Yacoin in 3rd place is interesting. Is that because people think it has a future, or because it is technically interesting?
Well, the way I see it is this: 1. Bitcoin is and Bitcoin will be. 2. Alternative to Bitcoin has to be as advanced as possible, implementing and experimenting with things Bitcoin is just to big to mess with. 3. Litecoin and many other altcoins are outdated. Difficulty retargeting once per day / hour / week and 2.5+ minutes block time are so 2012. +1

Massive annoucement to be made over the next two days directly involving BBQcoin and this could be the first time that something of this scale has ever been done. Keep an eye on bbqcoin.org's website posts, Facebook and Twitter for upcoming updates. Thanks.
Can't wait for the update, sounds big!

If eMunie works then all the other alt coins will be worthless.

I had to switch to another pool because I was earning more with their share difficulty. Now that yours is the same (31), I'm back here. It's weird how much your earnings are affected when share difficulty isn't set to something that's optimal for your hardware.

Vircurex decided to remove BBQCoin yesterday but changed their mind today. Price is rebounding Great news!

Just played on the site and it's very good! Had some good luck at blackjack, then some bad luck and then really bad luck at slots . The blackjack game played fair in my opinion, give it a try good way to kill time. (I used 5 BQC and the cashier on the site worked great)

Flashy corporate like gimmicks and vague buzzwords are not what crypto-currencies are about quite frankly. A little more transparency with identity and a more robust outline of what you are trying to achieve would make you look less like some kind of ex Enron middle management type.
Has anyone looked into if this "new client" might create a fork situation yet? Probably not the case but my gut instinct feels like there is some kind of misleading motive behind this or even possibly a scam. I will let someone more informed in those kind of things be the judge of that anyway.
Either way, like others have pointed out, this little "debate" is damaging the reputation and integrity of the coin.
Yea that's what i'm wondering about. The client we have now is fine what BBQcoin needs is a mobile payment app. The guys at BBQcoin.com should put all their effort into that for now. The mobile app is their next project, check out the first post.

nice, difficulty just went down Not for long since you said that it went up just a little. since noone has responded to my question about the mobile wallet, i'll put it on hold and instead focus on getting more support for this currency. I did, see my earlier post.

Check out coin pool monitor in the play store. It lists BBQ exchange rates as well as profitability. You can also keep track of your miner's.

Just a reminder for pool operators to come signup and list their pools.

You guys are going to be hurting BBQCoin a lot more than you will be helping it with this whole fustercluck
Growing pains We all want BBQ to succeed and at times keyboards move faster than brains There are no hard feelings and we will work with anyone that is willing to move BBQ forward in a positive direction.

so there are going to be updates to the client but the source code for the updates isn't going to be released? so much for open source. Now we know who really wants to control it. In relation to the article you should find out the connection between bbq.com and the foundation.
|
|
|
The source code is on the main page for anyone and everyone to download, it always has been.
Like I have said before, bbqcoin.org has never claimed to "own" bbqcoin, that is impossible, we just develop and support it and concentrate mainly on client developments, including getting it added on exchanges.
Clients can be complied from this code, both Windows and Linux.
So if i complied the source code that is linked on the. org site it will give me all the updates that are in the 0.6.3 update?
