701  Economy / Services / Re: Wintomato.com Review campaign ! 80 Slots open ! on: August 02, 2022, 02:46:18 PM
Let's do this.  Wink

Bitcointalk Username: Reid
Wintomato Username: Reid2022

Test the game
Write a small review here(edit your application post for this)
(for update)
Pros:
I like that the game will open a new window to let you play so that the chatbox will stay on the sidebar.
Rain was also fun to see. Then the jackpot questions with high rewards, hoping to reach level 2 so I can join.

Cons:
Whenever I want to check my profile just to see how much experience was being given, the game window will also close and the auto function will stop.
Is there a way that whenever we just check our profile it will just replace whatever is open in the sidebar? So that the game will keep on even if you are checking your stats.

It seems like it's also having problems when you switch to a new tab or a new window while in auto mode.

There's also a time I was disconnected because I was not checking back on the wintomato window.

I will add more if I see other details.

I blame them all.  Cheesy
But it should not render failure of an individual's life. It's easy to blame others about their mistakes but life will go on and you cannot just keep on doing the same blame game because there's no fruit in it. Only stress and lots of bad thoughts will come up.
Somehow you need to start on something.
Investing is a good choice but you need to work first. If your daddy or mommy is a failure and was unable to give what is best for you then be better than them. I am heartbroken with people who would do the same to others just because that's how they learned life from their ancestors.

Bad day, bad time. It happens. I just wish you were doing the chart reading before you invest. But what is done is done, all we could do is move on.
There will always be time like this where we learn from our own mistakes.

What would the next bull look like?
IMO, I am always looking at the world economy. Because for me it will play a big role on crypto investing and even other types of assets.
Base on what's happening today, daily need prices are going down and I think we are in recovery.
BTC is $23k (rounded) as of this post and it may be at the same phase of recovery. Pick your own poison on where you will base your prediction because none are accurate.

At GSW, Steve Kerr's small ball lineup was called Death Lineup coined by Vincent Goodwill.
Quote
It was not until months after it was deployed in the Finals that the Warriors small lineup was referred to as the Death Lineup,[13][14][23] a phrase originated by Vincent Goodwill, then of The Detroit News.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Lineup

They were able to make that small lineup a success because that brings them another championship. yes, they suffer on the defense but they are moving the ball very well so their offense is exceptional. Only the Celtics were able to exploit them but the Warriors adjustment well and beat the Celtics successively to win the NBA championship.

I don't know if there's a team that could beat their style.
They relied with adjustments too. Somehow the Boston Celtics found a way to break that play even if they are using big men like Horford and Williams III.
But, the same was done by Warriors with adjustments that is way better than what Boston did. I must say this, Steve Kerr is a hell of a coach, he must've focused on what Phil Jackson was doing way back he was a Bulls player and then some added wisdom from Coach Pop while he stayed with the Spurs.
He is a product of successful and intelligent coaches although he is a bench player, I guess that's what made him better because he see everything in a wider perspective.

90's basketball is very physical, now it has evolved because a team who have great 3-point shooters will likely win the championship.

That is because the game is evolving each year and with each decade that has passed the coaches and players are adapting to it. Also, if the players nowadays play like in the 80s or 90s era, I reckon they won't be that effective anymore because the coaches and players these days already knows how to counter the plays in that era.
Yeah, it has to be something unique. That small ball line-up was one of the plays that was inserted in the game and was used frequently to dominate a team that relies on a big man like Utah Jazz with Rudy Gobert. As I searched, it was used in the 80's by Doug Moe, coach of the Denver Nuggets.
Mike D'Antoni though stretched the play farther by using small ball and added run and gun style.

706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There will be 1 billion crypto users by 2030 - research on: August 01, 2022, 04:20:27 PM
It can happen but don't expect most of those will be a Bitcoin supporter or investor/user.
The NFT trend made a huge impact, first of all. It opened up a portal into where the innocent became "wannabe pro crypto enthusiast".
All they wanted was to play the game that an NFT project have opened up and next to that they are already using Binance and Ethereum chain to make it happen.
Accounts created in both chains spiked and soon we will see the same event where a new trend will shake the leftover innocent to learn the crypto industry.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 01, 2022, 03:07:36 PM
Some important things to be considered

1. Team
2. How far the development of projects
3. What already achieved so far
4. Commitment by the developers to the project
5. VC or companies who have been also backed the project

I used all of those things to make sure how potential the project is. It's caused by this is the most difficult thing to be known. I do believe if once the project has been fulfilling all of those things and i will call that as a potential project.
My same answer to the question that was repeatedly asked here in the Altcoin Discussions.

Let's not waste time about forcing to know who the team behind a project when they say they are trying to be anonymous.
If they don't want to be recognize then leave it with a red mark and move on. Look for a new project that are not shy about exposing their faces and profiles. Your chances of having a successful investment is partially relying on that.

