Starting in 15 minutes.

We have 3 midfield woah, seems nice not to play with the defenders in the midfield position.
Watching the game live right now, the same boring Juventus we saw recently is playing again. Ronaldo's whining a bit too much and everyone's expecting him to do something with this Benevento which is one of the worst teams in Serie A. I'm on over 2,5 goals for this game and I need more than this from Juve.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 21, 2021, 02:29:12 PM

West Hamam United will likely try to beat Arsenal today. For me, the odds are better to bet on West Ham. They will do everything just to maintain the 5th position in the current standings. I doubt the Arsenal will do well today, and they will lose this time. I don't think there are many goals in this match, total is under 3.
The hammers will give there best to beat the Gunners they are trying to be among the big four this 2020/2021 season, but I am aware of there abilities, the have a good team to play in Europe, but I think Arsenal have the upper hand, beating Tottenham in a feared Derby and qualifications in the Europa league, I think Arsenal will beat West Ham.
There's a good chance that both teams will score. West Ham, in any case, should manage to avoid defeat and IMO a draw cannot be excluded. I'm playing this safe and betting on both teams to score.
For the other game, Mourinho'll be demanding a strong reaction from his men after the Europa League debacle; to me that is another both teams to score game.

RHavar should be one of the site's co-owners so that is fine by me. Daniel, who is the one that runs it now, is also somebody that can be trusted.
I wanted to give it a go as I saw their bankroll is nice.

Both sites are owned and ran by devans exlusively.

One question popped to my mind: they talk about a special withdrawal system to enhance privacy:

We use a sophisticated coin selection algorithm tailored to bustadice when handling payments in order to offer our players and investors industry-leading privacy. Not everyone needs to know you're gambling!
Can somebody explain?

It may have changed but I'm guessing it's something similar to this (I assume bustadice uses the same coin selection algorithm because why not, or at least one slightly modified to account for a smaller user base):

I don't recommend violating anyones terms of use -- but speaking purely about bustabit privacy features:  Bustabit's uses a custom coin selection for deposits/withdrawals that makes it considerably harder for anyone to know if you're using bustaibit or not. It's not fantastic, but it's decent.

In the next release though, it's going to get pretty damn good.  Grin Our new algorithm (that has like >1 month of development time put into it, and uses a full on cutting edge constraint optimizer) will make it very hard for anyone to distinguish a bustabit address from any other. (although there's still a bit of things I need to figure out, like sending transactions over tor incase there's a spy node recording that I'm the probable origin of the transaction)
Great, thanks for the clarifications you gave me. Regarding the privacy subject I wonder whether something has changed since 2017 or not, hopefully yes. As a player I like the fact that I can deposit on several addresses. It makes my experience there much easier.

745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying 1 BTC is ‘like owning 60 cars? on: March 19, 2021, 07:55:07 AM
Depends on the cars one wants to buy  Cool Lamborghini is still out of sight but you can get a decent Jag with BTC.
Back to the article, the guy's too biased. He should first tell us how much energy consumption goes for the global operations of BoA.
After that we might start talking about BTC.
746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2021, 07:51:57 AM
Saw the price starting to waver, and set up another batch of orders. Bought dip @ $57.5k, $57k, and $56.5k - Set up all the way down to $55k for now.
You are the man, bro.

Glad my monthly buy for March was filled around 49K.

My rule is: set a day, set a price, buy and forget.

Until necessary.
747  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-03-16][ET]What’s India’s beef with Bitcoin, really? on: March 19, 2021, 07:51:34 AM
May I comment too? I think is all about historical heritage here  Grin Indians love gold and they can't understand that now there is a better form of gold that is not physical and that is called bitcoin. I know is intangible and you can't make jewels or spray your knobs with it but this is it.
I agree with others, let them remain behind the times.
748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 18, 2021, 02:16:08 PM
8+ years later I'm retired with a close to double-digit $million fortune. What an incredible experience it's been. Traded so many shitcoins I thought I would end up broke.

Congrats to everyone who made it.

Congrats. You should be able to live the rest of your life very comfortably even if nothing else happens from now. $5m invested in "safe" investments will return at least $200k per year on 4%. Your double digit fortune should probably and likely will triple or more in the years to come, if they are still in bitcoin.

I see people mention such high interest rate figures here but nothing seems "safe" to me except for perhaps a property portfolio and protected banks only pay 0.5% if you are lucky.

4% is the oft-considered SWR or Safe Withdrawal Rate. It's based on a study by some folks from Trinity University studying stock market returns and backtesting them over 30 year periods. They used historical data from 1926-2009 and tested various rolling periods (i.e. for 30-year retirements, they tested 1926-1955, 1927-1958, 1928-1957,…,1980-2009).

