641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No scam sportsbooks on: October 21, 2023, 09:54:06 PM
Does anyone know any bookmakers with a wide line that are not scams, it doesn?t matter whether it?s a crypto bookmaker or a regular bookmaker like bet365 alternative  ?
There’s a lot of sportsbooks today that offers real services and you can follow most of the suggestion here, what you can do is to try it and look for what’s best for you since you might find some site not ok to you even if its one of the most recommended site here. You can try stake, rollbit and sportsbet they are the casino leader when it comes to sports betting, analyze it and of course understand their terms before trying.

If the OP just browses through the ANN threads of the gambling section, he could easily find some of the good and trusted sportsbooks and he would not need to create this thread, but the important thing is that he gives a bit of his time going through each of the feedback of different sportsbooks and casino sites and try the one he finds best for himself.

This search is different from Google where he may also google the sportsbook, but there is no guarantee that Google displays scam sportsbooks too as the ranking on Google is mostly based on SEO and they do not have information about the trusted or scam sites being displayed in the search results.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 09:00:47 PM

Will you go ahead and provide them all they require from you for account verification, so they can process your withdrawal request, or will you willingly forfeit such amount of money back to the casino on the account that your private information is more expensive than that amount of money you have own from them?

I love to read your thoughts on this.

If I win 70,000 and KYC is required before I withdraw the money, it depends on how much I'm allowed to withdraw if it is by installment.

So there is three scenerios for this, if the withdrawal is substantial then I will render my identity as KYC.

If the withdrawal is in full or unlimited then I will not hesitate even as I can abandon the casino after withdrawal if I can be sure they are shady

Then lastly, I won't do the KYC if the money to be allowed to withdraw is very poor.

Are you talking about 70,000$ ? I don't think any site will let you withdraw this amount with the KYC. In most cases, the newly built casino may never approve your KYC when they come to know that you have 70,000$ amount in your account that you want to withdraw after successful KYC.

I don't think anyone will leave this amount with the gambling site and not opt for the KYC. For most people, money is more important than their KYC documents.

By the way, even if you abandon the shady casino after doing the KYC, the casino will keep your KYC data even if you close your account.
643  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are chances of fraud very high on Binance P2P transactions ? on: October 20, 2023, 08:41:32 PM
I have heard that some scammers are making fake accounts on Binance for P2P and using hacked bank accounts for transfer. If we deal with them for P2P deals, our bank accounts can also get feezed. Have you ever faced this problem on Binance ? How can we reduce the chances of getting affected by this ?

Hacked bank accounts ? How ? If anyone has hacked a bank account, he would rather withdraw the money rather than spending it slowly to pay for the P2P deals. Wouldn't the original owner get notified that a transaction is made from his bank account without his knowledge Huh

Anyways. in case this happen in some part of the world, it is better to deal with verified merchants. You may find non-verified merchants rates a bit more attractive, but it is not worth taking the risk.

One more thing which i personally follow is that do not make a single big P2P deal. If you want to have a transaction of 1000 dollars (example) better do it in parts so that your capital is less exposed to risk in case any mishap happens.

644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signature campaign Vs review campaign on: October 20, 2023, 08:05:19 PM
A review campaign serves a different purpose. It's mainly about getting feedback on the product and improving its functionality and user-friendliness.

Well, a review campaign may help the project to enhance its functionality and remove any bugs found but I also think that review campaigns on bitcointalk help the ordinary end user like us to understand the project and decide whether to use it or not, based upon the opinions of people who review the service/product.
Sometimes these reviews also help as an in-depth tutorial on how to use the service and the pros and cons associated with it. If I wanted to use any product and it has a review campaign, I will always go through it before actually using the product.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: October 20, 2023, 07:43:02 PM
It was a great surprised to me this morning seeing the market price increasing above $29k that made me to asked this question, if it's real for bull market to happen in this month of October or is just a temptation that will make people to release their BTC to the market before the massive bull will take place.

Does it really matter if the price reaches 29-30K and we see over 35K next week? Will this mean that the bull run has begun, and we cannot now go straight up towards the all time high ?

In case the price of Bitcoin dumps again from 29K, does it mean that there is no bull run? Both of these theories are wrong because a bull market is not something that we shall never dump and the prices can go in a straight upward direction. We can reach 40K and then again dump to 30K, will this mean that we are in a bear market?

