So I've never mined solo before. Ever. I've never had the pleasure of discovering a block on my own and getting a whole bunch of coins. I'm paying attention to this coin..

Can someone just post a config file of exactly what a scrypt based coin needs to mine solo in cgminer?
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will buy 62 PPC for $18 USD on: April 24, 2013, 02:13:39 AM
Like I said, you can go to campbx.com

They accept dwolla with no verification. It's 25 cents to transfer dwolla there and 6 hours.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will buy 62 PPC for $18 USD on: April 24, 2013, 01:33:39 AM
If you are willing to pay a premium campbx accepts dwolla with no verification.

Did you just adopt at  it's birth, were you wealthy enough to buy a shit ton or what? Just how do you people get so many of one coin? I'm enacting this grand plan to MAYBE get 2000 of a coin this week, which will be the most I've ever had.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What current alt crypto-currency do YOU believe in? on: April 23, 2013, 07:35:47 PM
PPCoin, though there's still plenty of opportunity to overshadow it.

Feathercoin is a joke.

When the next scrypt based coin that actually adds some sick features to it comes out, that'll be huge. Feathercoin is just a distraction until then.

Why dump so much work into feather when the next scrypt based coin that comes out with actual features will overshadow it?

Their shit got delayed. It's been a rough month for Mt. Grox.  No one I saw actually thought it was COMING to Mt Grox this month, just that they'd make the official announcement, and the month aint over yet.
750  Other / Beginners & Help / Best Exchange that accepts Dwolla besides Mt. Grox? on: April 23, 2013, 05:45:51 AM
Just trying to buy some bit coins yo. It's like, what's a nigga gotta do? I sit here. I wanna buy some coins, and it's like, they be keepin me down yo?

But seriously. I was looking at campbx but coins there seem expensive.

Where do you people buy bitcoins and where - aside from Mt. Grox.

Can someone copy paste their cgminer config file for 7850 to get 300+?

I have an XFX 7850 Double D 1GB. I'm averaging 360Kh/s with the following:

No Overvolting
Core Clock: 1050
Mem Clock: 1300
Temperature: 62 C

Code:
"intensity" : "16",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "0",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"shaders" : "0",
"expiry" : "120",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"device" : "0",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"hotplug" : "5",
"log" : "1",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"scrypt" : true

Voltage seems to be locked. Voltage reported by GPU-z is 1.075. Memory won't go any higher without crashing.

Thanks.. will these settings work in cgminer?

Get two nice 1000 watt power supplies.

Might want to choose a coin and buy with cash until the GPU/ASIC miner situation plays out.

Its annoying but I wouldn't call it heavy. Heavy to me would be 100 posts 50 hours.

I've heard it's 5 posts and  4 hours lurked.
758  Other / Beginners & Help / Cgminer 7850 Scrypt Config 300+ khash/s? on: April 22, 2013, 02:54:13 AM
Hello.

I have a 7850 getting about 275 khash/s. I know this card can go up to around 300-330 without overclocking too much, I'm just looking for the settings in cgminer.

This is all I have now:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com:8341 -u Name -p pw -I 12

-I set any higher gives HW errors and a lower rate.

If people successfully getting more than 300+ without hardware errors could just copy paste their config that would be awesome.
759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feather Coin, PPC, DVC, TRC, FRC Are any of the low alt coins worth mining? on: April 22, 2013, 02:37:56 AM
If you aren't getting HW ( Hardware Errors ) I wouldn't pay too much attention to the coinotron hash rate. Half the time I check it it's 25%-50% of my rate, other times it's 100-150% of my rate, I think it gets your real rate over time it just doesn't keep up well.

Depends on the future. I'm sure one of the random coins will make more profit at times throughout the year.

Until then try this.
