5581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 18, 2020, 05:12:28 AM
Just curious how is it even possible to gamble at the age of 5? Grin Grin Grin

Unless, it is not the kid that is gambling but someone at a right age that doesn't wanna get tracked down right? Well, the point is, the age restriction system will not really work here unless they implement KYC system with real time verification. Because merely, an ID's could still be used to steal identity to a person if they really want to gamble with a restricted age.

I actually didn't think about it before. Thanks for sharing a different point of view. Also, agreed that KYC implementation make users more 'vulnerable' to data leaks but in general KYC is needed for projects that aim to be legal and fair.

But what keeps a kid from faking his ID making it look like he's old enough? I saw many KYC procedures that asks that a user uploads he's ID front and back side and that's it. What is keeping a kid to "photoshop" his ID to show he was born in 2000. and not in 2010.?

I am not the expert but KYC people probably can detect a fake photoshopped id from the real scan unless it is done professionally. Would they care enough to go after you? I have doubts.

From my experience, they usually let anyone play on the casino until the players starts winning big and only then, KYC team starts taking its job seriously. Till then, nobody cares.
It's easy to determine a photoshopped id, try to zoom in and check if the pixels are unusual, which means it's being warped or something edited on it. Valid ID always has patterns, some are government logos printed, and watermarks so you can check if it's symmetrical or not. But agree that KYC isn't a biggie unless you've made a scene on a casino house.
do you think a casino will be interested to verify a fake ID by following your way. I am sure they would not untill it has been asked by the authorities. They will allow them to gamble as long as they have an ID.
5582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Os EOS on: April 17, 2020, 02:07:42 PM
What is exactly the EOS and why it is being demanded by most bounties and airdrops these days?

Replying to your first question

If you want to know about EOS, please visit https://eos.io/ here you will find all the information you need about this project.

The second question

Which bounty project is giving EOS and which airdrop are you referring to?

By the way it is me or anyone else has noticed the significant decrease in EOS ranking on CMC. Does anyone knows the reason behind it?
5583  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Which Indian Exchange to list on ? on: April 17, 2020, 11:37:23 AM
You stated it is listed on 30 exchanges what are these exchanges if you can elaborate?

It would be great if you can add some more information about your project did not find much on your website
5584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: April 17, 2020, 11:29:58 AM
USDT prints of the whales are one of their plans. I remember that once USDd was printed an additional 300 million and the price of bitcoin dropped from $ 10k2 to $ 3k7 in just 3 days. The whale's money-making move is very unpredictable, don't trust what it's doing.
About USDT, I do not believe it is one of the reputable stable money funds. whales are constantly making money without worrying about inflation. Sooner or later this is a scam coin and you should be careful in storing it too much.

Tether is basically like a corporate version of US dollars, both have no supply cap, and both keep printing as much as they want to improve liquidity,,, basically just a form of saying, if we need more, let us make more of it. They say they have audits and I have looked at one or two but none of it is transparent. So against the concepts of crypto these guys.

Just read an article about the amount of stable coin most of the exchanges have and if stable coin is banned these exchanges will be in big loss. So the days of stable coin will be over and no more corporate coins in the future.
5585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 17, 2020, 10:51:53 AM
I think we all know that the halving will come in 26 days  Grin Im just wondering what are you thinking what impacts will the halving have?

Will nothing happen?
Will the price pump or dump?
Will the hashrate drop dramatically and delay block times?

I expected a lot from Bitcoin this year, but things never go as you expect them to and the same is happening now. Before the pandemic had spread I was expecting Bitcoin to easily touch 10k but now I doubt it will happen.

If this pandemic is not controlled sooner then after halving I Bitcoin will dive down to 3k. It is still struggling to hold 7k at the moment and I am pretty much convinced that till halving it will hover around the present region.
5586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Libra still pose a threat to Bitcoin? on: April 17, 2020, 10:46:26 AM
Facebook no doubt is a big company with lots of resources. It has the capability to build big projects and sell them to public. This one project might not go well with them and things have already turned sour for Libra.

Whatever they do now I do not think Libra will come into existence. If it does it will never be able to beat Bitcoin.
5587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 17, 2020, 04:53:41 AM
For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?

I will recommend you to use both as they both have pros and cons which you will be able to recognise when you start using them. Firstly I do not have a clue about this exchange as I do not use new exchange. I always prefer reputated and trusted exchange. If you want to safeguard your money use only those exchanges which have a reputation as everyday there is a new exch age in the market.
5588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A COVID-19 Blockchan app without compromise on: April 17, 2020, 04:48:51 AM
As governments are gearing up to have COVID-19 apps ready for contact tracing and diagnose attestations we, the public, are afraid these apps will end up compromising our privacy.

Privacy
In the blockchain communities I'm active this is a very hot topic. We should not just sit still and wait for the usual suspects to force intrusive apps on us. What we can do is carefully craft the alternatives which are designed for privacy and self sovereignty.