The roadmap should be checked meticulously too. This is where scammers could go wrong by making an error on their roadmap. Somehow you will save some time if you find that mistake.

Partnerships. Do check the reliability of it. Many put names of companies that looks good in the name but there's nothing behind it.
708  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we hodling BTC or we are hodling Fiat?? on: August 01, 2022, 11:50:19 AM
In my opinion, BTC volatility is a powerful market wave that should keep investors in profit especially with DCA method. because if price is the major concern over the amount of BTC an investor is able to gather as prices keep fluctuating, it invariably means it is fiat he is holding and not BTC.
It will only be regarded as BTC holding if every price wave adds to it.
Price should not be the major concern. Value is what we are aiming for.
But these days, value is measured by how much USD is it. That's why.

It will be difficult to make it as a currency like fiat as long as the volatility is intact but there are merchants who are taking this risks just so they could prove it is a currency and also an asset at the same time.
Do we really need to define Bitcoin if it is an asset or a currency?
USD is being stored by most people outside the US because of its high value in their area. Does that mean it is an asset although it is fiat?
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: August 01, 2022, 09:04:40 AM
Those studies seem kinda biased. Maybe some casinos paid for them, so we can't be sure about their objectivity.
Gambling cannot help for socialization, especially online gambling. I've gambled a lot in the past and it didn't make more social or talkative.
An introverted and socially awkward person will always remain socially awkward.
All this BS about gambling making you happy and reducing stress seems artificial. Many other activities can make you happy and reduce stress, like drinking alcohol, playing video games, porn, smoking weed. That doesn't mean that those activities are healthy. This is a pretty artificial way to  make you happy and less stressed out. One more thing is that gambling doesn't bring financial benefits, even if it's done in moderation.1
The last part I strongly agree with it. It doesn't give financial benefit even in moderation but worst, it will make you spend money. When put in together all that "moderated time and money spent" it will be a lot of waste.
About the fun part, it is half stress reduction and half making gamblers happy. It gives pleasure to your drive to win but that is momentarily. After you calm your endorphins down, you will be back to reality with not much memories of the win after a week or more. Even if you do remember it, it's not that much fun unlike other activities where memories are kept.
It's a biased article, no doubt as it only points out to the pros.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 01, 2022, 07:22:58 AM
Base on Wikipedia, in the past 10 years, only 2 teams manage to get a back-to-back title and that is the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors and in the last 4 years, we have seen a different champion every year. The last time where a team won 3 straight was in 2000-2002 by the Lakers which is being lead at that time by Kobe-Shaq. No team every won 4-7 straight years and only the Celtics won 8 straight. A thing that will never be done in the modern era where the competition is already high.

Russell's legacy will be remembered in the NBA for sure and some of his achievements will never be broken. RIP to one of the legend and for sure the NBA world is very unhappy with this news (including me even though I didn't see him play on live TV) Cry.
I have the same experience as you. I didn't see any game from this player and yet the respect is there whenever he comes to the NBA and present the Bill Russell award to the Finals MVP. I guess we could say that's the vibe of being an 11 time champion of the league.
He will be missed, that's for sure and right now I am watching different tributes from streamers.
For someone who fought for race equality, he definitely made a big impact for the change we are experiencing now.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 31, 2022, 03:18:16 PM
Fixed games.
Nah.
What damages the gambling industry more is not paying up what is supposed to be paid.
This fixed games became a norm and no one ever cared about it. It will happen specially in the lower tournament games.
What they should be more focused is about cleaning up their reputation whenever someone is trying to make a dent.
Besides, this ain't part of the big leagues where more people are gathering.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good and adequate staking platforms on: July 31, 2022, 02:58:30 PM
What good and adequate staking platforms do you know? Exchanges as staking platforms have shown themselves to be the worst, constantly changing even the fixed staking rates. Convinced by my own experience.
I am curious. How?
Worst is such a word that would describe it is doubtful at a highest level. But I want to know the reasons behind it.
Is it that bad even at a best possible exchange?
Sorry but I am against it, I don't see a better platform where a stake could be done. A reputable exchange is always where I run into with this kind of setting.
But I do agree that we should have better options. It should not be an exchange all the time.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2022, 02:31:52 PM
So what would happen, is Curry trying to threaten the organization that there could be a conflict if they will not give Draymond's demand? I think the organization knows what they are doing, though in a team we have some superstars who are just working for the team, they are paid by the management and they have to respect the decision of the management.

