I didn't expect such a bad result for Beşiktaş, I thought they would score at least one goal, but they didn't almost even manage to make position for that. Brugge almost converted half of their shots into goals and our guys didn't score.

The Europa conference league is also a major league for some clubs, they're ready to fight to very end for the purpose to ensure they scratch the surfaces of the league. In group E ,the game between Liverpool and LASK, the first half ended in Favour of Liverpool where Luis Diaz scored the account opening goal for Liverpool. Mohammed Salah needs to step up his game in the front, I didn't see that flexibility in him in the first half and I hope he performance in this second half and to get a bit spicey in his touches with the ball . Liverpool had opportunities to score more goals in the first half but they failed, the team generally should bring in more strength and do better in this second half.
Liverpool is already leading with 3 goals to 0 vs Lask and they are topping the group E table since Toulouse result in the other game is a 0 - 0 draw vs Union Saint-Gilloise. If the final results will be the same then Liverpool will be the first regardless of the 6th and final round. Belgium had a whole golden generation (which is about to end or has already ended, according to the KDB), but they did not win anything at all. A lot is decided by randomness and if tomorrow Germany wins gold they will begin to praise it to the skies even though it will be the same team as today.
Not an apple-to-apple comparison. Greece might have win the Euro Cup in the past. But they never managed to get to the top-5 list in FIFA rankings. The peak they reached was when they were ranked #8 in 2008. On the other hand, Germany was always regarded as one of the powerhouses in football along with England and France in Europe. Even as late as 2018, they were the no.1 ranked team as per FIFA. From that position, their rapid downfall has been nothing short of unbelievable. And currently they are not even in top-10 (current rank is #16 as per FIFA). Germany has seen its best players retiring too and the new generation needs a bit of time to be able to compete with the other nations. Same goes for Italy and Spain. The only difference is that Spain was able to recover its form fast while Italy and Germany need more time. The regeneration phase is longer in these nations. Belgium was classed first mainly because of the players they had but they weren't so impressive in picking a World Cup for example. What a great performance from Arsenal today. They have really been impressive this season. With the success of Arsenal today, they have automatically qualified for the next round if the competition. Funny how I look at the team and how they play, I see boys who have missed the excitement of the UCL and are ready to win the league. After Bayern Munich, Arsenal have had the highest UCL goals in a single game.
Man City should be ready because they have a big rival both in the UCL and EPL. If they do not take extreme precaution and observation they may lose one of the league to Arsenal, if not both of them.
Gunners knocked poor Lens by 6 goals to 0, five of these goals were scored in the first half and to be more precise four goals were scored in fifteen minutes making them qualify easily in the first position before the last round. Sevilla is almost out and they have to win good vs Lens in order to get a spot for Europa League this time.. The other hard games that will be played in the last round is between group A team since the 3 teams are fighting for the second spot. We can exclude Manchester United since they will face Bayern Munich. It is mostly likely Galatasaray which are favourite to pass. |

Ajax are clearly done when it comes to making it to last 16 round. Fighting for the Europa Conference League would be a more realistic target for them at this moment. But even about that target I'm not so hopeful about them honestly. Because they are just playing horrible which led them not being able to win a single game in the group so far.
Against neither Marseille nor AEK I expect Ajax to be the winner. The thing I would expect them to do the most is to collect 2 points from these games. This wouldn't be enough for the Europa Conference League as well.
Ajax Amsterdam started the season horribly with a lot of defeats and points losses then they woke up a little but they still didn't recover yet and it is unlikely to get to their good form any time soon. I don't expect much from them against Marseille especially when facing them away even though Marseille isn't in its best form either.. To be honest, Leipzig messed up today's match versus Manchester City because, based on my impression of Leipzig's first-half performance—which showed that they were playing well—I was unaware that Manchester City would end up winning. Although many believe Manchester City will prevail I firmly disagree it, and is still possible. I don't how Leipzig find the match challenging in the second half and then at the end of match Manchester City go with three points.
Manchester City was expected to win and when the result was 2 goals ahead for Leipzig, I assumed most people were hopeless from the second goal of Leipzig to the beginning of the second half when the first goal of Manchester City was scored by Haaland. A challenging game and a dropping of performance cost Leipzig 3 points.. Leipzig will stay in the second place anyway and the third one will be for Manchester City |

There is a quite interesting game next week which is between Leverkusen and Dortmund. Leverkusen are the hosting team and they are quite the favourite @1.67 as well. There is nothing to be surprised of here of course. Everything is very clear in the standings now. Leverkusen are way better than their opponent this season. They are even a little better than Bayern Munich.
I don't feel like this is the game in which Xabi Alonso and his players lose points. I remember that Leverkusen lost to them by 2-0 in the previous season and Xabi Alonso was managing the team. But this time is much more different. Leverkusen have progressed a lot. I think they will win too.

I had doubts about this Lyon - Lille match also. Because I thought maybe that win over Rennes would fire up Lyon players a little bit to get at least one point. But Lille finished the match in the first half already unlike my expectation.  Lille is expected to win although they were playing away. Lyon is very weak this season and even though they woke up a bit and collected 4 points in the previous two rounds, they ended up losing and they will continue to lose probably vs Lens next and Marseille later. They have to win vs Toulouse before losing vs Monaco in the games following the previous ones. It is a hard situation they are dealing with and relegation probability will remain high if they will not improve the team.. |
