Wait wait.. no.. I'm getting HW..
What's HW? Hardware errors. You shouldn't be getting any, I got a couple within seconds on those settings.

A get rich quick scheme?
That's what all the altcoins are (and I don't particularly have anything against them, I just choose to ignore them for the most part). It's just people wanting to make easy money though, make no mistake about it. How about the EUR is the alt to the USD. But that too will probably not get past your predisposition. How can you even remotely compare those two things?

need a simple option on wallet to have locked for sending coins but to allow minting, without going into files and playing with code risky and confusing needs a patch for this imo
Sunny?
thanks
Yes I already noted that the current procedure to enable minting for gui+encryption is not user friendly. It will be made easier for qt. Great to hear that Sunny. Another thing I keep hearing about is people complaining about the design/user friendliness of the official PPCoin site. Any word on that?

No, you mine from each card independently.
This. When multiple cards are in your machine they are all recognised (provided the PCI-E Slot they are in can handle them) and the dirver is installed for each of them. Any miner will also recognize all the cards but will use only one for mining. If you want to mine on several cards you have to start the miner once for each card and tell it which card to use. All that crossfire does is enable the cards to synchronize and split up the rendering of a frame. This is only needed for games, because the snychronization is crucial as the split up work between the cards usually means that card one renders the upper half and card two renders the lower half of a frame. If that renering isn't synched the two halfs do not match which looks stupid. The result of this is: Depending on availability near you you safe between 6 and 20 bucks in initial costs because you don't need to buy the crossfire bridges when you use the machione in question just for mining and not for gaming. Here's another question. If I had say 2-7 cards, could I use 1-6 of them for mining and one for gaming at the same time?

I think PPCoin would be better served if ppcoin.org looked more clean and professional. I like "different" websites but some people aren't really going to take it seriously when they see that. It's a very attractive coin otherwise, with a real difference to Bitcoin. It's implementing new ideas like the proof-of-stake that will push crypto technology forward, and Sunny King seems to know what he's doing in terms of developing it.
I'm pretty heavily into this cryptocurrency thing I don't think I've ever been to any of the coin's offical sites. It's really all about community support and getting as many places as possible to accept it.
