Did you pay for that advertising?
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: December 01, 2017, 08:36:07 PM
I had a lot of hope for Cloak.  Sold 95% of my bag a few months ago at 15X (from where I purchased).  One of the best returns I've ever achieved in crypto.

I lose hope when communication goes down the drain from a token.  Cloak's communication has been horrible.

CLOAK communication has been WONDERFUL, your just not on the right channel. This forum is just about worthless anymore. Tons of accounts from shills, scammers and trolls (CLOAKCOINSCAM) and nothing much else. If you want communication, join the SLACK or the private forums. All can be found on the OP of this forum or, at the website.

I know that this open source it top priority but what can we expect after. What ideas do you have deepend that you see could be done to make cloak better

It is not my decision; however, from what I understand, the next step is to branch it off lite coin.  This has already been started.  The previous testnet was pretty solid, raizor did an excellent job.  This next test net is expected to have no issues.  Stay strong.
Thanks for the reply, you got attracted to this project for a reason and I believe will do great things with it and as you already have

Yea, I don't know about that but, marketing should be the next step. CLOAK is fine as is, just need to put in front of potential users. If you want to keep up with CLOAK development, join the SLACK and the private discussion forum. Info on the OP or go to the website:  https://www.cloakcoin.com/

"haha..." - ADDITIONAL CRAP DELETED -

You are a fool's fool for sure but, I see your migrating to new areas of attack. At least your not as totally boring as you used to be. I suppose nothing will happen with Bitcoin until the dev (Satoshi) "DECLOAKS" himself and becomes transparent as well? Strange how you always pick times when the entire market is down to post your shit. ROTFL!!   Grin Grin
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: November 30, 2017, 02:21:35 PM
this coin is just a poor clone of verge, and alot of pieces in the branch they cloned from were "development" and not an official release, which is why alot of you are having problems.

(also, none of the privacy features from verge have been brought here, as far as i can tell.)

if you notice, it's the same 5 algorithms as us, just less coins and 0 privacy features. https://github.com/vergecurrency/ or https://vergecurrency.com

come on over to a coin that has all this, and much much much much more.

No wonder verge is failing. You feel the need to come to another thread and bash another project.

Shame on you.

We are proud to be part of the shield community. So rather than badmouthing other projects try to strengthen your own.

LMAO!  He doesn't even take the time to do a little research or he would not have even bothered to post. His precious project is based on old VRG code.  Grin
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockfolio ~Bitcoin and Altcoin Portfolio App~ Android and iOS on: November 30, 2017, 01:24:43 PM
dev team, it's very necessary to make "backup" option

I don't want to overcompliment ourselves but I think they're a bit afraid to launch the backup/export option since Delta (https://getdelta.io) came along. It would make it much easier for lots of BF users to make the switch, so I'm guessing this is why they quietly ditched the plan to do this. Or they're looking for a way that doesn't expose the data to the users.

And truth be told, we'd probably would offer a way for users to then import their data to Delta. But we'll also allow for data export (in CSV format) soon, which would mean they can do the same basically. But hey, we're not here to judge their business, I understand their reasoning. Smiley
Just downloaded Delta and I see no reason at all to keep using it.. just a slightly prettier version of Blockfolio with less focus on numbers.

Well, we have support for ICO's, multiple portfolios, deduct from holdings and we're launching CSV import/export + API import + desktop version before the end of the year or by end of January the latest.

So wouldn't call that 'no reason at all to keep using it'. Wink

If your a member of the Delta team then, your post here in Blockfolio's forum would be reason enough to NOT to use your app.

687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockfolio ~Bitcoin and Altcoin Portfolio App~ Android and iOS on: November 28, 2017, 10:11:44 PM
My issue is that I cannot get the 1D graph to generate any display, whether in USD or BTC view. Anyone else?

I know they were having server trouble, or so the app keep saying. Seems to be coming back now with a few exceptions like the one day graph. I don't care what anyone says, Blockfolio is the best app of it's class I don't want to switch to something else because they had a bit of trouble. It will get sorted...

