7581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Loses $42 Billion in 3 Days as Tokens Struggle on: May 28, 2018, 11:33:30 PM
Probably that the bear market is still real and maybe it's time to stop looking at it for a while...there has been soooo much over-exuberance from novice investors in this market over the past 5 months...

So much:

"The bear market is over!"

"Crypto market about to boom again!"

I still can't believe all the new youtubers who came out of nowhere in late 2017 who make these rediculous thumbnail videos shilling their coins, or mis-leading people saying the market will start to go up again on a certain month.

From my experience (4 years in crypto) the summer months are pretty bearish, it may take a long time for the crypto market to start going up again.

When I got into crypto in 2014 we had a 2 year straight bear market...I wouldn't be surprised if we see another one.
Newbie investors would probably have these kind of lines and most people who do ask on speculation and economics thread we would see lots of them asking and saying the same thing all over again when they do saw declining prices of crypto or even on decreasing of overall cap. If you been here for years you would really able to point out and observe on how these trends goes into a particular time frame of the year. Not always we do have bear market, sooner or later we would see greens once again.
7582  Economy / Gambling / Re: CRYPTO POKER - FREEROLLS EVERY 2 HOURS | 2X WELCOME BONUSES on: May 28, 2018, 10:47:02 PM
~

That banner was a placeholder and originally was meant to say mBTC instead of BTC.

You are funny, guys. Smiley Are you saying that this banner

was meant to say "THE BIG 0.5 mBTC FREEROLL"?  Huh Really, THE BIG?  Cheesy

Nice catch, if it was meant to say 0.5mBTC then there should not be "BIG" on it. It should not even needed to make a banner for 0.5mBTC freeroll as it wont be attractive banner. OP need to be honest in this case, I think it was planned for 0.5BTC freeroll but seems that the OP changed his mind to run it for some reasons.
Just as i expected its impossible for a freeroll to be on 0.5btc which i do already suspect on the very first place that this was on mbtc unit and im really right with that. The thing on here is that they do make use of the word "BIG" which people cant really see anything big with that amount.
7583  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The Law of Blockchain: Beyond Government Control? on: May 28, 2018, 10:12:16 PM
You have raised a very interesting topic here. The answer is no for bitcoin or for any other similar currency. I am not considering centralized currencies like smart contract tokens or Tether. If we consider currencies like bitcoin and litecoin, trying to get control over it will remain as a big joke for the government watchdogs because it is not possible technically due to the pseudo anonymous nature of blockchain. Without any central location to track, the governments will end up chasing a non existent oasis in the dessert.

However, if you maintain an account with an online wallet provider, then there is a chance of being caught if the company agrees to hand over the user's data to a particular government.

The government can even try to restrict access to the internet within their boundaries the way India tried to ban porn sites. But using tor or vpn, this restriction can be easily bypassed. So it is indeed beyond control of the governments and that's the only bottleneck we are facing towards the adoption.
Government cannot restrict the access. Reason why porn websites were ban were because there IP addresses were ban. When the DNS of any system tried to look up for such websites notice would go to the government which sent an error message or whatever message. Same thing cannot happen for bitcoin because it does not uses any IP addresses. We have our bitcoin clients which use to create P2P network with every person. There is no IP address at all existing in the crypto world as far as I know so how could they ban this?
Government is already aware on that stuff where they do figure out that they cant really completely ban bitcoin when it comes to network restriction. They cant control anything that goes thru the network and thats the benefit of blockchain technology which is commonly used by cryptocurrencies. It way out of control when it comes to technical aspect but in some areas government could make an involvement when we do talk about exchangers.
7584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: May 28, 2018, 09:44:42 PM
I will tell you that you have steel nerves if you invest in new projects, since most of them end with failure, but if it's really good to predict everything, then you can earn good money!

Many projects came with a very good results and that is why many people like to invest only in ICOs. I also invested in many ICOs which were very good for me for getting the profit. Some of them seemed much stronger so I kept them for longer. Along with that I also invest in those coins which have a good future.