I think that we have seen the bear market bottom at 15800-16K and now we are in a bull market since then. Yes, there will be corrections all the way, so we should be ready for the pump and dump of the bitcoin price.
646  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are blockchain explorer threat to the privacy ? on: October 20, 2023, 04:46:55 PM
Wow these so called "Block Chain Analysis" companies has so much time to watch my IP addresses, link my bitcoins to my IP and then what ?
Even though i do not have much bitcoins, but even i have, they can't get my bitcoins.
Don't forget the name of your thread. You asked if blockchain explorers are a privacy threat but what you are talking about here is a matter of the security of your coins. Their job is to gather information and sell and share this information with anyone willing to pay for it. That someone could be a government agency who might be looking for data on their citizens. After that, you could be asked why you haven't declared you own those coins or paid your taxes, etc., etc. If Bitcoin is illegal in your country, there is more trouble for you.

I guess we are thinking too far that the governments (where the bitcoin is illegal) will track those users who are searching the block explores and then relate those BTC belonging to them and ask them to give justifications. Doesn't look like it is enough evidence with the government agencies to prove that we are the owners of those addresses.

They will rather have a crackdown on the P2P exchangers operating in the country and through them try to figure out who exchange bitcoin to fiat and vice versa and ask them to come in the court of law for explanation of these transactions.

648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 19, 2023, 09:16:16 PM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.

That's how gambling works, and your friend is ought to have known that gambling is just like a double edge sword, whereby you could win or lose, and whichever comes your way, accept it in good faith, because he is not the only one who have lost a bet due to cut-one, I have, and I also know how sad it feels to have won all games, but just only to lose the last game, of which that very act enough to had paralyzed some individuals, who might have already calculated how they will spend that money when you cash-out. But unfortunately, ended sad, which reminds me of a popular saying that "Gambling is not a game for the weak, but strong".
I few time that i made such mistakes of putting some hope in my bets to make something good, it all ended in regret and bad feelings because I lost both games at separate times so since then I become more conscious of my actions and I never rely on or put faith in any bet, no matter how sure those games are but also I know that gambling is not a source of income and should be done just for fun, but this days allot of gamblers now rely on gambling most especially on sports bets to make daily ends needs.
Making bets on multiple games only increases the risk of the gambler since the risk becomes higher with multiple games selection compared to when you only pick a single game and make a bet on that one games.

We should never hope or think that we can win any gambling game or bet with 100% confidence as nothing is in our control. Its all about luck and no one knows what will be the outcome of every game we play.

To keep you happy and satisfied. i always say to myself that my next bet will fail. This makes me mentally prepare for the loss which may happen if I lose the bet. And in case, I win the bet, then it brings immense happiness because i never thought I would win and all this winning amount seems to be a welcome bonus for me.  Smiley

We just need to change our approach to how we look at gambling. The results will still be the same, not in our control but we can adjust our mindset with different strategies so that at the end of the day, we do not get down by the losses and we do not face any mental issues.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 19, 2023, 08:54:35 PM
I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans. Then, as a child, we weren't exposed to gambling. I could only remember of lotto, as a kid. But we still said things like "let's bet it"

This is just a common behavior of children or school going kids, where in an argument they say that whoever is wrong, will give a treat or something like this. I would not call it gambling. This may be an instant reaction of the kids that in order to prove themselves right, they opt to put a monetary element so whoever is proved wrong will give the other child the money.

The real gambling is making an account of a gambling site, playing casino games and doing sports betting is something which is learned by kids through adults and this is in no way being built into the children. If it was a natural thing, everyone would be gambling but there are many people who never gamble at all.
650  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Consolidating UTXOs in wallets. on: October 19, 2023, 07:55:35 PM
Am I the only one who uses coin control as the default option? Whenever I want to make a payment, I start by selecting the UTXOs I wish to spend. There are lots of reasons you should do this over automatic selection. Privacy is the biggest one, as has been discussed already.

If you ask me, then I was not using the coin control until I knew about it. Even i may sometimes not use it for privacy reasons but it feels good to have full control over sending our coins from whichever UTXOs and it just creates a feeling that we know the most features than an ordinary Bitcoin wallet user. As i always check the mempool fee and manually select the fee, I will also manually select the address from which I will be sending the bitcoins.

Sometimes, you use the feature because you want to use it as it feels good to use it. I know most people won't understand or agree to me, but this is how I feel. Only bitcoin lovers can understand this feeling  Wink
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 19, 2023, 03:08:07 PM
Everyone has different motivations when gambling, sometimes there are those who hope to get a big win and there are also those who consider it as entertainment. For those gamblers who hope to get a big win or jackpot, they usually hope that the win can restore the money they have lost because of the loss. so they continue to continue the game to get it motivated.

