5741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 22, 2020, 09:49:36 AM
To be honest you can gamble with anything happening around you or in your life. I have intentionally never done that and never considered doing it. I know that without my knowing I might have gambled with my career. But, that was me gambling with myself.

I have have had friends who have casually done betting while playing games on PlayStation for a couple of beers.
5742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 22, 2020, 09:42:34 AM
I only gamble online therefore there no need for me to visit any place to satisfy my addiction. I would ask other to do the same if possible. If the virus outbreak stops in the future then the chance of it again relapsing is also very high. It will be better to avoid social gatherings till a vaccine is invented.
5743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 21, 2020, 10:37:38 AM
As compared to countries like Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland the case reported in United Kingdom is still less. But, if people do not start imposing self quarantine by themselves then the government can also not help them.

People should understand that they are risking not only their lives but also the lives of their loved ones.

They should also understand that they are helping the virus to spread whenever they are going outside.
5744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading by Italian Banks on: March 21, 2020, 08:18:23 AM
I guess we can call it a good news. Crisis situation can change many things and that is what is happening in Italy. It has been the most affected nation by this damm virus. I hope things change for better for the people living in that country.

I have stopped watching sports channel as they make me feel more depressed.

We still have the T20 World Cup and Oympics this year. I do not think they will be cancelled, most probably they might get postponed by a month or so.

LOL.. a month or so? Dude, you really think that the situation will improve in a month?

Here are some stats for you:

Total number of COVID 19 cases (medically confirmed)-

February 01: 14,553
February 15: 69,197
March 01: 88,585
March 15: 169,593
March 20: 275,593

As you can see, the number of new infections during the 5 day period between 15th and 20th March was more than what we had in the 15 day period preceding it. Still hopeful that the situation will improve in a month?

Note: all the data taken from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

You forgot that China has successfully contained the virus within a period of three months. There are no new cases coming out of the country. What we need to do is to put in place strict lockdown and harsh penalties. So, yes it is possible to stop the damm virus from infecting more people by taking the right decision.

Go and read few articles

5746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 05:55:13 AM
^^^^ The IPL can't be conducted between June and August, due to the Monsoons. If they conduct it after that, it is going to clash with the schedule of other tournaments. And anyway, IPL 2021 will start by March 2021. So how can they justify 5-6 months interval between the two tournaments? My advice to BCCI is to cancel this years tournament and reimburse all the expenses to franchises, sponsors and the TV channels.

I hope that does not happen. Cancelling IPL can become very costly affair for BCCI and there are a lot of jobs in stake too. BCCI will lose some where around 3000 crore if they cancel IPL this year.

I am sure they are monitoring the present situation and accordingly they will take a decision. At the moment the situation in Idia and across the globe has gone worse. Hopefully things should become normal by April.

Please answer my question. Which one is more precious among these - 1,000 human lives, or $1 billion? More than a million individuals attended the IPL last season, and there is a good chance that if we witness the same number of audience this time, then anywhere from 1% to 10% may get infected from the virus directly. Will BCCI be OK with that sort of risk?

Both are important for me economic stability and the health of fellow humans. I do not know what will happen if BCCI cancels IPL this year but I do know many people will lose jobs and to cover it's losses BCCI will increase fees which will in directly affect common people.

Matches can be organised without spectators  and they can be rescheduled for a later date this year.

The virus can be contained but Indians are more intrested in hiding it from the government and spreading it to others. China has successfully contained the virus within three months and India can too if the citizens collaborate with the government.
5747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency price is coming back. on: March 21, 2020, 05:28:08 AM
You forgot to mentioned that yesterday is went as high as $6600-$6700 and then goes below $6k, and bounce back today at $6200, so that's crypto's volatility. Probably retail as just buying in this dip and then selling it just to get decent profit, specially day traders.

So yes, we have somewhat bounce back from the ncovid-19 scare, but we are still not out of the woods yet. We're still not into the bullish trend, some divergence might be forming and we may see the price on the $6500 levels.