Still there are many projects which are scam and who do not know that the project they are starting is related to reality or not. They only think for a unique idea and they start to work on them and after getting the money of investors they are unable to complete the project.
There are only two paths where a certain project would end up with, either they would succeed or end up dying to early because the team behind abandoned the project which even if it do have an idea but the targets are way too unrealistic then this thing would normally happen later on. ICO investments doesnt really give assurance even reading up a good roadmap doesnt mean it do have a high chance on success and profiting.
7585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists! on: May 28, 2018, 09:19:08 PM
I agree with the idea that those legal gambling places or huge casinos that can contribute to governments taxes. Aside from this the only positive thing it gives me is money, rarely give me money. Honestly, im more prone to lost than to win. I can consider entertainment because i usually gamble specially when im bored.

The only benefits that you could get that is the profits that you could have if you are a lucky person who always win in gambling, but if you are not, I assume you are not having any benefits at all, and don't you think that even if you are only treating it as an entertainment is that you are still losing money because of it, I hope you'll realized that there is a lot of ways on how to entertain yourself without losing any amount of money.

How do you say luck is the benefit mate. You need to get the profit means you should be sure that you will get the return for your investment but here there is nothing like that mate. I advice you to not take luck as the benefit in the gambling field.
As said, if you want to spare the time for investment alone you will be happily enjoy the moment and thrill mate.
But entertain without loosing money in the gambling field is not available at all.
Entertainment would always have a cost when it comes to gambling field which if you do involve yourself into things then expect you would really need up to put some money and winning is just really a plus.If you do seek out for leisure times then you cant go wrong with gambling but just always remember on the risk involve on it.I do really see that it has really benefits on your own personal and majorly with the government itself.
7586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trade safely without any loss on: May 28, 2018, 08:54:51 PM
Safe? = 100% risk free of losing money which we do all know its entire opposite on what we can able to see when we do talk about Trading. Once we are involved into this kind of investment then expect you are already prone on losing out money because no loss do only happens on our dreams, Trading involves tug of war of a seller and a buyer where there would be always a competition happen in between for the sake of profitability which it will always end up for a person to gain or lose up money on each side.

7588  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-26] South African Police Investigate $80 Million Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme on: May 26, 2018, 03:20:34 PM
2 percent interest per day, 14 percent per week and ultimately 50 percent per month.

With just having that kind of line or offer theres no doubt this is just a ponzi scheme and nothing on this world where investment do make such big returns on a short period of time.If you are a sensible investor and wise enough you wont easily fall for this trap and i cant imagine that 30,000 investors do believe on this thing. Sad thing for them and would really be a good lesson learned.
7589  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡8BET.io Bitcoin Lottery⚡ FREE tickets daily ⚡ Jackpot 2.3 BTC/16 BCH ⚡ Box bets on: May 26, 2018, 02:59:50 PM
Hi everyone

We've just launched a new BOX BETS feature which allows you to improve your odds of winning on any ticket by selecting more than 6 balls - and thus playing every combination of those balls on the ticket!

Let us know what you think! Good luck!

I think it is a different kind of games right? Because I do not see that box in faucet mode. I keep trying using the faucet here until I can hit 1 btc or at least 2nd prize. I do not know if this is acceptable or not because it seems that I keep on abusing the site as well by using only faucet to play. If you are not consider this as a abuse then may be I will keep try it until I can hit 1st prize

Anyway I already hit 3 times 2 match numbers. Hope that I can win more here
I dont think they would consider since its not an abuse. Claiming faucets and used it up for the sake of hitting the higher tier prizes. Good for you that you do able to 3 times 2 match numbers with a faucet.Considered yourself lucky and i might try it too.  Grin
7590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: When will the bounty manager distribute the coin after the bounty is completed on: May 26, 2018, 12:13:40 PM
Usually about 2 weeks to 2 or 3 months. In accordance with the rules on the bounty. There is also a distribution done after ico is completed. If the bounty amazix distribution done 30 days after bounty is complete.
To be honest it's not upto the bounty manager to decide on those dates. They are finalised by the ICO team depending on their hard cap achievement.Usually this period last between 2 weeks to 30 days but again most of the managers get the green flag in 2 weeks.

The past and the recent is just like the same where manager do really have the power or capabilities if they would tend to cut up tokens and stakes they can but their capability would really be only limited. Why? because the team would really still have the final decision on giving out the tokens which means distribution will either be handled by the team itself or would be passed up into the manager.Ive seen different cases.
Right. They can never trust the manager with that amount of tokens regardless of well he has managed the campaign. There have been cases of the manager running away after sending most of the tokens to himself leaving other bounty participants with zero money for their efforts.

