641  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 14, 2019, 03:21:55 PM
You need to remember that Libra is not supposed to be a speculative investment asset (similar to Bitcoin). It is a stablecoin with a fixed exchange value and therefore not suitable for investment purposes. It can be used as a currency (for making payments) or as a store of value. But Libra is not suitable for making investments. And that is the main difference between Libra and Bitcoin.
The only attraction i see in Libra is that it is a stable coin and we will have a fixed exchange value and it is suitable for all the traders who are looking for a stable coins that can be trusted, everyone is using the coins that are available in the market right now but the risk is higher and if there is a stable currency from a reputed bank or a company then i can trust then i holding my earnings in that stable coin rather than converting that to fiat currency and that is an advantage you have as a trader. Whether they will fulfill those is yet to be seen as it is difficult to get it regulated.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what will happen if the ethereum price decline continues? on: November 14, 2019, 02:49:30 PM
Nothing happens op because first of all . The decline has a limitation   .  It can't just decline forever  but declines can be a good and bad depending on the persons view .
That is an optimistic point of view that the price wont decline to a certain point but consider one thing, anything that has a valuation need to have a real world application to have an valuation and if that is not fulfilled then the market will drop down to zero and i doubt whether it can survive the next ten years because of the use case situation.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 13, 2019, 05:19:44 PM
since the tournaments are conducted in India i know it is still not safe in Afghanistan and hence asking these.
Afghanistan has stadiums but they are playing these international matches outside their home country because of security reasons, i was not aware if their cricket structure unless i see response from Vishnu.Reang.