Basically, the 4% applies to a 60/40 equities/bonds ratio portfolio, typically the S&P 500 or the Total Stock Market Funds and bonds, typically all US. Some do global or international.

Here is a favorite calculator to play with: https://firecalc.com/

The default values there imply a 95% success rate starting with $750k and withdrawing $30k per year for 30 years.
Fantastic! Thanks man! Merit him I'm poor.
749  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock-to-Flow Model: Modeling Bitcoin's Value with Scarcity on: March 18, 2021, 02:13:26 PM
Bitcoin’s stock-to-flow ratio increased drastically in May 2020 - after the last halving. By contrast, gold’s stock-to-flow ratio was only insignificantly higher last May. If the May 2020 stock-to-flow ratio for Bitcoin was factored correctly into the model, a vertiginous price of $90K is yet to be explored.
Hold on.
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: March 18, 2021, 02:07:39 PM
Why those? There are many betters tokens out there; Grayscale I'm starting to not understand you anymore! I mean what can a Livepeer Trust be good for? Better position your GBTC trust instead has the wolves are coming after ya.
751  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: March 18, 2021, 01:57:27 PM
I wanted to share my latest experience with bustadice with everyone here. I played for about a week and I liked it; I got a small but decent profit and tested a withdrawal that was sent, like advertised, within 24 hours. I wasn't able to do any scripting but betting manually with hotkeys is fast.
I may come back as an investor as I trust RHavar a lot. The guy doubled a donation to a charity I made long ago.

For the time being Fold App is only available in the United States and I saw in some thread I can't recall there's another company called last bit that offers two different apps to connect LN to credit card payments or wire transfers.

Lastbit - Pay or Get Paid in Bitcoin or Euros
753  Economy / Economics / Re: Dorsey to donate his 1st Tweet benefits to charity on: March 17, 2021, 09:42:26 AM
I don't see the point with all this nft shit. I saw a guy buying a banksy, creating the nft of it and burning the drawing! What's the point in having a digital represantion of that. It's so silly too me all this!
Will stick to my bitcoins. jeez
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2021, 09:39:55 AM
I hope that today we will see a great game of Athletico Madrid, where they can beat Chelsea in the away match! I bet on Athletico to win
Congratulations on losing your money in advance, Athletico Madrid were lucky Chelsea didn't 5 against them in the first leg, Chelsea dominated the game from the first half till the end of the game, Athletico had few shot on target in the encounter, the way Chelsea plays it's very difficult to have a shot at their goalkeeper, the defence is very compact, the highest Athletico would ever see here is a draw. Chelsea is likely to win again, Tuchel is unpredictable, we may see the likes of Silva in the starting eleven today.
It's true that Chelsea's Tuchel has showed a great sense of solidity and defense-wise it looks a completely different team from what we saw with Lampard.
However, the colchoneros will play their cards, I'm sure, and I wouldn't call this over just yet.
This is gonna be a great match and if I have to think of an end result 1-1 might be it.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2021, 07:55:16 AM
Lack of experience in Champions League!
This is what happened yesterday between Real, which has won the highest number of cups so far, and Atalanta which evidently still need to get a sense of what's like to play big teams in the final stages.
I enjoyed the game and I won my bet, I had no doubts that RM was going to win the game.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 17, 2021, 07:52:16 AM
Great to see Leo Messi having fun again. Huesca couldn't do anything yesterday to even try to avoid this defeat when facing this kind of Barcelona! Good to see also that now Atlético Madrid has got a real contestant until the end of the Liga. Without playing in Champions League, Barcelona doesn't have much else to do too  Grin

Of course they do! Paying the bills  Grin I can picture a very large stack of t-shirt laying somewhere in a closed shop waiting for a vaccine and win that will never happen. But that's all right because...

Very funny  Grin
Anyway, Barcelona has some great chances to disrupt Atlético Madrid's plans for La Liga. Barcelona is playing very well now and the players look all perfectly tuned with the new course. My question is that if Atlético will be able to forget about the pressure that's coming from behind or if that will be something psychologically challenging.
Either way, good for us who watch the league since it's all very exciting.

It would be a huge shame if Inter will not pay his players before the 31 march deadline. Hopefully there's already some agreement in place that can't be shared yet and they will wait the very last minute to make the transfers. If that doesn't happen, the whole season is at a big risk of being distorted
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 16, 2021, 07:45:10 AM
These threads are very entertaining because of the many magic tricks that people invent to try and profit basically not even knowing what to do. I had personally removed of my alt positions in 2017 after the last big bull run. I follow a few of them but I'm not very interested anymore. It's already very difficult to keep up with all things bitcoin!