At the moment it is being traded between the price range of $6000 to $6200. Which quite normal considering the price spike of yesterday. Hopefully by the end of this month it should be above the price of $7000. Considering the global economy situation and the coronavirus outbreak this is a good signal for the crypto market.
5748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Website request to track developments in Altcoin Society. on: March 21, 2020, 05:23:32 AM
I'm a day trader, however I keep missing the important developments/announcements which pump the coin.

I wanted any leads if anyone has using which I can track futuristic movements and developments of various projects.

Can someone help me in that space ?

If you have a telegram account then you can follow this channel unfolded for latest news and cryptocurrency market update. The best option is to follow your choice of project on twitter as most of them are there.
5749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to offload an Altcoin on: March 21, 2020, 04:58:40 AM
Sell them in smaller portions or take the hit if you don't have time to do it in several trades. The price will always go down unless there's a trader actively looking for these coins and does the same thing so the price won't go up. Looking for more exchanges could also be an option since not all exchanges are listed in sites like coinmarketcap.

It is not easy to sell them when you have such a low volume. It will be very hard to find buyers. If you sell them in small portion the price will take a major hit. I am sure you will not find buyers if the price goes down to a certain point. The only option is to wait and watch.
5750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 21, 2020, 04:53:55 AM

Die hard cricket fans can watch highlights of the past matches. Most of the two dozen or so sports channels in India are showing these old matches. But I never watch these ones, as I don't get the same level of excitement that I get by watching the live matches. So for now, I have stopped watching cricket and I am currently using the time to watch movies (both Hollywood and Bollywood) as well as for learning new skills.

I can't watch repeat matches even when India is winning. Live is only fun.

With no IPL, this entire year is getting boring. It was so much fun to see India vs India where any team wins, I still can celebrate Sad

I have stopped watching sports channel as they make me feel more depressed.

5752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC + Corona on: March 20, 2020, 12:48:23 PM
I was just curious to know whether the Corona outbreak can help bring people's attention towards the crypto market?
Where many countries have banned short selling too in ever falling stock market along with the oil and gold prices tanking, I am sure many would be looking for an alternative. Regarding BTC which has recently touched the bottom (atleast according to technicals) after a 60%+ fall, I guess this is the best time to bring traditional investors toward btc. People have free time to read and understand cryptos too as they are quarantined  Roll Eyes

The problem is investors do not like volatile market and cryptocurrency is known for it. Plus there is so much market manipulation investors will always hesitate investing in such a market.

Looking at the global market and the global economy condition if Bitcoin gains a good price momentum before halving chances are few investors will think about it and also invest.
5753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: March 20, 2020, 12:14:27 PM
It is better to stick with Bitcointalk bounties rather wasting time on other platforms or groups. I have seen beeter opportunities here than anywhere else. Moreover these platform take a big chunk from the earnings, which is not an issue here. I have never used anyone of the above groups ir any other platforms.
5754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 20, 2020, 08:21:32 AM
It's just matter of time when there will be a global lockdown. Things have already turned from bad to worst. All this is happening because the government were too late to respond. So many innocent lives have been lost thanks to China.

Online gambling is the only option left now. I am sure most of these websites are now experiencing huge traffic because of the outside situation.
5755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: March 20, 2020, 06:56:14 AM
Can't exactly remember but if i'm not mistaken maybe 5 months. That's the time I got tired of lossing and came into my mind i'm just wasting my time and money but of course came back again and had a more than a month of winning streak. With the situation we are having right now, many gamblers will take a break and prioritize their lives more. I don't think they will transfer in online gambling or crypto gambling rather, just to satisfy their gambling habit. Most of them only trust physical casino especially those big time players and also, that's what they've used to.

WOW

One more month and you would have completed half of the year. That is incredible. I do not gamble everyday but, I cannot say that I had completely stopped gambling. I occassionally gamble more than once in a month.

