When will Esp2 enter the Bitrex market?

Maybe I miss something:
Can someone tell me the difference between ESP, ESP1 and esp2?

Thanks!!

ESP 1 = "ESP" on Yobit = old chain = wrong coin.
ESP 2 = ESP2 on NovaExchange = "ESP" on all exchanges except Yobit and Novaexchange = new chain = right coin.

I bought 115k Espers when they were $0.000900, now they are $0.000460, talk about crashing down Grin

Welcome to trading.  Cheesy  Buy low, sell high - not the other way round.  Wink

I'm sure the price will go back up.

Ha! I remember Your post, when You buy ESP by 80 Litoshi, and next day it crash to 40 litoshi Smiley But now, after 3 months it cost a lot more.

Hehe  Cheesy Yeah shit happens. But iirc that was because suddenly LTC went ape out of nowhere, not because ESP had risen 100% in the past 4 days...  Tongue

Fixed price ICO - sorry not interested. As you are probably aware, there is a LOT of doubt around the future of this project because of the history, even if you are honest (which I'm not questioning). This would be a great investment opportunity if it would be an ICO where all funds will be proportionally distributed to what someone invested, because I doubt that many people will be interested (as is also indicated by the "enthusiasm" in this thread Grin ).

Offering only 4% of the max. coin supply during ICO (20M of 500M), for a total of $100,000 (40 BTC = 20M * 200sat) is also ... weird to say the least, IMO. I don't have much experience with ICOs though.

Additionally you will be taking 8M of the coins? 40% of what will be issued during ICO?

And 1M for bounties, ok. The remaining 50M - 8M - 1M = 41M will be used for swap for old coin holders? So that essentially means that the holders of a dead coin will own twice as much as new investors, even after we donated 100k USD to you.

That makes at least 3 or 4 "NOPE"s here, sorry  Grin

This is looking like a nice Coin to invest in but only when it goes to 1sat

How many is totally supply of coins now?

about 20.255 kkk ESP

should also mention that part of that coin supply was on yobit and is now burned coins.

Looking at there books there's roughly 5.5 billion useless ESP1 coins on it. Also take into account people that haven't posted there coins for sale yet.

That would make espers true circulating supply under 15billion minimum

I believe that Yo$#it coins are NOT calculated into current supply, since they are on different chain.

Sorry, but both of you are wrong. Wink Unswapped coins are held by CryptoCoderz for future promotions, and the amount is ~1B as the remaining 4B were used to refund coins stolen from Novaexchange last year iirc. This decision has been discussed a lot before, but that's how it is ... additional 1B will be thrown on the market in small pieces some day, and the total supply shown on coinmarketcap is correct.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlavorCoin Radio (FLVR) PoW/PoS sha256 on: July 01, 2017, 08:32:20 AM
There was some good movement on yobit yesterday. Looking forward to seeing what big things are in the works!

I have been slowly collecting some myself.

Hell, FLVR is a year old, has a valid radio license in England and only 21 million outstanding coins.

There are ICOs that have accomplished less than that.

Has to be worth at least 200 Sat.

Smiley

Yep I am still holding this coin for a reason!  Smiley

I just wish there was more marketing and more news on this thread or on the website. Has anything interesting happened in the past 6 months? Is there a fixed schedule for live shows and their replays yet? I'm tuning in from time to time, but there is always just music playing.

I know one thing that happened but unfortunately I'm not allowed to talk about it here.  Cheesy

I'm not really attacking the logo as such, however I just feel its rather random and does not fit the brand.. it's more like something you would find in a harry potter novel over a fintech company.

Well it's simply the logo and trademark of Espers for now, so I guess the devs won't change it unless there is a really good reason to do so.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN]⚡ ▐░Espers [ESP]░▌▐░PoW/PoS░▌▐░HMQ1725 Algo░▌ ▐░New Features░▌ on: June 30, 2017, 09:07:05 AM
Working in eCommerce is know how important branding is and I feel that espers logo lacks the professionalism that the team behind it posses.

So with permission, I was thinking to either submit a design contest on the likes of: https://99designs.co.uk/discover OR I would be willing to run a design contest and offer 500,000 Espers of my own money to the selected winner.

Honestly I have no idea what kind of "professionalism" the logo seems to lack in your opinion?!

hmm yea thanks. but i still fail to see what makes it unique compared to others? also i think  the Devs are not showing up on the website, why is that? how many are there?
thanks.

There is a list and description of each member of the team on the website.

Everything I just explained makes it unique. Tell me one other coin that has the same approach.  Huh
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡[ANN]⚡ ▐░Espers [ESP]░▌▐░PoW/PoS░▌▐░HMQ1725 Algo░▌ ▐░New Features░▌ on: June 30, 2017, 07:39:44 AM
thanks for that.
actually one more question if i may. i still fail to understand what is the point of this coin, even after going to their website and looking it up. what am i missing here?
except the mailing messaging and sites? which i fail to recognize why it is so special? will be happy for a clarification

The point is to have a more secure chain than other coins, to be simple to use for end users, and to build a high-performance backend for services on blockchain, such as websites and sending a lot of messages. The app will enable the sending and receiving of Espers messages from your mobile.

Both (messages and website) are just a proof-of-concept for the general concept of (asynchronous) message passing between applications, and (synchronous) data sharing, to build distributed applications on it. Furthermore it aims at providing cross-communication between applications running on different chains, next to proof this will be cross-chain communication with Insane Coin.

Hope that makes more sense now. Wink

how do i recover these coins?

5c40b74b36ccdbec2a37fc840dd873101a6eec9760c6f3da9501dbea09818152 - transaction id

please someone help me!

please i spent 1,000 dollars on these coins and now i cant retrieve them they are just in an address that i cannot access.

