I am seeing that network diff is 6,404,536.6
and my best share on three of my L3+ are:
1,075,611,604 on 1st 5,916,014,328 on a 2nd 17,863,182,659 on a 3rd
all three are solo mining on ViaBTC but have "found" no blocks
I thought the share just needed to be higher than network diff - so, what am I missing?

Found one for $125, FYI. Already hashing away Thanks! nice - where at? I have never seen them under 300 Best offer on Ebay and they were used. Had to buy 3 to get this price though, no PSU. One has all the three light blinking, but hashing fine. i must have missed it, i tend to look both the terminus and the apollo up each day hoping to find em for cheap. good find.

add FCH for "define coin for pool" under SHA-256

except what is this Antminer K5 - I am starting to see it all over the place - with one exception - Bitmain (the supposed manufacturer of the K5) does not currently nor has ever listed a K5 miner.

where is this miner on their page? i have seen nor can find anything on bitmain pertaining to this miner, am I just blind?
Find them hosting on hashnest https://www.hashnest.com/hash ok so hashnest is selling miners to be hosted that even the manufacturer (Bitmain) is not selling nor has ever listed on their site?

they are eBay all day long for 300 and I believe in stock with a few vendors that sell for gekkoscience. but that is easily 350 from one of them.

I have been running S9's since end of 2017 - I will be retiring my last 2 S9's as soon as I buy miners to fill their slot on the shelf. I run all my miners on wifi - I have a range extender in my building that links to the house wifi and then I have a switch plugged into the range extender and then ethernet cables to the miners - latency is around 2 ms so not bad at all. the temps sometimes get high in the summer but they all vent directly to outside so the hot air is only from the sun beating down on the building. I use a 24" intake fan to blow air into the building and an ac unit to cool the building with a dehumidifier to pull out any moisture.
oh as for the hash rate, that is due to in the firmware from bitmain, there is an option to increase the hash rate by .5 th increments, i am running them at +2 th
Whoa so it's around 3 years around until now and really new information for me, I though it must using Lan cable since some people say it's more stable, So basically it's still good option to buy this ASIC I suppose, after hearing it can run very long, I will survey the place first for airflow problems before I buy it Thanks for the information! airflow is the most important factor - and temp/humidity is second. at least that is my opinion.

my S9's are still profitable but barely. each one is making me about 58 cents a day mining bitcoin. they are running at 16.7 to 16.8 TH/s and using 1460 watts. my electric is 5 cents per kwh as for internet, I run them off my house internet which has more than enough bandwidth.
Hmm, that was good hashrate i though it come out from factory with 14th/s?. I have free electricity access in my place but still afraid since some discussion say ASIC was really sensitive especially on unstable internet and the temperature, Can i ask how long you already mine with that? I planning to buy that since it's really cheap right now in my country (Around $150-$300, S9 + Psu + Lan cable), But still doing some research. I'm not really sure is there any profitable coin that can be mined with S9 so far, I mean it's have around 1400w power consumption, You need cheap electricity cost/kwh, Let's say with around 0.04 you can still get some small profit beside that it's also no counting internet fee, etc. It's different story if you have free electricity or really low electiry cost, Anyway what is electricity cost in your country?

even at 1/2 or 1/3 it will be quieter and even then if it still as loud as an s9 - it will still sell i bet because will want the power draw that is close to a s9 in lpm but with like triple the hash power. I might end up doing one just so i can run it as 3 miners - cuz I sure as hell cannot run it as 1 miner with over 3k watts.

Agreed but at 8500 a coin the new model does not look very special.
In 65-70 days ½ ing comes and the new gear barely turns a profit.
true - but my guess is that right after halving there will be newer versions. [...]
I would do it as well but I would not want anything other than official firmware - would the original firmware not work if there is only one hash board installed?

Maybe but they can raise the price of btc - remember its in their best interest to lower btc value when selling as well - lets then get more of our btc
|
|
|
Nah they will have a lot of trouble selling this gear. If coins are at 8500 no one will order.
To think they dropped btc price to kill off coupons makes less sense than jacking up price to sell more gear.
Unless they plan to pump BCH or BSV to sell gear.
easy, buy btc to raise the value so that their miners now look like a good deal.
|
|
|
what miner is the "C1" who is the manufacturer?
|
|
|
and wouldnt ya know it, bitcoin was over 10k for 3 straight days and all my coupons are expired but now btc is down - i think they have enough btc and cash to swing the market to make coupons all sadly expire right before new equipment, i have had over 30 coupons expire in same situation - a few days to a week before new gear is announced/released.

I tried emailing OP and asking about escrow and he said he will accept escrow for miners but not for shipping. That’s old textbook scam IMO
i agree - they get shipping up front and poof disappear - seen it a million times here.
