I doubt in the future thee will be any alt season. 2019 passed by without any and the same might happen in 2020. I have been following this space from for a long time and it happened because lots of projects have failed to deliver what they had promised in the beginning.

Also I feel the criticism directed at Ireland players is a bit harsh, because you’ll need to understand that they were never pros in this sport and it’ll take them quite a while before they can offer some serious competition to their opponents.
I agree with this statement as you cannot blame them for not winning, they need to find good bowlers if they plan to have a competitive edge against top quality batsman, new teams like Afghanistan has Rashid Khan and other similar world class bowlers and they need consistent batsman while the other countries like Ireland has batsman that could change a match but are not consistent and they lack a world class bowler, if you are to challenge top teams you need to have an extra ordinary player and the rest of the team will revolve around him.

Blaming the players is a bit too harsh. I do agree with it. The board should give these players more opportunities to play with international players and they will surely improve. Their circumstances have not allowed them to improve their performance.

Quick look at the Indian Team without going into any details.

-Dhawan /KL fighting for opening slot ( Rohit is fixed)
- Kohli (Fixed) and Iyer making a strong case for fix spot.
- Manish Pandey wants to cement his position for Number 5, let's see.
-Rishabh Pant is favorite but Sanju is ready to compete for Wicket keeper-Batsman
-Batting all- rounders. We have to wait and watch who comes at the top. Shivam Dube, Vijay Shankar Hardik (Vijay and Hardik are out due to injury)
-Bowling all-rounders -Washington Sunder or R.Jadeja-
-Cutthroat competition in Seam bowling. (Bumrah is fixed)
-Spinners are fighting as well Chahal-Kuldeep

To sum up everything i would say its mess right now (Good thing) and management/ Kohli are not sure what's their Bullet-proof combination. that's why we are witnessing dramatic changes in team and shuffling at the batting order. tough time for any Selector, so don't get surprise if your favorite players are left behind.

This is because India have too many good players that it is impossible for the selectors to decide which player to keep and which to drop. No combination or player can be 100% perfect choice but in the long run this competition will force the Indians to increase their performance to the next big level if they want to stay in the team.

This time around India does have a lot of good batsmen, bowlers and all rounders. It will be really hard for the selectors to choose from so many good players. The team as a unit can be choosen but the players decide the fate of the game.

Some people are losing $100 daily or $200 a week or $500 a week how about you
Have you counted or estimate all your losses and thought what all your losses could you buy, do you sometimes stop and think on all of this.
I'm not a big gambler but I estimate I could already buy a good class mountain bike with all my losses, how about you?

I have never played with amount over $10. This helps me to control my expenditure. The total amount that I have lost in a week in not more than few pennies as I am not so aggressive gambler.
6445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming from altcoin to bitcoin on: January 12, 2020, 03:59:13 PM
I don't know if its the right call or not but i just feel like its better to sell my bags of altcoins for bitcoin, most of the altcoins i owned are not top altcoins, mostly new coins from bounties and I've seen coins worth of 2k turn 20$ while holding them, finally i decide to take out the losses and invest in bitcoin, if you are holding any altcoins that aren't good enough do not hesitate to sell for bitcoin to at least make some profits

Within few years time most of the altcoins will struggle to survive or be dead. The best option to secure your investment is to invest in Bitcoin for long term.

There are some who will say you to diversify your portfolio. I agree too but major investment should be in Bitcoin.
6446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just don't care if Faketoshi's coin got pumped recently on: January 12, 2020, 03:43:59 PM
I am least bothered about Bitcoin SV and faketoshi. Like him the coin is also fake, they have been pumping this coin after the form in 2018. It is now known as pump and dump SV.
6447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not being sold for $24,000 in Iran on: January 12, 2020, 03:23:33 PM
Upon checking the data again from localbitcoins, i find that the in ads from Iran, the location is written as turkey ? So it basically turkey buying/selling the bitcoins at 24000$ and not the Iranians on localbitcoins ?

Turkey is neighbour of Iran, due to a lot of restriction imposed by US, purchase using dollar are banned. Therefore the best place will be turkey for dollar transactions.
6448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 12, 2020, 01:54:33 PM
I think India and Oz are team where even if some legend gets retire they have good players lined up to fill the shoes . May be it may take little time to fill that spot but not that team may keep losing many matches like it is happening with sL.
There was not too long back when Australia was struggling when David Warner and Steve Smith was suspended because of ball tampering and the weakness was seen and now they are back in the team and now they are back dominating everyone and when it comes to T20 England is the most dominating team as they have the players with huge strike rate even though they are not having a equally good Test team, my top team to win the T20 World cup are England, Australia and India and the rest of the teams have to do the catch up game.
Domestic tournaments gave an opportunity for players to shine and get a spot on international squad which was never existed before so there is no demand for talents but finding the right team is difficult for many teams but fortunately India got too many combinations and most of the time every changes they made worked for them.