The conflict between players is common, but the conflict between players and management, that's very rare.
Yes, that's the case. It's like Curry won't be as as effective as he would be without Draymond Green.
We all doubt that but that's like a protection for players he don't want to leave.
Although, I want to urge this to happen. Let Draymond go and see where they will be at. It's not that I want the to be broken but this kind of selfishness should be penalized.
He things he is a player that Warriors won't be effective without him.
Let him go and see if that's really the way it is. Why? Because I highly doubt he cannot be replaced.
714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 30, 2022, 02:02:04 PM
Look at Isaiah Thomas. He was illegible for max contract in Boston, but he got injured before he can secure it. That one injury turned his supposed big paycheck into almost nothing. He got traded and now, just a few years later, he is gone in the league.
One of the saddest story in NBA. Now he is having a hard time to go back at being an NBA player. 2 time All-Star, All-NBA second team, helped the Celtics to be on top of the East again and yet he was like a garbage thrown because of an injury. Just like that.
DeMarcus Cousins is another story to be looked but it seems he is trying his best to be on top shape again.
Helped the Nuggets during the playoffs while being pounded by the Warriors, his former team. He put good numbers in the defensive end and I wish they will give him another contract as it gives Jokic a lot of rest time when he is around.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: July 30, 2022, 10:52:43 AM
I don't actually understand why they are buying it. Hype? Trend? Be popular? Especially that Dorsey tweet. I mean, why? Buy it for what purpose?
You really think it will be valuable in the next 10 - 20 years? Is he a hero for that to happen? He created a good social platform, okay but it ends there.
Maybe in the next decade or two he won't be remembered.
Same questions like. Who is the owner of Friendster, Myspace? What's the first shared thing in friendster? It is unknown and no one bothers to care anymore.  Grin
Things shared in the internet are temporary it won't last long.
NFT will stay for a different purpose though. A better one.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 07:50:23 AM
I love watching those streamers with unique expressions about their wins. I don't know the name of that one guy that literally rolled on the floor after hitting a great match at slots. Then, there's one chubby guy too whose face was filled with emotion after also hitting a big win.
In terms of contributions to the gambling industry, yes I think they are very helpful and I am glad they are putting efforts at recording themselves during playtime.
I have the equipment but I don't have the courage to put my face online and live stream it.
717  Economy / Economics / Re: New scenario for cryptocurrencies next semester on: July 29, 2022, 06:29:53 AM
Bttzed03 is correct, it must be in a reputable exchange.
It's no different with an ICO, that's the only catch with this IEO. Instead of direct purchasing of tokens from the developers of the project they will use an exchange for investors to buy it.
So what will you check? Same old thing, the team, the utility, and future goals. Then, you add the exchange on where they will list it, it must have a reputation, accurate volume, and the crucial part in my opinion is history of successful IEO which also used the same exchange.

Interesting disclosure about Zion Williamson’s contract with the Pelicans. He’s financially incentivized to keep his weight down or else the amount of guaranteed money in his contract is reduced. I’m order to get the full amount, Zion needs to keep his weight + his body fat % below 295. I imagine that means he needs to stay under 280lbs. While that may seem easy, there were speculations that his weight had ballooned to over 325 while he was injured last year.
Found out about this in a social media outlet. Shocked first so I checked the validity, I thought it was just someone trying to make a trend by spreading fake news.
It's true.
Quote
The Pelicans star signed a five-year, $193 million max contract earlier this month that could be worth as much as $231 million. According to The Times-Picayune, the contract stipulates that Williamson must weigh in at below 295 pounds periodically throughout the deal. His body fat percentage will also be monitored.
https://sports.yahoo.com/zion-williamsons-193-million-contract-requires-him-to-stay-below-295-pounds-215538783.html
This is going to push him harder and it will be good for him and his team.
Injuries will be prevented and Ingram will get the help he needed if he stays healthy. Maybe that high flying skill of him will improve too as he cut more weight and his agility will be better. I am not a big fan of this kid but if I see improvements, I will definitely watch every game of the Pelicans.

If you have BNB already, how about CRO? (Cronos) Crypto.com coin.
Quote
Cronos (CRO) is the native cryptocurrency token of Cronos Chain — a decentralized, open-source blockchain developed by the Crypto.com payment, trading and financial services company.

I think it's a good choice too as they are advertising their exchange in a large scale. Sports and other advertising platform, you could see them including ads in the known streaming media center.
It's up to you to check about their future, they started years ago but was not that popular. After buying the name of Staples Center for 20 years contract that worth $700M, that is when the name became more popular. You can stake it too at their application.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: July 28, 2022, 09:50:07 AM
It is, and it ain't a problem. The business will still depend on the quality of the item they will sell just like how businesses are outside the internet technology. I mean, there are good products they are selling but I have also experienced bad things.
Social or gathering. It's normal that they will use it as a platform to sell anything because people these days spends more of their time there.
It makes life easier for people who are busy with their jobs and it gives opportunity to those who lost their income during the pandemic.