Open Source

The international team of The Verus project resides partly in The Netherlands and decided to extend the blockchain driven self sovereign digital ID VerusID with COVID-19 specific functions. To be clear, the whole Verus project is 100% open source.

Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport
As I became enthusiastic about this effort I helped the project to apply to the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport for the what they call "market consultation".

So good news! There is at least one 100% open source app in their market consultation.

In my country the government has also launched an app that is able to track you completely. It is a privacy. Issue no doubt about it but, you need this app for the time being to keep you safe whenever you are going outside.

Later on you can discontinue this app sune things have become normal.

I use an android phone and most phone come with dual numbers, for registering you can use the number which is not your primary one and later on you can discard it if you still think they can track you using the number.
5589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just think privacy is more important with financials. on: April 16, 2020, 02:01:29 PM
If you are posting your Bitcoin address on social media, which by the way are always monitored by government backed agaencies then you are a fool

The first rule is avoid social media if you are concerned about Privacy. The second rule is to never disclose your identity in public or on social media that you deal in cryptocurrency, as there are scammers and criminals waiting for you always.

If you are concerned about Privacy in crypto universe then use privacy specific cryptocurrency rather than bitcoin
5590  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best crypto exchange? on: April 13, 2020, 03:39:41 AM
In my opinion all exchanges are good till they fulfill your requirements. I do not label any exchange depending on the security of volume. For me my local exchanges are far much better than all the listed names here.

But some time I do not need to trade on one of these exchanges as some local exchange might not have the cryptocurrency I need to trade.

So for trading purpose any exchange is good as long as it serves your purpose.
5591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would a global recession affect cryptocurrencies? on: April 12, 2020, 09:47:22 AM
Half of the cryptocurrencies will get wiped out if the market continues to perform like this. Only few will survive. I am sure that the firs 100 listed on CMC will easily make it through.

I do not think the market will rise anytime soon. An answer to this virus needs to come out fast I mean a vaccine.
5592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 12, 2020, 09:37:30 AM
If the BCCI stages the tournament in July (around three months from now), then it is going to be a historic blunder. China was able to contain the pandemic after 3 months of extremely strict lockdown. Here in India, we are currently on the 3rd week of national lockdown. I am not expecting the situation to improve before June-July. Even if the situation gets improved by then, a major event such as the IPL may once again nullify all those efforts.

No, they will not anymore.

Most likely IPL will get cancelled this year or get postponed indefinitely untill the situation becomes normal. Sourav Ganguly will be addressing the media tomorrow after a meeting with the BCCI governing body.

In India things will take times and will be atleast for next couple of months before the situation completely becomes normal . By then the rain will start in India and this the matches is postponed till Oct end or Nov and thus if before they have to play then it will be out of India and that too not all would be their duentonyheirncoutbry prior schedule is already being fixed. Mostly it would be cancelled only .

In India things will become far from normal within a couple of months. India was the first country in South East Asia to implement lockdown and still things have not gone in favour of the country because 20 percent of its citizens do not want to follow the rules.

These 20 percent have now become super pressed and situation tends to get worsen more with the coming months. Already some states have increased the lock down period to 30th of April.

This is one of the reason why IPL will get cancelled or postponed.
5593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero get delisted, again on: April 12, 2020, 09:30:14 AM
Untill it gets delisted on more than one exchange I do not think there is an issue. Exchanges do periodically list and delist coins depending on the volume and demand, there is nothing new about it.

It is still actively traded on HitBTC and Poloniex exchange which is a good thing. They are bigger than Huobi exchange.

Only one word beautiful.

Those are really good pictures drawn by your son. Great to see such beautiful and simple drawings by a six year old. Looks very professional, especially the one where he has drawn a bird on a branch with blue as background.
5595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will do better in this Economic Crisis ??? BITCOIN or GOLD ??? on: April 12, 2020, 07:41:48 AM
I still believe in Bitcoin and I still think it is far better than Gold.

If we compare Bitcoin with Gold for the last ten years the price growth of Bitcoin is way much higher than Gold. It is still too early to compare Bitcoin it with Gold as it has been only 10 years.

5597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: April 12, 2020, 07:34:40 AM
After so much dilema on whether to hold IPL this year or not there are indication that it might get postponed indefinitely. Just read an article on one of the news portal where BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has said "When life is at standstill, where does sport have a future’: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on holding IPL 2020"

A clear picture will be available on Monday which is 13 th of April.

Source

BCCI postponed IPL to 15 April. Sourav Ganguly was Exploring possibilities for IPL 2020, but that was one month ago. Things have changed a lot in these 30 days and the coronavirus situation has become more worse than before. I think he will postponed the IPL to next year. There are not much choices left for him.

Correct it will get postponed indefinitely or get cancelled because the situation has become very bad in India. Nearly 1000 positive cases being reported within the last 24 hours and the government still says India has not yet reached stage 3.

Does it matter!!

Why do you want to know who did it?

It might be a group of some individual who has a lot of money in his/her or their pocket. They can do whatever they want to with their money why are so much interested in knowing about them?