The most common motivation for the gamblers is money. Is there any other motivation other than money, I don't think so. Gamblers see that there are people who have won life changing income from gambling, and this motivates them to gamble in the hope of earning a jackpot. However, not all gamblers will be that lucky and most of them will lose, instead of winning.

But for those who only consider it as entertainment, even though they lose, they usually continue playing at certain times just looking for entertainment and having fun, so there is no motivation for that, they just gamble as usual and consider winning to be just a bonus and losing as just something normal. like paying for entertainment. There is no need to be strange about losing because the dealer will always win depending on how we gamble with different motivations.  Grin

There are very few gamblers, who gamble for fun only. I think only those who are rich and have a lot of money, only they take gambling as a fun only and may not care if they lose or win. Otherwise, most of the gamblers are very much concerned that they do not lose big money.
652  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 19, 2023, 01:08:16 AM
<snip>
There have been a lot of discussions about this, but I still wonder if you attract a lot of people (or a new audience) with posting these giveaways on Twitter/Telegram? They are dominated by bots and you need to be extremely quick and lucky to win a small prize. You will get views as everybody loves free stuff but I doubt it is really effective.
Certainly, despite the presence of numerous bots aiming for promo codes, this marketing approach can still generate a "buzz" and excitement, which are essential for reaching new audiences. Additionally, to the best of my knowledge, casinos can target specific demographics that align with their preferences. Is this feature available on Twitter?

Since there are a lot of bots active on Twitter or telegram, does this mean that we should not use these big platforms for our promotions? This is not the right approach. Marketing on these platforms can bring new gamblers to the site and it is worth having a presence on those platforms.

When announcing giveaways there, the sites can take measures that the bot participation becomes minimized. There can be a number of steps taken which will involve human interaction, in order to avail of the bonuses. If a gambling site, such as Roobet has enough budget, should not leave any platform untouched and have its promotions on every social media platform.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🐸P2E GAMES ON GOOGLE PLAY? - FAST & EASY DEVELOPMENT 🐸 🛸 on: October 17, 2023, 02:37:13 AM
I dont know if P2E would really be still relevant as of today which considering that you would really be still needing that huge capital or investment you would be
needing to put up before you could earn some peanuts then i doubt that this one would really be getting some attention.
Im seeing those NFT monkeys on the image shown above. Are those part in real game or not?

It's not only about the initial capital, we have seen that the Play 2 Earn model was a complete failure with the most popular game Axie Infinity. These games may be profitable for the players in the short term but in the long run, they find it hard to remain profitable.

We do not know if the Play to Earn model may become popular again once again when we are in the bull market (as most projects and hypes are created during that time) but it will be short lived. People who have been lost capital in Axie game may never be willing to invest in other P2E games.

Yeah, but you should check GEO in what countries was popular P2E gaming: the Philippines lost the most agree, but there are numerous upcoming P2E games of AAA level upcoming on a market and top tier studios are creating web3 gaming department like sony, so Japan will be involved in a crypto rally for the next run and I think it's still not a big market. Philippine economy is small enough.

I am not saying that play to earn model is dead, rather this needs to be transformed into a better algorithm which may bring long lasting benefits for the players involved.
No doubt the potential for P2E is enormous but the trust for the games needs to be revived so that players globally can join this model. If some of the top tier companies like Sony Ventures jump into Web 3 gaming, it will give an enormous boost to the industry.  We may see exciting developments ahead as there are a lot of opportunities for growth in this market. The Play to Earn model needs to be evolved on a global scale.

654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 16, 2023, 03:16:27 PM
Sri Lanka really now down and out, they have lost 9 wickets for just 206 runs. It wont be easy to defend such a small target against Aussies. Apart from openers only Charith Asalanka was able to score 23 runs rest all batters couldn't make it to double figure. This collapse is very similar to what happens with Pakistan in there last game against India. For me the game is very much in Australia favor.
Wao what a dramatic collapse of sirilankan batting order especially after dismissal of thier top order, they way they start the inning I taught they will easily scored above 300 because thier opening scored 100+ partnership but later things got changed rapidly in blink of eye Grin, Thier in-form player K.Mendis unable to support his team at crutical situation and his dismissal become the turning point because he can be the only player to changed the total board numbers.
Anyway they scored 209 which will be any easy target but if they come out of his previous defeat shadow. Hope after this match Australia will comback stronger

The match between Sri Lanka and Australia was delayed because of the DLS method, but now the match is starting again. Sri Lanka gave a very low target so Australia should win this match because the Australian team has the last position on the point table and this is a good opportunity to come back, I know that Australia will take advantage of this opportunity.

