Now if you would please present the empirical data showing that global warming is a result of anthropogenic climate change, as a direct result of human C02 output. Not theories. Not opinions. Not simulations. Not projections. Empirical data.

Go research each of the studies in that picture. Find the scientists that posted their research on climate change. Bam! There's your empirical data, or at least the methodologies on how the data was analyzed to get the information.

But nah, just gonna troll bitcointalk a bit more, aren't ya? Silly uneducated baboon. Wink

How about YOU go research it since YOU are making the claim, and the BURDEN OF PROOF is on YOU. Or, you know just pretend I am uneducated and play it off like I am just too dumb to look it up, not that you don't have any clue what you are even talking about. How do you expect to convince anyone of anything if you can't explain it yourself?

Woo! Now let's see some drugs become legalized here in the states.  Roll Eyes

Fake News Network aside, this is finally a subject I agree with you on. The drug war is a failure. We need legalization, standardization, and medical treatment of addiction, not criminal treatment.
6643  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are some people still skeptical about climate change? on: October 22, 2018, 10:45:18 AM
am just trying to understand why some people in society are still skeptical about climate change even though there are scientific proof.

People are skeptical about climate change because it's something they can't see happening in real time. The same goes for things like evolution. Because you can't show them it actually happening via a video or in some other digestible format they often just discredit it or write it off as a conspiracy. With that being said, I don't deny that climate change is happening, but I'm not entirely convinced it's 100% due to man made issues either. Then again, I'm not a scientist.

The problem is the non-scientists 'rebuking' the notion. The science community overwhelming believes one way.

Also:

That's interesting. There sure are a lot of people with opinions. Very impressive.

Get back to it next year.

So in other words you have zero evidence and this is just a really long, expensive, drawn out, taxpayer funded smear campaign. Thank you.

Are you employed by the hostile foreign nation state entity? Really, you seem like a sycophant when it comes to Russia. Makes me wonder who pays you to spread misinformation and FUD.

The evidence of the investigation is there. The evidence that Trump committed treason is in public. Really, it's about convincing the general public that Trump's guilty, which won't happen until congress flips.

Evidence of an investigation is not evidence of guilt. If the evidence is so public you will have no problem specifying exactly what evidence you have now will you? I am a sycophant for asking you to support your claims with evidence? No one pays me, my payment is demonstrating to the world how delusional you are by simple Socratic method. You know what the public needs to be convinced? Evidence.

Get back to it next year.

No pal, in other words I don't find it reasonable ot spend time arguing with you. At least for the moment.
What I know for sure is if almost every member of your entourage has been seen in connections with Russians, you just cannot be clean as a whistle. Zero chances. Impossibru.

Well you are making a claim, yet you refuse to back it up with evidence. This would be quite a convenient cop out for a person with no evidence, but that is not you right? You have all the evidence in the world and presenting it is just beneath you. I mean what kind of heretic asks for evidence anyway right?

My entourage? What? I am American born and raised, and you are a loon.

Trump has already been investigated and explicitly cleared, but you keep imagineering!

You're probably already live in 2019 since, as far as I know, the investigation is currently not completed and it's too early to draw any conclusions. If we don't consider Congress investigation.

President Donald Trump's legal team is preparing a report that will contain sections rebutting a series of potential conclusions special counsel Robert Mueller could reach in his eventual findings, Rudy Giuliani tells CNN.
This is not how you act if don't feel guilty eh?

Nope. it is real simple. Investigations are based on evidence. Even in the most high level investigations 100% of the actual evidence does not remain behind closed doors. If there was SOMETHING, ANYTHING at all to grasp on to it would have been paraded around the media years ago. This whole concept that there is no evidence to present because the investigation is not over is just your personal suspended belief and you demanding the rest of the world share it. Furthermore they have already announced Trump himself is not even under investigation at this point.

There is no evidence. You have none.
6647  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kremlinbots on: October 22, 2018, 05:39:02 AM
Whatever it takes for you to continue the delusion that Trump was not legally voted in.
Guess we will start to find out in Jan when the Dem's take control of the house!!

