The only reason eMunie is even mentioned here is not to get this communities approval, but to see if this 'highly intelligent' community can break it/game it/etc.
Can break or game what? You guys won't even answer basic questions, so how could anyone try to break the system? It doesn't have to be open source, as long as it is planned eventually, and a premine (imo) is not a big deal as long as a lot of the money is given away and the emunie developers won't have any control over the monetary system like ripple. Those things make sense from certain viewpoints regardless of what the majority of the get-rich-quick jokers here think. But not one actual formula for anything has been posted, or even any actual detailed mechanics, and ecoinomist essentially admitted in my thread that the monetary system will be centralized. That is a problem. Once the beta testing is done the whitepaper will be released, as eMunie is still going through changes releasing the whitepaper now will be pointless. The developer is a straight up guy who is trying to make a fair system for every one. I know my word doesn't mean much, but eMunie will be a game changer.

I've spent a lot of time, invested a lot, will continue to invest a lot more, and have a long term plan of where I want this to go. Putting it out as open source to start with would leave eMunie and that goal open to being undermined by "script kiddies" that just rip it and copy/paste it and throw out their own. Wrong. As long as it's closed source it is by no way worth of any trust, hence nobody will use it, hence you will have wasted your time spent coding. Keeping it closed source will have exactly the effect you think it is preventing instead. Either you release the sources or don't bother releasing at all: it may or it may not be successful, but as long as it's closed, it's certain it won't be. You better let Microsoft know this, they could be losing billions.

That is disappointing about eMunie being closed source and pre-mined. We should rename it YAScoin (Yet Another Sh*tcoin)
Can u even read? They have been open and up front about what their intentions are before it is even released. Hardly a sh*it coin.

51% attack proof, work is spread out of the whole network so that means eMu is spread out to more people instead of a select few getting most of the rewards, transaction times 15 secs or less with no chance of double spend, inclient secure messages (later on will include file transfer), interest and inflation that will work against/with each other to help stabilize the price, coded by a developer with 25 yrs experience.

He is right, its called eMunie.

I think that's just for the beta, i have read the final client might be c++

That's why i lile eMunie, it's not scrypt but something totally new. It's backed by a very experienced and successful programmer who also has experience in marketing as well as contacts in the mobile market. Plus he has committed 200k of his own money to the project. In my opinion eMunie is the next step for cryptocoins.

I bet the first crypto that manages to pull out a working decentralized exchange will be the king of all. The rewards is a billion dollar cap. Let's see if it will be eMunie , sounds promising. Definitely looking forward to this!

Launch date?
did u read op?

- Decentralized P2P exchange
this is perhaps the most innovative idea of all cryptos to date. How would it work in practice? Assuming I'm a regular Joe who just got interested in emunie, how do I buy emu? Don't know all the details but there is talk on the eMunie forum that an exchange will be built right into the wallet.

Some great new features especially the interest. Hopefully you can pull it off. Will be watching this thread.

Specialized as in more CPU, Memory and IO performance yes.
The point is anyone can run a hatcher with pretty much any old hardware they want to. If some guys want to throw some SandyBridge servers at the job, they can too, but you don't need rigs of GPU's or ASIC's or stuff like that because they don't work with eMunie.
It's all CPU, Memory and IO....the best boost you could do is throw an SSD in a hatcher that will increase performance about 50%.
Can't wait for this to be released!

Are you going to develop this, or is it more an academic idea that you have put out into the wild? I'm looking for a coding expert who can generate a proof-of-concept client. Maybe when fuserleer is done with eMunie he can help u out

What kind of miners will be right for mining ?? CPU or GPU miners ?
I asked similar question before "SHA256 or scrypt", but this seems to be a totally different system. You'll need everything: CPU, RAM, HDD, etc... except GPU! For the first day.... Tell you what once my EE gets a breather I will release a gpu kernel for it for everyone. Good luck with that.

"Signing up" on this thread is not enough? What else changed since your starting post? He did make a post earlier in the thread tthat people should head over to the emunie forum to sign up plus i was sent a pm about the new forum.
