661  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 16, 2014, 11:15:32 AM
I am curious has anyone had any RMA issues with Bitmain ?  i have provided them with the order ID and I am still having the hardest time getting RMA information from them.  They have demanded I perform a test with something called a multimeter (which i do not own, i had to go purchase one)  so i could test the chains.  My s3 device pretty much bricked itself with a firmware upgrade.  I cannot access the UI, the ip is not found (never changed from default).  I used an ipsniffer, and still zilch....anyhow, i am curious to know how Bitmain has dealt with RMA requests from others.   Thanks

It took me 2 1/2 weeks of those emails back and fourth. I finally told them I would sell it for parts on Bitcointalk.org and tell everyone about them not honoring warranty. Then and only then did they sent a RMA form. I sent it(controller) off 3 weeks ago and still don't have a replacement. Good luck.

What were your failure symptoms? I had one die today.. going to have to go down this road...

If somebody in Europe/France does have the same trouble, I'd be happy to have a look and try to unbrick it if Bitmain doesn't accept RMA.
Looks like unbricking could be done by serial line programming (easier) or JTAG if serial doesn't work (will have to find the solder points).

Both methods will require soldering and will void your warranty.

Also, what are the tests asked by Bimaintech?

Would you want any Avalon 2 project stuff ?

I'll have to build a controller board for them since I don't have it, so unless you are letting them go almost for free + shipping, they won't be interesting to send to Europe.

For 1 board alone, Fedex will be the cheapest, 26.5$

I'll update the first post with estimate shipping.

Does this come with any 6 pin PCIe cables or no?  If not, do you offer them for an additional charge?  Also how much would be shipping to the US?  Thank you.
They will come without the cables, I'll receive some PCI-E 6 pins cables to use in my rigs and might have a few spare ones I could sell at cost.

Shipping outside Europe should be the same for almost all countries.

DHL will charge me 44$ for a 6"x8"x8" package, I checked up to 2 Kg
That should hold at least 8 boards and probably 32 cables

I might be able to fit 6-8 boards without cables in a smaller package, like
6"x8"x4" that can be shipped for 37$

Each assembled board is 2"x4"x1.5" (5x10x3.4cm) and weights more or less 50 grams.

French post office, registered package, will be slower but cheaper depending on the weght.
40$ for the bigger package
30$ for 1 to 15 boards alone

I'll check tomorrow it there isn't something like a flat rate international shipping box that could be cheaper

If you can have better price (maybe free or almost at work), feel free to send me a shipping label for your order.

667  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] your defective Gridseed/Zeus miners (and other) on: August 14, 2014, 09:08:57 PM
Also looking for 1 cheap defective erupter cube.

Hi,

I have a cube miner that has 2 X's on the chips when logging into the  UI.  It goes 34-36 gh/s depending on which pool it is set to.  any interest, if so....make me an offer.  Thanks

Most of the newer asics are selling for 1$/GH, and a rockminer 35GH is 0.1 BTC.
That's more or less what I'd pay including cheapest tracked shipping to France.
I won't use it to mine, I'll try to use it to build upgrade blades with BE200 chips.
I guess many people still have the cubes and would like to be able to upgrade them.

Sad

Paypal will be ok.

I would take a few of these. How much would be the shipping for 6 of them to Germany?

Should be in a 13-16€ range via DHL/Fedex, maybe 1€ cheaper with French post.

673  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Where can I get cheap PSU to run miners? I need 1500-1700 watts total. on: August 14, 2014, 08:31:22 AM
PCB should be delivered within 7-10 days.
Consider 1 extra day assembly and 1 extra day testing before I could ship the first ones.

here is the link to my thread where I'll sell them

675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GRIDSEED G-BLADE Overclocking 7Mh/s on: August 13, 2014, 05:43:35 PM
Yes, they use the same parts as power MOSFET.
In fact, the power circuit of the blade is the same as the one from a pod.
And you can't improve HW errors unless you have better cooling and, depending on the frequency you want, higher voltage provided to the chips.
676  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] CUBE with 3 working blades [+4 extra blades] on: August 12, 2014, 06:53:58 PM
Shipping is approx $15 for medium box priority I think. Won't charge any extra for shipping, you pay the price I get at the post office, can send a receipt too. CUBE price is negotiable and I am open to any offers.

Is it sold?
If not, are you considering shipping to France?
677  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Old mining operation on sale: GPUs, ASICs, accessories on: August 12, 2014, 03:47:23 PM
Hi, I'm still interested in the defective blade PCB if it can be shipped for cheap.

Sorry J4bber, it's already on it's way to me. I didn't get a chance to mess around with my first defective blade (seller accepted my return request) but I already ordered a bunch of parts in, so I figured I'd pick this one up and take a crack at it.

I'll let you know if I get in over my head or can't fix it, and if you're still interested maybe we can work out a deal.

If you have some trouble fixing it, PM me, I'll try to help.

680  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] your defective Gridseed/Zeus, or SHA256 miners (and other brands) on: August 12, 2014, 08:36:19 AM
I'm looking for failed miners, mostly Gridseed and Zeus.
Only the PCB have some interest to me, plus it will save some money on shipping.
I'd prefer to buy in bulk, but even if you have 1 or 2 PCB I'd like to get them.

Pricing as follow:

Scrypt: 1.5$/MH

SHA256: 0.1$/GH

Prices can go higher if you have some quantity because I'll save on shipping.

Each Gridseed Pod PCB will be 1$
Each Gridseed Blade PCB will be 7.5$
Each Zeus Blizzard PCB will be 2$
Each Zeus Hurricane/Thunder PCB with 32 chips will be 13$

Payment in BTC or paypal available.
Prices will slowly decrease when new generations will come out.
