I believe Tom got a "community save" from his antics last night.. hopefully to finally come to a sense of ending with this whole shit storm..

722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC customers - Are you quitting or switching? on: January 23, 2013, 08:18:41 PM
lol @ "forum will be locked down since there is no reason for communication"

Well - that wouldn't be a new concept to any of us... you know.. that whole "communication" thing..

723  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 03:50:10 PM
Cablepair's account is compromised. Please treat any correspondence with him as fake until we can confirm that he has obtained control back to his account.

FWIW, I don't believe it.  I think it was really him posting.

I hope you guys can restore the posts if that proves to be the case.  I think they're important for ppl to see.

+1 concur.. However -  I understand trying to contain the obvious shitstorm that would follow such a rampage, the threads could have been locked vice removed.

Then much like BFL, there should be one thread dedicated for anything/everything Tom and bASIC. (just my opinion).

724  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 04:21:02 AM
just KNOW THIS

this is a FUCKING SHAME in the worst kind

we have a completed design and wafers that are nearly completed and chips packaged
all this is grinding to a halt due to mob mentality and massive refunds
i had a good friend who literally has millions of bitcoins step in and say he would save the project

well threads like this have encouraged 90% refund rate, so guess what happens now

I will be forced to sell 16,000 packaged Brute force SHA-256 Bitcoin mining chips to a single buyer who will no doubt use them for their own mining purposes, I dont want to do it but I will have to just to pay the refunds. This mob mentality may be the end of Bitcoin. We will see what this person does with these 16,000 ASICS. but just use your imagination

Oh well - thanks for playing though!  kthxbye!

If only you could communicate PROPERLY with your customers...

You made a Wiki - nothing of substance ever on it

You made a forum - nothing but "coming soon updates" & "we're close, going to beat BFL!!!111!11!1"

You have access to everyones email addresses that pre-ordered.. no mass email about status and updates???

Complete fumble-ru-ski on the refunding process.. barely any communication at all..  Dave doing the best he can but in the dark..

Let's revisit early Jan when you decided to clear some bottles and then come online and attempt to post complete thoughts AKA sentences which essentially spelled out you were fucking beyond lost and were selling the company to some "ASIANs"  - you think anyone in the right mind set would WANT to be a part of whatever you are doing anymore given how unprofessionally you handle things??

Then you have Dave and Lukas fly in for meetings which did not end well due to you being AWOL the next day...

What are you honestly expecting at this point?

Forum vomit some minuscule details about your project that you strapped some C4 on and blew away earlier this month and expect.. "oh yay, ASICs! shut up and take my money again Tom!!"...  Nope.

725  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 04:11:41 AM
we have always made good on our refund policy

the only delays that have been experienced are the BTC refunds because we needed to buy some more BTC

all CC refunds are made as soon as they are requested

and for reference I am on completely good terms with my CC Processor.

MODS REMOVE THIS THREAD PLEASE ITS ONLY GOING TO HURT CUSTOMERS IN THE LONG RUN

this will be the last post I post on here

You should of seen this forum a couple years ago, it was an amazing - positive place. Its a shit hole right now because of threads like this

Tom - are you fucking serious right now?  Have you completely checked out of reality?  Are you starting on another bottle?

This post should absolutely NOT be removed.  Given the "locked down" state of your forum and blatant disregard for active communication, users that don't use IRC have NO WAY of communicating with other bASIC pre-order customers at all.   This post should also STAY to serve as history for when people may think severely make a huge mistake about throwing their money at you again down the road.  Talk about a desperate cry for censorship (trying to get this thread removed) in a weak attempt to make yourself look like you are handling things properly, quickly and efficiently.. which CLEARLY you ARE NOT and HAVE NOT..  stop the bullshit Tom..

Talk about this place being "positive".. well it doesn't help when people like you take the opportunity to completely mishandle and fumble at every turn to assist in making things "less positive"..

Threads like this are helpful here, especially this one which was birthed solely due to your neglect and incompetence..

Bottoms Up!

#xx7, placed in Sept 2012 for 3x72gh

Requested refunds 8 Jan (AM)

No official reply via email or any other means

After a couple days of waiting, intiated disputes with two CC companies which provided credits (3 x 72gh)

Received an email from one CC company stating 1 of the 2 orders on that card was refunded by merchant.. so, I assume 1 of 3 orders were officially refunded.

Piss poor operation as whole ran by Tom to say the least...  outside the whole ASIC side of things.. a kid running a lemonade stand would run a better business than Tom..

728  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 20, 2013, 05:47:32 PM
Maybe he's converting all the BTC to amazon Gcards??? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asT9B3_S-cI

lol - how far one can fall.. his name on any project going forward is 110% risk for everyone involved.
729  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 19, 2013, 04:22:21 AM
Bahahah - Tom is a lost cause.. wow..

Entertaining nonetheless now..

730  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC from POLAND on: January 16, 2013, 11:41:42 PM
Is Tom posting drunk again under a diff alias?

731  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 16, 2013, 12:28:57 PM
No status change here either since my last update:

1 of 3 refunds received.

However working with chase/visa and discover there are open disputes/investigations ongoing (an d I have been credited what is owed back to me)
732  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC customers - Are you quitting or switching? on: January 14, 2013, 08:02:03 PM
As stated before - if Tom's teeth were on fire, I wouldn't even try to help him out by pissing on his face..

His abortion attempt at the ASIC game was down right hideous.. I would almost welcome DBAG_Josh berating me as a BFL customer than to have dealings with Mr. Tom ever again.

Dave and some other helpful members have managed to keep people updated somewhat along with refund processing.. without them, I couldn't even imagine how things would be playing out right now..

For now, still GPU mining.. will re-eval when I see someone that actually ships something..

733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 14, 2013, 12:18:10 PM
No refund(s) yet here - but the CC company has started their dispute/chargeback investigation (and credited the amounts).

EDIT:

Received notification from Discover this AM that 1 of 2 orders have been "refunded from the merchant"

So - awaiting 1 more from Discover, and 1 from chase/Visa... both have disputes/chargebacks pending..

1 of 3 refunds received thus far..  (even though I have credits for all three pending chargeback investigations)
734  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 13, 2013, 02:14:36 AM
Given the latest news and no refunds back on my CC..

A big ol Fuck you to Tom - if your teeth were on fire, I wouldn't even piss on your face to put it out..

Chargeback city coming up
735  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 12, 2013, 07:37:36 PM

736  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 11, 2013, 05:03:29 AM

737  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bad news for bASIC - not shipping til mid Jan at best on: January 10, 2013, 09:21:04 PM
Get over it.  This guy is running with your money.  He doesnt have enough to refund everyone.  He probably has more refunds then whats left in the account.  The good thing about this is that people with credit card orders can prosecute him for fraud if he doesnt return their money.

+1

Focusing on refunds today.  I just want to illustrate a few points for the folks that are waiting for refunds:

-we have a lot of refund requests.  I'm looking at working straight through 2 to 3 solid days to process them.  Please be patient.
-in order to refund orders we must move money out of savings.  This takes time as it is a money wire.  Please be patient so we can finish this process.
-threats of chargebacks just slow everything down.  I now have to double check that a dispute has not been filed, prior to initiating the refund.  This should be an unnecessary added step, but now I have to do that too.
-a big batch of BTC refunds is being sent to Tom today.

Latest from Dave on a still locked down forum..

Boohoo on slowing things down regarding charge backs.. refunding should have been the number one priority the last couple days from TOM and DAVE and it clearly has not been..

739  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 10, 2013, 06:12:14 PM
So - Tipsy Tom instead of processing timely refunds is placing bets on his failures:
