741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 20, 2023, 02:59:20 PM
If someone lets their kids watch them while they are gambling online, they should at least educate them so they will understand. Of course, curiosity will play a big factor, and if they aren't guided, they may be misled. That's how simple it is.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 20, 2023, 10:31:57 AM
Gambling can have both positive and negative effects on individuals. However, if you are an irresponsible gambler, it can significantly impact your life in a negative way, particularly by endangering your financial stability and potentially leading to bankruptcy. This is why gambling operators always emphasize the importance of gambling responsibly, recognizing the addictive nature of gambling. Those who lack discipline are at a high risk of developing gambling addictions.

Conversely, if you are consistently winning in gambling, life can become financially easier, as the process of making money through gambling can be quite instantaneous.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are no KYC casinos taking risks? on: September 20, 2023, 10:10:40 AM

Do you think your casino can be regulated without the AML policy? The requirements says it's all, so is it possible that those casinos doing their no KYC stuffs are not even registered?

The AML policy has came into effect in later years after the KYC procedures have been required. When you sign up for a gambling site, you are typically required to provide certain information, which is considered KYC already. The specifics of KYC can vary from site to site. Some may be satisfied with basic information, while others may request documents to verify the accuracy of the information provided. Many sites currently do not require document verification, instead opting for information input. However, it's possible that they may introduce document verification in the future, so it's a good idea to be prepared for that possibility.

The size of your wager can indeed be a significant factor. If you consistently lose, sites may not be as concerned with KYC. But if you are winning, which means you are receiving funds from the gambling site, that's when they might implement more stringent KYC requirements.

Letting them know their right from their left about bitcoin and the possible ways on how to avoid those risk where possible.

Is this an idiomatic expression? Smiley

Sorry mate but can you explain further this statement of yours, I don't quite get it.
Yes mate, it's an idiomatic expression and it will be a pleasure to  further expatiate on it to your  clarity.

The statement means explaining to people all they need to know about bitcoin from the benefits to the risks involve.

The left: stands for the risks.

The right: stands for the benefits.

I suppose this explanation is clear to understand.
Thanks for clarifying it as regular users like me would not understand it, and yeah I clearly I understand it now.

Obviously, because if we are intol investing in business, we should consider both risk and reward as it does not guarantee easy money.
Those who would it is, surely is uneducated about bitcoin.
Each business investment carries its peculiar risk and profits, and to survive in it you must have yourself educated on the risks and benefits.

While educating yourself is an essential and fundamental step, it alone may not suffice. If you truly want to thrive, you need to focus on being profitable, similar to a game where winning each battle is crucial. Surviving isn't the ultimate goal; it's about achieving success and profitability.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most transparent, reliable and promising cryptocurrency at the moment on: September 20, 2023, 07:40:33 AM
Wow! I'm a bit skeptical when I hear the word 'transparent.' It makes me want to research more about the project. Could you provide additional information about the project so that we can verify if such a claim is truly realistic?
746  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's share some tips among ourselves. on: September 19, 2023, 08:00:27 AM
Bitcoin halving has consistently proven itself as a profitable event for me.

I wasn't an early investor, but I'm grateful that my first experience with halving in 2016 brought me substantial profits that came in 2017, allowing me to enjoy significant gains from a small capital investment. That year, not only did Bitcoin perform well, but altcoins also saw remarkable price increases. So, my strategy has been simple: follow the trend until it shows signs of breaking.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 19, 2023, 05:59:22 AM
The people have already made their choice, and it's clear they prefer a KYC casino over a non-KYC casino. I believe it's more appropriate to refer to it as 'decentralized gambling' because some casinos claim to be non-KYC but are still regulated. It's important to question the longevity of such claims. When a casino is regulated, it's obligated to adhere to the implementing rules set by regulators, including KYC compliance. So, it's wise not to trust those that claim to be non-KYC casinos.
Clearly, there's no guarantee that a casino will continue operating as a non-KYC platform, as government policies can change over time. Perhaps there's a specific threshold of funds that would trigger KYC requirements, and yet casinos may not make this information readily available to potential gamblers to avoid discouraging them. Instead, this requirement is often buried in the Terms of Service (TOS), and many gamblers simply click the 'Sign Up' button without reading the full TOS, remaining unaware of the KYC conditions.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 19, 2023, 05:14:38 AM
Usually, if we get income from our work, the government will ask us to pay income tax, where the tax money will be used for the benefit of the citizens and the country.
Come on! Do you seriously believe that? Most of our tax money goes directly into the pockets of greedy, pathetic politicians while a small portion of it is used for the welfare of citizens.

This happens in almost every country which is why protests regarding this issue happen regularly.
Of course not Grin
Those are just words that I often hear from the government and we as a society can only nod our heads because we already understand that those are just sweet words from them.
This has happened everywhere. They even commit corruption just to buy luxury goods and then show them on their social media page.
We as a society cannot do anything and just follow the rules of paying taxes while not knowing the actual allocation of tax money.
And thankfully, there are no taxes related to gambling so people who gamble don't pay taxes.

I wonder where you all live, because it is important in order to know whether you are right or just paranoid. There are countries where public money is really well controlled and, unlike decades ago, corrupts (the exception) end in jail.

For example, cases like Norway are paradigmatic: Norwegians don't only happily pay more than half of their salary in taxes (and happily because they do know that the money will be well used), but in cases like the 2008 crash, instead of rescuing the banks with public money, corrupt bankers went to jail, too.

I think that Europe is moving in this line, too (although the landscape varies a lot from country to country). But, for the rest of the world, you may be right, unfortunately.

I would love to live in a country where taxes are effectively utilized. Personally, I don't mind paying taxes or any new taxes they might implement because I'm confident that I, along with future generations, will benefit from them. However, in some other countries, the situation is different. The government is often controlled by oligarchs—wealthy businessmen who run major businesses in the country. Consequently, their personal interests tend to take precedence in all matters.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Experience for new and old gambler? on: September 18, 2023, 02:16:58 PM
More experience in gambling can lead to greater maturity. Whether you gamble on the streets, in a casino, or online, there's no difference in the platform; what matters is the lessons a gambler can learn from their experiences. These lessons can help them improve their chances of winning or mature into a more disciplined gambler.

It's not automatic that a good gambler wins, as the majority of gamblers lose money. Being good at gambling means knowing how to manage your losses and maintain discipline every time you gamble. Discipline in this context means not losing control.

751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 17, 2023, 01:06:50 PM
Perhaps in other countries with strict taxation laws, especially regarding gambling, they have a well-defined system for compliance. However, in my case, I haven't heard of gamblers in our country being required to pay taxes on their winnings. Therefore, I don't pay taxes on my winnings. Though, in reality, I'm not really winning overall, so it feels like a double loss on my part – losing while paying taxes.

If they were to require it, I believe making casinos withholding tax agents would ensure that gamblers pay what is due to the government.
752  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a crypto loan off 750 euro on: September 17, 2023, 11:41:02 AM
It's not going to happen, mate. Newbies often end up scamming their lenders when they don't have collateral to offer. Keep in mind that only high-ranking members are given the opportunity to borrow without collateral, as they have a reputation to lose if they mess up.
753  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Using Instant Exchange on: September 17, 2023, 08:22:33 AM
I would like to know if i use Instant Exchange https://exch.cx/ and convert my bitcoins to litecoin, will it serve as a mixing too and my coins can't be traced (act as a mixer) ?

Meaning if i do multiple transactions using that Instant Exchange and convert Bitcoin to Litecoin. (The destination address of LTC remains the same in all the transactions )

That could be a mixing but not in a deeper level, but your transactions can be traceable, especially if a particular exchange is obligated to disclose your transaction information on their platform. We have a government agency that oversees this, known as the Anti-Money Laundering Council. So, if you simply desire privacy for mixing and haven't engaged in any illegal activities, that should be sufficient to achieve your purpose.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 17, 2023, 07:04:53 AM
Breaking news:

Quote
ESPN Sources: The Blazers have ended trade talks on guard Damian Lillard and plan to bring him back to training camp for start of the season. The blazers had periodic offseason conversations with the Heat — Lillard’s desired destination — but no traction on a deal materialized.

https://twitter.com/wojzspen/status/1703084100712566962

So it seems that Lillard has been ask to go back to training camp as there are no deal made by the Portland management to his desired destination of Miami Heat. This could impact his performance though, and if I'm not mistaken, there are also reports that he might sit out the rest of the season? We will see what's going to happen on Lillard's case here at the start of the NBA next month.

I have read some days ago that Lillard even refuses to take part of training camp with the Blazers. That of course also means he doesn't want to start or play the regular season.
In my opinion that's really shameful. These players sign contracts and have to be held accountable for that. You can't just refuse to do your job. Next to not getting paid these players should also get extra fines for contract violations I think, otherwise this will never end.

Not showing up is damage to the team. Not only do they not have their best player and therefor it's impossible to compete but also they will lose jersey sales. Which fan on Portland thinks about buying Lillard's jersey if they have to assume he is leaving anyway -> missed sales for the franchise.

Yeah, it's really hard to see Lillard sitting this season and not playing for the Blazers. And if you look at his contract, it's about $216 million left. So that is a huge money that they are going to pay him if he is not going to play this season.

Looking very ugly right now, not good for Dame and for the Blazers as you have said, they are losing big money every day that Lillard misses and probably the tickets are also going down as fans doesn't want to watch the game live without him in the Blazers uniform.

That's why there's a contract. If Lillard doesn't violate his contract by sitting out the whole season, then he cannot be held liable for any damages. The Blazers should have already anticipated events like this, as similar situations have occurred in other teams in the past. So, if they choose to keep Lillard but he refuses to play, I think the better solution would be to trade him. In the end, it's not personal; it's all about business and should aim to be a win-win situation for both parties. And if there are losses involved in the decision-making process, at least they can work on minimizing them.
755  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are Technical Indicators useless? on: September 16, 2023, 12:52:29 PM
If it's useless, then it shouldn't have been created.

You are in charge of your own strategy. If you believe that certain technical indicators are not necessary for your success, then they are indeed useless to you. However, take a look around and study how successful traders operate. They use technical indicators and analyze them effectively, which is why I would say they are very useful for achieving profitability.
756  Other / Meta / Re: Is the first Merit the hardest Merit to get? on: September 16, 2023, 12:29:18 PM
Merit will come easily if your primary purpose for posting is to help. We have many merit sources here, and I believe they are adept at finding organic posts that are helpful to the community. You may encounter difficulties if you prioritize merit over the quality of your posts, as this could lead to disappointment if your expectations are not met. Most merit hunters are often participants in signature campaigns or aspire to be accepted into them. However, as I mentioned, merits will naturally come your way as long as you consistently create organic and helpful posts.

Usually, it's easier to earn merits on local boards, but only if the merit sources in that board are genuinely helpful to their members in ranking up. In my opinion, while merits shouldn't be the primary focus, based on my observation, when a member receives merits for their posts, they become more inspired to create valuable content. I believe we can encourage this behavior within our local community. Having more active members on the forum is beneficial as it leads to a greater exchange of ideas, which ultimately benefits all of us.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on Mt. Gox refund ? on: September 16, 2023, 08:28:39 AM
Even if the refund process is slow, it is still expected that people will panic, as they believe that over time, the price will drop. However, as long as the refund process is ongoing, the price is likely to slowly rise. I actually view this as positive news for the market. It may have a temporary negative impact on the price, but the fact that a major exchange from the past is in the process of issuing refunds should increase confidence among traders and potential investors.

So, if there is a price drop, always consider it an opportunity, as it is likely to be short-lived.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Stevenson vs De Los Santos - Nov 16 on: September 15, 2023, 01:08:19 PM
I also voted for Stevenson to win by KO.

I voted for Stevenson to win via decision. Although his last fight was won via TKO, I still believe that Stevenson is not aggressive enough to go for a KO. Instead, he will play it safe, as is his usual strategy, to ensure a win. If De Los Santos were to recklessly attack Stevenson, then maybe we might see a KO. However, if he also plays smart, this fight will likely go to the judges' scorecards, with another unanimous win for Stevenson.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 13, 2023, 06:45:59 AM
A good casino should also know how to handle jokes, LOL.

Well, if they have an ANN thread here, they can report to the mods if they think that the post violates the forum rules, or they can make it self-moderated. Jokes nowadays are already normal; we all know that new casinos are hoping to be successful, and every casino starts as a newbie in the gambling world, right? But that's the challenge there; they can't dictate what people think or say about them, so they have to address all of that in a professional manner.

When we say jokes, it affects our emotions, but casinos don't address things emotionally, so that's nothing.
760  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 13, 2023, 06:20:33 AM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
You won't be able to continue the service, but a fair exchange should allow you to withdraw your funds. They cannot confiscate your balance as they don't own it. However, there might be exchanges that would do so. It's better to be safe than sorry; just comply if you can. If not, consider trading on a Decentralized Exchange.
