7241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Only Have Bitcoin on: February 10, 2019, 07:06:00 AM
Ok. He is Jack Dorsey co-founder and CEO of Twitter.

So him commenting about bitcoin is a welcoming news. There are even reports that he wants bitcoin to be the 'single currency' of internet so don't be surprised. What makes it specially though is because of his status. I'm sure lot of people will count this as a net positive for bitcoin and every bitcoin maximalist or purist are happy hearing this from Jack himself.
7242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Do You Think 2019 Will Be Different? on: February 10, 2019, 06:31:48 AM
For me crypto in 2019 will be in the middle of drop and bull... We don't know when but I feel that this is what will in crypto this year. And hopefully this year we can make a good profit or we can get back what we lose.

Yes, this could be the ongoing trend for the rest of the year because we haven't seen any recovery whatsoever, expect for a few pump here and there.

Of course there's always a way to recover and make money here, you just have to be smart and don't trade emotionally or just invest for the long haul. No need to day or short trading because it's not for everyone. Just buy in dip and continue to accumulate this year and wait till 2020.
7243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 10, 2019, 06:20:00 AM
I think this is mainly for promotion of their bank -- they are probably trying to appeal to the younger generations and give themselves a reason to stand out among other banks. More power to them. I won't click on the link because I boycott bitcoin.com but I wonder is it available to everybody for use or only registered account holders? I also praise the government of the Philippines for maintaining a rather "hands off" approach when it comes to crypto regulations.

Exactly, it looks like the current administration has taken this hand off approach as compare to other nations around. Perhaps this is a good marketing strategy as we all know that banking sector's competition is very tough and this is one way to get younger people and it could also bolster's crypto in the Philippines.

It could set a precedence, but we all know that Security Bank has distance itself from crypto as evident that it's no longer supported by coins.ph.
7244  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need some schooling advice on: February 10, 2019, 03:53:58 AM
I don't know but If I'm your parents I would have you finish your high school or even college before pursuing your dreams. Well, that's what I learn from parents though, education is important.

Again, I don't know why you want to go online schooling. Much better if you go on a traditional education. So I can't give you advise though, as long as you set your goals then go for it. Good luck to you.
7245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Everyone agrees that bitcoin rise will help the all crypto currencies to rise? on: February 10, 2019, 03:28:46 AM
From yesterday the price of bitcoin got increased upto $400 due to the speculation of ETF approval by SEC which made all the other crypto currencies to bump with the same level of bitcoin so which shows that if bitcoin prices recover all the crypto currencies will be able to recover.

I don't know where you get that $400. From $3400-$3700 so that's around $300 only.

Do you agree that?

But I would have to agree with you that if bitcoin made a recovery run, other crypto's will follow suit that will make crypto alive and kicking again. But sadly though, it looks like the momentum has dried down a bit as bitcoin price momentarily hovers around the $3600 price. So we need to wait a bit longer to see a nice recovery of the market.
7246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange trading Question. Anyone? on: February 10, 2019, 03:14:07 AM
Seems when BTC goes up in value Doge drops....What am i missing?? Seems it would be plain as day but i'm not a pro in trading obviously.

Perhaps a reason DOGE is going down when BTC is going up is that people are selling their DOGE to buy BTC.

This is the best logical answer here. Investors do shift their positions to where the money is.

So if bitcoin is making a good run, investors will sell their DOGE and move to bitcoin and ride the wave for as long as they can. If the price of bitcoin then goes down, they immediately liquidate their positions and then spread it out again and maybe goes back to DOGE.
7247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Implant microchip- Bitcoin wallet? on: February 10, 2019, 03:04:05 AM
Hello all!
I have just heard about microchip in a hand which you can use for Bitcoin payments.
Have you heard about it? Do you know where to order?
I have heard that it is classic microchip for dogs/cats but you have to modify it, but how?

This discussions have been going on for years and I don't know if someone has successfully implemented it. I'm not sure about it though, you can call me conservative by I'm not willing to have my body implanted with microchip.

