81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 05:20:28 PM
My prediction by the end of 2015;

Bitcoin >$USD4000

Litecoin >$USD200

most other alts staying bottom dwellers

I think that is not possible anymore. Too many "alternatives" are available and lot of BTC bag holders are moving towards crypto to increase their earning. Many are looking at BTC as innovation that was given to us by Satoshi and our job is to make it better by copying its code and add something to it. You can't get glued to BTC. It's job is done. There are many crypto that are 100x better than BTC as far as technology is concerned.

BTC will always be here in our memories.

been around this forum, trading in and out of these shitcoins, and I'm yet to see a single innovative new crypto lol

You've got to be kidding.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does price fall when I buy and it rises after I sell? on: January 03, 2015, 09:20:06 PM
This is a common issue, the fix is relativity straightforward though it will require some items.

ITEMS:

1 small mammal, squirrels and other rodents work, though honestly I got the best results from goats

1 one knife of at least 15 years old, and it has to have personally taken at least 13 souls

about 100 ml of mercury, this will be explained later

1 paper wallet of the crypto you wish you to fix your problem with, at least $100 usd value

PROCESS:

Slather your mammal in mercury, the mercury acts a lubricant for easier passage to the spirit plane.

Stick the paper wallet to the mammal.

Stab the mammal through the paper wallet using the sacrificial knife

While the animal is dying chant a prayer to the crypto god you wish to appease, whether it be ltc or whatever. The actual phrase is important but I find it works best if you make one personal to you.

Bury the animal in a secluded area. A proper deep burial using a shovel works best, but you can just throw it in a bush or place it on the ground and cover it with leaves.

Good luck!

Yurizhai is Bitshares shill - pretty annoying person ...

Coinhoarder is another famous Bitshares shill that starst LTC must die threads.  Maybe the same person?

I didn't start this thread, and I don't care about BitShares.. lol.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could fiat-pegged altcoins replace Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2015, 05:50:06 AM

i'm not interested in pegged coins and also not interested in overly complicated pegged coins because pegging isn't even possible - not in free market

ok, so it's competitor. Neither of them is interesting to me... I'll buy real dollar or real euro not some experimental shitcoin. I let others betatest with their money ...

I'm interested in trustless and decentral coins aswell as a free market so your complicated toycoins are really not interesting to me.

I don't think I'm going to be able to leave this conversation without calling you an idiot. You've made it pretty clear you don't  know what you're talking about.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could fiat-pegged altcoins replace Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2015, 05:42:47 AM

didn't see that ... because the whole CMC is SPAMMED with the bitshares crap. Every hobo-coin spamms CMC ... it's just a contest who can spam CMC better  Roll Eyes

A coin that needs to take up 20 slots on Coinmarketcap with artificially created marketcaps and no backing or liquidity is not to be taken serious. I think Bitshares is a joke. They can't even ann here because they need to control the conversation. It's such an old fart.
Coins that can't ann here can't be taken serious because they obviously fear open discussion.

All bitshares did was drop you off here and that's about it...

should be time for a thread "what's wrong with Bitshares"

My friend, what are you even talking about? You know NuBits has nothing to do with BitShares right?

if i would care enough maybe i would know that. Stuff dumps before i can research it in detail - so i just wait and see what doesn't dump after 6 months ... makes life easier...

if i went looking for connections between the two i am sure i would find more than one.

Nope, made by completely different people. If anything they are competitors and you would be interested in the Nu network since you hate Bitshares so much or whatever. But a little research does sound like a good idea for you.

I don't care about Bitshares at all. Find one post I've ever made shilling Bitshares.

NuBits volume is 750k, 2nd in all crypto today.

false statement

i think Bitshares bubble can pop any day now.

False what now?

all of crypto looks like shit - bitcoin lies in the dirt too. So what do you expect?

Again: i refuse to invest in scams or unfair coins - so i'm stuck with litecoin more or less.

I think right now are good prices to stock up. It is accepted by merchants and plays an important role in the ecosystem. I don't see it die. In fact it will rise again. I don't doubt that. Once it rises it'll rise fast.

You'll be the sad cunt raging when it hits 10$ again

I sold ALL my LTC a year back when it was 40$. I assure you I am no sad cunt  Grin I make money. I very happy!  Grin

i sold mine for 45$ and rebought twice as many. So shut up cunt and move along...

litecoin has solid community backing. Less than 20 coins do have that.

Solid community backing but absolutely no development. It's over.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could fiat-pegged altcoins replace Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2015, 04:27:19 AM
I doubt it, BitUSD only has $10195 volume today and that's probably because it's priced at $1.04 when it should only be $1.

NuBits volume is 750k, 2nd in all crypto today.

A steady coin could be of benefit as the fluctuations could or can be a problem, but what's to stop people paying more or less for these fiat-pegged coins?

Both BitUSD and Nubits use highly complex systems to keep the price roughly in line with their fiat equivalent(s). The peg usually isn't exact, but it's close enough. I don't know how it works and trying to understand it gives me a headache but I suspect there is some degree of centralization going on behind the scenes.

BitUSD maybe, the NuBits system is pretty simple.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Nubits on: December 29, 2014, 03:43:13 AM
Hi - was wondering what people thought of Nubits? I've got a good chunk of PPC and wondered if it might be a good time to dip my toes in the Nubits water while the prices are cheap.

Anybody got any thoughts?
The idea of Nubits is great, but it connect to PPC which destiny is dead.

The only connection between PPC and NuBits is that Nu dividends are paid in PPC.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How in the FUCK are you supposed to know what's legit? on: December 29, 2014, 03:33:54 AM
I agree - but from what I've read, people are saying that at that point, it's already too late.

WTF

Yes, getting in on something very early that is legit and ground breaking is dream level, stop wishing for that to happen because it's rare. Be happy if you can get into one fairly early and think medium term.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How in the FUCK are you supposed to know what's legit? on: December 29, 2014, 03:28:02 AM
At this point it feels impossible to keep up with every single development in the crypto world, however I feel that the truly legit ones that bring something to the table make themselves visible over time.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Nubits on: December 29, 2014, 03:14:54 AM
What exactly are you thinking about? The NuBits peg ( 1NBT = $1 ) has held near perfect since release, so does turning your PPC into the equivalent of U.S. dollars sound like a good idea? If so, do it! If not, hold onto the PPC.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple price going mad right now? on: December 19, 2014, 12:29:42 AM
Whatever happened to ripple being some super centralized premine scamcoin?

That was a different era. Seems to me people are more open minded about cryptos these days, premined and a certain level of centralization are ok. It's not like 2 years ago where there was Bitcoin, 2 alts and Rippnasty.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing-at-Stake & Long Range Attack on Proof-of-Stake (Consensus Research) on: December 19, 2014, 12:25:48 AM
Jordan Lee has claimed to have solved nothing at stake in version 0.4.0 of the Nu network. Vitalik comments on it. Is that strategy mentioned in the paper?
https://discuss.nubits.com/t/proof-of-stake-and-weak-subjectivity/716/3

Vitalik's comment on Jordan Lee's 'solution':

Quote
What they've figured out is a way of discounting double-votes from scoring, not disincentivizing people from making them

And then goes on to say:
Quote
So, the system still relies on weak subjectivity, so it's basically just another security deposit-like mechanism that as far as I can see has exactly the same properties.

^
peercoin nubits shill hype spammer

@OP
there are worse coins than PPC to put money on but also better ones  Grin

What I just said was 100% true and a fact. NuShare dividend payments are made only in PPC. The last dividend payment 2 weeks ago had $50,000 worth of PPC bought off the open market and given to shareholders. As the Nu network expands and finds more ways to generate revenue, dividends will come out faster. PPC will always be at least used for that purpose.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is peercoin good coin to invest in? on: December 07, 2014, 04:44:33 AM
Because NuShare dividend payments are only made in Peercoins, Peercoin will never die. This can't be said for a lot of cryptos out there. Even if literally no one used PPC outside of dividends, it still means it has a guaranteed use for the foreseeable future.