Use your backup.

If you bought $1,000 of coins without having a copy of your private key, and then you try to encrypt your private key without having a copy, and then because of some technical error your private key is lost - then it's your fault bud. I made the same mistake two times when I started with cryptocurrencies. Lost much more than $1000 USD. It's an expensive lesson, the only thing you can do is learn.

The hero member advice here is: Always have multiple copies of your private keys, in different locations! All of this is still experimental software, there are errors, and it's not the developers responsibility if that happens. It's your own responsibility.

will some1 be kind enough to tell me or direct me to info about staking and % returns when staking?

ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1434700.0 says: 25% p.a.

also interested to know how many coins are to be needed in the future for master node? thanks.

Has not been decided yet. As an order of magnitude, think of ~25 Million ESP.

Sorry to bother you guys with so many questions, but how long does a POS amount take to verify? I have one from 11d ago and one from 16hours ago and they have Not been verified yet.

Tried switching to the other pool now for better rewards.

The required amount of confirmations for POS is 100 I think (or 120?), so that's about 500 minutes or 8.3 hours. Note that if your stake does not meet the minimum block spacing requirements opposed through Velocity, it will be not accepted, so you'll see a question mark next to your transaction that says "Generated but not accepted".

guys im a noob sorry i sent some coins from coin exchange to my wallet as it was synching and i wanted to encrypt the wallet as it was doing so. so i did that and then it said it was going to restart teh application... it never did so i opened it again and now its showing a different recieving wallet address than i had sent it to what do i do?

Sorry I have no single idea why that would happen. It doesn't make any sense to me. Undecided  Your addresses will only change if you create a new wallet. Do you have a backup of your private keys and wallet.dat? You always should have a backup.

Guys, a question: doesn't look like there's too much activity on the Espers github page

To me it doesn't look like a project that gets work done / focus.
Can you weigh in on this? Tx

I have suggested to CryptoCoderz to make smaller commits, but as it seems, for now he prefers to bundle all his changes into one single commit. A "commit early, commit often" approach does not only require to do it, but also have a proper testing framework, which isn't established in this project yet. Lots of things to improve for the future when this project grows.  Wink

Wallet must be unlocked and online at all times to stake. But it is very unlikely to get a staking reward. I have been staking over 360,000 ESP for a while now and so far have received nothing.

same here, Im staking I bit over a Mill for several days now and all i see is est time 14 hrs than 19 hrs. But nothing. Undecided

What is considered a good amount to stake to get rewards? I sure your staking weight has something to do with it

just checked and now Im at 20 hrs. Shocked

OK: just read a few post above that said "solo mining is almost impossible to find a block", so i guess i just need to shut down my wallet.  Sad

No, solo mining is not the same as staking. Wait until CryptoCoderz finishes his rework on the POS rewards. Until then you can use POSWallet to get stakes.

Hey guys, first time I see this coin and I wonder about the way staking is done here. Do you need to actively stake (keep wallet online and unlocked for pos like pivx/blackcoin) or it doesn't matter if you open it once a month/year and it always gives 25% annually the moment you unlock the wallet ?

I don't know ANY coin where you get stakes without supporting the network. I have no idea why people keep asking this and think it could possibly work without keeping your wallet open.  Huh
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [ICO] [DST] Presearch: Decentralized Search Engine on: June 27, 2017, 06:55:31 AM
I think some of these pre-ann get hit too hard and too quick, especially if the person/dev is new to the paranoid and abusive crypto forums.  Lots of time I believe that they put the pre-ann out there to give the public an idea of what is coming and what they are doing.  They are in the muck of coding and developing the project and want to give people a heads up with the thread and then spend two hours a day answering questions about a project that they have not even fully flushed out yet.

My intuition is that they are inexperienced with this cryptocurrency topic (which is not good), but are open enough to reconsider their chosen way based on community feedback (which is partly good and bad because sometimes, often you'll also have to hold your curse and not change too often). Colin seemed to be very friendly and communicative, so I bet the reason there are no further infos is that they are thinking.

Colin says answers to my questions are coming, so let's see what it is.

At least they seem to be aware that what they say online needs to be reliable, instead of chatting nonsense here they are silent, which is how professionals would do it. So that is good in a way.

what diference between ESP and ESP2, And at what market it trades?

It is explained literally everywhere, try doing 1 minute of research on your own.

Need ESP at POLONIEX  Smiley
Yes, it could be nice)
Or any Chinese / Japanese exchange.

at Cryptodao you can trade ESP in chinese language: https://cryptodao.com/trade2/index?symbol=cryptodaoespbtc
with price at 80 satoshi

You can also trade in English language, just saying... https://cryptodao.com/site/index/ESP/BTC

Yep the price is real. Looking forward to having the same price on other exchanges!  Wink

Dev. What can be done for those who got trapped into buying the old ESP at yobit?
Is there any could be done?
They bought a worthless coin because of confusion.

Not anything, sorry. You should complain to Yobit. Explain why you bought ESP on their exchange (because you thought it would be the real ESP). Yobit insists that their version is the right one, which is obviously ridiculous.

So I have to encrypt and keep my wallet open to get rewards.

But is there a minimum amount of coins I need for the rewards? on NEM/XEM is 10K

Any one got an answer ^^ ?

1. No.

2. No.

3. Yes ^^

You don't need to encrypt your wallet, but only open it. In fact you need to "unlock" your wallet before getting stakes, if it is encrypted.

There is no minimum amount, although in practice you'll only receive stakes a few times a year if you have a very small amount. Better to use POSWallet in that case.