I'm sure there could be a more convenient alternatives to this, perhaps a simple wallet in your phone is enough to make transactions.
7248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction about BTC price!!! on: February 10, 2019, 02:58:39 AM
In the last few years, along with the bitcoin all other altcoins have emerged, I have a good idea about the issue, that is crypto currency really unpredictable. When bitcoin $ 10k thought it was the right price, then it grew two times, and even when bitcoin started to decline, I thought it could not fall below $ 8k. Both of my ideas were wrong.

It just proved has difficult to predict the price of bitcoin. And also take note that there's no expert here and you should not listen to those who says the bitcoin will go to x price in this y amount of time.

In fact, crypto is not in the position, it's its own speed. So you do not need to think too much or time here. You have to take important decisions in a short time. Smiley

Definitely, that's why we just need to go with the flow and adjust our strategy based on the market sentiments.
7249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: February 09, 2019, 10:30:16 AM
It seems to me that the cryptocurrency market will begin to recover in mid-2019. It would be very cool, because everyone is waiting for this.
Maybe by this 2nd month of the year we'll see significant recovery and it will happen up to the end of the year *crossing fingers*. It's cool when we see a good pump for the market especially for bitcoin. It is what everyone wants because if bitcoin pumps, all necessary altcoins will also share the pump and will increase its price too.

And just like that, Feb has been a good start for us specially in the last 24 hours as the price of majority of coins are picking up and pumping and it's good to see the market somewhat recover and going green again.

However, it's still a long way to go, maybe this is the start of a bull run, maybe not. My point is we should wait, eventually this bear market has to end and it could be in 2019-2020. So everyone should stick and not to be disappointed of this long bearish season.
7250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on [BNB] Binance Coin. +14% up on: February 09, 2019, 10:25:18 AM
Probably another good news that pushed the price of BNB to spike in the last couple of days.

And now there's a rumor on Bitcoin ETF approval, that's why the price of bitcoin and the rest of the crypto is up 7%-15%, so I'm sure BNB will still continue to rise and ride the wave of this positive sentiments right now.

And I agree that BNB is a promising coin because of the huge confidence of investors to this crypto exchanges.
7251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think this BEAR MARKET will LAST? on: February 09, 2019, 10:19:14 AM
While checking around, I came across some write-up of how long this bear market have been and we also get to know that this bear market is the longest.

I found out this: https://www.ccn.com/the-crypto-bear-market-wont-last/amp recently.

So what's your own opinion and say about how soon will the bear market be over?
I just skimmed through the article and came to a conclusion that we can still not predict of how long could this bear market be.
The trader was himself anonymous in the article and God knows if it's even true or not. Even if it is true then there are no guarantees in crypto.
We definitely don't know if the halving would increase or decrease bitcoin's price.

People are really putting a bet on bitcoin block halving because the last even was the catalyst for a bull run. So everyone is hoping that in 2020 will be the same, since we're still in the bear market.

I didn't clicked the link though, if there's something new the author has to offer, but based on what you said, I'll probably save my five minutes, not worth a read as we all know that the market price is really hard to predict.
7252  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: February 09, 2019, 10:14:56 AM
The price of the bitcoin increased 7% today and I can say that it is a good progress for the bitcoin. There is a high possibility that the market will comeback to normal like 2 years ago. There are many investors like me who keep hoping that the cryptocurrency market will continue to become green.

This bear market situation is somehow similar way back year 2017. My colleagues and I have a strong feeling that the market will slowly recover in the middle of the year. And as of today, we are now seeing a bit of improvement in the market, and hopefully it will continue to increase little by little.

2017? As far as I know it was the start of the massive bull run that ended at the end of the year so I don't know what are you saying here.

Currently, we have seen the price spike up a little, and everyone has very happy to see the price pushing 7% daily as we have not seen this for such a long time.

But don't get excited though, it might be a bull trap for all we know.
7253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally little fire on bitcoin got ignited on: February 09, 2019, 10:06:47 AM
I would have to agree with the majority that this is not a bull run, it's because of the Bitcoin ETF news of a 'eventual" approval. So again, people become to buy in anticipation but it will take more of that FOMO to keep the price going up in the next coming days.