688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockfolio ~Bitcoin and Altcoin Portfolio App~ Android and iOS on: November 28, 2017, 05:00:32 PM
blockfolio got so slow after i downloaded the update
seriously, like the guy that posted before me said : we really need a fast fix for this

YUP! I'm struggling too.
Blockfolio is my go to app in crypto! I refresh it many times a day!
I'm getting much trouble looking at the details of some coin, the main screen is working reasonably.

Is really their server's fault or is the exchange API's that are also slow?

I don't know who's fault it is but, the app is almost unusable as it is and this is a critical time!
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NYC] NEW YORK COIN at 2017 MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE IN NYC! on: November 28, 2017, 02:38:25 AM
I think NYC is also a hyped up Scam coin just like coingather exchange. Seemingly, they both have been hand in glove it seems. NYC never bothered why their withdrawal at coingather was always erroneous and imperfect. Instead encouraged users to buy NYC at coingather by advertising on their post. Now when Coingather has done a runner all of a sudden you see 32BTC of sell orders of NYC at Yobit, the only exchange left to trade NYC. Who knows it's a hand in glove conspiracy. With the price of BTC shooting up like anything...greed can surely over power ones integrity. I wouldn't cross that out here in this case at least. All my coins at coingather including NYC have just vanished in thin air. Well seemingly, honesty and integrity doesnt always pay. Gives more pain instead.

Ah, nope, wrong. Take your FUD elsewhere, except for the Coingather stuff, which has NOTHING to do with NYC, none of that crap is happening here.

is it wrong that I have staked over 260,000 mint since my first deposit into wallet 2/26/2014?

hmm, nope. Early adopter  Cool

network warning: I'm starting my wallet to sync then stake. muhahahaha

Nope, not at all! I've minted over 1405000 since 8/4/2014  Grin
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: November 26, 2017, 03:29:51 AM
coingather.com has been down a few days, they are silent on twitter  Huh

Thanks for the heads up. That is not a good sign when a site goes down with no explanation. It's especially rough on those who have standing market orders (read, funds held on the exchange).

One practice I do (mostly) is that when I want to trade coins and I'm getting ready to send them to the exchange, I first log in to the exchange and check the deposit address. It's not that I can't have my wallets "remember" various exchanges' deposit addresses. It's that before I send in a bunch more coins I want to make sure the exchange is still there.

A wise move wiser...

If there was a hardware wallet that you could use that would definitely inspire me to buy a lot more Verge

we have someone working on a hardware solution, we'll post more info on it once we have all the details =]

Couple of questions:

I use the Verge QT wallet for holding the bulk of my XVG. Will you be supporting this in the future? Is there a cutoff date? Any issues using it mainly for storage?

Thanks...

Dump all your worthless forks 'till it is not too late, Bitcoin is going to $25 000

this gentelmen actually has his point - there only few coins which will surwive this Bitcoin run - the alts without substance, purpouse and real life usage are doommed.

P.S. Now is the TIME when everyone should sincerely ask themselves which coin has real life usage and which was just pump and dump game in order to win more Bitcoins

Ahh, the comic relief...

@vergedev

If you are going to be answering basic life questions I have a few:

Why is the sky blue?

Why do the frequency of blowjobs diminish slowly after the wedding day and then exponentially in the years to come?

There seems to be a lot of talk regarding Wraith's release and I'm confused. Has Wraith been released? Does wallet 2.1.0.0 aka Wraith offer Wraith functionality?

Why no coin control?

What are you most excited about regarding Verge's 2018 future?

hahahaha i love that you always pop out randomly n give me a laugh =]

the sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. (lol)

wraiths first release is out, as the new core wallet is called wraith. 2-6 of the 7 pieces are in it, and the next release is coming shortly which will have the other 2 pieces, and a few other updates, (probably including coin control)

You have to keep laughing in this "flog the crypto dev" environment.

Massive respect is coming for the people behind blockchain development.

