7581  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitaddress.org bug?? private key mismatch on: November 26, 2014, 11:01:24 PM
If this bug is real it can make people lose a lot of bitcoin. People make paper wallets and send moeny to them and never check if the key matches the address or not. How do one check the key offline?

Download Electrum on a machine that has never had it installed before & unplug machine from internet.
Run Electrum and then Wallet --> Private keys --> Import [type in the private key and make sure it brings up the correct address.]
Then delete all the info from the proper locations on your PC to be sure that there is no record of the private key.

7586  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: November 19, 2014, 01:21:42 PM
Oh man, I accidently sent BTC to my old localbitcoin address, saw too late it had changed to a new one.

It is with relief I can say that it ended up in my account anyway!

As of a few weeks ago your address changes every time you send to it. You can always re-use the old ones too, but you get a new one every time you send coin to the new one.

7589  Economy / Computer hardware / How much is a BTCGarden AM-V1 worth? on: November 09, 2014, 02:11:40 AM
Thinking of selling mine. Just the unit & cables, no Pi or anything else.
Is $150 shipped in the lower 48 too much?

7597  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 x Antminer S1 on: October 30, 2014, 10:18:24 PM

BTC.08 each and I'll provide shipping. Smiley

Sent you a PM, I have one of the boxes. Can't find the other.

7598  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 2 x Technobit HEX16A2 on: October 30, 2014, 09:16:58 PM
You know you want them. You know you want to give me BTC.1 for the pair shipped to your home (in the lower 48 states).
You know you do.

Seriously, they have been sitting in a box for a while now. Although they both worked fine when I put them away I have no idea now, nor do I care for what I am asking for them.
But for BTC.1 you can find out. Will they ROI? for BTC.1 even if they both only work a little, then yes in about a year you will have your BTC.1 back. But for that year you can hear
the fans spin, and know that you are turning electrons into some BTC.

That or they are nice paperweights take your pick.

No I will not ship out of the lower 48 states cost is to much.
They did work. I boxed them 2 months ago when I thought they were sold but the deal never happened so they have been sitting in a box on a shelf since August.

7599  Economy / Computer hardware / [Sold] 2 x Antminer S1 on: October 30, 2014, 08:27:55 PM
BTC.25 shipped lower 48 states only.
Shipping from NY
If you want escrow you pay for it I like OgNasty.

You just get the Antminers no extra fans (you don't want the ones in the picture anyway) no power supplies, just the 2 units in the picture. And yes, I know it's not a great picture but it's got my forum name & today's date on it. What more do you want.

7600  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [OPEN] ASICPuppy.net - NEW R-Box($79.99) RPis, Breakout Boards. on: October 25, 2014, 01:46:32 AM
New price on the New Rbox. $79.99

With the RPi that comes with the 8 pack of R-Box is it preloaded with anything?
Thinking of giving it as a gift and want to make it as simple as possible.