The first over in the Australian innings just ended and they did 15 scores in a single over, so it means Australia wants to win this match. In today’s match, we saw that Australia improved their bowling and batting because, in past matches, they always lost because of these two departments.

Australia started the game well but now three wickets have fallen.  Which basically the batsmen are out of the field because they didn't collect many runs only the opening batsman Mitchell Marsh collected 52 runs. However, Sri Lanka is also performing well in terms of bowling. But the main point is that the Sri Lankan team set a target of 209 runs which is a small challenge for the Australian team. But if the Australian team can play patiently till the end of the match then there is definitely a chance of winning. At the moment, only 115 runs are needed for the Australian team to win.

Australia has to keep their wickets in hand and they will win the match from here on in. The target is not so big but since they have already lost the first two matches, I hope there is no more drama in this match. They now need 83 runs and almost 25 overs still left in the match.

Also, I think the Australian dressing room will wish to finish the game as early as possible, as only then they will get a better run rate and we never know that run rate might play a big part when selecting the fourth position team for the playoffs.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 16, 2023, 05:27:27 AM
There is an addiction that is chronic that whether you have time or not you will find a way of gambling irrespective of having activities or work that don't allow you time to gamble. There are some gamblers despite that they are offline gamblers, they book out the games they want to play and send it through someone to bet it for them when they are busy and can't visit the gambling house. Addiction varies and that is the difference. Quiting is good and important but it takes extra effort and support.

I think we do not go into the root cause of the issue. The question is why do gamblers keep pushing for playing more? Is this their own will or there is some additional pressure in the back of their mind that they have to make money and feed their near and dear ones from this gambling money?

I agree that only addiction can be the cause of this over playing but in the end, doesn't the money matter? All the gamblers who are addicted only because they want to make more and more money. We only know this but no one tries to find out if they are making this money for themselves or if they are forced by their loved ones (their family, wife, children, brothers, sisters) to get more money for them, no matter how they get it.

Betting Odds

England - 1.49
Afghanistan - 6.89

The match is a one sided affair. I don't think Afghanistan has a chance to win today. What do you guys think?

Everyone thought that England would win this match but look what Afghanistan has done in this match. There are only 2 wickets away to win this match against the mighty England team. Also, I can imagine the joy for those who bet on Afghanistan today before the gamble play and will enjoy the 6+ odds return.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman took three wickets today while Mohammad Nabi took two wickets. The bowling department of Afghanistan was right on the spot for them.

Adil Rashid and Mark Wood are showing some resistance at the 8th wicket for England but it is only a matter of time before they may lose another wicket and the game will be all over for them.

Thanks for the answer guys. But, I am afraid I am still not satisfied because we are in one local thread. Please read it again, it's not a local board where we could have several sub boards to discuss different things. We have only one thread where we discuss everything. So, why this post should be considered off-topic and other political, sports, and many more not considered off-topic?

If you say the quality is not up to the mark, I am okay with it. Maybe I should improve my writing. But, why a off-topic post would get deleted from a local thread where we do not have different section to discuss particular things?

If you have one local thread, then you can discuss anything there and there is no concept of "Off-Topic" in that local thread. But the posts can still be deleted because of two reasons.

1) Maybe the post was of low value and the moderator deleted it. Or someone may have reported the post and the moderator evaluated it, agreed to it that was a spam post and deleted it.

2) As I see that বাংলাদেশ (Bengali) is a Self-moderated thread, which means that anytime the OP of that thread can delete any post in that thread.

Afghanistan's middle order has been a problem for them in the last few games. Today, again they played ordinary cricket. Rashid is looking good, and he might score a few odd runs, but this will not be enough to put Afghanistan in a leading position. The game will depend on the AFG spinners, how they will be used on this pitch and how well they bowl today. England will win the game comfortably.

I think that the game is all over for the Afghanistan team unless we see some spin magic from the Afghanistan Spinners. Rashid Khan and other spinners need to get some quick wickets today. After having a more than 100 runs partnership for the opening pair, the rest of the Afghanistan batting collapsed badly and they were all out at 284 runs. Ikram Alikhil played a knock of 50 odds runs later in the innings but I think that Afghanistan are 50-70 runs short.

Yesterday we saw Pakistan's batting collapse against India and now we see the same with Afghanistan. I don't know if it is the pressure to make 350+ runs on these wickets which causes panic in the first innings and sides losing wickets and ending up getting way too low scores.
