! I sincerely wish you that.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: January 03, 2024, 10:39:47 AM

Thx, it`s just bets for fun. If i won enough this day/week - i can make several multibets with small sums - $5-$20. It is exciting to spend some money with small chances. I don`t get lots of emotions from standard bets - it is easy enough as for me(but need time and attention) and multibets helps to get positive emotion, even from losing Smiley
PS. Free bets i spend with multiplier higher than 100, but always lose Smiley

Yes, so true. These multibets with multiplier above 100x and even 200x are fun even when you lose. The lost amount is below $0.50 usually, so, no big deal. Sometimes I try to bet with 1,000.00 odds, but so far same as you I always lose. Someone who often wins with such big odds could call gambling a major income, and I'm sure there such people, but I'm not among them. Smiley
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: January 02, 2024, 02:45:44 PM
~

Though, we must be aware that gambling and hard drugs are not supposed to be handled or liberalized in the same way, because even though both of them can develop addictions in any person, they cause different kinds of dependence on those who partake in their consumption.
Anyone of us can gamble for some time and lose some money, move on without life without chasing losses and we will be fine as if nothing has occurred, at the best we could say we learnt a lesson from lossing some bucks the the casino and not running behind those bucks.
On the other hand, drugs like cocaine and crack are a different story, consuming the minimum doses to get high and even only once can trigger a powerful addiction on anyone.

One thing is try to trick someone to gamble when they are not completely sure it is okey, but tricking someone to do the same with drugs, it quickly elevates the gravity of the situation and possible crime committed. I think it would be matter of time before someone started to spike other's drinks with that garbage.

I absolutely agree with you, my friend. Hard drugs and gambling must not be in the same category with respect to the potential harm they may cause. Imagine two blokes meet, one is a hard drugs addict and another one is a coder. And the latter says: "Man, why are doing that to yourself?" And the drug addict replies: "Well, I heard you gamble. Don't be the pot calling the kettle black, you know". I mean, c'mon!
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: January 02, 2024, 01:52:55 PM

I would argue with that. In sports betting you can't win big without risking, or, in other words, without counting on good luck too. If you bet on team that is most likely going to win your odds will be like 1.1 or 1.05 even. You'll never win big, even if you are right and your bet is as high as $200. And we all know that you can lose with 99% win chance because of bad luck.

You're not wrong though, but the context of my post was based on comparing sports betting with other forms of betting. However I understand your point, gambling as a whole requires lock, but chances of winning is on the higher side in sport betting, since you also make use of your own personal knowledge on the teams you are betting for. I have also seen cases where even the 1.1 odd games end up drawing or Lossing to their opponent. So in gambling any thing is possible.

So, we can conclude that gambling is about luck, most of the time. Can I say that great poker professionals like Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu and Liv Boeree have won their millions only because of luck? No. But that luck has played a big part in all that, yes, I think so. And in my opinion sports betting requires more luck than poker, but maybe it's my own opinion.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 02, 2024, 01:05:36 PM
Sometimes, what you see is not what you get. You can never judge a person just by mere seeing his physical looks. You can't criticize him  being mentally unstable just because he wears dirty and stinky clothes. Except if he does crime or illicit activities near or inside the betting shop, then he should be banned and not allowed to bet.

Everyone is free to gamble and chose their desired bets regardless of his physical or mental condition. As long as he knows how to control it and is able to gamble without breaking the rules, then he should be welcome to gamble.

What? No! Mental condition is a serious issue and as well as we don't allow kids to drink alcohol and smoke we shouldn't allow mentally unstable people to gamble. How can they "know how to control it", what are you talking about? Only adults in their right mind should be allowed to gamble, there can't be two opinions about it.

660  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: January 02, 2024, 11:06:19 AM
Our initial cut-off date for refund requests was 30 days.

However, based on community feedback, we have decided to extend it for a few more days until January 1st.
After this date, we will no longer process or respond to emails related to the refund request.
This has been a challenging process, but fortunately, we worked it out successfully.

Payments were scheduled to be made in batches, but to avoid confusion and other related issues, we have decided to process everything in one go.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Well, that's definitely a good news we hear from @betnomi before the New Year!

I can't imagine how difficult it might be to sort everything out, but the good news is that they worked it out successfully.

Kudos to Betnomi and Happy New Year!