For some reputed managers then theres no doubt that most team will entrust the distribution of bounty tokens but most of the time i do see they are the ones who do distribute just like been said above final decision would be theirs.Just like what happen to Atriz, bounty tokens on moonlight havent been distributed and leave bounty participants in tears. Even managers would cover a scammy project for the sake on making money and now we do see the consequences but still its too late.
7591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need your opinion on Bitcoin payment idea on: May 26, 2018, 04:09:58 AM
Example
Mister X needs to pay his electricity bill with crypto. He posts the bill data to the site and the crypto he wants to pay with. Once someone wants to buy crypto they simply pay the bill for mister X and they get the crypto unlocked in the escrow.
with this example, you just want to be a middle-man and charge fee on the transaction?
why not just establish a business type of payment service, accepts crypto and makes fiat payment on customer's behalf?
next you just need to sell your crypto balance to refill and keep enough balance on your fiat account
you need to do some good book keeping to maintain good cash flow and to time your crypto selling for maximum profit
This would complicate since the money would be accumulated into his business would still comes to crypto. I would tell if how he gonna refill fiat if his dependent also into that money. Conversion would always be the issue on here but if you do act as a middle man and your country is way not too tight when it comes to cryptocurrency involvement then this would be a good service for those people who do have big problems when it comes to conversion with their cryptocoins.

7593  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-24] Regulatory Uncertainty Pushes BTC Below $8,000, Tom Lee Predicts a on: May 24, 2018, 10:57:17 PM
Whatever it is that's pushing the price down, Tom Lee doesn't have that many credits left when it comes to his predictions. He keeps going on till he's right at some point and brag about how he was right.

If we look at some of the main points of the market in the last months, then aside from the correction that was due, we're experiencing a lower overall demand combined with range manipulation by whales.

Regulatory pressure is always an easy external force to blame. People should accept the current market, and just have peace with it. It's pointless to be overly bullish while the situation just isn't reflecting that sentiment.
What we would expect? Those kind of people either famous analyst or person on economic matters will mostly give out their own views as much as they can and when prices do head on what they do predict then it would really add up into their popularity.Normal thing for them to do such thing and i agree that regulatory pressure would always an easy thing to be blame and theres no need for you to be expert because even just a common trader or investor would able to point out that basic reason.
7594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING ADDICTION: when it begin, and how to stop. Let me help you on: May 24, 2018, 10:18:30 PM
To be honest with you being really addicted to gambling only happens when you have a weak mind. I will admit I did gamble in the past and obviously the possibility of winning a lot of money in 1 spin/click is very tempting, at least at first, once you start losing or when you lose everything the temptation becomes anger. I once earned around 2 bitcoins starting with 0.004 in the past, it was around 1k $ total and then I lost everything. Losing everything didn't make me want to play more, it made me angry and made me realize I was stupid enough to keep playing even after such big winnings.
this is what is vital, when we are faced with great victories, and at that moment we become addicted. Well, actually even though we are addicted to gambling, in fact we should still be able, I'm a gambling addict. but I can hold myself when I do not think I can afford to lose more
Good for some people who can able to control themselves but there are really people who cant able to resist such addiction.Big winnings do act as a booster which would add up the addiction or do create gradually the motivation to play even more.If you do have financial capability then high chances you would fall into addiction but if you are on a situation where money is important due to responsibilities i would say that your self awareness will surely control you.
7595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Selling ICO News/Reviews Site on: May 24, 2018, 09:45:58 PM
Hi guys, I have an ICO News/Reviews site for sale. Name withheld for obvious reasons.
Traffic figures are fairly decent, and there is a good amount of high quality existing content and good SEO.

This could be useful good for marketing agencies or aspiring ico reviewers/writers looking for a platform/existing brand to build off.

PM if interested.