Considering the present situation, where you have to stay indoors that frequency might increase.
5756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 20, 2020, 06:15:24 AM
^^ For the record, its back-up plan with condition apply * If everything calms down, if not then no IPL

And IMO they have every right to get ready for any possible scenario, considering the fact IPL alone create 1000s of job every year.
Today we have first good news as in China first time happen no new case about Corona in 24 hours so lets see now what happen in other countries as few still struggling with this hopefully we will have IPL in June if this is possible any comment about this from any Indian?

I highly doubt that, I believe China are not telling the world the truth with the amount of cases they have and how many new cases are popping up daily. As we know the T20 world cup is played later this year in Australia and right now the AFL is going ahead as they don't want to clash with the world cup so its going to be interesting to see what happens if the AFL is stopped due to the virus and what will happen with the T20 world cup as it might be pushed back which in a way should be okay as it will be the start of the Australian summer.
The problem is , we can never really know what to believe . The journalists out there have to fear the government as well as the virus to freely roam in the field and collect info and publish them . Whatever we see in news is what we should believe .

Everyone is hoping the same that the situation should normalise before the starting of the tournament. The government has put in a lot of efforts in containing the situation and hopefully everything will be at normal very soon.

Is it possible for IPL to be rescheduled in the month of May. I feel by that time the situation will be under control?
Government indeed is putting a lot of efforts but do you think people are? I think not , if you see in Madhya Pradesh how they are protesting against the BJP with respect to elections , how can anyone contain a virus in these situation? It will obviously affect the other fields like sports too .

That is true there have been lot of reports on the media how people within the country are behaving. Recently I saw a news about a young guy from Kolkata who is the first person tested positive. He did not heed the request of airport authority to admit himself in the hospital and caused  more people to become suspected coronavirus victims.

Educated individuals from the elite society are acting like illeterates in india.
5757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas closes casinos and hotels in lieu of coronavirus on: March 20, 2020, 06:07:51 AM
The Star Casino have just sent an email around stating they will close their three casinos for four hours each day:

Quote
The Star Sydney close from 6am-10am daily
The Star Gold Coast close from 4am-8am daily and
Treasury Brisbane close from 4am-8am daily.

Both Star Entertainment Group (ASX - SGR) and Crown Casino's (ASX - CWN) share prices have fallen noticeably on the ASX over the last ten days.  I haven't checked on the other smaller Casinos, but they will be taking a hit as well.

Wait for another week and you will the stock markets globally will dive down. A lot of preventive measures have to be put in place in order to contain this virus. These measures will surely drag down the global economy and especially the stock market.

Till now most of the existing preventive measures have fail to contain the virus.
5758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play gambling that require skills and techniques. on: March 20, 2020, 05:28:18 AM
Except card games I am not sure any other gambling games require any skills. Almost all of them are luck based games. Initially you can use your skills to control the game but eventually the house takes over and only luck plays. I have tried many techniques and skills but most of them won't work after some time.
5759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 20, 2020, 05:24:51 AM
Rafael Nadal is a great star in tennis. We know how much he can achieve for his great sports performance. 2020 is a great challenge for his career but currently, the Covid19 has us all in jake. The world economy is being affected and most importantly the safety and health of humanity are at risk. I have never seen what we are experiencing the effects of the virus in the world. The first thing above all is that we succeed in overcoming the virus and the vaccine is discovered in time before it makes more damage.

I think both Roger Federer and Nadal are great tennis players. Roger Federer has more Grand Slam singles title than any other tennis player. I am desperate to see some action happening on the court but, in these situations I do not know how many more months it will take for things to become normal.

@JSRAW you’re right as IPL authorities are within their rights to prepare for the tournament, because if the virus issues ease then their backup plan can be put in action. @vella85 I feel the situation shall normalise before the T20 World Cup starts, otherwise we will be starring at the possibility of missing out on watching the T20 World Cup which will be really sad.
