721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum - why buy coins? on: April 07, 2017, 12:34:54 PM
Is it as big as Bitcoin ?
not even close!

Quote
Should we buy some tokens ?
right now, no because it was recently pumped and now the price is in a bubble which means it will only go down from here with some small come backs (dead cat bounces). and you can see it already going down hard because it is getting dumped these days.

generally again no. because it is a manipulated coin, and the coin itself is centralized unlike general altcoins.

Quote
Looks like Ethereum can be mined as well.. what is the profitability like, has to be better than Bitcoin at this point, plus good to reuse all those miners hardware ?
mining ethereum was very profitable at first but i think it is nearing the end since the difficulty is higher now and price is not really as high as before.
and when it comes to mining you have to consider the electricity cost too.

Why would you say Ethereum is centralized ? Isn't it the same like Bitcoins, once you have ethers in your wallet you can send them to whoever you want ?

Is the ethereum supply capped to a maximum like bitcoin ? Or is it they just "mine" as much as they want.

From what I understand the Ether is supposed to be "fuel" like but is being traded at the moment like currency. I guess no harm in that. Since Microsoft etc have joined it, seems like it is here to stay, given its API innovation over Bitcoin.

if you already know the answer, why ask?
yes, etherium is a centralized scam crap the big whales and banksters people want it to take down bitcoin.
every big projects using or related to ethereium are getting burned pretty badly. people are moving on when they realized it's just crap created by some little kids living in their parent basement.
oh, it don't even have a plug and play wallet, it never will. it's seem some big stuffs(dark force) are behind this coin/token but in reality it have nothing and offer nothing, hint, the no plug/play wallet.
the people will continue to be fool by this scam many years to come as long it still list in poloniex.

the good part about etehriuem is that mining is very profitable as the banksters keep throwing their free money into it.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short, one-sentence descriptions/summaries of the Top 30 altcoins on: April 07, 2017, 12:30:01 AM
I thought it might be a good idea to make a list of short, one-sentence descriptions of the most important altcoins. This idea isn't new, but most of the existing lists out there are old and outdated. Of course, it's possible to search the name of each coin on Google and go through the links one by one or read through each coin's [ANN] thread but this can be a rather tedious process. So I think this would save people some time.

Since the list is always changing, I'll try to update it every few days/weeks.

The coins in red are ones that I don't know much about, so they currently lack a description. I might add their description later on. Feel free to suggest a short, one-sentence description and I'll add it to the list. If there are any mistakes or I've left something important out, then feel free to point it out as well.

723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless Alt-Coins that will be dead in 6 months to 1 year on: April 06, 2017, 11:31:37 PM
Ethereum, because 1,2,3,4 and growing competition in smart contract coins

Calling Ethereum a useless coin in 6 months to 1 year? Are you sure you read the main post no.1. I request you to re-read it.

Regards.
If you can't handle the truth - don't make topic.

724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DASH crypto-son "SibCoin" is conquering Asia on: April 06, 2017, 10:09:46 PM
never heard of it before and by the sound of it don't seem to be worth much.

congratz to Jae at Cosmos for raising so much ICO funds, 17 Million in 30 mins!  This is a great indicator that interoperability AKA. SmartBridge will be huge this upcoming year and ARK has had a great head start.

is cosmos related or working with ark? please share the link or info with us?
i don't think cosmos ico is legit, it more of creating hype at beginning then dumping little by little on exchange when open, or perhaps it creating hype so poloniex could pick them up. this is more profits than the actual ico.

Jae is the creator of tendermint and is creating a blockchain platform very similar to ARK.  I doubt they are a scam but probably VC funded.  ARK imo is better distributed but I don't doubt the legitimacy of the cosmos project.

ARK has nothing to do with the Cosmos project but who knows right? Cheesy

wise all lucks whose have involved. to be victim of scam is hurts like shit.

Congrats to the top 50 of the ARK March Madness contest especially first place winner who won 17,500 ARK.  I will send out an email to all winners on how to claim your ARK in the next 24 hours.  For those who didn't win, there will be more contests for more chances to win some precious ARK.

