721  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at its ATH of 2023 so far on: December 05, 2023, 09:21:16 PM
ATH and defining just 2023 is a contradiction but I get the idea.  We have been rising this whole year on the lows if not the highs so its not too surprising and out of line to make a high at this end of year and also main markets are far more positive I think.    Dollar index is rising slightly last I looked, its still possible we are capped.
Anyhow my main point would be we are operating still off the range first set by the actual ATH as is all time not one year.   The secret to BTC is one year is just a second in its life time, somehow this time traveler is older in its gait then we could imagine despite its appearance just within the last few years it acts like some ancient oak in its stature imo.
I will still refer to the Fibonacci lines from ATH to the low most immediately after, I think the extrapolation between those two would be most relevant now to its moves and where we might top out in 2023 before retracting, revising and then rallying probably further along in 2024.  I reckon we're outside the broad range of the price channel for 2023 so its acting like a breakout but usually a pullback occurs somewhere.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Money laundering in crypto casino on: December 04, 2023, 05:58:52 PM
Casinos dont conceal anything especially and arent fit for that purpose so I doubt there is much danger of it.  The mixer problem was they intended to hide sources and so on and it had happened prior that some users were questionable in their business so the trouble followed those bad sources apparently.
If anything the casino business is open and trying to show open bets, exact odds and outcomes to encourage confidence in their business it seems quite opposite to mixer concealment where they promise not to ever disclose the various traces to ins and out of all the coins mixed.  I dont see them as the same at all and the question would apply to every business probably in any case.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc vs dollars on: December 04, 2023, 05:44:21 PM
Every currency that existed has disappeared, I think thats just a matter of historical record.   Sterling has so greatly degraded from its original sterling silver origins that it has all but disappeared.  The russian Ruble for example is exchangeable at 10,000 to 1 for the pre existing Ruble from what it takes its name, ie. it no longer exists and this is a new currency with the same name and so on for every other FIAT money.  They all get trashed unfortunately, if you have a gold coin and it was cast right and so on then its going to keep that commodity value forever though some will argue its wasteful vs investing it or whatever but as money it stays otherwise all money disappears.     BTC rises largely because dollar is losing so much since its inception and thats arguably its usage in this unique time we may well see the end of some major currencies, Euro has problems YEN is already a zombie though all those countries are great the money system isnt and thats not especially hard to argue but the bigger debate is what better is there.   I wont argue against Dollar can be around decades more.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with the exponential appreciation of Bitcoin? (for the oldest on on: December 04, 2023, 12:40:46 PM
To fit into this part of the forum it would have be the marketplace effect globally on an appreciating asset used as currency.   The strange twist to this question is 100 years ago, not that long a while but its still just about in living memory of the very oldest people but anyhow this also applied to US dollars.  Dollars at one time gained in value not the constant loss we see now.  So its not just about Bitcoin, it could be about even the most common money of all in theory.
The only relic of that old dollar is the debt ceiling deal they have to keep renewing because nominal numbers have no ceiling any more, everything just keeps going up and debt is never repaid in dollar government terms anyhow.

So what tends to happen with a good currency is people hold onto what they earnt or acquired and choose carefully when spending.  Its still quite possible to spend BTC and rebuy it at a cheaper price, even within the trend rising theres been a ton of times you could do this.   So I can remember BTC under 100 dollars, not as low as some though I did mine BTC when it was pennies but I failed to keep it sadly.   I'd say people do spend BTC because some things are essential and even possible some items have a greater utility then the asset which is rising.  I got a monitor using BTC as my old one was CRT, I would be blind by now if I hadnt got something better then 15" size for viewing webpages.  I had plenty chance to buy back the BTC I spent, thats the main thing its not always rising constantly, average back in is fine imo dont be too stubborn about it.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 04, 2023, 08:37:46 AM
Malaysia being the host is good to see, that never happens in CS and we need more variety imo.

CS2 fully more erratic results then any prior version is something one major commentator just came out and said the obvious its a game thats going to be all over the place until next Spring imo.  From my own play and bugs still existing in the game that alter pro plays its too much variance to be sure of who will win or find a path in each game each map to their advantage.  All the pro players are extremely close to begin with, upset the balance and anyone can win in theory.
However saying that I'll go with Attax to win vs Entropiq on Monday, its the older team by far.   Entropiq are formed in July with most pro players taking a break over summer for some time, add in a new game, new feel and dynamics I think the teamplay and experience lends a large enough advantage to Attax to come through with a win.

Nobody is scamming you really over 0.001 BTC really their reputation is worth a little more.   Ask for help with the specifics you have, be polite and Im pretty sure with some patience you will get some help with the problem you are receiving.   Its best not to be taking external help though Im sure id5000 has the best intentions I dont think the power to help with a specific account is there.  I haven't myself tested withdrawals recently but maybe someone can say if they have proceeded ok or have any related problem.