I am not sure about international squad but, I am pretty sure about IPL. Domestic cricket has helped a lot of new talents to get selected in a IPL  team. India is abundant with batting talent the problem was always with bowling talent. Only few have made it to the headlines. When we talk about team combination bowling plays an important role. With the recently concluded T20 match, I can see that the selectors have quite an abundant source of bowling talent available for them to choose.
6449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing Price On 2019? What do you think this year 2020 will be? on: January 12, 2020, 01:48:28 PM

Bitcoin closing price on Thanksgiving:
2020 Dec 30 - Huh
2019 Dec 30 - $7227
2018 Dec 30 - $4,365
2017 Dec 18 - $19,140
2016 Dec 30 - $973
2015 Dec 30 - $431

Honestly I think Bitcoin 2020 will make progress , not only in price progress but also technical development will be happened. And we, most of the crypt lover don't focus upon that point.

What do you think this year 2020 will be? Comment below.

2020 will be same as 2019. Do not expect anything incredible happening this year. Before halving there will be a small Bull run and after that you will see a price correction. The price of Bitcoin will be holding between the the range of 8k to 9k by the end of this year.
6450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 12, 2020, 01:44:30 PM
^^ Oh boy just checked the scoreboard after reading few comments and it was really nail biting match. my bad i missed it, Where are you watching this live? i might check out last match or may be T-20 series.

I watch all the matches live or at least watch the full highlights. Ireland was very close to a win but West Indies managed to win by just 1 Wicket.
The Last ball was hit for a six making WI cross the line. It was a nail bitter thriller.

Alzarri Joseph was well deserved Man of the match.

Ireland once again proved that they are the ultimate chokers of world cricket. I was watching the match live on YouTube (WICB made the live streaming available for free). They needed 5 runs from the last overs, with just one wicket remaining. Hayden Walsh and Sheldon Cottrell were batting and Mark Adair was given the bowling responsibility.

All Ireland had to do was to keep Cottrell on strike. He was struggling to give strike to Walsh and Adair missed two simple chances to run him out. If Irish players perform like this, then I don't think they will remain in international scene much longer. All Adair had to do was to collect the ball and strike the stumps (batsman was miles away in both the cases). He missed, in both the cases.

They are not playing a lot of international cricket and that might be one of the reason they missed out on this simple opportunity. This what is called lack of international cricket exposure and experience.

On a serious note Ireland should be given more international cricket exposure and only ICC can schedule more matches for this country. They have a lot of talents and they prove this whenever they are allowed to play against big teams. If they are not given the exposure, they will only remain an underdog team.

It also depends on Irish cricket board, they should negotiate with ICC and other boards for the team to participate in tri series or single series tournaments happening around the globe. Blaming ICC won' t help.
6451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Strategy: Withdraw 50% ETH and looking to invest in Altcoin on: January 12, 2020, 01:19:35 PM
Well, I am thinking about investing in Titan coin. Yeah, I researched on this coin a lot and now the project is delivering the apps, exchanges, offers as they promised earlier.

My current portfolio includes

6K$ = BNB
4K$ = EOS
10K$ = ETH
5K$ = BTC

Total: $25k

Now, I would like to include the titan coin in my portfolio: $5K

6k$ = BNB
4k$ = EOS
5k$ = TTN
5k$ = ETH
5K$ = BTC

My strategy is to sell 50% eth coins and invest in TTN Coin. What’s your suggestions experts?
I would like to know your honest review and suggestion on my decision.

PS:-

Thank you everyone for your wonderful replies. Most of the suggestions shared here recommend that I stay invested in my current folio. But, I prefer to change my portfolio on a regular basis, and this time I am considering to add an altcoin.

Now, to answer your question as to why I am considering the Titan coin, here are the 4 key points that I like about this coin (project).

- The use cases are real, which, to be honest, are still missing from most of the new cryptocurrencies out there. The team is launching (some already launched) a number of apps that will provide actual cases for the use of titan coin as a payment currency. Moreover, they are also partnering with merchants worldwide to integrate titan coin as a global payment method (as I got to know after discussing with the owner himself). So, I think the scope is good.

