721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CNC contains clipboard logger? on: May 02, 2013, 10:24:30 PM
I just had a thought - if the dev is from China creating a crypto may be highly illegal there - hence his anonymity and not willing to post to the forum too often. Just a thought I had that makes sense.
Never considered that.  Now there is some logic to it.

TTT

Someone needs to examine this.

0.25 BTC

It needs a nice gui like the QT wallets, then it will really succeed.  The hacky afterthought GUIs are kind of weird.

Anyone wanna share how to mine this stuff....?
Hardly worth the efforts, but you never know.

Open your wallet app to start blockchain dl, then go to appdata directory (just hit start and type %appdata% and press enter), create file bitbar.conf with this info:

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9344
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

block_nTime=1317972665
block_nNonce=2084524493

then point your miner to 127.0.0.1:9344 assuming you are soloing on just that box.  The rest is normal scrypt mining, look into LTC mining.

729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to buy your BitBars (trusted forum buyer) on: May 02, 2013, 08:18:45 PM
Just got 10 for 3 BTC.

OMG 3 BTC?!?!?  You realize the long term potential of Bitcoins and how this 2-hour old coin total market cap shouldnt even be $300, let alone 10 bitbars..
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 02, 2013, 08:11:59 PM
What I find fishy is that in the OP, the message to announce was just PM'd to the OP guy here, who I guess has "nothing to do with it" and they mention that creating a new forum account to launch the altcoin sounds "fishy"...

welll..

why create a new account?  why not just, say, announce it with an existing account?  why do altcoins need to be posted with fresh accounts?
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 02, 2013, 08:09:49 PM
I actually really like the idea of this coin and am curious to see where it goes that being said I wish I got in at the beginning as im having no luck here.

In at the beginning?  OP was like 2 hours ago lol, it's pretty close to the beginning and already whored out Smiley

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 02, 2013, 07:44:31 PM
find strange behavior with cards not getting up to speed.. if you have solo chncoin and solo bitbar both set up identically, the bitbar one doesn't get more than 20% of real power.  could this because the chncoin diff has adjusted to a more realistic number?

this thing still going?  auction ended before serious bids even walked up to the plate.. although we aren't near the 10 BTC "start bid" maybe if this auction goes on for a month we might get there.