-tb-
did I win!? ...wait... did I enter?.... Sad

17,500 ARK is almost a $1000. not bad at all.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTA Releases 3 Whitepapers - Bata Barter Platform, Profit Share & POW/POS Hybrid on: April 04, 2017, 03:05:27 AM

Really rude to spam a completely unrelated thread with your coin's propaganda and it doesn't reflect well on that project at all.

Anyways, the whitepapers for BTA are looking great Smiley keep up the good work.

lol
this is also a spam post. you fight spam with spam
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is BitBay price so low? on: April 03, 2017, 12:25:54 PM
I've been researching coins deeply and this coin offers so darn much! Why is it falling on the top 100 list? Why isn't it on the top 10? Can someone explain this to me?

because the dev is a serial scammer. this dev have ton of coins. the two coins come to mind created or maintain by this guy are blackcoin and crave. search for David Zimbeck on google.

even the coin can do anything in this world as promised, though it can barely doing anything at this point. you can't fix serial scammer like him. market or ebay style not working yet and it never will.

obviously you have not researched this at all... and are spreading false information. Bring evidence or you should be banned. That post by barabus is a pile of junk many believe he is bob anyway.

Scam accusations of this nature are serious. You need corroborating evidence.

Dzimbeck could have left bitbay when bob,lin and steven left with their hundreds of btc that were meant for the furtherment of bitbay.

He stayed and has coded for 3 yrs and is still there coding.

How is that a scam and who did he scam??

The others bob lin stephen ..took the bulk of the btc and tons of bitbay and have been dumping it on the bay community and him for 3 years.

I don't know how you can conclude he scammed anyone. Please come and explain yourself. That post you find by barabus that you are referring too says nothing other than he didn't like david still being part of blackcoin and not committing fully to bitbay. I agree on that point he should cut blackcoin free and focus only on bay now. Blackcoini has had enough for FREE. Such a scammer coding for free I agree lol. But to call him a scammer really should be a banning offense if you have no evidence to corroborate this.

If he had not stuck around there would be no bitbay and us bay ICO investors would have lost our entire investment. I'm a bitbay ico investor and I was scammed by those that left the project with the btc and free bitbay. David zimbeck has done all he can to recoup our investment over 3 years and bitbay is going to be a LOT More than just a decentralised marketplace. The scope for what will be possible when this software is complete is way beyond some ebay type environment. That is merely one possible use case.

To say it does not work is another lie. The market place works fine. Of course it will be improved and improved it is still at the very start.

Ebay is a pile of shit you can't sell fuck all on there. Try and sell some crypto for paypal and see what happens to your account and the costs incurred. Try to make an international purchase and watch all the charges mount up until it is hardly worth buyng the item. A decentralised marketplace where you can sell what you want when you want for practically free? yeah sounds terrible.

Add to that the rolling peg and all the other myriad of features like decentralised voting etc and this will be one of the best projects to come.

Bring here the person or persons scammed by dzimbeck and I will agree with you until then you should retract your statement.

so you saying you can sell a computer on bitbay now? please post any item and post photo here as not everyone able to use bitbay market. what you saying is david is looking for new bagholders so people like you could get out, i doubt it's going to work. i compare bithalo, blackcoin, bitbay and crave all idea and graphics seem to be done by one person. you can't just squeeze one idea into many coins and make all special.

735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keeping My ShadowCash on: March 31, 2017, 04:12:31 PM
Shadowcash is switching to particl. You can swap your shadowcash for particl right now. But I don't like particl, and the new platform. I'm keeping my shadowcash and my node running.

Right now there is a total supply of 6,642,140 sdc and the devs recieved 4,027,405 sdc for the swap. Well my sdc just became more valuable. I can't see the devs using the swapped funds or the new particl community will have gotten ripped off. So I'm keeping my node and sdc. If there are more people that want to keep their sdc, post your comments below and if the response is good, well lets start a new ANN and keep sdc moving.

shadowscam
from cinni, cloakcoin, shadowcash and now particl
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's ARK / LISK / ETH on: March 31, 2017, 01:06:03 PM
in summary the only reason why Ethereum is bigger is that they have a lot of money to manipulate the market with the in exchange manipulation of price and in social media spaming to advertise it as a good platform but in reality anything else is better than Ethereum and does the same thing better.

i haven't checked out Ark much but i know Lisk does it better at least.

it's true. etherium is heavy manipulating by the banks and poloniex.
