No and I hate all those game notifications I receive. I will play when Facebook accepts bitcoin and they do some neat version of a SimCity kind of game I agree with the notification part. You should be able to automatically blacklist all games notifications. I have had a enough of having 20 odd game notifications and requests every day.

Some of these are repeats... but they deserve being repeated! - Do encrypt (passphrase protect) your wallet. Don't use a simple passphrase. Don't use a passphrase you use elsewhere. Encryption helps, but understand that it doesn't prevent all types of theft.
- Do backup your wallet. Different wallet software work in different ways: some wallets you only need to backup once, others you need to backup after every new receiving address is created, and others are somewhere in-between. Understand how this works for the wallet software you've chosen, and be vigilant with your backups!
- Don't start off owning more BTC than you can afford to lose/have stolen. If you find yourself getting close to your personal limit, search for "cold storage" and find out how to use it. Don't put this off until it's too late.
- Do choose one of the wallet options from the official choose-your-wallet page here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. Not all online wallets are bad, however Do heed the warnings on this page regarding some of the less-safe online wallets. Choosing an online wallet does not exempt you from backing up your wallet.
- Don't download programs from the Internet. This rule is difficult to follow 100%; just be aware that each new program you download and run could be the one that steals your BTC.
Regarding that last rule, here are some guidelines that can help you decide how (un)safe a download is. Note that these are not hard-and-fast rules! - Do research a program before downloading it. Are there a lot of websites discussing it if you search for it? Does it have a Wikipedia page that wasn't created yesterday? If either answer is No, Do be more suspicious of it.
- Software that is open source, especially if the answers above were No, is generally more trustworthy, but Don't assume that something is safe simply because it's authors claim it's open source!
- Software that is written in a popular scripting language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript, etc. is generally more trustworthy, but Don't assume that something is safe simply because it's a script unless you can read and fully understand the entire script! Never download and run something claiming to be a script if it's actually an EXE file.
- Do look at the number of pages in a thread before downloading any software referenced on the first post of the thread. More pages means a smaller chance of the software being malware (but there's always still a chance it could be malware!). Do avoid software with only a few pages worth of posts - let someone else be the guinea pig!
- Do look at the Activity count and the Date Registered of users when trying to decide if they're trustworthy, and be more suspicious of Newbies, but Don't automatically assume that a Hero Member is 100% trustworthy.
- Do err on the side of caution/paranoia. It only takes one piece of malware to steal all of your BTC even if you've encrypted your wallet and even if you're using two-factor authentication.
- If you've decided to risk downloading something, Do take the time to find the single official download link or website.
Sorry if I sound scary... most people around here are the honest type, but there absolutely are scammers around here too. Use common sense, and have fun! Really great information you posted. Color coded too!

If this did really work there would be no gambling sites because they would be bankrupt because everyone would be using this method.

This way a third party has your private key which is a big no no. they can just input private key and withdraw from your wallet.
No, split-key generation is being used here. Properties of elliptic curve cryptography allow you to keep a private key, and provide the vanity searcher the corresponding public key. They search until their hash(their public+your public) has the right prefix in base 58, then they provide you the private key they found. You then combine their private key half (which they provide to you) with the one you kept secret. My mistake I see now that is does use that. thanks for pointing that out.

Lately im tired of seeing this boring games tied at 0-0 at the end of second half, better to start watching the game 2 hours after it start, the last 30 minutes, and dont waste your time.
I agree its been boring but the extra time with the belgium game made up for it. this is a strange world cup because everything is being decided in the extra time.

Stunna clearly said the enrollment list doesn't matter, just as long as you know you have enrolled via Google Forms.
People are saying that you need to still submit when redirected to the claim page. I didn't do that the first time.

Signature ad campaigns at bitcointalk.org... but I see you already found out about that opportunity... Another well-paying option is product reviews coupled with amazon affiliate links. All you need is a simple website/blog to do that. It needs some time before it runs well though. But this can generate much more income in relation to effort than games/virtual worlds. ya.ya.yo! I've never heard anyone make much from amazon affiliate links. Do you have personal experience with this?

eh laptops are disappointing.. more expensive now, and there's always some sort of flaw that makes it a pain. i like my current laptop, but it's too big considering it's a 13.3 "ultrabook."
I've never had a problem with my laptops being too big. But they are getting more expensive and becoming a pain to replace and they are more prone to drops and bangs because they are portable.

Never heard of them before but I think I just found a awesome service which indeed we can use in the future.

If bitcoin reaches that amount, there is going to be lot of rich anarchists and libertarians. I imagine that will have interesting political consequences...
That is why I usually do not waste any time convincing liberals to buy bitcoins...they can enjoy the system they prop up. Bitcoin is the first project in a very very long time that rewards those who question and resist the system. As opposed to today where people who buy into the system are rewarded the most (politicians, their bureaucrat entourages and bankers). That itself is one very beneficial outcome. There has been other projects recently but Bitcoin is the most successful project to achieve this.

Some coins have potential but the majority are the same and have the same code and same features with a different looking name and client.

Could the volume be low simply because people don't want to sell at these prices?
Possible but I dont think thats the reason.