Yes, because nearly 3 years of investigating isn't enough to produce any actual evidence, including about a year under Obama's rule. What you mean is if your delusions of Democrats retaking control materialize magically, then you can manufacture all the evidence you want.

Patience Grasshopper!  Focus on the Mueller investigation because that's the special investigation into the 2016 election specifically.  The Mueller investigation isn't even a year and a half old.  Watergate took 2 years to unfold and Whitewater took more than 4 years.  Neither of those two involved a hostile nation which would likely make it harder to gather evidence...

Dems are picking up 35 seats in the house dude, like it or not!!!  Even if they don't get 35 they will take control of the house!  The investigations are coming for Trump and no matter how much you and he may not like it that isn't going to stop what's coming.

We're all going to find out the entire Trump campaign was balls deep with Russia, it's gonna be so fun to watch!

There is no way Trump and his kids are smart enough to have refused the Russians help when they offered it, nor are any of them smart enough to be able to cover it up in a way that Mueller didn't figure out in his first day on the job!!!

Remember kids the fun starts in Jan 2019 and should provide major entertainment all year long!  The pussy grabbing unnamed co-conspirator is going to have much more of his dirty laundry aired!

Why should I be patient? Why don't you simply back up your premise with facts? Oh right, there are none, this is all just a fabrication designed to distract from their own corruption.

lol "hostile nation". Everyone knows who is hostile, except for you and your delusional brethren constantly trying to reassure each other of your collective hallucination.

Trump has already been investigated and explicitly cleared, but you keep imagineering!

You seem rather confident. You wanna put some money on this?

I don't think that these kremlin bots are rooting for any particular side,
It's a crazy world out there, the Russians are succeeding.

Dude read the 38 page indictment of the GRU national that had a 35 million USD budget to attack the left.  The attack is completely targeted at getting the right pissed off at the left.  If you think a dictator paying for propaganda is spending it on a fair attack on both sides you're crazy bro, they have a real interest in having as hard right a leader as possible as POTUS.

But you're 100% right it is working and has been since at least 2016!

To the OP I don't think any of the IRA bots are actually here, not enough bang for their buck.

Whatever it takes for you to continue the delusion that Trump was not legally voted in.

Mueller doesn't leak. Pretty sure there's enough shit to burn Trump at this point, it's really about targeting Russian oligarchy networks.

The fact that Cohen's pointing his finger at Trump and saying "fraud and collusion" is pretty damning considering the guy was Trump's personal lawyer.
Bah....

You got nothing but speculation and fantasy.

Because facing dying in a cage for "lying" to the FBI certainly never motivates people to lie right? I mean lawyers of all people are known to be trustworthy right?

RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA!

That's cute that you still cling to this delusion with the kind of hope only the most willfully ignorant can exhibit. Two years, zero evidence of Russian crimes related to voter interference or any relation to Trump regarding such. It is too late. The REAL evidence is now getting out:

....You deem yourself the grand arbiter of what is true and scientific, but you seem to have problems with basic scientific concepts, concepts grade schoolers comprehend.....Yes, C02 can increase global temperature, yet there is no empirical data demonstrating this is the ACTUAL total cause....

Anyone who believes that by changing man's behavior, such as his burning fossil fuels in cars, the few millimeters rise each year in sea level will stop or reverse, is insane.
Global warming is real and caused by humans and is a true threat to the future. Humans are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down rainforests and farming livestock.
The amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.

yep, the agriculture industry contributes something like 25% of greenhouse gases.

Moar oil shilling...

Oil shills really dig their feet in deep when they're called out Smiley

Why do you start a discussion if you don't want to discuss anything? It's all about you presenting your point and throwing invectives.
Maybe one day when we deplete our oil supply we'll start thinking about hydrogen, but since there are other alternatives (LPG, biodiesel, electric) I don't see why anyone would choose H2.

The discussion was to reduce the propagation of the myth of hydrogen being more dangerous than petro.

Also, once you add in the total cost of the damages of climate change, you quickly see oil is not the cheaper option.

Wow, all those facts... zero rhetoric. Clearly based on your confidence alone we must trust, even though you present zero facts you must know all the right answers.