Also both of freebitco.in withdrawal addresses slow and instant are empty since September.
They probably avoid hot wallet balance retention for security reasons.   I'd link previous discussion of this if I could remember when but I dont think it is a one off.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 03, 2023, 11:36:59 PM
Sounds like good strategy to me, solid numbers means you would have eternal regret if they ever won and you had neglected to play that particular week.   As I understand it the random pick is no less luck then just sticking to the same numbers every week.   There is no strategy especially that gains an advantage over another choice in any particular week, you would require some unique insight and massive statistically data analysis calculations to perform correctly and even then its still luck.
728  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: December 03, 2023, 10:45:51 PM
The speculative allure of trading the big numbers.   We are here finally at 40,000  took the whole year but it has arrived.   With all the numbers lit up on the scoreboard do people take profits now, its completely arbitary but absolutely possible that is what occurs now.
Personally I do not rate the power of round numbers, it can be underlined as obvious nonsense in the bigger picture but near term it can be a thing to trade in a fairly concrete way.   40k could be the top for now, this week or even the month we could trade lower from here in larger or small part drift downwards.
I'm interested if this big number effect is still alive and for the moment thats what Im looking at going from weekend trade into working weeks leading upto the holidays.
729  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 03, 2023, 09:02:33 PM
Same applies to money you deposit to a bank, I just think its good we get anything for the yield in addition for the loyalty benefits thats compensation I guess and in any case the token would rely on this site for its value in the majority anyhow so its not greatly adding to risk really.

The highest bet I made for Nov came out correct in the end, near 40k but that was too near to expectations so not a great payoff more of a break even scenario.  However when the price goes up the bet won in effect is worth more so I wont complain too much.   Trend is up and its harder to bet against that, during December will be hard to say but again I think there is a ceiling to discover resistance against.
730  Economy / Economics / Re: China's real-estate sector is NOT doing well, it might bring whole economy down on: December 03, 2023, 06:27:03 AM
USA doesnt have a dictatorship its just a heavily government dominated economy, quite a few countries exist in that way it doesnt have to preclude democracy but I think when a country undermines capitalism it leads to that path.  Its clear the currency earnt by the common working man, family or population is being misused and spent underneath the savings and attempts of those who would use that plain cash as their principal worth after receiving plain wages.  If you own assets in the majority you are massively better off then those stuck in cash I think.
The dictatorship is the control of the money, alot of things stem from that even abroad thats true that the dollar is vital to control and denial of trade to unfriendly regimes.  Russia is trying to use gold as a proxy most likely, they decided that policy long ago and any invasion they carry out is with knowledge of difficulties with Dollar.  Similarly China has for over twenty years been the largest buyer of gold and for a long time the largest producer with little exports they are accumulating massively.   China can underpin the majority of the commodity market fairly easy, they just buy so much more then anyone else and often try to dominate and manipulate prices even with treasuries they have been censured for illegal practices when dealing from what I remember.
Its probably the case that most of NATO sees Dollar actions as required in parallel to defense otherwise.  War games include economic policy and actions that could take place as its quite valid.  So I think dollar is being mismanaged, there's multiple bad policies and over spend but its not just one country doing that its tolerated and propagated across the globe on purpose.
731  Other / Meta / Re: Was the forum better before without Merit or is it better now with Merit? on: December 03, 2023, 12:23:10 AM
Better after but also I remember the newest members had a special forum section and only posted there, to some extent that was good containment and discouragement to start new accounts and spam.  I guess that was and still is the largest problem.  Merit isnt perfect but its generally a good idea to have some limited scoring to posts, I do think it should be a little more liquid for anyone active but I understand it has to lean on the hard money side of balancing things rather then letting it all be too loose and becoming not a worthwhile marker or commodity to circulate on the forum.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 02, 2023, 11:55:31 PM
If you cant do partial payout and you do actually need this money in the near future now or in next months then yes cash out.  Well done but if you are thinking you need the money then stay sensible.   Genius once can be repeated and best thing is to exit with excellence and remember it as a positive bet outcome.  Losing at this point would be a negative and make you forget what got you here to start with.   Of course this your decision depending on if the money is spare and just leisure or you are requiring usage and payment of bills etc.
733  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 02, 2023, 11:45:41 PM

everybody is bullish.

Words the forum should always red highlight, maybe flashing ASCII codes are in order Tongue     Yea to say we got to pullback is a cliché at this point but its also true, I just hope things stay sensible because I want the bigger longer term gains not the scary spiky stuff that does not stick because its pure froth.

We're approaching a 2 year anniversary of this price range, not quite 24 months but its nearly that long and we might need to take a similar time to move through the area.

So I imagine we do hit those rough tops or ranged prices we did that while ago, repeat revise and eventually surpass.   See the last bar to 2022 price action is a giant red bar downwards, thats what we expect to see when accelerating through support or resistance and now upwards I'd expect some giant green bar to pass this potential ceiling.   Its all potential but I think thats a reasonable outlook.