Launch of Titan Family Security App
Titan Sales Reporting App Launch
Swapping of Titan Coins
Titan Payment Gateway completed
Titan Premier League: TPL
TTNEX
Legalisation of Crypto in Armenia and Nigeria Government
Titan Dating app
Forming partnerships with investors, organisations, merchants and businesses worldwide

- As for the coinmarketcap status of the coin not looking good at present, one must understand that the coin is still in the early stage (not more than a startup) and it takes time for any good project to show its true potential. I am just starting to believe in its potential.

- Another thing that intrigues me about titanprojects is that it is a self-funded project, where all the investments (as of yet) have been made by the owners and partners. Given that they have no external investments and yet they have managed to develop their own blockchain, apps, digital payment system, exchange and cryptocurrency in a very short period of time, I believe they are very serious about it all. And I think any investor would want to fund this project, now that the product is ready.

After a detailed conversation with the owner himself, I got to know about his interesting ideas of creating a global digital payment ecosystem powered by the Titan coin. In fact, I am now genuinely interested in becoming an investor. What about you?

Your current portfolio is very good and I do not think you should change it.

I would not recommend you to interfere with it but if you have already amde your mind then you should go ahead. I have heard about Titan coin, they had an IEO, not sure if it was successful.

Think twice before investing.
6452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about NEO? on: January 12, 2020, 01:09:28 PM
Can someone refresh my memory and remind which successful milestones NEO achieved in 2019? Maybe some can remember any good project on NEO or an update in already working one?

😀😀😀
same here I am also trying to find out what exactly is happening with NEO. I haven't heard anything from 2018 till now. It is supposedly was given the the " Ethereum killer".

It got killed by Ethereum 😀😜

Hey
We all know how the year had been Sad , unfortunately we have seen worst case of bush fire in Amazon , in Australia , environment is changing drastically , not so long enough we used to have snow here and now it's already January , no sign of snow ...
In certain places where it was supposed to be winter , it's raining there tremendously and it's something that am seeing from my own eyes.
I think this 2020 we should focus on reducing the carbon footprint of bitcoins , reduce the energy minning takes ND the pollution it generates .
Hopefully the community will come forward and the creators will also look out for this .
If you are in the IT sector please spare some time and brains for this problem and try finding a way out .

Okay I do agree Bitcoin does contribute to pollution but, that is negligible.

Major concern is vehicular pollution and industrial pollution. Third world countries have started working on it but, industrial power giants like America are ignoring it.

Things have to change and change can come only when big leaders agree and not disagree. I live in acoutry where plastic bags have been banned completely, more and more innovative ideas are being implemented to reduce carbon footprint. Like subsidizing electric vehicles and promoting it in large scale.

Hopefully my country Neill achieve the target within the next decade.

P.S I live in a third world country.

A much awaiting ODI series between Australia and India beginning in 4 days from now. Here is the brief schedule.

(Source:- Cricinfo)

This series will be way much better than the just concluded T20 series with srilanka, which was an absolute disaster for the fans and the team. I hope we get to see some pressure games in this series.

6456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a bullish sign as halving approaches? on: January 12, 2020, 08:33:34 AM
Price fluctuations may be an indicator of investor sentiment. Hashrate, though, is often seen as the better market number to watch in order to truly evaluate Bitcoin adoption, and recent hashrate statistics indicate that adoption continues to grow.

By all accounts, Bitcoin has had quite a tumultuous year. After starting the year more than 80% down from its all-time high, BTC recovered significantly before once again losing several thousands of dollars in value.

Source link here

For me, I think this could be another "unsure" prediction or analysis.

Although the hashrate of Bitcoin has increased significantly, this isn't guaranteed that Bitcoin will be having a big bull run when halving draws near. Remember that there are still scammers out there like PlusToken, lurking from the shadows, waiting to strike when BTC moons, then they dump a lot of their assets to bring the market down again.

I can't be sure if the increased hashrate of Bitcoin would really become "bullish" because the market today is so unpredictable. What do you guys think?

You will know about it in the beginning of April. Historically price of Bitcoin has always gone up before halving. I do not expect it create a new ATH but, it can easily go upto $10000 before May 2020.
6457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey: At What Price would you stop investing more money into Bitcoin ??? on: January 12, 2020, 08:29:47 AM
I do not think it is practically possible to Bitcoin to reach $0.01.

But, it can reach a price range of $3000 to $3500. At this range I eill stop investing and wait for the market to recover.

I do not think it will ever go to that range but, anything can happen here.

You can find a list of 40 merchants that allow Bitcoin to pay for their product and service. Here is the link..

I do not think the list has service providers similar to uber but there are few travel and lodging companies.
