7441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: January 02, 2020, 12:41:50 PM
@patrike - what can i do about this issue? I have a terminus R606 that I am monitoring on AM via port 4028

but now I cannot monitor my gpu rig on AM because it wants to use the same port so it mines but AM shows it as interface offline.

If I start the gpu rig first then the terminus it then cannot monitor the terminus

so I get that they are using the same port and that is the issue - is there a way to change this?
Awesome Miner allocates ports from 4028 and above for Managed Miners and this is not possible to change.

Are you running a local CgMiner process (or similar) for controlling the Terminus R606 miner? Does this one support running on another port (like --api-port 4123)?

yes - the terminus uses a local modified version of cgminer - i will check to see if it can run on another port

So yes I can change the port in cgminer for the terminus - simple actually - but how do I set AM to monitor it? Is it auto? If so why when running a managed miner thru AM does it not detect that AM is already listening to port and then use another one for my gpu rig?

7445  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fake MicroBt site on: January 01, 2020, 05:16:20 AM
I fell for their scam today.  Lost 22.1 Litecoin trying to purchase a Whatsminer M10S from "microbtwhatsminerd1 . com"

Here's the transaction record:

Don't fall for it people, sucks big time.  Sad

ouch man - always gotta do a lot of research for sure - the crypto world is chock full of scams!

Hi there,

I have been away from mining for a longer time. I opened a new account but was wondering if my original account "disclaimer201" still exists somewhere at Slush? I think I lost it and access to it when the pool website switched to the new design.

If it's gone okay, but it would be nice if there was some way to retrieve it. On top of the fun, I also discontinued using my old mail address, but I could reactivate it just for the purpose of recovering the account, if possible.

Thanks, happy new year 2020 to everyone and good luck mining to all!

you may want to look into other pools atm - slush is not paying their merged mining (going on 2 years) and their luck is take a turn for the worse
7448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo LTC Image and Support thread on: December 31, 2019, 02:22:29 AM
Futurebit Apollo not coming online:

Hi folks - Having trouble setting up my Apollo. Just received it today and went with the SD and PSU version so I can just plug and play. I did everything as instructed and signed up with litecoinpool using the USwest address. Logged into my router, found the IP, logged in and entered the information. Everything shows offline on the dashboard and when I try and start it it remains offline. Any help would be appreciated!

screenshot of the error? you might have a setting wrong - how do you have the password for the pool entered? simply as x ? if so try p: x

the pool I use requires that I do the p: in front of the password - almost like doing it in cgminer

Im using litecoin pool and copied their address and their username/pw for me. Its simply my dashboard saying "Miner is offline try to start it" with a start button. I click the start button and it just goes back to the same "miner is offline try to start it" screen.

you may need to reflash the sd card with the file again - I had to do it to mine once when my miner was not working. as for the pool - the pw is not your login password - it is the miners pw which by default is either x or 123 or blank for most pools however I have found the Apollo does not allow blank pw

7451  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 253 blocks solved! on: December 27, 2019, 08:55:42 PM

But Foundblocks in my miners status within 14 days show these values: 2,   2,   0,   7,   6!!!. If this value is correct my systems have had a super performance, but not for me! I derivative this result because of various values in the case they are all connected to a similar pool.
The main issue for me is whether could one be assure about the value showing in foundblock status?

are you mining to only one pool? if not, are all the pools for BTC? can you post a screenshot? It could be possible that you found blocks in some altcoin while part of a pool, if that is the case you do not get the full block reward as you are in a pool and then neither is it reflective of how your miners would perform in a solo pool

I don't think anyone will jump in with you to be honest your a new account with limited history.

I know some here do group rentals every so often I think the coordinator was philipma1957 you could ask about but the risk is a user rent's or points hashing power to your account you find a block then don't pay the member this is why most people just go it alone or wait  for a trusted member to organised a group mine for a shot at the glory.

We did it years ago 5 btc was kicked in and we hit two blocks of 25 coins each.

so 5 btc became 50 btc

I rented 1 ph for 25 hours.  the diff was 67,000,000,000 vs 12,900,000,000,000

so it is now 200x harder to do then it was back then.

I got the rental at very close to real cost.   that meant a 5/25 chance for use to hit a block.

and a 25/625 chance to hit two blocks.

ten people were in and we all paid .5 btc to get 5 btc.

i think btc was only 200-250 a coin.

To do this now we would need 2.5 btc. or .25btc a piece. 10 players and if we hit we would one block get 1.2 btc with a tip to ck.

I am not sure I want to handle 7200usd x 2.5 = 18000usd input

and 7200 x 12.5 = 90000 output

If we got  lucky and hit one i would be holding 90k
If we got really lucky and hir two I would be holding 180k

Not so sure I want to have much responsibility.

and phil, that is why you would be a good candidate - because you recognize the responsibility and I think we all know you would be honest and do the job if it won.

Well, of course they are rewards because if they have been payments then we wouldn’t have had this conversation in the first place, since these rewards were never paid out.

he has been working on the accounting system that will pay dust - he has explained that when it rolls out soon it will first pay those that are still mining (I believe this is because it can roll the dust payments up and combine them with a current block reward) then the next group would be those that are no longer active miners - I think this might be the group you are in.

I know this is a long time in coming but ultimately this ends up being just a few cents to maybe a couple of dollars. I do not think anyone has a substantial amount of unpaid "dust"

Who's Mining Where?

How's Mining going?

Mining is going well. No news is good news on that front. Currently we’re mining on Nicehash due to having a gpu/asic mix.

I have tried nicehash with my asics but they never stay connected - constantly disconnect and go hours upon hours of no work. only pool I have issue with using asics

makes me wish I had like a 350 coupon to toss on em - maybe buy 2 lol.
7458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: December 24, 2019, 03:44:43 AM
Thats kind of what I thought - I tried looking at my prior invoices and some seem like its after coupon value but then includes shipping. 2 or 3 are that way and then one appears to be just on the base value so meh - all of mine have been DHL except the last one which was UPS.

I may place an order - prolly will be on Jan 3rd though.
7459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: December 24, 2019, 03:05:38 AM
ok - I asked this before and I might be getting confused - if I order this T17 the price is 818.00 shipping is 123.95, brings it to 941.95 - then I use the coupon of 150, which drops price to 791.95.

In reference to tariff limit of 800 - which is used to calculate tariff?

a) 818.00 (base price)
b) 668.00 (base - coupon)
c) 941.95 (base + shipping)
d) 791.95 (base + shipping - coupon)

7460  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: December 22, 2019, 10:25:12 PM
my first t17 was purchased right before coins jumped in april 2019 was a nice cheap price it has run pretty much flawless since april.
my second t17 will arrive on monday the 23rd . I am hopeful this one is just as good.

I agree - mine has worked flawlessly. my first one was expensive - bought in May, was 1400 but I used a 368 coupon so that helped. this last one was the cheapest one I have had so far at 805

as a side note, all the T17's I have bought were listed/sold as 40TH/s units, they are averaging 42-43 though so I am also happy with that.