The domestic cricket structure in Afghanistan is quite strong. At the bottom tier, there are more than 300 cricket clubs, spread out all over the country. Apart from a few provinces, all the others take part in the Inter-Provincial Tournament. And similar to Duleep Trophy of India, they have an inter-regional tournament, in which five regions take part.
If they are having 300 cricket clubs is it hard to find some good batsman among these players, they lack a good batsman in the team to perform consistently and i think all these clubs prefer T20 and hence they are good at the shorter format.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 13, 2019, 04:52:08 PM
There is a lot of discrimination of black n white people in south Africa, and it is in their law to give certain percentage of seats for the native black people in all fields including cricket. This is different from India or Pakistan where mostly people are treated equally regardless of race/religion.
I am not aware of the level of these discrimination in that part of the world but if there is a quota system irrespective of talent then i find that discrimination and if they are supporting that in the education system then i can understand because they wanted to promote even the backward class but in sports it should be avoided as 7788bitcoin pointed out you cannot have a quota system in NBA or marathon and if you have the skill irrespective of color you will be included.
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Halving Effect??? on: November 13, 2019, 03:56:58 PM
I dont know if there will be a huge number of miners who will going to continue considering the fact that after the halving, their rigs requires a hardware upgrade to speed up the block solving process as the rewards and supply is becoming lesser and harder to mine. Plus the electricity consumption might increase as well.
As long as the miners are getting their profit they will be running their hardware and i expect that the price would increase after the halving even if it does not increase i am expecting these huge mining farms to continue their process as there is no point in shutting down if they can even the money spent for mining a single coin. A few months more and we will come to know the full impact in the market.
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bobby lee predicts Bitcoin price to reach $1 Million in a Decade on: November 13, 2019, 02:43:05 PM
There is a lot of anticipation in this market, but the fact that Bitcoin can reach a million dollars within a decade is unlikely. Bitcoin is currently facing opposition from the government, besides the slow transaction speed and high fees are a minus point for Bitcoin.
Anyone can predict any valuation that they deemed possible as it is a decade away from now and who knows what will happen during that period Cheesy but despite saying that there is no opposition from government for bitcoin and the major thing you said is that the transaction fees, i could send coins for merely a few thousand SAT and the speed is decent enough, we might need improvement when the number of transactions increases but right now it is working fine.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are You Concerned On Sudden Rise of Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 04:43:14 PM
I should not be concern about the sudden rise because it's normal to this market.
This isn't the first time I saw a big pump, it happened many times in the past and this is what we called as market manipulation, no other explanation for that.
To consider these pumps as manipulations is easy but it is really possible to figure out which exchanges are behind these manipulations but i am not seeing those investigations coming out, since everything will be transparent in the future when the authorities strictly comply with KYC then anything you do will have consequences. I am not concerned with the sudden rise and fall of bitcoin as i am waiting for the big rally after the halving.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Day Trading for a Living? on: November 12, 2019, 03:38:08 PM
You need to have relatively large amount of cryptocurrencies to be able to live from trading. If you have $1000 or less, it will be difficult to get enough profit. Even if you spend half of it ($500) on some trade and the coin goes up by 5% which is not bad, you would make only $25 profit.
Better option is leveraged trading (for example on BitMEX). It means that you look for smaller swings in price and your profit multiplies with leverage multiplier. So if you choose 10x leverage, wait for only 1% raise and you will get 10% profit on your stake. It involves more risk though. You can also lose your entire balance if you position gets liquidated.
If you have a relatively huge amount of money then you know very well that trading cannot be considered as a way of living but an investment with a regular job or a business, you cannot make any profit if the sole profit is to make profit on a small window of time, leverage trading is one of the riskiest form of trading and if someone is seeking it as a source of income then they are bound to end up in trouble.
649  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: November 12, 2019, 02:07:10 PM
Africa could serve as a great place for the mass adaptation of bitcoin since they are really in need of something that could generate revenue for them in short time span without much effort. As far as transferring money is concerned, they can also take advantage from the dual nature of bitcoin without relying on banks anymore. I am sure that government would allow people or assist them regarding bitcoin for better economy.
The basic problem is the view itself as bitcoin is a money tree which would give you profit in a short period of time without any effort, making money is not easy and bitcoin is a good medium of transaction and it helps in trading globally and you can generate revenue if you are able to invest money in it or you come up with a business, all the shitty airdrops and all the other bull shit will end one day or the other and bitcoin must be used for what is it meant for and not a quick rich platform Tongue.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 12, 2019, 12:35:05 PM
Dube's performance got overshadowed by the record spell from Deepak Chahar. Bangladesh played well.. and we need to give them credit for that. But the real test would be the test series. T20 outcome depends a lot on the luck as well. One single good over can change the course of the match. But test format is different. It is 99% skill and 1% luck.
There were some outstanding performance from KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer batted well and that helped India get a good total and Shivam Dube and Khaleel Ahmed bowled really well but Deepak Chahar was bowling exceptionally well and overshadowed everyone and when in test series there is no way Bangladesh will win or draw any of the match because i hope the famed pace attack will return to the team.

What do you think? I think this will make the test matches exciting.
Give me your feedback.
If you can come up with those option then it will be interesting and i will be joining the pool as well, i have seen your pool earlier but i did not understand the idea of betting pool, what will be the odds we will be getting and so on, sorry if it is a novice question but in the last India Bangladesh match the odds were really low for India and hence i did not participate in the betting pool.
653  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 11, 2019, 04:31:32 PM
Libra is supposed to be a stablecoin, correct?  I've never once owned any of the other stablecoins as I've never felt the need to.  And I don't have a FB account, so I wouldn't exactly be needing it for FB purchases if that's what it's intended to serve as payment for.  I don't know that to be fact, but I'm assuming there's a good reason why FB wants to create their own currency, right?  And I know they are or used to be teamed up with Zynga for games and whatnot and that some of those games have in-game purchases.
Libra is planned as a stable coin and so is the reason they are facing the regulatory issues as far as i know, i have a doubt if you never used a stable coin before what coin you prefer when you are trading bitcoin, i am using FB but i wont be using it to purchase any in game apps but if it is a good stable coin then i might use while trading.
654  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | Sportsbook Launches November! 👽 on: November 11, 2019, 01:13:31 PM
New sportbook coming up for Stake here too yeah? Looks like we will all have something to talk about a lot in the coming months if everybody has a sportsbook.

