I watched Hunger Games 2 recently and it was even better than the first one. Have to read the book someday.

Haven't seen the second one, but the first one was enjoyable. I have a soft spot for Jennifer Lawrence though.

I also pissed myself laughing at this:

You see that Vince Vaughan is in another shit film - Delivery Man? It has six point oh written all over it.

I already mentioned it a few pages back haha.

Haha, that is funny taken out of context.

From their online statement:

Quote
Cash presents more risk, and in particular financial crime risk, than other payment methods. It also leaves customers with very little protection if things go wrong.

Then, reported:

Quote
Certain companies and individuals flagged for illicit and criminal behavior are officially flagged in the system, and prohibited from authorized trade. But according to Stern, executives inside the system learned how to simply reclassify the coding to allow payments to go through to these entities.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were funneled to terrorist organizations including Hamas and Hezbollah – via the firm Tajco, operated by the Tajideen brothers – as well as drug cartels like Sinaloa and Los Zetas and Russian mobsters.

Biggest case of hypocrisy I've ever seen.

Yep. Very looking forward to it. Nolan's cinematographer has a film coming out too Transcendence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCTen3-B8GU

Sweet! I'll look out for that. On a different note, just seen that Gary Oldman is to be in the new Robocop film. That gives it a bit of clout. Loved the old movies.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we really need so many kinds of coins? on: January 27, 2014, 01:36:07 PM
I think there should be this many altcoins since very many people didnt get into the bitcoin game early, Its a great to start of investments, I am saving Protoshares and DOGE, and a Few dimecoins to see how much they are worth i the future so I can save for a college. But I will be greatly dissapointed if that happened.

So, Yes,IMO there hsould be that many.  Grin

But, as others have said, a lot of these coins are 'pump and dump', meaning they're not good for storing money. They won't last forever.

That was mechs... he had bet his balance and won something like 50 times in a row and was up 6000BTC when he lost that roll.

He went all in with 6k BTC? Geez, that is nuts. I bet the website owners are pretty chuffed though.

I thought that. They just made 7 mill in BTC!
689  Other / Meta / Re: ACTIVITY LEVELS on: January 26, 2014, 10:05:22 PM
Remember, the two week period doesn't start for you when you sign up. The two week periods are global, so if you register after one week of the cycle, with enough posts, you'll be upgraded after just one week, when the levels refresh. This is what happened to me and confused me at first.

When does a cycle of 2 weeks start/finish?

Theymos stated the following in another thread:

This is period #1135. Period #1136 will start in about 11 hours, when the unix time 1374560000 % 1210000 == 0.

Activity is incremented when unix time is divisible by 1,210,000.  The next increment should be at unix time is 1,391,500,000 (i.e. 1,210, 000 x 1, 150), which is on Tuesday 4th February 2014 at 07:46:00 UTC.

Wow, nowhere near as simple as I thought it was!

Don't really like Tom Hanks though.

Interesting... I love the guy, and so far I never heard of anyone disliking him. I think you're in luck though, the nature of the movie makes it so there's not a whole lot of character acting and everything is delivered pretty matter of fact and straight forward. Watch it like an intense documentary and you'll get a kick out of it for sure, you see a lot of epic naval shit.

Sweet, might have to check it out. Yeah I just don't rate him. Dunno what it is cos he's a decent actor. Just something that makes me dislike him. Lol

I wouldn't say Hanks is a great actor, far from terrible, but he hasn't got much range. But saying that, I haven't even seen Forest Gump.

You haven't seen Forest Gump! It's amazing. He's actually really good in that, forgot that one.

I haven't seen Philadelphia either.  He played a few different parts in Cloud Atlas, but I've not seen that. I read the book and thought it was shit though. Had to really push through to finish it, but I think it'll work better as a film so I'm looking forward to watching it, especially since the Wachowski siblings directed it, but they haven’t done anything great since The Matrix. I need to watch that trilogy again.

Not seen Cloud Atlas either. Matrix trilogy is awesome. I think the second is my fave, more time in the matrix as oppose to fighting the robots in the real world.

I just saw Captain Phillips last night, the movie was great and putting yourself in the dudes shoes makes the experience all the better considering it's a pretty solid representation of what actually happened.

Ah yeah I've seen that pop up on IceFilms recently and considered that. Got good reviews. Don't really like Tom Hanks though.