Its much better if you would disclose on the site name or url so that anyone would able to see and might consider to buy it and anyway this kind of selling would be more appropriate to be posted on here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0 or on  here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=234.0 which i do see a good place for faster selling. Good luck.
7596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITMAIN IS A TOTAL SCAM on: May 24, 2018, 09:15:10 PM
Not totally scam but usually they have so worst customer service that it makes me think that they are scam.
Nearly one years ago they were active here and threads opened in scam accusation board were taken seriously.
Now their profile is tagged too because of their shady actions.
Thank you for sharing this but where the hell can we buy those equipments? They are still the only choice.
If you have experience with baikal, what can you tell me about them? Does it worths to buy from them over bitmain?
Observe the same thing where those early years where Bitmain is way too responsive when they are just starting up on the business but now when they do already somehow control the market when it comes to miner supply it turns out that they are already forgetting or lost focus when it comes to customer service and im not surprised that complaints is already piling up as the time goes by.You are right we dont have any other options rather than on bitmain itself when it comes to hardware matters. There are some choices but im still confident with the main company.
7597  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-23]Paypal:We'll 'Definitely support bitcoin if... on: May 24, 2018, 07:47:17 PM
So, they are basically saying that BTC has to do all the work on its own and once it's already taken over the world PP will embrace it. That's not how it works. If you do that you'll be one of the last to do it. In other words, you'll get left behind. I don't really care, it's your company, but it already is a better currency, you're just too ignorant to notice.
They do already noticed such thing thats why they do said up these words as a diversion of their worrying into the current situation which is happening to bitcoin. It would surely gradually took over PP place where people would able to recognize the existence and realize the benefits that they can get thru Bitcoin in terms of payment system. If it does then its time to say Goodbye.
7598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding Online Casino Bonuses on: May 24, 2018, 07:18:54 PM
400% is very unreliastic, it's like you have to go with many obstacles before getting it for real. If most of the casino's will do it easily and are generous enough to offer more than you have deposited, all of them will be bankrupt.
What others said are correct and true, there's a hidden condition on it.

No casinos will be bankrupt because of such bonuses because they have calculated it very well to make it big -EV for players but make it look like a +EV for players using the high percentage bonuses. No casinos will be so generous to give free big bonuses without hard terms to be completed by players.

Correct, they are not building a charity on here to be generous on giving out money into its players. If theres a bonus then expect it is already been part of their plan to make profits. It may turn out to be beneficial for us on our own view but most gamblers do failed out to see this thing which the actual purpose of these bonuses are just to lure in people into the site. When you already realize that bonuses are shit things when you lose up your money due you cant able to get out with the rollover.
7599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Send ETH to receive bounty token! on: May 23, 2018, 11:28:09 PM
I understand the need for measures against multiple signups. And also like that there are measures against it, although I don't like to do give away all my data to some strangers that might even turn out to be scammers. So I generally stay away from bounty campaigns that require kyc. That leads us to the very important point of the obligatory need to state clearly from the beginning of the campaign if kyc will be necessary to participate or not. Everything else is just not fair, and represents a red flag for me. Just can be really disgusting if you worked for a project throughout the whole campaign just to find yourself in the dilemma of rejecting your reward by protecting your personal data or risk an potential breach of your personal data just to get what you honestly worked for and therefore deserve. But still I do think that there need to be measures against the heavy fraudulent activities going on in bounty campaigns.
Dilemma on choosing up whether you comply the KYC process or just simply dont mind on your token share or salary on taking part of their bounty program. For most people this would really be a hard situation and for those who in need of money wont really have any choice but to comply with the things needed even they dont like the process. It sucks and even on my part i dont like for my identity to be exposed of even i dont need to hide something but i dont like my informations would float into internet world.
7600  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare BTC estimates/payout values WRONG on: May 23, 2018, 11:05:53 PM
A common people is the most potential victim with such scams like this. Why?
A rich guy can self mine and can do it all with his own money (hiring a specialists that would setup for him, buying the asics) while as for a common, he can't possibly enter or try mining without the aid of cloud sites like Hashflare.

I think there's too many of them which I called as a "common" and that's what HF likes.
1000 low priced contract is better than 1 high priced one.

Not always the case since ive seen some rich people do make investment with these cloud mining sites.Just like my neighborhood even though he has the money to spend on asics but he decide to let those cloud mining handles his money and now he regrets on the thing he had done.I already warned him about that but still he decide to proceed and now he ends up on negative until his contract ends.

I dont see why there are still people who do mind on investing into these things which even just a basic calculation they would able to find out their profitability.