Prior range that contained in some similar way
734  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: December 02, 2023, 11:22:41 PM
No its still possible its just not many products can beat oil for the price.   Coal in theory has a higher calorific value and enables much of the energy however its not as portable exactly despite the higher energy the efficiency is usually less developed then modern engines have become.  Neither is perfect exactly, the Chinese have found other ways to utilize the best agriculture efficiency regardless of energy type by having dual crop growth that compliment each other continually.    Dont ignore solar for importance, LED bulbs are used to accelerate growth in some cases modern farms are not the same simple things they once were.

If we were going to argue on oil as the energy type for growing food we cannot ignore fertilizer which is another type of fuel type the plants need to grow year after year in the same soil and be as productive as possible.  Obviously we recognize sun as vital and water, all combined make this picture far more then just oil yes or no to success in your crop production.
735  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: December 02, 2023, 09:00:11 PM
He doesnt have to be an expert in all those subjects he just needs to bring together those who can and manage the product vs cost well enough to call it a success.   I never thought Tesla should especially do well vs the ease and size of its competition but I forgot or missed the detail of the massive amount of subsidy Tesla gets for being the first to deliver its products.  If he can build on that advantage of being first it means alot, I wouldn't expect it to always be enough and after a couple decades it could still mean Tesla is replaced and is not a brand just a subset of a larger firm etc.
The example Im thinking of historically is Packard who preceded Ford in their success but did not maintain that level forever.  Last seen 1958, long time ago but still important historically and probably true as a possibility of Tesla.

Hiding or not the URL is I agree a bigger deal then all the rest because its a universal problem rather then Elon says something silly etc.
736  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: December 02, 2023, 07:38:48 PM
I dont think its ever happening by government order, I realize we have one country thats done it at least but widespread I dont follow that many countries will.  Just because its mostly does not benefit that regime and also the people themselves wont be the originators of this currency, even gold and silver was debated while being mined in those places it was used.  BTC will be seen as something external in many countries especially if not benefitting from electronic production themselves.   I'd say BTC does go with hydro power or many types of energy which might otherwise be isolated and so those communities should or could be using BTC but not everyone will agree and overall renewal power is still minority by far, if we all had wind power on the roof therefore we can mine cheap then yes I agree with OP.
100k can occur anyway, doesnt require government or laws to make it a feasible price that occurs sometime.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: December 02, 2023, 01:47:10 PM
Got to worry about someone asking you to give up something that causes no harm to them or anyone else.   Reduce time from outright obsession I understand that and not everyone loves sports but I'd never ask someone to give up something big like that if it makes them happy its the most important thing.    Of all the alternatives people get upto, most obviously drinking etc. watching sports is so simple and harmless.  I'd include a small bet in that personally though that may vary for some.   Sports betting is profitable as it all has a margin on there but I'd say it's one of the best efficient or least premium cost most of the time.
738  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Bitcoin always affected on: December 01, 2023, 11:18:13 PM
The larger BTC gets the more wallets you have with spare change in there it is more stable because of that almost by accident as people have other concerns to take of.   Speculators who over buy, cannot hold on because they are paying leverage costs will drop and reverse their buy much quicker then a casual user of BTC.   Ideally we only really count growth for BTC when its serving a greater number of people then it was the year before, the broader the population of users the better.  Speculators arent actual users, its why I worry that people take investment funds as some greater positive then they are, real people count far more.
Its less dramatic, I say spare change and in many cases I mean quite tiny amounts.  The speculators and whales, the big talkers and movers even though they are big and make waves I care less about them then just incidental normal users I think the long term lies with real people simple as that.
739  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 01, 2023, 08:24:48 PM
I voted positive because Im not apprehensive especially.  I would include in the positve outlook, a gain which reverses back to neutral thats still a positive to many.    The reason Im more positive at this moment is we have left behind the 35k area which had a gravity that could have contain us or even capped all gains in that area.   Now we are past that level I think nearer to 40k is possible and we can achieve that before month end which makes December a positive month more likely then not.

43.2k is my target as this relates to the higher end of a range of daily prices seen to trade in early 2022.  We had been contending with the lower range but higher end now seems fair with us moving more freely in between these two points.
740  Economy / Economics / Re: Insurance is important on: November 30, 2023, 11:58:25 PM
I would extend this concept further to money itself.  The assured value overnight of a currency is what makes it widely held and in demand, the highest value to money is its security dynamic.  When a currency becomes unstable through inflation or any kind of instability that undermines its main purpose as security over night and beyond in peoples lives it starts to lose its core value.   Insurance and money have a strong relation in raising the assured nature of a persons livelihood and confidence to purchase, to partake in the economy and value their work within that economy via the money they receive and are able to trade.  Alot of people feel the same about health care plans personal and for a family, strong relation to insurance of course