Some of you may think I am a loon for saying this, but it applies here. I am a fan of cutting edge technology and try to keep up on research and development and technical papers in related areas.

I can tell you for a fact, knowing only the technology known to exist to the public, that it is possible to turn anyone into a walking meat puppet. This includes recording all sensory data digitally, feeding false sensory data into the brain, manipulating physical movement, as well as many other more precise emotional and physiological manipulations all without physical contact (EM only). This would turn any one of you into a tinfoil hat wearer in a second if you really knew the full extent of it. Again consider for a moment, this is WHAT IS IN PUBLIC. What is in private and military circles is often 50-100 years more developed than anything in the public domain as a general rule to maintain operational advantage over opponents, either military or business.
6656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Man made climate change on: October 21, 2018, 06:57:50 AM
We should hope that sustainable development agenda will be achieved and we'll be able to stop it for good.

I have no problem with ACTUAL sustainable development I should note. The problem is "sustainable" has become a code word for profitable depopulation under the umbrella of philanthropy.

Technology is the solution. Nothing in the mainstream now is the solution alone. There are many advanced technologies that have been suppressed because they break market and profit models, or systems of control. All of our problems can be potentially solved with the proper application of already existing but suppressed technology.

This whole anthropogenic global warming scheme is a diversion from this and simply a way to preserve the control system and profit from depopulation in a way people believe is for "the common good".

Mod's Note: At the request of a user I have split the OT posts from the original thread so the OT debate can continue unmoderated!

Might as well make this the "shoot the shit" about Amercian political tribalism, support trump, impeach trump etc etc thread!  I will just let the thread havea go in any old direction people feel like talking about so nothing would really be off topic as long as it's in relation somehow to american politics!

BTW legalize fucking weed already man, it being a federal sched 1 narcotic is just retarded LOL, its 2018 you know!

Also you americans are kind of ignorant when it comes to this shit.  If I buy and smoke week legally in my home country then I am technically never allowed to travel to the US because I have broken one of your federal laws, not in your country but in my country...

If I am asked at the airport if I have ever smoked weed and I answer truthfully yes, I am black listed and not allowed to enter the US again.  If I lie to the federal agent and say no, I have now committed a federal crime in the USA and broken your laws.

I think we need a wall on the 49th parallel and we should make the turtles pay for it!  Those god damn Canadians coming across the border HAS to be stopped at all costs!

I would also note, I was the one who made this request (perhaps not the only one) so we could continue the legalization topic without being off topic. I made that request on the first off topic content, which I believe I had posted, yet amazingly plenty  of ON TOPIC posts already in the thread found their way into it too. I am sure it was just a coincidence they are counter to your personal opinions Wink

Why do people fear hydrogen so much? It's literally safer than gasoline....

No...obviously you've never used hydrogen. Do some welding with it and come back and please let us know...

Obviously you were born without a brain, come back when you get one.

pressurized flammable gasses > liquid flammable gases at atmospheric pressure

The fear is legitimate and science based. There are significant fire risks with Tesla's battery banks as well. You claim to be scientific, but any time anyone presents conflicting opinions or evidence to you, your reaction is to attack and insult. Looks to me like you don't know how to science.

Oil shilling

go away oil shill Wink

Your bait and switch claims won't work here.

When does my check come?

I see, we all must be paid actors, shills for big oil. However if anyone claims George Soros is doing the same thing, well, that is just a lunatic conspiracy theory!

bullshit rambling...
This is science. You don't just get to skip steps and make assumptions because you believe it fits.

Lol, your argument is based on fallacious thought and misunderstandings of science, not actual science. fuck off with the misrepresentation of science, you loony.

Inb4 the bait-and-switch argument in which you drop irrefutable evidence related to your claims, but unrelated to your position.

That's nice. The problem is you are the one making the claims about global warming. The burden of proof IS ON YOU. So far you have presented data you argue is evidence of anthropogenic climate change, but really, even if the science was solid on it, it would only be evidence of rising temperature and C02 levels, then giving no evidence about causes.

You built a house without a foundation, and when I point that out, you demand I refute the roof exists, because if there is a roof there MUST be a foundation right? Learn to science.