Every blockchain developer is helping to shape the future of crypto:

* Some suffer from "serial forking" and are in it just for the $ and could care less what the future holds as long as they get theirs.
* "serial forking" is some times accompanied by "ICO tendencies", yikes..border line sociopathic personality disorder
* The flakes are a small forgotten group. May they enjoy their tedious life of web development and never think about they projects they abandoned.
* There is a pool of decent, dedicated, driven developers that understand the magnitude of their role and the potential for change at their fingertips. (this is my favorite group and where i put my btc)

@vergedev What are you most excited about regarding Verge in 2018?

Here's a blast from the past. The name has changed but the goal is the same and @vergedev has been here the whole time.

I would have rebranded gif but have new machine and cant bring myself to install my ancient adobe cs3 on it.

Good move, it probably roll over and crap the bed...
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: November 22, 2017, 02:48:46 AM
Hi all. Just a brief post to let you know that World Funding Summit was a fantastic success. DNotes’ presence was felt - with respect and admiration. I just got home for a few hours, rather exhausted, without sleep for the last 36 hours. Joe should be home by now. He was a huge help. We will be providing more details later and will be providing some video clips in a day or two.

- SNIP -

We are quite certain that DNotes Global, Inc. will launch a Regulation A+ Mini-IPO of Title IV Tier II of the JOBS Act. It is now in our front burner. 2018 will be an amazing year for DNotes. It has been a long and demanding path that we have chosen but the right path. ICO debacle seems to make it easier for others to understand the DNote’s vision and while we stayed clear of ICOs. We are here for the long-term and the mutual benefits of everyone. “Where we are now matters far less than where we are going from here” Alan Yong.

Very nice Alan, this looks like the perfect vehicle to position DNotes Global where you need it to be. Good luck with the filing. I see polo hasn't yet pulled us, I'll check back after midnight.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: November 21, 2017, 07:27:09 PM
Hi Folks,

I am new on bitcointalk and a newbie in the crypto world. I recently invested in some bitbay coins through bittrex. My question is, can I leave them on the bittrex plattform or do i have to store them on the bitbay wallet or client? Especially considering the upcoming fork?

If I have to store them on the bitbay wallet or client, which of the both would you recommend to use?

If one of you could help me with that, it would be great. Many Thanks! Grin

Always best to store your coins in YOUR OWN wallet, gives you control over your own money and you can stake the Bitbay coins.

Do you have any recommendation as to what is a good wallet? Again, I am new to this. Would I loose my bitbay coins if left them on bittrex even after the fork?

I strongly recommend the client. That's where all the tech is, and we are likely to abandon the Qt wallet soon anyway.

Who told you they are canceling the qt wallet? The client is far from perfect running order IMO, been over 2 years and still has same message that you can only list coins, same with Blackcoin, also takes forever to download and sync if at all for that matter. The qt wallet is the best choice IMO for now until they work out the kinks with the marketplace client. Not to mention for A noob user the client is far too complex.

For someone who is holding and occasionally buying, the QT is fine as long as it is supported. The recently upgraded version fixes the staking issue and will work with the upcoming hard fork at the end of the month. It is available for download now.

Hate to say it but, the purple is "strange" not used much in publishing. As a web designer, I would prefer some shade of Blue, it's a calming, inviting color. And the graphic balloon and moving stuff just distracts from the professional feel you are trying to convey, a bit amateurish. Please don't take this the wrong way but, the old website wasn't so bad. A little updating and it would have been really nice. Nice work otherwise.

I agree it's quite unique and not used much but... i have to say I love the new site! Compared to the old one it's a massive improvement! And those moving things add a nice touch and give it a kind of live feel right? a bit better that just staring at the usual stock images that are most other crypto sites for sure! Cheesy

Congratulations to the bitbay team and good luck with the web wallet launch too! (is it still next week?)

If the "moving things" were smaller, more defined and did not stop moving I would tend to agree. It looks unfinished and thrown in for effect without much thought. Sorry but, I call it like I see it. I've been with Bay since the ICO and would not point this out unless I felt rather strongly about it. Sorry.