So I have a mix emotions about it this, it could be a bull trap. But it's good to see crypto market going into green zone, but I wouldn't take that as a indication of a bull run.
7254  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Relationships on: February 09, 2019, 04:00:08 AM
It's hard to keep an IRL relationship let alone online. I know a lot of people who made it, they met someone online then met irl but that's not something I could do it.

I agree. I don't know but I haven't had a relationship based on online or something. I would rather see the person face to face, see him everyday and to be with her physically.

But I guess we can't say it's a bad thing though. I have friends who met their future wives/husbands in the net, but it's not my thing though. And they are still very happy up to this day so no negative things to it, and it's a case-to-case basis.
7255  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: February 09, 2019, 03:55:14 AM
This is one of the reasons why crypto market is really down ..  Because  of this exchange  hacking and other crypto theft new  invest are  afraid to come on board .. I dont see this as normal thing but i see this as institution manipulation against crypto .. its hard for a bank to be hack to steal such a huge money like that,  but its keeps happening in crypto  exchanges ... Institutional traders are afraid to put their asset on exchange .. so i think they must  put high quality  security measures in place ..

But we can't totally blame to the crypto hacks, the market is down simply because investors are reluctant to put their money because of the worsening market conditions.

Of course exchanges has security lapses, but as traders we can also prevent ourselves from losing money by just withdrawing if you have big amounts in an exchanges and put it into your control. Your money is at risk if you just left it out in an exchange so better used our common sense and due diligence so that we won't lose big amount of money if ever a exchange has been hack or breach.
7256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 09, 2019, 03:36:56 AM
Anyone watching the game live?

I just check the live score and its 109-98 and Milwaukee is leading with 6 minutes left. I guess everyone is exciting if @stadus will continue his roll or not. Goodluck to everyone who tailed again.
7257  Economy / Speculation / Re: new bullish run on: February 09, 2019, 03:29:54 AM
I'm not sure if you we can call it a bull-run though. It's just a bounce and we don't know if this is another bear trap being set-up by manipulators. I guess everyone have seen this pattern before, sideways for a long time and then a break out run.

But instead of a bull-run, it was just a trap and in the next 3 days or so, another sell-off occurs and manipulators and speculators book their profits before anyone can analyze and understand what happened.
7258  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2019 BITCOIN Price? on: February 08, 2019, 06:00:01 AM
I think that in December 2019, Bitcoin will either still be within the range of 3000-5000, or if a breakthrough occurs during the second half of 2019, its price may be above $ 10,000 by December. But, personally, I tend to the second option. I think the second option is more realistic.

As much as I wanted to see the price hits $10K again, I doubt that it can happen till the end of this year. We don't have catalyst at this point that will push it to that levels.

Heck, I won't be surprise to see the price just the same up to the end of 2019. I'm a permabull but we need to be realistic and used logic here, and we don't need to put high expectations like in 2018 so that we won't be disappointed, just saying.
7259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull is here on: February 08, 2019, 05:52:06 AM
Lets go bull! I am one of the bullish market supporter
Although i can't really push the market hard, but i have faith along with all the other HODLers Smiley

Of course, everyone here is perma-bull. We wanted to see the price of any coins to leap but sadly it's not happening because too many people are afraid to take risk and didn't see the beauty of this bear market in the long run.

I mean if you believe one could success even most others are neglecting it, why afraid and panic

Success will come definitely, we just have to wait and be patience. Because I'm sure that we will eventually see the market bounce back. So there's no need to be afraid and panic but take advantage of this situation.
7260  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anti-Scam Tools on: February 08, 2019, 05:47:49 AM
I guess the best anti-scam tool is your common sense. We all know that there are a lot of scammers plowing the crypto verse that's why we should always be attentive and think before clicking anything we find in the web, in our emails.

So it we used our brains then I think we could stay away from those criminals and we can be safe all the time, just saying.