Please let it also be soccer/football focused,,, I know everyone likes American games but rest of us usually cannot even find a channel to watch it:)
Everyone is waiting for their sports book for a long time and the hype is really big as they have created this hype for a long time and hope they will deliver and i am expecting some big offers to introduce the new platform. I am also expecting football, NBA, cricket and Tennis and with more wagging options and more deposit options, is there any specific date for the launch.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Dogecoin on: November 11, 2019, 12:09:19 PM
Buy Dogecoin
buy 30 sat
sell 40/45 sat
If you have the patience to hold for a longer period of time you can do that and usually whenever there is a rally usually the price of dogecoin goes over 200 Sat and if you are investing the coin when the price is low then you could literally multiply your assets without much risk and the amount of profit you can earn will be higher than the rest of the assets in my opinion.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 06:01:08 PM
Once Bumrah, Kohli, Jadeja, Shami, MSD etc get back into the squad, they will obviously be far stronger and a force to reckon with. New Zealand are riding on luck majority of the time while England is the only team that poses a serious threat to them in the upcoming World Cup in my opinion.
If these players are back in the team then it will posses a bigger challenge to the rest of the teams, Bumrah, Shami and Buvi are the best fast bowlers in the world and the world cup is in Australia and these players will have a major contribution if India is to win the world cup and the battling line up is the only issue and they need to fix that if they need to compete with England and Australia.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 02:33:09 PM
I think you are missing out Australia and India here. Both are equally strong contender for the T20 worldcup. Secondly in T20, a slightly weaker teams also have the chance because it only 20 overs a side. That's why no one can be sure so early on who will win the T20 world cup.
Australia is a contender and India needs to find a good middle order player and they are still experimenting the team to pick for the next world cup and they are yet to give some of the players in the bench an opportunity till now, T20 can be anyone's game and West Indies can also be a strong contender with the batting power house they have in the T20 format.

KL Rahul was playing well but he got out just now, but India is in a good position and if the middle order can score runs they can post a huge total.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 01:43:14 PM
The series started 2 days before and it will finish on 16th December, so there is full one month of interesting cricket. Here you can find all the details of the tournament and the teams lineup too.
Thank you for sharing that, so AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn is playing in this league as well as many T20 specialist around the world including Jason Roy and Chris Gayle, so it is a major league and i will be following this from now on.

India started slow and already lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma, India does not have a big batting line up and without his contribution i am not expecting a huge score by the Indian team.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 12:56:57 PM
Why there is no discussion of Mzansi Super League here which is going on in South Africa ?  Are you people not following that series ?
This is the 2nd edition of this league.
There are six teams participating in this tournament and JOHANNESBURG  Jozi Stars won the last league and now lets see who will be the winner this time around.
If you can give the insight about the team and the players then people will be interested in having a discussion, i am not following that series and this is the first time i am hearing about this league, just found that sportsbet is accepting a bet for this league, but without knowing much about the teams it is difficult to talk anything nor wage a bet.

India V Bangladesh, this is a important match and if Bangladesh wins they will create history and i would like to see some changes in the Indian batting line up.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Twitter held a Bitcoin Meetup! on: November 10, 2019, 12:34:32 PM
Seeing something like this gives me hope that very soon companies will come to the realization that blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies are the future of both the financial ecosystem and the entire universe. I just hope that this meetup will not be a normal linkup which does not bring anything that might influence the adoption of Bitcoin. But personally, I think such meetup has a good potential of influencing the adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies..
All the companies in the world will accept that blockchain is the technology of the future and many big companies are doing research to come up with something that has real world usage and some of the companies have already adopted blockchain but they might not accept the currency aspect of bitcoin but blockchain is the future.
When you are talking about this meet up who knows what happened behind the scenes, i never heard that he had any meet up in the US but when he flew to Africa it became a big news  Grin. Unless there is something positive coming out i just consider it as a publicity stunt.
